I have a mean build on Ghostface that's PWYF, Furtive Chase, PWYF, Game Afoot, Corrupt and Drop-Leg Knife Sheath.
I'd say the best fits for PWYF are stealth killers where dropping chase is part of their gameplay. Wraith is a very good contender since he can end chase instantly by cloaking.
-
I like the Slaughtering Strike as a concept, but the turncap and cooldown make it feel awful. I hope he gets tweaks in the future.
-
You should be able to make THEM abandon, actually.
Send that default Feng to the shadow realm!

I’m pretty sure Pixelbush coined the term
The Twins main complaining about killers that go fast and hit the Survivor???
-
If you get picked up from the dying state two(?) times, the next time you go down it gives you the abandon option i'm pretty sure.

1 blink 4.4 Nurse would probably end up being more boring than current Nurse.
Literally just wait for animation lock and then get a hit every time.

Last we heard they decided 2% was viable. They got trashed on reddit for that and all they had to say was "thank you for the feedback"
Hopefully at some point she gets an update like knight has"thank you for the feedback surrounding knotted rope"

Myers and Pig were turned into Dashslop
Pig??? The one who has had a dash since DAY ONE?
Whoever coined the term "dashslop" has done irreparable damage to the community. #2 misused term of all time honestly.

Y'all can change your name around in a game? Wouldn't be that get confusing, particularly for streamers?
Not really. You could only change the name before getting into a game, not mid-game.
I liked to use funny character-specific usernames from time to time.

My favorite part is where they give barely half of Blurry Photo base kit. But now running Blurry Photo is actively WORSE than before number wise. Sure it's only 0.02 seconds but like… did the addon actually need to be adjusted for such a small QoL?
Not to mention unironically nerfed Slashed Backpack when it was already a bad addon. They love to only add half an addon as basekit and then nerf the addon. It's like enrichment for them or something.
-
I like how feedback was constantly asking for them to make the original Blurry Photo basekit but instead they made his teleport only marginally better while nerfing the hell out of the addon twice.

Yeah, Sluzzy had some pretty wild takes back in 2019 and 2020 DBD. Back when it was still Survivor-favored and we had busted stuff like old DS, old DH, insta heals and so on.
Brother was SURE the game was Killer sided.
My god that's a name I haven't heard in a LONG time.
I wonder what they're up to now…

I mean, Botany lets you self heal 50 % faster without any downsides. Road Life might be 100 %, but only once IF not interrupted on top of 20 other downsides and requirements. This Perk is just silly.
Yeah, like I said, not an amazing perk by any means. I just like making perks that are viewed as bad or useless work.
I think ditching the Injured requirement would make it kind of insane, but as it stands it'll stay an underused perk.
-
I just farmed for it. Indicated that I was friendly and then had Survivors go into the doors.
I got like 6/15 through legit gameplay and that took days.
-
Honestly, I think the intended use is primarily for self healing.
I think Road Life has the biggest self-heal buff potential in the game, as anything with that much Heal Speed is usually restricted to altruism only.
I had moderate success running it with a medkit, Built to Last, Deadline or either Stake Out if I'm having skill issues hitting greats, or Botany if I want even more heal speed. I do a gen while injured, and then pop the heal when it's charged, or if I finish the gen.
As an Altruistic perk it's genuinely terrible, but the fact that it applies to self heals is the secret in the sauce. It's not an amazing perk, but it's a fun build to run.

There were other people that gave PTB feedback, that the increased crawling speed was punishing killers even if the killers weren't excessively slugging for long periods of time.
And if Tenacity has the increased crawling speed buffed, but also delayed by 10 seconds, then it should make almost everyone happy. Because the perk would be buffed over for actually problematic slugging, but wouldn't be weaponizable against killers that have only slugged the survivor for 0.5 seconds.
it should make almost everyone happy
No, it'd make you happy. Probably not anyone else, because there were practically zero specific complaints about Tenacity as a perk.

I don’t like it when defensive perks are used offensively. This is the perfect time to fix these issues.
OTR should get a new effect, but still not have an endurance effect, so the perk can’t be used offensively.
And Tenacity should get crawling speed back, but delayed by 10 seconds, so the perk can’t be used offensively.
I think you're the only person on the planet who's unironically asking for a Tenacity nerf of all things.
Congratulations on having a completely unique take, I guess.

Tenacity should get the increased crawling speed added back, but delayed by 10 seconds, so that it's actually anti-slugging, and not "let's weaponize the perk to immediately crawl under an undropped pallet" perk.
You are allergic to Survivor perks doing anything useful at all, it seems.

