Wouldn't Stake Out just make those good skill checks from Corrective Action into greats when you have tokens?
Yes, but that's not really any different from regular Stake Out and Hyperfocus.
-
It doesn't synergise as well. Double Corrective + Hyperfocus was basically an endless 6 stacks, but now it'll only last as long as you have stacks of Stake Out.

Why not? any nerfs tor her is well deserved
It doesn't really do anything in terms of making her better to go against, it just makes her feel worse for zero reason.

Honestly, who cares about this garbage killer anymore, she's gonna get a full rework (hopefully a good one this time) in 2025 and these changes have been made with the sole purpose of discouraging people from playing her cause survs have been dealing with this abortion for 1.5 years now.
I care about her!!!!!
I just wanna play my silly little irredeemably evil woman and her silly little drones.

Can anyone explain me what the fast vault mechanic being removed means? I didn't know skullie interacted with fast vaults
No idea. I'd love if a dev could clarify.

Oh I know, it was an exaggeration. I was just asking if a survivor I'm not interacting with in any way could essentially take the activation away from the survivor that I was interacting with.
Oh, my bad! Yeah another nearby survivor can 100% put it on cooldown.
Although that does make it function like a discount Spies as well as inflicting exhaustion, so it's not all bad.
-
It's got a 36m range, so survivors scaring Crows across the map won't be affected by it, and won't trigger the cooldown.
-
I'm gonna hate all of the Nurse + Blight and Nurse + Spirit and Spirit + Blight lobbies that I will inevitably get for 90% of the games.
-
They really had to go for adding all of the S tiers before anyone else, huh.

He's leaning into needing a nerf imo, particularly changing to/from bat form seems way too fast right now. He definitely doesn't suck.
Consistent 4ks are still a pretty good result though. His Hellfire is extremely spammable, great at zoning and just dunks on loops entirely.
His Bat Form is a Spirit Lite that goes over pallets and windows with like a 2.5s Cooldown (compared to Spirit's up to 15s cooldown). He can also M1 extremely fast out of it. If you throw on Dissolution he can shut down every dropped pallet with zero effort.
He's extremely uninteractive in basically every way. Both Hellfire and the Bat need nerfs and the Wolf needs buffs because it's just not worth using as-is.
-
Yeah there's a lot I'm worried about too.
I hope they patch the broken synergies with Corrective Action without making the perk bad again. I wanna see if they're going to improve Skully from the PTB (because she was TERRIBLE). I hope they keep Mori offerings the way they are, while keeping the Finisher Mori in as well. I hope Unknown's changes are improved because they're a flat nerf atm. I want Billy's speed nerfs to be reconsidered and I want the DMS rework to be undone entirely because honest to god that perk was so busted on the PTB it wasn't even funny.
I really want to see this dev update soon…
-
I mean there are perks that perform an effect regardless of input from either side, and I guess that'd be considered "uncounterable". It's not necessarily a cause for concern.
I think Lightborn is fine considering the effect is quite specific.
-
I think Company Banner is perfectly fine. Knight's Contract is more useful than it was for sure, but I agree with the idea of buffing the detection radius for Guards summoned to do an Order. It's only really going to be Carnifex used in this way, and he's the weakest chaser after all.
-
I mean it does objectively help with camping. I've had scenarios where the extra 10 seconds meant they didn't go to the next stage.

How is 4% "almost nothing" but the world was ending and loops were "unplayable" when mft gave a mere 3% (1% less than "almost nothing")?
Because MFT was available instantly and indefinitely as long as you were injured and Wesker's Infection takes like 2 minutes to kick in.
Anyway the on-hook reduction nerf was absolutely needed but the Hindered % nerf makes Infection far less threatening, which it should be for how easy it is to get rid of now.
-
It doesn't matter if they know where it is if you play around the totem's location. It allows you to proxycamp or set up an ironclad 3 gen that's very difficult to deal with.

You’re wrong. I’m not upset at all actually. I don’t mind her lullaby and I find it quite unique. It’s the literal sound from the movies. How could I not love it!?
Thank you for the assumption though - I don’t agree with how it’s a directional lullaby…I also don’t like how bad her stealth is.What’s not fair is for you to assume how I am feeling and try to torch me for it instead of trying to understand where I am coming from. 🤷🏼♂️
I had already mentioned I don’t care how it’s implemented as long as it doesn’t take away from normal gameplay.I mean if you want to miss my point entirely and interpret my post as a personal attack for whatever reason then go for it I guess?
Your issue should be with how her lullaby is implemented, not the accessibility feature. It's honestly not that hard to hear it if you know what you're looking for. I don't use the VTR at all and it's still easy to hear Onryo coming.
-
Might be linked to this bug? Perhaps it's not counted as a kill at all.
@ReverseVelocity said:
Recovering an artefact from a downed survivor does not award sacrifice points like a regular mori would.

