Quickdraw isn't about shooting survivors off totems, it's been about grabbing survivors off totems (aka, an interrupt action). I got the achievement, so I know what it requires.

Jeffslinger would also have a two-step instadown in this case. Step one, fire gun. Step two, M1.
But if you manually break the chain now then they stay healthy. There is no instadown capability with him.

I'm not either, I like it just the way it is. But a lot of people aren't and really want a second objective, so this was drawn up as a sort of compromise, not an entirely new objective, your still opening the gate but with extra steps. Thanks to @Terra92, @Raven014 and @HermanTheDoctor for the feedback!
The one thing Id like to add is that the extra lights would have to be highlighted to the killer so they could defend them... and Im not sure how that'd be balanced around closing the hatch.

The Splinter Offerings were also secret, however, the Devs decided to remove them on Patch 3.6.0. However, I don't think this is that huge of a problem, there are three Mori Offerings, each one having its own functionality. When Survivors see a secret offering, it could be a Shroud, or one of the 3 Mori Offerings, not necessarily an ebony mori.
There aren't that many offerings that could be secret, because most of them just award you with extra Bloodpoints. Maybe the Hook Distance and Realm Selection offerings could be secret? Idk. It would be definitely interesting to have some new secret offerings.
But, ebonies are more common on the bloodweb thanks to how its RNG works. You get more red and purple items the more times you prestige and since Ebonies are red, theyre more common. Especially with Huntress, Billy, Bubba, and Pig just because they have less red addons to get.
Since each killer has a few green addons to choose from, green moris are less common anyway. And since its worse for survivors to be apart, a secret offering is most likely going to be an ebony mori.

This would encourage people to stay home. Might as well add a x2 xp event as well, because it's hard enough to get enough shards as is.

Right, some players will only focus on one side, rather than the other as well.
Yeah, I like killer more so I did the killer stuff first. Not even sure if I'll get the survivor.

That would be cool.

Very good job with this! You get his demeanor and look down perfectly. : )

Well the loop is still fairly new, so not many players know how to utilize it to it's fullest potential yet.
With that being said, it really depends on who you're facing to be honest. If the Survivor isn't a "god" for example, than breaking the walls isn't really needed. If they're in-face a "pro" than it's in your best interest to break them. That's what the breakable wall option really boils down to, but I personally would prefer this choice to not be necessary for more skilled Survivors.
But the mechanic is still new and being monitored, so of course it's not yet refined for every map or scenario yet.
That's true I suppose...
Until I find a better way I'm just staying away from the building.

My bad, I didn't read your comment too carefully.
You said the Deathslingers achievements, in my mind I thought you meant EVERY achievement. And yes, the Old West Oasis achievement is still bugged, I was originally confused by your comment because I thought you said you got every achievement, but in reality you didn't, just the Deathslingers achievements.
So never-mind, the Old West Oasis achievement is still not unlocked by anyone because it's still bugged. Unless... someone got it randomly through some weird obscure bug, which could've happened idk.
No worries, I assumed everyone would think killer only, not all of them. : P
-
I mean, the game punishes scratched mirror myers or Tombstone myers with less pips/depips. I never thought a meme build would be banned though.

I agree with the saloon part, breaking walls in that building isn't really needed, the only issue that loop brings is facing BL users and going around it in-general.
Otherwise, you have plenty of spots to get to the gen, you even have a doorway you can walk straight to without issue. To be honest, if you're the Trapper and have Bear-Traps in that building than it's fairly easy to trap someone upstairs.
The rest of what you said is pretty accurate.
Well, I'm just going off my general experience with it so far... mostly as the Deathslinger (90% of my games ever since I got him with shards has been as him). That building is a nightmare to go through, since there are at least 2 walls that must be broken to shorten those from infinites to manageable. The one next to the window at the back (opposite the street), and the window on the side facing the wall.
Those two must be broken if you want to work with that building. Otherwise it's way too safe. But thats from my experience on Xbox. Perhaps PC is better and I don't realize it.

Even the bugged one? How?
Isn't that a survivor achievement? The one that's bugged?
I am referring to the Old West Oasis, because isn't that the one that was bugged?
I got Bound and Downed, Quick Draw, and Adept Deathslinger. The three killer achievements. I dont have the survivor ones yet.
-
It certainly places emphasis on the endgame. I'd be ok with it.
-
I only used it as a counter to Old Ruin because of console lag. Now though, it's still a good perk. I don't think it needs a change, even if it is weaker to stealth killers.
It rewards stealth play instead of braindead looping, which I can always get behind.
-
Maybe they're doing it as a dig to Stephen King for not letting them use Pennywise.
-
1st point: Ditch the saloon gen. That has so many breakable walls that need to be broken it's pointless to try.
2nd: look for the closest cluster of gens. Guard that general area.
3rd: Break the wall on the shack when you can, as well as break some in the other buildings when you can. Sometimes you don't need to, sometimes you do. It's a play by play thing.
Plague, Deathslinger, and Huntress are all good on this map just because of how open it is. Plague's spit can reach the upper level of the saloon, and Huntress can do very well in the open section of the map.
-
I would love for a gothic city style in a similar vein to Bloodborne.
Or a castle. That would be cool. A german castle with a knight/plague doctor as a killer.

