Kindred, I run it on all my survivors.
BBQ, I run it on all my killers.
-
As others have stated, I think the only thing Distortion needs is a way to replenish tokens. I think making it so that if you cleanse a totem it replenishes a token (up to a max of 3 tokens so it can’t go further) would be a good buff towards it. It makes survivors cleanse totems more and it’s in limited supply (up to 5 replenishes but you also have to keep in mind other people may need totems for Inner Strength or their own Distortion).
-
It’s really going to be good when paired with the new Trail of Torment and Pop.
-
Getting hit with Sloppy Butcher makes me drop frames as survivor.
-
I had thought of a change a while back where Technician could make it so that if you’re repairing a gen with a toolbox and you hit a Great skill check, the toolbox’s charges won’t diminish for 2/3/4 seconds.
-
I would love Jake up a tier. He does have survival experience after all.
-
Kindred and We’ll Make It
Whispers and Brutal Strength
-
I tried running Technician the day of the change and haven’t noticed a difference in volume. It seemed to be bugged but I don’t know if it’s been changed since then.
-
Yeah I tried testing it out a few days ago and noticed it doesn’t quiet gen repairs anymore. Now the only use of the perk is just the 50% notification silencer on a failed skill check :/
-
There’s ways around it but yeah this should be a priority fix. It’s very annoying to deal with. (It got me so frustrated one time to the point that I just said ######### it and slugged someone letting them bleed out while I went to find someone else.)
-
I feel like that’s fine if the Huntress played scummy xD but if she was legitimately a good Huntress that didn’t play sweaty it’s a nice gesture.
-
Definitely optimization.
-
Sure, let’s blame the console players. PC players never use Urban Evasion and never camp/tunnel.
>_>

Kindred for survivors
BBQ for killers
Each and every one of my survivors/killers run these perks.
-
This perk just breeds toxicity. Despite that I want to see it reworked into something healthier for the game rather than outright deleted.
-
If you wanna play full on Skill Check Doc, a very fun build to try out is:
- Unnerving Presence (to make survivors within your terror radius have their skill check success zone decrease by up to 60%, also make them have skill checks 10% more as long as they remain in your TR)
- Distressing (to make your terror radius 26% larger which helps Unnerving Presence gain more value, also has the neat effect of increasing your Deviousness Bloodpoint gain by 100%
- Hex: Huntress Lullaby (as you start hooking people, the time notification survivors get when repairing a generator, Snapping out of it, healing, etc and if they fail a skill check the regression of a gen goes down by 6%.
- Overcharge (madness and lullaby effect Overcharge skill check)
All while doing your best to keep everyone in madness tier 2/3.
This really tests a survivor’s ability to hit a skill check with zones being smaller, the screen shaking and skill check being off-centered with madness, and no noise notification from Lullaby (as long as you’re able to protect the hex totem). It’s a fun build to play but not everyone loves to go against it.
Other good choices are:
- BBQ & Chili (for bloodpoints and knowing what to do after hooking someone)
- Dark Devotion (fun to use with Doctor as well. Hit your obsession with a basic attack to transfer your terror radius to them and let them run away. Use your static blast while it’s still active and the blast will come from the survivor that you hit and possibly reveal everyone’s location that’s near them)
- Caulrophobia (could work well replacing Overcharge in the skill check build as it pairs well with Distressing and make everyone in your TR heal significantly slower)

Immediately creates a Survivor Meta. (especially if Meg just makes 115% Killers into 111% and 110% into 106%)
So no.
The numbers could be shifted for the sake of balance. Instead of going up by 1%, maybe starting out at 0.5% and each prestige level increases it by 0.5 for a max of 2% extra speed? Basically wanted to give each survivor something unique to them without making any too overpowered.
-
I had a rework idea in an earlier thread.
• Bottles no longer slow down survivors
• Gas clouds are 1.5x larger and more dense, making it harder for survivors to see through the gas.