Crackpot theory, but there's a part of me that's wondering if the entire point of the 9.2.0 PTB was to Trojan Horse in the nerfs to OTR and Tenacity.
That's far too much work for something they could realistically just do on a whim anyway.
Like if they nerfed OTR out of the blue, even if there was outrage the developers could just… not revert the change. Nobody can make them if they're really that committed to an idea.

If the Community waste all BHVR hard work again on another Killer then I will be severely disappointed.
Luckily with a lil time investment, new Myers performs fine so I think his statistics will say otherwise from "99% feedback."
People who would not be satisfied with current Myers, idd call them snobbish and very picky. Its downright outrageous BHVR delivers an excellent new power which performs excellent, people I have talked to about this wont even try him more than once.I am disgusted by how our developer is treated by this Community, frankly.
Its downright outrageous BHVR delivers an excellent new power which performs excellent
They slapped a turncap and a cooldown on his lunge and made it break pallets. It's not exactly a mastercraft of technical work like you seem to think it is.
You do not need to start personally insulting people who don't like the power either, it really isn't that serious.

Do no harm goes from 50% to 100% for each hook state but sure i didnt read the description.
As for no quarter and leverage i agree.
Dunno abt self care being buffed but sure i wouldnt mind never really ran that perk.
I still think resurgence should go back to 50% there is no reason someone should be able to reset in just 5 sec by themselfs for free with just one perk.
Why shouldnt wmi get nerfed? Its not like 75% extra speed would make it slow or garbage, and i mean its pretty free all u have to do is just unhook someone and it last for quite a while too.
Tho i guess u are right abt dnh, it can stay the way it is since its only 100% when it really counts.
Why shouldnt wmi get nerfed?
I just don't think there's really any need for it. In terms of the grand scheme of the game it's probably one of the most reasonable perks out there. Altruistic Healing perks are generally passive, and WMI has an activation requirement.
-
I don't think anything needs a specific nerf outside of Syringes. Nobody reasonable is asking for a WMI nerf, and Resurgence was at 50% for a while and it wasn't really used. Do No Harm is already at 50% as well, so I don't think you're actually reading the perk descriptions properly.
In terms of healing perks, the only ones that I think majorly need changes are Leverage, No Quarter and Self Care, and those should all be buffs. Leverage being made 30% is barely better than Mangled. 50% at 45s seems slightly more reasonable.
-
We only need a nerf to Syringes.

It's not really about whether it's horror or not, it's the kind of horror. I feel like DBD presented itself as something more Wes Craven or Rob Zombie adjacent when it first launched and it more or less kept that feel for a while. Junji Ito fits that category well to me. But the more flamboyant presentation, which is emblematic of things like Kpop and anime, betrays that feeling. But there's a lot of ways to look at it too. The game has to change over time and material starts to run thin, so it makes sense to branch out. They also have to appeal to a shifting audience, which is why I think we're getting flashier things as time goes on as well. But that's just my opinion.

I can't recall but it sounds familar.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4008683#Comment_4008683
I'm fine with that, since we get Shards. But it would be neat to have a little badge for every 5 Devotion levels or something.
Not gonna lie Wes Craven's work is full of theatrics and comedy. Freddy Kruger is always quipping one-liners and the like, it's generally quite flamboyant.
Scream was quite satirical in nature as well.

You cannot tell me, that they didnt see this coming. I refuse to accept that anyone in the developement team saw all these changes and thought: "Eh, seems fine".
Ive defended their practice for years, but after the last couple of months I simply cant defent this anymore. Im deeply sorry, but this happens, when trust is broken.I mean they were tweaking numbers with no testing to get it in for Live. I can see how the full consequences might fly under the radar.
-
I hope they review the Milestone Quest nerf with the next Rift. This one was especially hard to do for people who can't play every day.
-
Object + Eyes of Belmont don't work together either.

It's the theme that's the issue. I think Junji Ito was a perfect fit, but Tokyo Ghoul or Attack On Titan aren't. But considering how much they've branched off of the original feel ever since All-Kill, I can't really complain about it. If anything there's no excuse not to add Scooby-Doo anymore.
I'm not sure why Tokyo Ghoul isn't a good fit specifically. I'd be more inclined to agree with Attack On Titan, but Tokyo Ghoul is filled with a lot of horror elements and is very gorey.

