  • I mained Doc before the rework, and I've gotten way more complaints about him back then. New Doctor can be annoying but you can also run Calm Spirit, or like everyone else says, get in a locker. He also is very add on dependent, if you go to a loop you KNOW he's going to shock you. Your counter, just drop pallets early or assume he doesnt respect pallets.

My typical build is shape with M&A so my terror radius is fairly small for the sake of starting chases with minimal distance. I still think there's severe issues with people just over-using this perk though. I understand its usefulness for solo survivors, but I'm watching SWF teams just completely block my ability to counter them by using that perk to excess. It's yet another part of the game where it works well for solos but SWF can completely flip it on its head and break it.

Oof M&A with an OoO will kill you. You could try to make someone else the obsession so the OoO has to be closer to see you.

Just keep trying different tactics and maybe swap your set up around, Object of Obsession is probably the last thing Devs are worried about rn.

  • I mean, there are a few limits actually. They can't see you if they're in your terror radius,so you could try and run distressing to increase it. If they are the obsession then the range is increased, if they aren't then its a decreased range. As T1 Shape (or any killer that can be undetectable) the OoO can't see your aura but the perk will light up if they're looking in your vicinity, so use that to mind game.

The OoO knows they're going to be tunneled as soon as they put the perk on and most know how to loop, so shut the loops down early and stay close to them, they cant see you if you're too close.

  • Infinite hatchets, ooooooooooof. That would suck with her exhaustion add on

  • Basement leatherface. Sure you might get hate for it, but hey a challenge is a challenge.

I don't know anybody that would prefer wasting 70+ seconds of objective time over allowing the killer to access a perk they may or may not have. To put it in perspective, for Ruin it's 14+ seconds to remove something with certainty that your efforts have an impact. Of course cleansing NOED in end game is a perfectly good play, but cleansing every dull totem in sight is inefficient and an unnecessary gamble.

I get what you're saying, the amount of time to cleanse every totem is damn near as long as doing a generator. Investing that much time can be dangerous, but like I said as of right now it is the only counter to NOED. Breaking totems is the counter to every Hex perk, whether it be Ruin, DH, HL, anything. The only difference is NOED is an endgame Hex that needs to be forsought early-mid game.

It's a heavy gamble, yeah but not inefficient because its not like you were doing nothing the entire match. Say, you decided "He's not going to have NOED" and did zero totems, do you still have that right to be angry because you decided to not do a secondary objective?

Um...totems aren't the counter to NOED. Not only does it punish you severely if the killer doesn't have NOED, but it uses way more time than just keeping up dull totems that spawn in the open in an undefensible location to cleanse later if need be. I would love to see a totem counter though, just to make NOED more fair against solos.

So you're telling me there is another way to counter a Hex Totem other than taking the 15 seconds to cleanse it? I would love to hear it. It's a risk if the killer doesn't have NOED yes, but you get rewarded for it none the less and the ends justify the means. Just like as killer, you take the risk of a survivor having unbreakable, DS, Adrenaline, etc but if you take that risk it will save your ass at the end would it not?

    easy and healthy change

    • add another surv objective or something
    • expand the time survivor are on hooks so more chasing is more efficient than camping

People already think doing totems AND gens is too much apparently, so another objective would surely upset them.

If survivors are supposed to do gens AND totems every match then why is there still no totem counter in the HUD for solos?

That's a discussion you should post in the idea category. As for why they don't add one is beyond me. I would love to see a change in the HUD.

Even if you're solo you can't sit there and say "I can't do Generators AND Totems, it takes to much time etc." That's a strategy you need to come up with as a Solo player. It's been done countless times, and you still have options at your disposal that help you find and counter totems.

  • Im a killer main and I kind of dont agree with this. While I agree with the idea of a basekit for Solo survivors and SWF as well as killers. Nerfing SWF in that way wouldn't be fair. To be punished for playing with your friends.

If they decide to give basekits, SWF should have a different one than Solo players

That's good, it's usually de-motivating to the newer players if they face someone above their skill-cap. But telling them that might re-assure them that things will get better.

We just need to be patient for that update. When it comes, everything will be more skill-based.

I was in the same boat as them, but it still shows them how surviving will be when they reach those ranks. At least now they can be a little better prepared for it

As Iri head is the only Iridescent addon for her (with only Ebony Moris competing for that spot)... you'll probably get a lot more than you would other addons for other killers. And if they are prestiged, well, then that will be fun for you all. : D

Oh wow, I didn't know that was her only Iridescent. At least it gives me more opportunities to get better at dodging them.

