It is because he is so strong and mostly played. It's not that his powers are boring, it's that since he is a great killer, he is used so often and that is why people think he's boring to play against, if you played against 5 Freddy's in a row, it can get boring.
Strong Killer=Repeatedly used=Boring games against the same killer.

The game isn't about chases, it's about doing the generators and getting out for survivors, and for killers it's preventing that. If going against the killers who can teleport is frustrating you, why not use it as an opportunity to get better at countering it? It seems like you've gone against it enough to warrant a change for future killers. It's not like the killer doesn't have any draw back after teleporting. Nurse is stunned for a minute and then some if she misses a hit, Freddy has a cooldown and you'll know when he's doing it, Hag has to be in range if she doesn't use an add on, and you can destroy her traps, and Demo has to be at a specific spot to transverse, even then you can literally stop the ability by sealing the portals.
The only difference between these killers and say a Billy or wraith with speed add ons, is the ability to see the killer while they are moving. At the end of the day teleporting or not, the killer can get anywhere fast granted who you are using, along with the perks and add ons.

What do you mean appropriate course of action? I think the decision here is: rush gens or die
Yes, determining the appropriate course of action is exactly that. Get the Generators done, or try and rescue the other survivor. If you feel you and your team can get the unhook without wasting too much time then that was the appropriate choice. If you get the generators done, then its the same thing.

Sounds like he was just trolling, let kids be kids. Whenever I figure out its a Leatherface I always assume he's going to facecamp.

Camping is definitely a legitimate strategy but so WAS infinite looping through windows while being chased. The devs definitely stopped survivors from being able to do that but still allow Killers to play unfairly.
How is are Infinite loops in the same category as camping? An infinite loop is Infinite, it will go on forever, it can't be stopped. Vs "camping" a method of applying pressure to survivors and make the game more dramatic and forcing them to choose the most appropriate course of action, which by the way can be beaten. You're seriously comparing something impossible to beat with something that is relatively easy to overcome.
Also can you please explain how camping is playing unfair?

Lol bro you called it. Waffle is already here, basically on cue.
Lmao, let the show begin.

I thought you were trying to stop the NOED discussions lol. You're opening a can of worms my friend.
I agree with you, but 90% of people on the forums aren't willing to have their minds changed. So it's a rinse and repeat ideology.
-
Unwritten rule for killers is apparently "Let survivors do gens, totems and escape"
Kidding. My "Code of Honor" if you will, is:
If 2 or more DC or Suicide on hook I give the last one hatch or an escape.
If I sense they're new survivors I ease up on the chases and hooks.
If you Spam fast vaults or lockers to get my attention, you're getting hooked with no chance of escape.
If you're toxic, you will get the same toxicity back x10
If you keep hitting me with head on, I will kill you mercilessly
If you DS me then Teabag and run, I will kill you mercilessly.
If you're Tapp or a baby Dweet, I may let you go depending on your gameplay.
-
I typically bring a Ivory mori if I see 2 flashlights because I know where that is headed. I bring an Ebony Mori, if I see 4 flashlights or 4 toolboxes, I typically only kill the toxic ones. Ebony moris are usually just for (like you said) ending the game quickly.
-
I agree. A lot of people don't like this post because they don't like hearing the truth. These terms "tunneling", "Gen rushers", "Camping" are made up terms by the community. These terms make a lot of people scared to play how they want to play in fear that people will call them these names. The killers main objective is to prevent Survivors from escaping and hang them on Hooks scattered throughout every level by any means necessary (obviously excluding any forms of hacking or breaking the game). So you are correct, as a killer your job is to KILL.

There's a reason that only people 18 years and above can vote.
Kids have no right to have their say if they can't give a good reason to their own judgement
Regardless, unless the forums can be separated with experienced survivors and killers on one side and the beginners on the other, what point is there to complain about who posts what. At the end of the day, the forums are there for that reason.

who the heck complains about camping and tunneling in dbd 2020?? You only complain about it when you get downed in 5 seconds buying no time for your teammates to do gens. Simply get better at the game and don’t complain to devs to ruin the game even more to veteran player.
People have the right to voice their opinions. The forums are a place to do that as well as provide suggestions.

Freddy isn’t as easy as people think, especially at Red Ranks. If you’re dying to a new Freddy every time then an evaluation is needed on your end. His snares help slow survivors and if you’re awake you won’t step in them. If you don’t feel like going across the map to a clock, then either fail a skill check, or find a teammate. Freddy got butchered when they nerfed him, he’s in a good place right now. Just because you’re having difficulty facing him doesn’t mean he needs to be changed.
-
It’s random for me. One game I’ll get some red rank survivors, the next will be green ranks, some times it’s even Mixed with red, and green. The worse one was all yellow
-
Because people complain about anything. There are perks to get yourself out of the situation but some survivors still don't like it. Whether the killer slugs you at 5 Gens or 1 Gen, it's pressure. People scream at the killer to not "tunnel" or "camp" and to apply pressure on other survivors, but when the killer does exactly that, they still complain. You can't win for losing.

