1) Sure why not
2) Makes sense
3) Why???
4) I can get behind this
5) Yea
6) No... they removed it for a reason
7) Maybe... I really think that it should be left as an addon
8) Same... some of those other suggestions would help
9) Why... if they do make Rule Set #2 basekit there's no reason for it... and if they did add in Jigsaw Boxes to it... it would be dumb from a Survivors perspective
-
I not expecting a lot.... Maybe a Licensed chapter IDK which one
Maybe the perks will be worth it or won't be worth it
The map may or may not "work" for one side or the other
-
I didn't like the idea of showing anything (to be honest)
Just show whatever at the end... it gives more to the gameplay and it may surprise players
-
1) There's more to it then just "it's unwinnable"... but I get it
2) It's already happening... First with ranks then with grades and now with MMR... plus the only way to play is ranked/ graded mode
-
Nerfing Gen perks won't answer the complaint
Buffing Base Gen regression would help a little bit... But it won't solve everything
Also maps do need to be changed

The funniest thing is that the trap RNG got buffed so hard that it is possible to die while trying to do all the searches, theres even videos of this, but if i would change her in the current state, i would make so performing a search pauses the timer, as a compesation, ambush could be buffed a lot
I can get behind that....
I would also change a lot of the addons... But I don't trust myself with those suggestions being balanced
-
Those do sound cool and unique but then multiply that times 4 and that's what'll happen
I was even thinking of a tripwire perk for Survivor but I couldn't think of a way to make it sound balanced
This game went from a party game to a competitive game as soon as it came out with ranks/ grades and now MMR
-
I used to watch Tru3 but then I realized that he makes mistakes but doesn't admit that he does
OTZ... after watching some of those 3+ hour best build for every Killer videos I've learned that what he says sometimes makes sense but on the other hand doesn't think of all playstyles that the Killers have... The last one that I watched had a repeat of perks which I find boring
I do watch Choy every now and again... I also kinda wished that he would make another Regression video but with the other Gen regression perks
I just post all of my matches after every stream... But then again I've taken all of the videos off of Public for me not being able to make any more videos and not being able to do what I wanted to
-
The problem with Hexes is that they don't have good enough spawn points... and they don't change all that much
Hex: Ruin- was the best cause of Gen regression... and had an easy way for Survivors to see if the Killer was running the perk
Hex: Hunted Grounds- not good enough by itself... IMO
Hex: Thrill Of The Hunt- used to be good but now not giving the Killer a notification just makes it a Totem slowdown perk... also it not having a deactivation effect
It's more on the Survivors learning how to see what Hexes were being played and learning where the Totems are
But yea I used to run OG Ruin and Huntress Lullaby... I wasn't nice at all (when it came to perk choices)
-
Lets actually think for a moment...
1) Base Gen regression is 1/4th of solo progression
2) % based perks are next to useless in the grand scheme of things... why isn't Jolt or Pop being discussed???
3) The problems I have seen about Eruption is the Incapacitated status effect's length... and the constant up time... so if BHVR increases the cooldown (or gives it one) and lessens the Incapacitated status effect... It wouldn't matter if the Killer brings 4 Slowdown perks Gens are still going to fly
4) Also if we were to go basekit (no perks, addons, or Items) we would see what really needs to be done
-
Horror theme is lost once people get used to things... not much BHVR can do about that
-

Yeah i was thinking the same, but its already done.
Also the pig needs a nerf (sarcasm*)
Evil snort........... But why though
-
1) Increasing the % doesn't make a difference... But increasing the Gen regression might help a little more
Perks are hard to judge... some were meant to be situational
Nothing on the Pig... how boring (sarcasm)
-
A game health update...
1) Increasing Base Gen Regression
2) Doing something to Gen progression (if Number 1 can't be done)
3) Adjusting Maps... Spawns for pretty much everything
4) Another bout of Perk changes
5) and probably a Licensed Chapter (phrase I can't type)