Personally really into ocean things so a cruise ship could be amazing for a map. I think it will add to DbD's aesthetic. Especially if it has a matching killer (A captain or a crew member)
I would love a beach themed map. You can have sand dunes, beach chairs and beach umbrella's as LoS blockers and wood debris as loops or even a beach hut for the shack.
I created a pirate killer once... but the core mechanic was used for the Deathslinger so... back to the drawing board. : P

I miss her, just not her broken combo. I would love to go against them again.

That doesn't mean that killers deserve the short end of the stick though.
I know. I'm just explaining why people won't really care.
-
Head On.
I can save people with it. I can use it to extend loops skillfully, and it's the only skillful exhaustion perk I know of.

@XRuecian said:
They specifically make more survivor challenges (and make them take more games to complete) on purpose, because this keeps the survivor-killer ratio of queued players more balanced. If they made less survivor challenges, and made them too easy to complete, too many people would be queueing for killer and not enough for survivor, and the queue times/matchmaking would have problems.
My problem with the archives is that around a third of them require you to have a specific killer or survivor unlocked to complete, which can feel like a real cockblock. I have a lot harder time earning rift shards just because i haven't payed to unlock all of the survivors/killers quickly.
That being said, they did ask a whole lot of questions in their last survey to get feedback on what people thought about how tomes work at the moment, so hopefully they will actually use that feedback to improve the next tome/rift.
The only problem with your argument is that I don't think most people want to play killer.
-
I've got all the deathslinger achievements already, but I don't think I'll prestige just yet. It's cool to see it though!
-
I wish that all maps were the same brightness for killers only. For survivors it really doesn't matter, but for killers it does.
-
I'm surprised you had STBFL, but you do you. Great job with that!
-
A lot of survivors act like they received a Doctor's lobotomy/remothering, and so they don't really care about the clocks or running to them. They're asleep, so what? there is no reason to wake up (sure, swing chains exist, but...). Sure they can be effected by traps, but if they buy enough time, 2/3 gens can get done. If gens actually took time, then they would feel the need to wake up more often.
He's still weaker to meta perks (with the exception of BT), which really doesn't help him in the long run for enjoyment.
That and his teleport takes ages to come back.
-
Not every killer should be able to be looped by a braindead survivor. Huntress and Nurse already had to be looped differently, Legion has to be respected as different as well (when healthy).
He has nothing. No instadown, his base speed is 110, his ranged ability can only injure, so his gun is the second nonlethal killer power in the game, as you cannot down with his power alone.
Just learn and adapt. If you did, then Spirit and Nurse wouldn't've been changed, and made worse.
-
I disagree about the TR changes.
I think if you get shot from the healthy state, that you are automatically put in the injured state. The fact that getting shot doesn't do that is just stupid.
He is terrible with pallets, so making him drag survivors across them would be a good change.
He already has a stun as long as legion's (without addons), which is the longest self stun in the game for killers...
He reloads after every shot.
Survivors can maneuver way too much while on the chain.
He needs some buffs, not some nerfs, imo.
-
The argument for: They're in the game.
The argument against: The hatch can spawn before 5 gens are done, shortening the game for you, and giving the survivor who uses it an easy way out. It can also be a big letdown when you go against them.
If they required an animation or interruptible action, then I would understand them being in the game, but they are literally instant.
-
They're not incompetent. They just are very biased in what they want to change.
They are more about getting as much money as possible. Whether they are pressured by the company or they actively want to... that's up for debate.
-

It resembles a ranged Killer for the most part, but more-so towards the Deathslinger.
Why? Because every missed shot from the Deathslinger requires you to reload afterwards, the same goes for this, every missed use of the power goes into a "passive state", except this one seems a bit more harsh than a reload gun reloading.
That is very true, just without a projectile.
-
No, the fact they were able to get the shot should get them the injure. Breaking free should be DW, but breaking it early should be just an injure.
The red expose addon (iri coin) should have the minimum range reduced because it's basically worthless on console.
-
I like the idea of bringing him in, he could easily fit within the realm and undead are not a new phenomena here, the only thing I'd be reserved about is that people would be extra toxic about this. A power that stuns the killer if they miss is a bit too weak. Nurse doesn't suffer from that drawback just because her power can teleport through walls. His... doesn't exactly do that.
-
I agree with many except Head On, and Furtive Chase. The ability to change obsessions is an amazing thing, and Furtive with Make Your Choice shouldn't be underestimated. Add nemesis and man can you have fun with it.
Head on is my favorite perk, so I may be biased, but it can be very useful at certain loops. A lot of killers don't expect it on solo survivors, so when you help out a fellow survivor with that, they'll be much more cautious about everything they do. If they don't see you, they'll be wary of lockers for the rest of the match. It's funny to me.
-
I'd rather insidious be the opposite of what it is: No terror radius/ Undetectable when outside the 40 m (BBQ range). That would encourage survivors to get their friends off the hook as quick as possible.
I don't like the Fire Up change, just because it pressures the killer even more than usual.
-
I like playing Legion and Deathslinger. They are incredibly weak and don't deserve to be.
-
The ones in the saloon are either next to windows too, making it mandatory to break them if you want to even try to keep that gen. It's probably the safest in the game.