I don't care if its introduced to the game and I am fine with it, as long as its not a mechanic that can be abused. The VTR is already horribly abused and I am not a fan personally.
It's not abused, you're just upset that Onryo has a lullaby.
I don't think it's fair to target your frustrations at an accessibility feature when it's a specific balancing feature of the killer you main that's causing it. It wouldn't be an issue at all if she didn't have a Lullaby as big as her TR.
-
@MechWarrior3 said:
I dont think this is necessary. They're deaf, not blind. You can see when the skillcheck pops up. Its a interesting idea though. I think people would abuse this though, they already abuse the VTR.
You're supposed to get a noise notification BEFORE you see the skill check.
Deaf people are essentially playing with 5 stacks of Huntress Lullaby at all times, and that shouldn't be the case. This is a relatively simple accessibility feature that should've been in the game ages ago.
Also it's already a thing on mobile, because these things are only considered with any sort of urgency when they affect abled people for some reason.
-
Depends on the killer you want to run it on, honestly, but I think Make Your Choice is slightly better since it doesn't rely as much on other perks for synergy.
Hangman's Trick is probably one of the, if not THE worst killer perks in the game right now.
-
@GeneralV said:
Remember when you could Sabotage Trapper's traps? Good times.
I think Sabotage was better back when it took longer to do and it had skill checks, but you could leave hooks 99% and try to finish it when the killer was approaching. Those plays could work sometimes, but they required preparation and time. I liked it.
Saboteur was probably one of my favourite perks back in the day. 99ing hooks and creating temporary hook deadzones was a really nice side objective. It's definitely for the better that you can't sabo traps, though.
Both systems had their positives and negatives, but the increased number of hooks has made Sabotaging a lot less effective as a whole. It's good for if a killer gets greedy for a Scourge Hook or something but that's about it. I don't think the mechanic should be removed as a whole either way.
-
To keep it short and sweet:
Knight's Guards now have a minimum draw distance of 10m before you can place them, so you can't drop them instantly. In addition, if you're too close to a guard (8m) while they're hunting, the duration goes down 3x as quickly.
However, he can now swap between guards freely instead of being on a defined rotation, and the Hunt duration is a lot higher now (up to 1.5x the previous default).
It's also worth noting that the chase times of Jailer and Carnifex were swapped, so Jailer chases the longest, and Carnifex is basically only good for breaking pallets now.
There's also a bunch of other minor buffs I won't list here, the full changelog can be found on the killer's wiki page.
Hope this helps :D

There's a difference between just screaming, and "Scream and reveal their location".
We don't need to nerf Scene Partner or Dramaturgy either.
-
I think this is a problem where the solution creates more of a problem than the actual issue itself.
Like yeah, it might be cool to have it be completely random, but when some addons have anti-synergy or are actively detrimental, then you'd run into some potentially really annoying scenarios.
I think having some element of choice is alright, the mode as-is strikes a very fun balance between randomness and choice.

I thought it always takes 3 weeks from ptb to live release not 2
Yeah, it does, but the dev update for said PTB usually comes like the week before the update.
So we should get the dev update next week and then the actual update releases the week after.
-
@Mandy said:
The Dev Update detailing what is changing between PTB-Live tends to come out the week before the update, so you can rest assured that it won't be this week.
Omg I thought it'd been two weeks since the PTB already. My bad 😭

He's probably the most annoying killer they've dropped since Skull Merchant in my opinion. (Not including Skull Merchant obviously)

Then why is there a disconnect button?
For circumstances where it would be acceptable to DC, such as a genuine emergency. That's also why the initial DC penalties are lenient.
You're not, however, supposed to use that to DC because the match isn't going your way.
-
I mean my favourite killer of all time was surveillance and stealth orientated over pure chase power. RIP Old Freddy o7

I think some people are throwing a hissy fit over 10 extra seconds on the sacrifice timer. At least that's part of it.

It's a bug, they're aware of it.

Yeah, it's great for that, especially in Endgame.

Can I get your games? I get at least 2 Lithes per trial at this point and it's a little annoying LMAO
-
That's a neat idea actually.
I personally want to see Better Than New give 50% Action Speed Bonus though, it'd be like a portable temporary Leader you could give that's twice as effective.
The altruistic medkit healing I like, though, it's an underused mechanic overall.
-
Spirit fast, Spirit lunge far.
Anyway Bat Form switching is kind of busted at the moment. There's practically nothing you can do against it, especially with Dissolution and Traveler's Hat thrown into the mix.
-
Give Object of Obsession a try. It has that aspect too.
-
Yes it does, any stun kills him.

And if EAC had detected it as a threat, I would have been banned by that day, right ? Not after 2 months let's say.
Yeah, you're fine.
-
Extremely doubtful. I don't think EAC actually detects/bans for macro usage either way. People used macros for flashlight clicking back in the day and I haven't personally heard of any bans resulting from that.
Anyway, literally the only thing the game saw from a technical perspective was you pressing PgDown. I wouldn't worry about it whatsoever.

Reports are confirmed by former employees btw that the Seattle office has been shut down "following a diligent risk assessment" (lol). Comes despite playtest results being "almost entirely positive", with one former staff member claiming that the feedback gave it 92/100 in terms of fun and replayability.
Absolutely disgusting.
Years of hard work wasted and livelihoods compromised for no discernable reason. I love capitalism!!!!! /s

Yeah no, 24 second heals were a huge slog. We don't need any changes to base healing speed at all.