  • I also hate clown, his exhaustion add on hurts my soul v.v

  • Yessir, Im a rank 2 killer getting matched with Yellow ranks. I usually message them all saying they did good against me, and a gg so they dont feel like the game is against them

  • Its allowed but it sucks. BHVR would have no way of knowing if it was intentional or not. They give a 4% chance of escaping hook so people want to take their chances

  • I love when the last survivor fast vaults near the hatch to get my attention. I just stay put and put my traps down over and over again for the points

  • Huntress. I don't know how often "Iridescent Head" spawns in her bloodweb, but jeeze I get hit with it every time.

NOED is not overpowered, its overpowered by the fact that there is no totem counter for solo players. imagine going to a swf team being solo get 1 or 2 totems dont know if there is still others up.

If anything put NOED in Base kit and add the totem counter.

The totem counter for solo players is Detectives Hunch, or even Small game since you wouldnt have to wait for a gen to pop.

Or bring a map. NOED receives to much hate to be basekit

  • I was also in the stream, alot of the games he won he was using leatherface. As for the last game, one 1 died. He COULD have hooked another survivor but he let the nancy escape because he felt he already lost considering 2 already left through the gate. In that game DS saved 1 survivor and it snowballed. He never once said NOED needs to be changed, people were giving him ideas of how it COULD be changed and he heard them out and liked a few. There were a few games where they broke all the totems and still died. Which is what NOED can be used for, its another way to slow the game down. Just like Ruin, it slows the game down, if you dont like it then find the totem. I play killer and survivor, and as killer the times i ran NOED, survivors only cleansed 1 or 2 totems and i still got a 3 or 4k. I never even needed it. NOED can support killers who cant kill effectively, yes BUT it can also be used to slow down the gens being repaired quickly.

If 4 survivors load in with the intention of "He probably has NOED lets all do totems" then no duh they're going to suffer casualties. That is the point of a perk. Survivors are suppose to be able to do Gens AND totems, its literally another objective and you're even rewarded for doing it.

If Survivors can change the tide of a game with DS, Unbreakable, BT, Adrenaline, and so on and so forth. Why cant NOED?

Won't ever be good due to the shortage of killers, unfortunately.

The only way to fix Matchmaking is not to change matchmaking, but make people want to play killer again.

Unfortunately, while I do believe the map reworks will help, killer needs a lot more than that. The fact that I can down survivors and they always have a perk to bail them out while I have to sweat my ass off and one mistake can make me lose the game is so frustrating and stressful that I've just gotten to the point where I just refuse to play killer at all because it's simply not fun.

I know I'm not the only one who feels that way.

I agree with you, all the second chance perks that survivors have is crazy. I’m not saying they need to be nerfed or removed but they need to make it fun to play killer instead of just getting bullied and trash talked each game.

  • Yessir, get comfy. This IS happening alot, and it IS very common. There was a thread filled with other screenshots like this, but like they said until its fixed people have to suffer /:

  • I just started getting into The Trapper, what works for me is

-Save the Best for Last: Helps mid-late game with its increased hit speed.

-Pop goes the Weasel: Slow the game down just a lil bit.

-Thanatophobia: As your traps slap their ankles you can pretty much passively injure survivors, thus slowing it down some more.

-Hex: No One Escapes Death/Hex: Devour Hope: Since trapper is mainly an M1 killer, you need some type of Insta-down material. Running Devour Hope is cake since you can place a trap on your totem.

P.S: If you don't like Hex perks, you can slap on Sloppy Butcher, that with certain Add-ons make healing slow to give power to Thanatophobia or Bamboozle since you can trap pallets or loops you can force them through windows. Check out a youtuber "not Otzdarva" for some tips too!

  • I've been talking about this for awhile with my friends, but I think it should only be in the Custom game mode. Or maybe like, a weekend event. Only large maps, 8 survivors, 2 killers and 8-10 generators with 3 or 4 exit gates.

  • @Cheers said:

I'm also someone who plays killer and survivor (about 50/50) and personally this would ruin it. Does it need a nerf? Yes, but it doesn't need to be nerfed so much that it becomes a cosmetic item.

I get you, but how would it ruin it? You can still kill the survivor, I feel like it actually protects the survivor from getting killed so soon, especially with these 10 minute lobbies. It would also push the killer to get more hooks.

yellow ranks are considered the lower ranks, while red are considered higher in the community.

    Ahh, copy that. Thank you.

  • Kindred should be base for solo survivors only since SWF are already on Comms. SWF should have their own base with BT, but it needs to have a cool down IMO.

Killer base should be Discordance or Spirit Fury (but it stays at 3 pallets)

  • SWF will never be touched, unless it shows some type of connection between survivors on the end screen. The main problem I see, is it’s usually Red Rank SWF who get matched with low rank killers. But that’s a matchmaking issue.

I think that they should add a perk other than small game or a map add-on or something to help find dull totems to make it a bit easier to deal with NOED but it shouldn't be too strong so its still fair for killers

    It’s called Detectives Hunch.

Sorry about the caps lol, I typed this in a word document before hand because I didn’t know how it would look on here.