• Survivors in gas clouds are afflicted with the Oblivious and Blindness status effect.
• Clown can see through the gas clouds and moves slightly faster while traversing in gas clouds. New add-ons are added that can raise his speed in gas clouds even more.
• Direct bottle throws on generators cause the generator to regress, although it doesn’t apply Pop unless you kick it.
• Default bottle count goes up to 5 from 4.
-
I would recommend Freddy since you can’t get him any other way. Plague you can still get for free if you rack up enough Iridescent Shards.
If you’re going more for perks then Plague. All of her teachables are really good and two of them are considered meta, where none of Freddy’s is considered meta.
-
If you’re only trying to get the platinum the tips above will help you out with it.
If you’re trying to get every trophy, I recommend doing this with Myers with the Judith Tombstone add-on so you can knock off two trophies in one (Evil Incarnate and Blood on your Face)
If you’re going the Myers route, I recommend bringing solely chase perks since that’s all you’re really gonna need since you’ll be stalking survivors until you reach Tier 3 and then you have to get close to them. Perks like Enduring, Brutal Strength, Play With Your Food, etc will all help you get closer to the survivors you chase.
-
Yeah I have to strongly disagree. There is no balance in having to take a potshot in the dark on whether or not you’re gonna randomly get downed because the Spirit is able to hear you and show up out of nowhere without you being able to react.
Billy is still the closest to being the most balanced. Strong, yet counterable. A fun power to use and go up against, chases that are purely skill based from both roles.
-
The only requirement is that you have to heal someone for the equivalent of one health state (healing from dying to injured or from injured to healthy from 0 to 100). It doesn’t work if you’re healing someone and they already had a bit of health already healed.
Then the next time you get unhooked, you’re put in the Broken status effect and after 30 seconds you automatically become healthy.

Trapper: Trappersack is a must to be basekit
Skillcheck traps sound good but then if trapper has honing stone a survivor just worked to go down
I'd settle for just the traps not spawning on the corners of the map
Wraith: if windstorm becomes basekit and you have the purple all seeing there would be too much pressure on survivors at all times
Lightburned shouldn't be a thing at all
Hah: as far as I'm aware most people don't even know flashlight burns hag traps but I don't play hag that much
I agree with the less activation range.
Shape: infinite tier 3 would be ridic with these changes. If you have brutal strength onrop of the increased damage speed he'd be ripping through pallets like crazy
Huntress: everyone agrees on this.
Nightmare: I'd say just removing the multiplier from jump chains would be enough
Pig: personally I want a full rework of the boxes and her add-ons. Half of them have downsides that make them unplayable
Close: I agree with of your clown changes
Spirit: doing this would re.oveall mindgaming potential from spirit.
Legion: might be the best legion change I've heard of
Deathslinger: I agree with the change but as a buff to help with the transition survivors can't body block to break the chain
Executioner: agreed with the change but remove the swinging instead of using your power while your rites are being placed effect.
Thanks for the feedback!
For Trapper, yes Honing Stone would have to be reworked for this change.
For Shape, the buff to kicking and stun would have to be minor (like 5-10%) so it wouldn’t be too oppressive if paired with Brutal Strength and Enduring, similarly to how Shape can vault windows faster in Tier III and also pair Bamboozle to make it even faster.
For Spirit, I see what you’re saying but as it stands now she has no counterplay whatsoever, especially if she has Stridor equipped. There can still be mind games because she can phase and make it look like she’s going around a loop to catch a survivor but choose stay still and hit them when they slow vault the pallet. It just makes it more fair for survivors instead of Spirit being able to just stand still and give no information to the survivors. They should at least know if she’s using her power and then get into the mind games.
And for Deathslinger I was thinking a possible buff could be faster projectile speed to compensate but wasn’t 100% sure on it, it might not be a bad buff though.
Again, thanks for the feedback. 🙂

I’m all for this change. I really like this idea and hope it gets implemented. :)
-
I run Brutal Strength/Thana/PGTW/BBQ. Have been seeing some good success with it.