No, they're not. That's just the same old killer spiel of using tunnelling and camping as a beatstick.
"Change the game, or else I'll tunnel!"
"Throw the match and maybe I'll stop camping!"
"I might tunnel less if survivors got a few more nerfs!"
We heard it before. The devs acted on it before. It only got worse. Tunnelling and camping need direct, targeted nerfs to make them sub-par/non-viable playstyles.
5 second stun DS baseline (also no collision while it's up), and Reassurance goes back to a 40 second CD, just with 3/4/5 tokens per match.
I can agree that DS does need to go back....
But still.... Regression being what it is causes Killers to bring more regression perks
For some Killers they do Camp and Tunnel cause they can't deal with 4 Survivors and Progression... and the t-bags at the end with no sympathy... and GGEZ
-
Ok so instead taking care if the illness lets focus on the symptoms.... sounds good fellas (sarcasm)
Making the penalty of multiple Survivors on a Gen bigger (on one side)
And then making Regression do more (basekit)
Or they can make Gens have cheakpoints... once reached they need to put a part into the Gen
And then either add more regression basekit (also fixing the perks around this)
Cause it's the Maps and Progression VS Regression that are the true causes for Camping and Tunneling
-
The problem stems from base Gen regression being .25 charges per second and base Gen progression being 1.0 to 2.2 charges per second
So at base it takes 4-8 seconds to equal 1 second
Gen spawns, Totem spawns, Loop spawns... basically maps in general
-
Yes... I even made a suggestion to have a marketplace in the game to buy, sell and trade thing in

Only one I’d be worried about is haemorrhage with sloppy. Basically just gives ruin to any survivors and makes healing insanely hard (Think of sloppy +new coulophobia with super fast skill checks)
otherwise great ideas
It will randomize the skillchecks... but yea.... I made this thread 3 years ago.... so a few changes would need to happen

You can press "quote" to reply directly so they get the notification
It happened almost 3 years ago... no need to worry about it now

After typing my first comment....
Getting my first 4K
Getting rank 1... my only time doing it

Well the whole point of running Remember Me is to slow down gate opening speeds. If you think it would be better that survivors open doors at a normal speed, not using Remember Me is an option.
Ok... hold on...
So you're suggesting that the Obsession switches on every hit... and all Survivors suffer from the effects of Remember Me
Other then it switching every hit... It sounds good enough
-

Well I feel like the obsession not having their door open speed slowed down is kinda an unnecessary drawback for a perk thats only useful during the endgame anyways. It would still function the same, just without that drawback.
I mean that it'll free up other perks... but that being said
But slowing down the Gate opening has pros and cons... in certain situations

Ähm, care to explain how a survivor can play around fearmonger? I dont understand how that works.
Just deal with the fact that you won't have Greats... I don't see that being an issue
That and the fact that it is randomizes the skillchecks makes it better then facing the same skillchecks over and over again
-

The first change might make it weaker, but would make it less tunelly to use.
And I didnt say to remove its effects from non-obsessions, I said to remove the obsession's immunity to its effects.
So that's one debatable nerf and one objective buff.
Yea I mistyped... Removing the Obsessions effect just undoes what the perk was meant for
-

I like it, but considering bhvr changed OG ruin because it messed with new survivors too much, I can't see them adding more difficult skill checks based on status effects. I would love it though.
Here's the thing if they implemented this then it'll give those new players a choice either deal with the skillcheck or remove the condition for it
Like Ruin (and all Hexes at this point)

