People want to win their games... so those that are saying that it's only Killers are only seeing one side of it
Tunneling isn't the be all end all either... Tunneling might get you a 4K but it might also get you a 0K... it all depends on how it's used
Maybe play a few matches without Tunneling and learn what you can do better (again without Tunneling)
-
There are perks now:
Kinship and Reassurance
So how about using them instead of begging for changes... or does that get in the way of what you want to do?
-
Call Of Brine only works for 60 seconds or until the Survivor taps the Gen
Eruption on the other hand can use a bit more... maybe longer cooldown per Gen kick (if it doesn't have it then put something on)... shorter Incapacitated state (something like 15 seconds give or take)
But isn't a Gen kick "meta" better then Camping and Tunneling "meta"
Also I get it both can be a thing but a Killer whos spending time kicking Gens can't be Camping nor Tunneling
-
The fact that this is a asym game... that's enough for me
-
The fact that this is a asym game... that's enough for me
-
Then what about Prove Thyself, Stakeout, Toolboxes, BNP's... ETC
Call Of Brine only needs to remove the information part and have that part be put on Surveillance... it can keep the Gen regression seems that it only lasts for 60 seconds
The Gen regression perks need to be strong but have no synergy with other Gen regression perks (IMO)
Overcharge needs to make the skillcheck go away if the survivor lets go of the Gen but lose the regression... or just do away with the skillcheck
I can agree with Eruption
Deadlock could be lowered by like 10 seconds (give or take)
Oh seems we are going down this route... revert the Gen charges back to 80... buff base Gen regression... and revert the base chase changes
Limiting one side doesn't do much to the issue... cause that's what happened:
1) .25 charges per second of base Gen regression... but 1.0 charges per second Gen progression
2) Putting Gen regression as perks can only go so far... where Survivor can either hit great skillchecks and bring Toolboxes
-
The 25 seconds is to long but it needs to stay... either as a Gen stopper or leave it as is but like 10 seconds
-
I mean if the Killer has time to kick Gens then Eruption is a good perk (so is Call Of Brine)
It has a cooldown of 30 Seconds- so every 30 seconds the Killer can kick a Gen and start Eruption
10% regression apon downing a Survivor- yea but it's needed getting any regression at this point takes perks
25 second of Incapacitated- yes this is a bit to much but they need to keep it in the game
-
Deadlock denies Gen rush (or fast Gens)... also it only blocks one Gen at a time so work on another one
Deadhard is like playing chicken... who's going to act first
-
Too many rules and restrictions to make it worth watching
And they want more Killers to be used... so more restrictions
-
They can't something needs to help Killers... plus they tried
Pig...
-
I get their stream narrowed down... then play the game... then say GG at the end of the match
Chat with them if need be
-
It all depends on gameplay....
Bodyblocking- It isn't Tunneling but taking what Survivors do
Hiding- If the unhooked Survivor is the only one seen then it's not Tunneling
Quick Saves- If that happens then it depends on positioning
Getting BT out of the way is just a little bit more pressure on that specific Survivor... even downing that Survivor is just more pressure and punishment on one of those situations
It would be different if none of those things happen
-
I mean... if you are in ear shot then yes it could be higher...
But then again if they did then it would be map wide (if it's not already)
-
So instead of blaming Killers they will blame each other... sounds good IMO
Also saying that it's the last nail in the coffin sounds pessimistic
I for one am all for it... it gives Solo Survivors a tool to use to get better

mind games are part of looping
Are mindgames fun or are they boring???
-
Looping is boring... just saying
So running around whatever one finds is fun?
Mindgames are way more fun... defending Gens is way more fun... hitting survivors, downing them and hooking them is way more fun
-
This is a asym game... so it can't be truly balanced
There are other issues other then SWF can can be dealt with
But more so QOL then actual changes to the game... and the tease post kinda proves that

No I got them also, but I'm kinda sad. The perks they had I've already been using and didn't realize it since I'm new, so basically I bought the skins only with no way to dress them up. Oh well, if they ever bring them back, then I'll be 1 step ahead. Thank god I didn't pay 40 dollars up to 90 where I see people selling it for that. On ebay right now ones in the 80's. This one was like 50 something, but swindled it to 12 bucks. Ty seller!
I mean in your OP you mentioned that you only wanted Nancy...
Plus if I were new I wouldn't have bought them... But it's more personal choice rather then not knowing
-
So just Nancy.... and not Steve and Demogorgon
Right ok then
-
It's the effect of MMR... Kill or Escape
And it's finishing the objective as fast as possible...
Not finishing a Gen then running around the map
Or Hooking a Survivor then staying away long enough for the save and heal to happen (And not chasing another Survivor)
-
That sounds fun but to make it break once used
-
Ok.... so I would rework her addons
Her base kit is fine
-
Killer- Whispers
Survivors- Leader
I know that Whispers isn't terrible by any means but not many people run it
Leader has decent bonuses... when I'm not doing the action