Obviously I dont know for certain whether it was the intention behind the buffs for the release version, but im gonna say this:
Releasing a character in an obviously overtuned state, knowing that it will create a miserable experience for all players (survivors while the killer is overtuned / killer when the character is eventually nerfed) is not consumer friendly practice.
It reaks of making a quick buck and this is not what should be accepted by the consumer.
I really hope im wrong with this assumption.
I don't think cashing in making a quick buck and then nerfing the character is something they actually want to do. If people are constantly worried that a character will be wildly different shortly after release then people are going to stop buying DLCs. There needs to be some element of trust that things will stay relatively untouched.
What I think happened with Krasue is they thought "people said that these elements of the killer were too weak, we'll just do a few number buffs" without realising how strong that'd actually make the killer. Good thing about that, though, is that tweaking the numbers once again will probably put her back in a balanced state.
It also didn't help that the anti-tunnel/slug changes kind of overshadowed any killer-specific feedback, as the state of the game was so Survivor favoured that it wasn't really possible to get proper feedback on the Killer's strength.
-
I mean there are P100 rewards coming up, they were just delayed to make room for all of the upcoming improvements due to the recent buggy releases.
I'm not sure where the argument that Tokyo Ghoul doesn't fit in with DBD comes from. There's a good amount of horror in it, and I think people are quick to discount that just because it's an anime. He absolutely fits into DBD imo.
Nic Cage is probably a more decent argument but considering Survivors are literally just people, it's kind of whatever. Horror and comedic relief go hand in hand a lot of the time too, I think people tend to forget that.
-
I think Vigil is fine, especially after the stacking nerf.
-
Not sure why this isn't a thing yet.
-
People can preemptively run when you kick a generator to get distance. Nowhere to Hide is relatively common too so it's not out of the question to assume the killer might have it. Trail of Torment literally lights up the gen yellow when you kick it too.
Not to say that they're 100% not cheating, but the things you are describing are possible with enough gamesense.

Doesn't really matter when the space they trimmed was completely dead anyway, and that adding god setups to maps like this is far more significant.

Splitting hairs here, but aside from a few boards, 4chan is pretty tame. You have /r9k/ existing alongside /lgbt/ for instance. Or my fav /wg/. 😍
Even if it's "just a few boards", that site is a hellhole. Wouldn't exactly call it tame. That website alone is responsible for spawning a bunch of extremist movements.
The /lgbt/ board existing doesn't mean the website is remotely tolerant either, that board is full of self-hating brainrot. Not the kind of place you want to be.

Practically zero chance.

Probably a long time. I'd say a week or two.

I really like it thematically. They really nailed that aspect.
Once it's less overtuned I'll be a lot more happy with the killer.

Thank you both for your time in answering my questions.
I just wanted to clarify why I thought Unbreakable was basekit now.
As you can see it says "When full self-recovery is available, tap the Interact Button to pick yourself up"
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/HIMP6OTWERX0/1000033159.jpg
I guess my question is if that's not Unbreakable, what do the devs mean pick yourself up?
The notes don't mention needing a perk.
I have noticed the bar fills itself up, but I haven't been slugged long enough for it to fill up.
"When full self-recovery is available" means if you currently have the ability to pick yourself up. You won't be able to get to full self-recovery normally, but if you have a perk like Unbreakable, the bar will fill all the way up and then you can tap a button to get up.
-
- This just refers to the recovery action, so you'll gain progress without having to hold a button. This doesn't give you the ability to get up on your own unless you have a perk.
- As long as you're in the range of the performance for the last few seconds then I think it applies for the full 90 seconds. They can leave after the performance is done and still get the buff. The buff in question being the increased skill check odds.
- This is the same for 32m TR killers. However, killers with smaller TRs will get less of an effect from monitor, and killers with larger TRs will get more of an effect since it's percentage based, not static. (-10m for 40m, -8m for 32m, -6 for 24m)
- These are just a visual change that makes it easier to see the pistons move from a distance.
Hope this clears things up!
-
They really overdid it, I think.
M1 killer feels awful right now.

i Think that is not right. You just run the risk of not knowing. I mean I will deal with it but it isnt’t right not knowing.
The knife has this weird glow/frost effect on it when he's in Evil Incarnate. If you see that, you know he's in Tier 3.
It's subtle but that's a tell. I do think that he should give Exposed anyway, then the icon could remain and there wouldn't be any need for the jarring visual effect that doesn't fit.

Fair enough. It feels like people won't accept non endurance OTR atp but hopefully im wrong.
I do quite like the new OTR personallyI'm a big fan of OTR's new effect, but this really isn't the time to remove Endurance for it.
Until there's some more base anti-tunnel measures it should stay how it was.
-
I think they said removing it was an intentional change.
I really wouldn't hold your breath about any custom music either, even if the SAW license holders are willing to work at length with BHVR (she got a tome after all), I think the film's soundtrack is owned by someone else.