-
It’s the same on PS4.
-
I really like the look of this Minotaur skin and was anticipating it being released, but I wholeheartedly disagree it’s price tag. It looks freaking amazing but nothing about it warrants it being called a Legendary. It should either be a Very Rare, or get updated with something new (new voice, new weapon, new animations, anything!) before I consider buying it.
-
Yup, happening to me too.
Wanted to see the Tome III stories but it just shows the ones for the newest tome.
-
I think with time you’ll get the timing down without having to look at the gauge. I remember Otz counting the each chainsaw sweep and I think it was like on the third or fourth sweep you have to hit the button again.
-
Next time you need to let them crawl to the exit, or let them wiggle off with the left side of your body facing the exit so that when they wiggle off they’re forced to leave.
-
Killers that are good at ending chases quick:
- Hillbilly (one shot potential with his chainsaw, need to learn how to steer with his chainsaw and get good angles, although he suffers a bit from looping)
- Nurse (VERY hard killer to learn and master, but she undoubtedly has the best chasing potential if you do put in the time to learn her)
- Doctor (learning how and when to use your Shock Therapy to make survivors scream and stop them from dropping pallets could let you see results fast. Also beginner-friendly like I said in the previous post)
- Huntress (can end chases very quickly with the use of her hatchets but need to know how to aim and when to throw hatchets. The combo to learn with her is to throw a hatchet near a killer to injure them, then quickly close in with a basic attack to down them
- Cannibal (similarly to Hillbilly, can one shot survivors with the chainsaw, but needs to get really close to them to pull it off. Can also down multiple survivors with one chainsaw sweep. Also he is receiving a rework soon and they’re actually making him stronger so he should be a better killer to use than he currently is)
- Freddy (if the survivors are asleep, you can use traps to slow them down during chases and loops to catch up to them quicker)
- Clown (very strong during chases with his slowdown bottles, but has trouble in almost every other aspect of the match. Still a very fun Killer to play)
- Spirit (great at closing distances between you and the survivor with her power, but you need a good pair of headphones and a keen sense of awareness where the survivor might go because using her power makes you go fast but survivors become invisible)
- Ghostface (potentially strong chases if you can expose survivors by stalking them. He’s in essence a regular M1 killer but his power allows you to down unsuspecting survivors if they don’t notice you)
- Deathslinger (strong projectile than can end chases quick but requires good aim and the ability to predict survivor movements)
- Executioner (ranged attack allows you to hit survivors from a distance and even through walls but requires mindgaming and leading your shots)
I would stay away from:
- Trapper (can be good and can even get you downs quickly, but heavily requires setting up traps in strategic spots to get full value)
- Wraith (chases are a bit slow for the bell boy but he has the ability to hide his terror radius)
- Shape (Myers requires a lot of stalking and letting survivors go to get full value, but when you do power him up all the way he can be a force to be reckoned with, just takes time)
- Legion (great at dealing damage and getting multiple survivors injured, pretty bad when it comes to downing them)
- Plague (requires you to make survivors sick and have them drink from a fountain in order to gain your power. Most survivors don’t cleanse which is a problem of itself, but if you do get those survivors that cleanse you get possibly the strongest power in the game that could end chases quick. It’s just too much of a gamble but she can be fun)
All the other ones that weren’t mentioned can work as well but the best are possibly the ones I mentioned above.
-
What kind of playstyle do you enjoy?
Do you like taking your time setting up traps in the map? Do you like rushing down your enemies? Do you like using projectiles?
Some beginner-friendly killers I can recommend are Doctor who can help you find survivors easier with the use of his power, Wraith who doesn’t have a lot to his power and can hide his terror radius (heartbeat) by cloaking, Nightmare has a lot to his kit which is very easy to use, etc.