Well, not much about the Killer perk meta explicitly encourages tunneling. No Way Out even rewards you for doing the exact opposite. But Dead Hard? It can actively punish you for NOT tunneling.
Well yea... perks have pros and cons about them
-
The "meta" is a problem on both sides.... Just Saying

If "pretty much everyone" considers it bad then why does it continue to happen??? It's the same thing as waiting till the last second to leave the match... it's those people whom are holding up Queue timesI see this (TB) relatively rarely. Definitely not every match.
As for waiting around the exit gates: sometimes this is to check to see if another survivor needs help, or waiting for an injured survivor to heal to try and get a pip.
Also, it's an element that doesn't impact the game. If developers disabled repeated crouching it wouldn't impact win/loss rates.
Waiting around when all 4 are there... then that's a little much

But Gen rushing and T-Bagging at the exit gates are ok???Why do we always get the 'T-Bagging okay' argument? Pretty much everyone considers it bad manners at the exit gate. And while it's rude, it's not impacting the game like camping/3 genning/gen rushing.
-
As many people have mentioned, killers can identify a 3 gen from the start. This can create an infinite loop: survivors rush in, get hit, retreat to heal, killer kicks gens, heal. Sure it's breakable by a team with the right setup and/or SWF, but can be impossible for a soloQ.
It's cause it happens...
If Killers identify a 3 Gen... they should be able to defend it... Killers don't have pressure right as the match starts
If "pretty much everyone" considers it bad then why does it continue to happen??? It's the same thing as waiting till the last second to leave the match... it's those people whom are holding up Queue times
Finishing Gens as fast ass possible is the Survivors primary objective.... Killing all 4 Survivors as fast as possible is the Killer's primary objective... everything else is just a secondary objective
But with the game the way it is... Killers have to adapt (and so do Survivors)
-
I'd say Streetwise... it provides more benefit to the team then Built To Last
-
Killers do have to dumb some things down... Kills and Gens
Kills- Anymore then 2 is a win
Gens- Trying to minimize the repairs is more like a secondary objective ( but slowing down the match helps the Killer get more Kills... so vicious cycle here we go)
-
One can't generalize difficulty for one side or the other
Killers- Have to be aware of 4 Survivors, 7 Gens and the map... up to 16 perks
Solo queue Survivors- Have to be aware of 3 Survivors, the Killer, 7 Gens and the map... up to 16 perks
SWF Survivors- Have to be aware of the Killer, 7 Gens and the map... and only the Killers perks
-
Removing Greats should happen from the start and get them if one works on a Gen for X progress (seconds)
It could take over as the passive
-
Yea general Killer buffs won't work... Look at the game now
But I think if they did something different it'll work a lot better
But then again I don't have any experience in the game right now so I have no idea what happens in game (other then reading what other people say)
-
1) Balance Maps...
2) Revert the Gen changes (80 charges per Gen)
3) Change some Killers (Nurse and Blight getting "nerfed" and Trapper, Freddie and Pig getting "buffed") and changing a lot of the perks and addons
-
So Camping is a no go.... and 3 Genning is also a no go
But Gen rushing and T-Bagging at the exit gates are ok???
Anyway Killer seeing a 3 Gen and not taking advantage of it is what?
Yes I get it having that Killer not do anything outside the 3 Gen can be an issue... Call Of Brine only gives 200% Gen regression for 60 seconds and a notification on a skillcheck... Eruption is only useful once a Survivor goes down... Overcharge has the skillcheck as soon as the Survivor touches a Gen and increases the Gen regression in 30 seconds... All of these perks have synergy so finding a couple of solutions for it can go a long way...
I did it once as Pig I forgot my build but it was after I prestiged her (This was like a year or so ago)