True, but only 1 survivor can participate in the starting chase usually.
Yes, I don't know how to respond to that lol.

Actually that's mathematically incorrect. Check my earlier comment on this thread.
Are those numbers influenced by perks and items? Or are they base times. If 1 survivor is being face camped for 120 seconds and it takes 160 to finish 5 generators with 3 on each than the 40 second difference IS in the survivors hands. That time is determined on your ability to loop, pallets available, and other tools at your disposal.
I already said that you don't necessarily need to cleanse all 5 totems, but once again it's in the survivors hands to either take that risk and do all 5 or influence the location of where NOED would spawn if the killer had it.

Actually the game is not in the survivors hands. It's the killer who must chase and hook and put survivors on the clock. The only "time" the survivors have is how good they are at holding m1 on gens.
I never said the survivors determine the game. The OP said there isn't enough time to do Gens, Save a hooked teammate and do totems. There is time, you just have to find it. Prioritize, if the killer is camping a hook, there is plenty of time to do generators and totems.
-
@supersonic853 said:
So let me get this straight to counter a facecamping leatherface you have to genrush (which even then a killer can maybe get a 2k already before you get the 5th gen done). And to counter noed you have to do bones. You dont have time to do both against a camper and thats what makes this combo so strong. Now that maps are getting fixed can we finally either do something about bubbas camp potential or noed?
Technically you still have the time. If you're unlucky enough to be his victim then you just have to face it. People play how they want. Use the experience to better prepare yourself in the future.
When my Small game goes off, if I feel I can't take that totem out right then and there I make a note of where it is. You don't need to do every totem you come across, you can basically influence where NOED would spawn by doing 1-2 totems.
-
You do realize you're stating the obvious right? It doesn't matter what gets patched or changed the Devs cannot please everybody. There are killer mains who love the patch and killers who hate it, same with survivors. The game will never be "Balanced" because there will always be people who think it isn't even if you believe it is.
P.S as for toolboxes, they aren't useless. Try using it for sabotaging a hook instead of slapping on a brand new part.
-
So if you're a solo survivor, you don't like the idea of the ability to heal yourself 50% slower than normal? It takes about what 35 seconds to heal with Self care? Vs the 15 or 16 seconds to be healed by another teammate? As killer I would expect you to prefer Self care users since that's 35 seconds NOT spent on Gens even more if you run an anti healing build.
I get what you're saying, that survivors need to be more reliant on their team, and I can agree to some extent. Unfortunately, there are many solo survivors who can't rely on teammates so they need perks that better benefit a solo play style.
As a survivor, yes you can feel a little more safe without any perks because there are 4 of you. A killer who can't apply pressure to any of the 4 survivors who have no perks on needs to better himself. As far as game sound goes, I believe it is the other way around, I can play music and dominate as killer, but as survivor if its too loud in my party chat, then I can't hear anything. It all derives on play style.
A killer without perks VS 4 survivors without perks, I still believe the killer has the advantage if you're well enough.

Me and my friend are not near being god survivor yet we can easily pull out 4 man escape 3 or 4 man escape with non meta perk or no perk at all.
It way harder for a killer to pull out a 3 man or 4 man kill with no perk.
For an average person yes. I can 3k or 4k with The Doctor or Freddy with no perks. Granted I have a little over a thousand hours with them. The point of perks is to assist you in winning the game, to give you a little advantage. No one is asking you to play without perks, if you do and then you lose, you have no one to blame but yourself. The idea that survivors need to be nerfed or changed is ridiculous lets be honest, you're complaining about Self Care.. which in my opinion is not even meta because you're better off using a med kit or finding teammates. The killer perks you mentioned are perfectly fine when used CORRECTLY and on the correct people. The only one I do think needs a change is Dying Light. Everything else can change the game when used coupled with another perk.
Long story short, If you hate survivors using meta perks, then use meta killer perks. Throw on NOED with Blood Warden, do whatever you want.

I play 50/50 killer and survivor but mainly killer and just no. I feel as if this post was made because you went up against a Red Rank SWF and they absolutely clapped you.

