Hag being a territorial Killer... and 3 Genning is a thing... it makes sense that they had to make changes to her
Huntress is a projectile Killer... finding any angles to get hatchets to hit... and some of the addons are a bit weak
Here we are discussing about Killers that aren't talked about... thinking of how BHVR is going to change them
-
Also the fact that it doesn't do that much regression and that it's deactivated apon one Survivors death and it can be cleansed within 30 or so seconds
If they kept it (old old Ruin) it would cause players to leave the game instead of finding and cleansing it
But anyway... New Ruin is better then before it offers more gamesense training (either by realizing that a sparking Gens means it's regressing... and finding the Totem to cleanse it (or by sacrificing themselves... just saying)
-
At this point there's way to much overlap
Lethal Pursuer
BBQ
Floods Of Rage
LP- see the Survivors Aura at the start of the match
BBQ- sees any Survivor(s) Aura when another Survivor is hooked
FOR- Sees Survivors Aura when a Survivor is unhooked
Gen regression
Hex: Ruin
Pop
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance
Ruin- Regresses Gens that have progress on them but no being worked on
Pop- Hook a Survivor and get 45 Seconds to kick a Gen and have it lose 20% of progress
PR- Hook a Survivor on a special Hook and the Gen that has the most progress loses 15% of progress
-
What can they do with these Killers
I can't think of anything
-
It's alright... I'd rather have it highlight the Gen then the Survivor working on it
-
Alright... can't wait
-
Well... we do need more of these threads
But why stop tracking when you die?
I know that people want to look at individuals but I also think that they should do a team rating
What if your individual play lead to 2-3 Survivors escaping... I just spitballing here so you can ignore me
-
I would think that they would become Meta
And builds that take advantage of them would be stale
-
Cast:
Wraith, Huntress, Blight
Dwight, Jake, David, Feng Min, Felix, Meg
Starts with Wraith hitting Dwight and Cloaking
Then it would shift to Blight staring at Jake, David and Meg working on a Gen
Felix would be on another Gen somewhere else... working alone
Huntress would be seen honing her Axe (humming her Lullaby)
-
Yea they are greeding that Pallet... running passed it the first time gives them information on how you played that
1) If you don't stop then they will drop it the next time
2) If you hesitate then they won't drop the Pallet
It's all about the micro gameplay
-
No body... I guess that it wasn't a hot take

Can we stop using the excuse that gens are too fast?
The time it takes to complete a generator solo was increased to 90 seconds, because "gens go too fast". It did nothing to put a damper on tunneling. I think people opt to tunnel because it's easier than going for 12 hooks and prioritising gen defense.
Ok....
Gen regression is to slow... so rather then kick a Gen we chose to chase someone we see on matter Hook States (cause we can't see them)
We have little way to increase that... giving how they nerfed Gen regression perks
Also Survivors hated the Gen Kick Meta... but look at what we have now
-
It's not just that... it's more like overall balance...
Though knowing that there's no such thing as perfect balance
But giving what we have to deal with:
Tunneling- Both Killers and Survivors do this to progress the game
Maps- There's a lot to go on with this but... yea
Pips- They still have a couple of things that aren't working out
Grades- Same as Pips
-
Yea they should...
Seems Tunneling is the playstyle used by a lot of Killer players do
But have we looked into why they do Tunnel...
1) Gens are too fast... so Kills got to be fast
2) Bodyblocking- having the focus shift onto who just came off of the hook
3) Survivors teabagging at the exit gates... that takes a toll on players mental
-
But to fix this... is more then just changing perks... it's change the base game and changing perks
1) Either make Gens take 100 charges to complete with checkpoints at 25%, 50% and 75% or leave it the same (80 charges but change up Gen efficiency
2) Buff Gen regression perks to be more then what they are right now
3) Adding in Hooks and Gens to MMR... possibly adding more Grades/Ranks (most likely combining the 2)
4) Making adjustments to the Pips and have them add in to MMR
That's all I can think of off the top of my head... feel free to have an opinion on it
-
If I get 9-11 hooks before 3-4 Gens are done I'll let the last one escape... hatch only
Or if I play Observer Wraith
-
There's a lot of reasons as to why players Tunnel
1) Gens are to fast- so they kill fast
2) Bodyblocking- taking the attention of the Killer will have then chase you
3) Getting 12 hooks before 5 Gens and the exit gates are opened is hard to do- but that's what Survivors want
4) Teabagging at the Exit gates- this causes Killers to go all out so that doesn't happen again
So of those are more mental, others are gameplay

Unbreakable doesn’t really help against this specific build where you’re getting slugged multiple times per match.
To be clear, I’m not saying UB should be basekit either, in fact I heavily disagree with that idea. Knockout is just an unfair and badly designed perk and that’s it really.
Fair enough... but it's more like why ask for Unbreakable to be basekit if you don't even use the perk?
I don't understand that is all
I know Knockout is bad for the game... But is it cause of the Blindness effect or the other effects
-
1) Pig- The ones that I play against Tunnel the Survivor with a Trap on... which irritates me to no end
2) Bubba- I just can't get away from him... LOL
-
Then why not run Unbreakable... rather then asking to have it basekit so you can keep using the same 4 Perks
Just saying
-
It sounds good... but don't let what's happening in games effect what kind of perk you make
I was thinking of making a perk that increased Gen speed apon ones death
-
But then again the way some of the perks work is why they can't do that
I would love for that to happen as well... but it wouldn't go right (Just look at Overwatch)
-
Lithe... the first Exhaustion perk I used
-
So Tunneling take no skill.... alright then... beware sarcasm overload
Working on a Gen from start to finish isn't skillful either... and doing that 5 times
Chasing isn't Skillful either... just cause you can be chased for all 5 Gens doesn't mean nothing
Just cause you can end a chase in 10 seconds doesn't mean anything
Escaping doesn't mean you are good
Killing doesn't mean you are good
Sarcasm over
So it's not about the game mechanics... it's more on how you use them
-
I'm bias... but I'd say the Pig
-
@C3Tooth Those animations/pictures look amazing... and they do fit her to a point (LOL)
-
So how about a Perk Synergy tier list???