My first games I can remember was back when I played DBD on Switch. I was playing handheld and was trying out Huntress because I loved her look aesthetically. Granted I was HORRIBLE at chucking hatchets and playing in handheld did not help whatsoever 😂
I decided on just sticking with Wraith for a good while because I got a grasp of him real fast and was enjoying playing as him, but always wanted to play Huntress more but was kind of put off because I sucked with her.
Nowadays I play on the PS4 and put in a lot of time on Huntress and now I’d say I’m actually really good with her but can be somewhat inconsistent at times. Still trying to improve whenever I can.
I don’t really remember my beginner survivor games that well, but I know David was one of my favorites to play as.
-
I’ve wanted this change for a while. A solid 3% regression for kicking a gen followed by the passive regression afterwards would be a good counter to survivors tapping a gen and canceling the whole 2-3 seconds it took for you to kick the gen.
-
I would say Whispers over Discordance. It’s one of the only perks (if not the only) that you obtain information even when it is not active. Whispers on? You know someone is in the area and you can search for them. Whispers off? You know no one is in the area and you’re wasting your time there.
It’s also super useful in the endgame so you don’t have to constantly go between exit gates.
-
I’ve been playing this game for almost a year and never used an Ebony Mori until recently.
Got into a lobby where two survivors had keys and didn’t feel like dealing with the BS so I just equipped a Mori. Ended up Mori’ing the two key users. Felt pretty good. Still won’t use it regularly but now have a thing where if there’s two or more key users in the lobby I’ll bring a Mori to compensate.
-
For Killers, I recommend Plague or Clown out of the ones you picked. All 3 of Plague’s teachables are very strong perks, especially Corrupt Intervention and Infectious Fright. And Clown has Pop Goes the Weasel which is a very strong meta perk for gen slowdown.
If you want to pick a strong killer in general, Spirit is the strongest out of the ones you picked. She’s up there as one of the best killers along with Nurse.
As for the survivors, I personally would pick Jane Romero out of the ones you chose. She’s one of my favorite survivors but she also has Head On which is a very fun Exhaustion perk to play with especially when combined with Quick and Quiet.
Yui doesn’t really have any great perks other than Breakout but that’s if you play very altruistic and stay near the Killer when he’s carrying another survivor. Jeff’s perks also aren’t that good, although I personally like Aftercare as it shows you the aura of every survivor you’re teamed with when you heal or unhook them (or they heal/unhook you), but you have to work hard on not getting hooked by the killer to keep that aura reading.
-
They just need to make the red lights as checkpoints. If someone lets go at 99% the progress should go back to when the third red light switched on which is 75%.
-
Kindred 1000%
I run it on all of my survivors regardless of build.
-
Object of Obsession and NOED
-
This could be good. Honestly I’m down for any change because this UR add-on makes him even worse than his base kit.
-
I do like Joey as well, he’s my next favorite Legion member to play as after Frank. His default outfit is also currently on sale in the store so hoping to see more people play as Joey since he is one of the more rare Legion members to see the killer play as.
-
Unbreakable is fine the way it is.
As the above person said, use No Mither or Soul Guard (and hope the killer has a hex totem that provides curse) if you want to be able to heal yourself from dying multiple times.
-
Clown is a fun killer to play, granted I felt that way even before the buff. He’s very strong in loops with his bottles. He just has no map pressure but I think that’s fine with his strength during chases.
-
Current live version: Billy
After PTB hits: Probably Demogorgon?
-
I voted for Friday the 13th.
-
I run:
Corrupt (early game slowdown)
Nurse’s (use his Shroud to sneak up on unsuspecting survivors who choose to heal)
Sloppy (slowdown on healing and greater chance to find people with Nurse’s)
BBQ (bloodpoints but also knowing where to go right after I hook someone)
And a power recovery add-on so I’m able to go into Shroud as often as I can. I usually do really well with this build, 4King most games in red ranks.
-
That sounds pretty solid actually.
-
Long distance hatchets. Nothing comes close to it imo.