Exhaustion always procs when this situation occurs; if I didn't dead hard because the killers screen says so, then my exhaustion should immediately be recovered. This is a massive flaw in the game that needs to be addressed. They either need to add in a delay that looks at both sides, like "if player exhaustion activates within .25 seconds of hit, dead hard trumps killer side".
With the amount of times dead hard fails on survivor, this is an issue that needs to be taken serious by the Devs.
I agree, every time it doesn't work which is more than 80% of the time, I ask myself why run the perk in the first place. I've been told that I'm using it too late, but I know I'm not. I've even used it to get past bear traps and it doesn't register. They really need to take another look at this perk.

I do not have leatherface. What else i can use?
Hmm, ideally you want to use someone with an insta-down. (except billy for obvious reasons.) You could try Ghost Face if you have him or Michael Myers with add ons to increase the amount of stalk or evil gained. If you don't have many DLC characters, you can do a Basement Trapper build. Instead of BBQ you can use any other location perk like Bitter Murmur if you don't have anything.
-
Any reload speed. I like to use Bayshore cigar if i feel im going to have a hard time keeping them on the spear, or the one that adds the mangled effect to whoever i spear successfully.
-
Yup, matchmaking is broken. Rank 1 killers going against Yellow ranks, it's not fun. There are numerous threads already, devs probably won't fix it until more people start to delete the game.
-
I remember a glitch where wraith would go back to being cloaked after being stunned with a flashlight. Omg the horrors.
-
I got good with Deathslinger maybe a week after he released, for them to nerf basically his only ability to shut down loops is tragic. While he is almost unplayable against strong SWF he isn't the worst option. Rip flicks
-
I am also against this, it's a 16 second insta-heal. If you use it right in the killers face then you better be able to loop for at least 16 seconds, other wise just be smart about it.
-
Yes, they can hear it. If you plan on playing Silent Bubbah you're better off using chainsaw speed add ons and just waiting
-
The only thing that should be changed about Mori's is the rarity in the bloodweb. That's all.

I mean, if you were doing as great as you say you were you should have had time to do totems..and no otz did not say that NOED is unfair, he recommended changes but he stated there is counter-play. You can read that thread if you have the time. Just because NOED gets triggered doesn't mean you have to stay and get clapped just so you can get a few more altruism points then complain about it.
If NOED is activated, just leave them on hook or find the totem.

If i'm the killer i'll def check this area. The safe way would be to just push the switch a bit, but make sure there're NO lights on.
Then hide till the killer comes back and when he turns for the other gate again, you can open your gate.
This will work most of the time, except the gates are very close together.
I usually check the area too but it really depends on the map and door location as well as the killer I chose. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Camping the gates? That's why there are two in the first place. Even if the killer is a Billy with the gates close to each other, he can't be in two places at once. Y'all better flip a coin to see who has to be the bait.
-
Camping hook is already "punishable" the killer loses points for being in close proximity to the hooked survivor. The more they do it the more points they will lose.
-
When Im in that situation the perfect (almost) play is to 1 light the door, the killer will typically think you went to the other one, and when they leave it ,finish it. Don't get scared and run, the killer will see your scratch marks and know you're there. Work for me about 5-6/10 times depending on the killer and map.
-
Or you could rebind the key x:
-
Matchmaking is extremely screwed up right now. They are trying to implement a new system.
-
The amount of hooks is fine. If you feel like you're somehow always by a hook, then you can bring boil over, or any perk that obscures the killers ability to see near by hooks. Or even offerings to spread them out more.
-
I would go with The Nightmare, He can be a savage when you learn what perks are good for him. Everyone else, you can wait for their teachables if you want. Clown is cheeks except Pop and maybe Bamboozle if you know what you're doing.
-
It's not the term "Gen rushing" its Gen "Rushers". The term isn't directed at the survivors themselves its pointed at the fact that generators can be done too quickly. A Gen Rusher is someone who disregards unhooking, healing, anything just to get a generator done. They would rather let a teammate die so they can finish the generator. All the terms are fan made, same with tunneling. It's all lingo.
-
Yes, if the exploit results in unfair play. If it's a bug then it should be reported to BHVR.
-
@Nicholas said:
Why do people always assume the negatives? There are times when someone is being tunneled and on death hook, I will gladly try to get The Killer's attention to keep someone else alive. If I have DS active and a friend is in trouble, that's not me being toxic, that's me being altruistic and smart.
I get what you're saying, I just don't get why they do that then message me saying I'm the toxic tunneler when they risk themselves on death hook.. I get that it's being altruistic. I just needed to make sure that I wasn't in the wrong and being a douche
-
Thank you everyone who gave the advice. If it makes a difference, I mainly get faced with this option late game or EGC. So the BT, or DS survivor usually body blocks to save their other friends.