Cause there's Killers powers and TR to think about
Plus I think Whispers is S tier... I use it on every Killer (that I have it on)
I could make a couple of arguments for other perks but it is what it is
But I kinda agree with the rest of the list
-
Gen efficiency with 4 Survivors is better then 3
With 4 Survivors:
1 being chased
3 on Gens (either separate or together)
OR
1 being chased
1 fallowing
2 on Gens (either separate or together)
With 3 Survivors:
1 being chased
2 on Gens (either separate or together)
OR
1 being chassed
1 fallowing
1 on Gens
Plus some of the resources will be used
-
Dying Light is "a day late and a dollar short"
Resilience is risk V reward... being injured but having a bonus to Gen efficiency and vault speed
Prove Thyself is trying to balance Gen efficiency V penalties
Daja Vu is for players that can't find Gens (like me) not just new players
-
There are perks for those situations.... as stated before
Players just want "easy matches" without running perks to stop things they don't like
I don't like Gens being done before I find a Survivor so I run Corrupt... I don't like looking around for survivors so I run Whispers
Those 2 perks are the biggest ones... those have not left my builds (minus the Killers that I don't have those perks on)
-
I would like both buffs and nerfs
Buffing some perks and nerfing others
Having more perks being "meta" is a good thing in the long run
-
The Devs have weaved a web of code and band-aids at this point... so it'll take longer for this to happen
-
So Tunneling doesn't take skill... Ok
And comparing it to Gens is wrong cause Gens can regress to 0 and Survivors only have 3 hook states
But as soon as a Gen is completed it can't be touched... but being injured can be healed
Gens take 450 seconds to complete, depends on Map, Survivors and Perks and Exit Gates to be powered take 16 seconds (I think), and that also depends on Maps, Survivors and Perks
Chases vary greatly so it's not likely to get a time on... per match, per Map, per Survivor... and let's not forget about perks
And chasing 1 Survivor means that 3 Survivors will be on Gens
-
So instead of offering more perk verity you want Killers to use the same old same old...
STBFL is a decent perk... it allows for Killers to play with more strategy (Should I go for a M1 or M2... Oh I'm chasing the Obsession might as well go for a M2)
Also it allows Killer players to get used to using M2 (on Killers that do)
-
They're fine as is
SB: Timing is everything plus once used the Killer has 60+ seconds to catch and either hit or down
Lithe: Gotta be near a Window or dropped Pallet to get value plus once used the Killer has 60+ seconds to get the hit or down
-
IDK either...
But there's a lot of back and forth when it comes to this
-
If you want Cages to act like Hooks then all of the Killer's Hook perks should work just as much as Survivor getting there's to work
Cages already spawn far away from PH and he can't see the Cages so how does the Tunneling happen
-
Having to wear nametags (either Forum name or username) would have to be done
Other then that I wouldn't mind meeting all of whom go (If I can go in the first place)
-
Pig is an Anti-Tunneling Killer
Gen Efficiency is an issue (not Gen times)... And if we want it to be more balanced we need to expose this
Map generation is another issue
-
Matchmaking
Certain Killers being what they are... mostly PC and Console based cause Nurse on PC is different then Nurse on console (same with Blight)
Gen efficiency not being looked at... we need to have a version on Gens that make it possible to win a match cause the Killer didn't pay much attention to Gens but lose when "no ones doing Gens"
It would be great if both sides can prove they have the overall skill (Both mechanically and gamesense) without "I ran the Killer for 5 Gens but died so where's my MMR"... or "I had to repair all of the Gens (2-3), Get chased, Get hooked so where's my MMR"
Also the Tome's have gotten out of hand... if you have to bring a different build for one node then I don't think that it's worth it
I also believe that most of the issues are in the back end (planning and coding)
-
Maybe making it a perkless mode
Limiting Maps and addons
Making the Grade system matter more then it does
-
Tobin Bell... seems that John Kramer won't be in the game at this point
But then again my ideas for his perks wouldn't be anything but SAW related
-
OOF... I can't remember what I'm running on Freddie... I don't play him all that much
-
But it's more like their coding isn't up to the amount of balance patches they want
-
Then we'll ask for buffs to the weaker perks
Bloodhound, Predator... could use the buff but IDK how to buff them
-
Survivors have learned that doing Gens is the play against all odds
Plus chasing 1 Survivor means that 3 other Survivors should be on Gens
Plus repair speeds are out of hand at this point
-
It's a problem that everything that we can control is a mix of both
Since Grades are a joke (only there for ego and BP)
And MMR just takes Kills/Escapes
The whole thing is irritating to a degree
-
Another Sony IP that could be used would be Twisted Metal... just saying
Also that anything is possible even though they don't like Chucky cause "it's goofy" (which is funny cause we have bunny suits, a K-Pop Killer and most of the gameplay is just running around in circles... Scooby-Doo comes to mind)
-
MFT is still good... if you know how to use it
The mental side of everything is something that needs to be thought of
Just like most other perks
-
Just grin and bear it....
If they did anything to SWF's it would ruin the game
Just like if Survivors were buffed to solo a Killer