They changed dying light for a similar reason. It used to give a huge debuff to everyone when the obsession died, and they changed that because it encouraged tunneling one person out of the match.
So changing it to making a new Obsession after every hit makes it even harder (for the most part) to use
And removing the effects of Remember Me from non Obsessions again makes it weaker (for the most part)
-
So How do people feel about this topic????
-
Getting 2 RBT's to pop in one match... so satisfying
Also getting a head pop on a Survivor doing Gens with the RBT being activated... I just blocked the box they wanted
Like no you can't have your cake and eat it too.... LOL
-
Then why isn't being used... seems that Tunneling is the best thing to do (sarcasm)
Changing who the Obsession isn't just on the Killers... Survivors have perks that change who is the Obsession as well
While yes Tunneling the Obsession at the start of the match means getting some use out of Remember Me that doesn't mean that it needs a change
-
Also that every Killer has a warning for everything they do
Hillbilly- His roar when he starts running
Nurse- Holding her hand clenched... and her screams
Huntress- Holding up her hatchet and the sound that happens when it's fully charged
ETC....
Makes me not want to play those Killers... but some of them are kinda fun in their own right
-
Netflix has already had BHVR remove Stranger Things so I don't think so
-
Observer Wraith:
Discordance, TOTH, Fire Up and Whispers... With either All seeing (the Gen one)/ Silent Bell... or any other addon
-
You might need Gen regression
Maybe Jolt would help
-
Killers don't need anything at this point
They have faster recovery on hits... I think that is enough for now
-
For me it all depends on how the Killers are played... So all Killers would be in the Skill dependent Tier
-
But then why complain about Deadlock... it does the same thing
EDIT: If we are talking about Blocking the Gen
Why not just remove the interaction of repair if a Survivor is on it when Eruption activates (for all survivors)
But if we can't think of anything else why not increase the kicking to activate Eruption to Oppression levels
-
That would make maps more enjoyable... And it would allow BHVR to get rid of the Blueprint offerings (or make them secret)
-
No it's cause we as gamers learn the game either really fast or really slow
Also it's "boring" to just hold M1... for the whole game
Lets take your example....
Looping didn't exist at first cause nobody saw the benefit to do it... why would we show ourselves to the Killer
-
Looking at what the perk does it looks good on paper but it seems not that useful in practice
I mean it's effects are good enough to be used but there are better perks to use
Also the healing effect should've been put on Buckle Up (IMO)
-
Let Me Live Or Let Me Die:
Once the Survivor dies all other Survivors gain 15 seconds of 25% Gen progression
-
Some survivors will say that you did good... cause they got the win
-
So getting a free unhook while running perks.... sounds a bit to much
But what about base Gen regression VS. progression... that's a bigger topic to me
-
Also the Devs won't read this cause of the way you put it.... try being nicer
They tried that "pausing the hook stage" but that was turned into a weapon
Camping shouldn't be in the game (but I understand why it is)
Tunneling only comes down to the fact that the Game can be over before the Killer gets 4 separate hooks
How can the Killer show skill by getting 4 hooks and all the Gens are done... since it's Kills that matter (just like escaping is the only thing looked at) in terms of MMR
-
I do... cause it wasn't used that much before it's buff... and in that buff it went from 6% Gen regression to 10% and the Incapacitated status effect went from 16 seconds to 25 seconds
So my change to it would be to give it a Oppression like cooldown after the kick... so it's either get one Gen affected and take advantage of it or wait to get more Gens affected
Same regression and Incapacitated but longer kick cooldown (if it didn't have one already)
-
I think it'll lead more Survivors to understand what's going on in the match rather then "I did all of the Gens and my teammates were lazy (phrase I can't type)"
But do you really think that the Icons will make a drastic difference (when people use Kindred and the same thing happens)
It's more on the Survivors actually using their brains rather then turning them off and mindlessly doing Gens, Cleansing Totems, or nothing at all
-
I could say bodyblocking... but then again not much I don't think there is that many things "busted" in the game
So I will say that it's not anything in game it's all of the stuff outside of the game that has influence over what happens
MMR... MM... Maps... Servers... the lack of optimization for Consoles (or in general)... The real lack of new modes (but I do understand why)
So basically coding... that's the be all end all
-
If the game were to go through a re-design then it would be fair to say....
1) Toxic behavior will still be in the game... It's a PvP game also it's a 4V1 at that
2) Game balance will improve cause they don't have to fight against their own coding (Blocked Gens used to regress Gens but as soon as they announce the Gen blocking perk for Survivors they had to go away from that)
3) They can get more specific with things... Perks can be further spread out... Like taking out the information aspect of Call Of Brine and putting that on Surveillance... making things better overall without fear of coding things poorly
4) Fixing things will become easier cause things aren't connected anymore
-
They started so long ago....
Like when Mickey was in the works... that's when the cracks started to show (IMO)
-
Fixing the servers will help both sides.... just saying