Wraith is tortured heavily. He was an auto mechanic before he got taken, he doesn't look like that normally. Billy got his vengeance but he just enjoys murdering so much. Who would make a meat tree like he did? He's a psychopath with zero empathy.
I'll see your counter and I implore you to analyze the pupils of ingame Doc to ingame Slinger and ingame Spirit.

As you can see, the Doc has his pupils showing while both Caleb and Rin have clouded eyes. As previously stated, the personalities of these two characters are incredibly different than Doc's and coincidentally, Cal and Rin have the exact same misty eyes. BHVR does design well and that's like the only asset they have that is constantly solid. I guarantee you, the choice of eyes for two characters that are so clouded by their hate and vengeance was no mistake.
One last question then: Why doesn't Oni have white eyes? His whole story is about vengeance against those that would slight him (whether they meant to or not...)

I said this in a previous thread with a similar detail:
"And thus the plot thickens...
Why do you think the Spirit is so angry when she hunts survivors and slices them repeatedly during her mori? The Entity promised her revenge on her dad... Oh wait... Yeah, if you're thinking she's seeing her dad in the survivors; bingo, we have a winner.
Also, super fun fact that all but confirms this theory, both the Spirit and the Deathslinger have a very distinct white glow to their eyes, unlike any other killer (yes Wraith and Billy have it too but Wraith was heavily tortured and Billy kills everything and anything, most likely just aesthetic). They are seeing LIES...
Final note that again, confirms this theory: the Spirit and Deathslinger have no signs of torture on them, whereas the Trapper and Hag are super messed up. Difference between these two parties? The eyes... One group was beat down to serve the Entity, the other is being manipulated by an illusion... Plus, the Pig and Legion both have normal eyes and no signs of abuse. They want to be here and they didn't have to be convinced."
Wraith wasn't tortured and billy did get vengeance...
I counter you with Doc. Doc has white eyes but has no reason for vengeance. : P

Ruin isn't good compared to it's past self and doubling regression is basically nothing. Sure, if you can drive survivors from the gen, you'll be able to make use of it, but at higher ranks, everyone not being chased/pressured will be on a gen, making the perk semi-worthless.
-
It was horrendous so it was reverted. Now they aren't working on them as much as they are working on other things. Made the game unplayable and was a massive buff to Huntress.
That's all anyone really knows.

Well, as a killer main, that sounds broken. Damaging every gen close to you EVERY single down with m1. Idk, thats not balanced
It'd only happen if you kept downing people. And it only does the explosion regression, which really isn't much compared to perks like Pop. Heck, Ruin is better than Surge now. It's the most underwhelming gen affecting perk. I've tried using it and it's very limited. Besides, it doesn't damage an already damaged gen anyway.
I really don't see an issue with removing the cooldown for Surge.

Cant seem to edit my original statement. but side note eleven is also telekinetic and strong enough to rip open portals to another dimension and can kill Demogorgon like creatures (this is to give people who haven't watched Stranger Things an idea of her level of power).
@Raven014 Survivors aren't helpless though. yes for the most part they cant fight back but you can look at survivors like Bill, Ash, Laurie, and yes even Nancy and Steve who are use to fighting supernatural monsters be it zombies, demons, evil incarnate, or the Demogorgon and mindflayer. lore wise these people are fighters and decent to damn good at it. Laurie even having her own perk to stab the killer.
I do think @PigMainClaudette has a point with their personalities being more fitting for the entity to take but even then I would argue that the entity could really torture Eleven because her greatest weakness is trust and hope. her story lends itself to a lack of trust of anyone and shaky amount of hope for a better life because of a fear of people coming to take her away again.
But there is no way to defeat them. They are used to having the hope of beating them, which is why the entity chose them.

@not_Queen said:
The killer running Infectious Fright already has to fill conditions to activate the perk's effects. The idea of having the terror radius as one of the condition (and not a flat 32m) is to allow for perk synergy. As for the cooldown, adding something like this would greatly diminish the strength of the perk and we think it is unnecessary in it's current form.
Survivors choosing to remain in the killer terror radius while a teammate is getting chased nearby are taking a risk. Infectious Fright is a perk that makes this risk greater if the chase comes to an end. We think it is doing what it has been designed for.
TLDR
At the moment, we have no plans to change Infectious Fright.
Just out of curiosity, because Surge does so little, why does that have a cooldown?

@Cheers said:
The one thing I want for decisive, is to make it that once you touch a gen, the perk deactivates. You're not tunneling if you find a random survivor on a gen that's injured.
On a gen, full health, or in a locker. That way it can't be abused and if you made a stupid decision you get punished for it.