I am certain if the devs actually bother to create system in place for the game to detect mechanics being off for cheating; I am certain that they should develop or incorporate systems in place to detect a killer's proximity to a hooked Survivor.
Yes, Slugging is quite a tricky situation; as without Unbreakable based perks; it can be a solid strategy for killer to leave a Survivor on the ground in case they know there is another survivor in close proximity for a possible save (Flashlight, Flashbang, hook sabotage, etc.) I most certainly wouldn't want to give points for Slugging, as I do think survivor should be able to fight back and be able to pick themselves up if possible.
Yet, I do think killer's need some reward for hooks, as the problem with the state of the game; it is much faster and efficiently to take out one survivor as fast as possible, especially if they can find the weak link of the team. This (toxic) stable strategy involves camping, tunneling, and Slugging to maximize pressure for the entire survivor Team as they will be weak by their lack of number by down one survivor at a time. There needs to be many benefit for the killer to slowdown game by hooks, so they can have additional time to go for multiple hooks and be less incentive to camp and tunnel one guy.
As you said before, this problem so complex that, it like trying to build a rocket to the Mars and land it successful, with government funding.
But they also need to be careful... adding to much will cause the system to not be accurate
But at least what they have is a decent base
Also the reason why Camping and Tunneling increased was 2 fold:
1) No incentives for the Killer to do something else... Hit and Run has taking a hit due to Survivors A) running Medkits and B) knowing what to do in that situation
2) The fact that Survivors are better at Looping then before... Good for them... also Survivors are getting better at hitting skillchecks
-
It all started as people finding out that MMR can be raised by getting kills and escaping
So they need to add just a bit more like Gens and Hooks
-
It's all for the Survivors to know if/when you use your power... the same as Spirit, Nurse, Hillbilly... ETC
-
It all depends on the Survivor mindset as soon as they enter the pre-match lobby
-
Yes the "meta" did change but then again it didn't
It's still Gen regression VS. Second Chance and Gen progression
But the perks used have changed.... from passive slowdown to active slowdown (minus Pop)
Also the Gens now take 10 charges longer to finish... 10 seconds of progression and 40 seconds of regression
Then again good Survivors can hit multiple great skillchecks... but it's more of getting them
Killers still have time against them so they need to either find time or make time... 2-4 slowdown perks and Camping and Tunneling with Slugging mixed in there... cause again chasing 1 Survivor means that 3 Survivors are free to do Gens
And that equals to 3X however long the chase lasts... 10 seconds = 30 seconds... ETC
-
This community must learn how to take breaks.... that being said
1) Yea a Killer finding and locking down a 3Gen is terrible... but look at it from the Killers perspective, they could've played a match (or more) that had them chasing a Survivor and having 2-3 Gens be complete and only end up hooking that one Survivor
2) At this point I think Eruption should be Killswitched until they can come up with a better version of it (I know that's not how Killswitch works but -phrase I can't type- all of this discussion around Eruption is tiring)
3) Also there are points in which both sides can work out which perks the other side doesn't like and agree to not use them
I would turn this into a suggestion but I'll stop typing right now....
-
1) You have to make it to Endgame
2) You can't be the one chased and Camped
3) The Exit Gates have to be opened
Now I would like to see NOLB get the Gens completed condition instead of EGC but who am I
-
1) Yes maps are a bit messed up... but removing the offering is only for the maps that are Killswitched
2) Nerfing Medkits and Toolboxes won't be enough... they need to buff the other Items as well
3) Trapper still has the fear of a Traps all over the map, but yes he needs some changes... Pig doesn't need to get a headpop every match and people need to realize that the Pig is an Anti- Tunneling Killer... Nurse does need to be looked at (same with Blight)
-
If they did that then they might as well add Gens to it
Cause Gens are just as important as Hooks and Kills
-
Shifting from a "don't kick Gens" Meta to a kick Gens Meta
People need to make up their minds... Do you like a non-Gen kicking Meta or a Gen kicking Meta
Either:
Ruin, Undying, Pop and whatever... and the Killer chasing whomever
Or:
Eruption, Overcharge, Call Of Brine and whatever... and the Killer kicking Gens whenever
But I digress... so IMO they could increase the cooldown, lessen the Incapacitated status effect... that's all it needs at this point and time
-
I agree... it'll take a little getting used to but I like it
-
For me... it's Pig, Huntress, Hag, Spirit... with Doctor, Legion, Deathslinger, Hillbilly being my fun go to
-
I also forgot to mention SH: Gift Of Pain
-
Players need to realize that you can't stop most Gens from being done
Survivors should be able to get 1-3 Gens done (in general)... but the game doesn't reward nor penalize how many Gens get done
MMR only works by getting kills or escaping... nothing else matters
The Emblem system (which is by far the fairest... hindsight being 20/20) is bugged to (word I can't type) and won't see any fixes (as far as I can see) from Killers not getting scored properly to Survivors whom can't pip in certain situations
Now put those two together and it's (word I can't type)...
Is Gen speed the issue or is it a symptom of something else

Yeah just Eruption. I don't run other slowdown perks I even stopped with thana on my legion cause I don't like the nerfed thana. I don't even know what it is we had strong anti Gen perks before and we have other strong anti Gen perks now I would even say we have other perks that are just as strong as eruption wich makes a full slowdown build so oppressive.
Ok.... that's really cool
