and ´´in the old days´´ blight was so bad, sooo bad
-
my honest opnion:
twins: they´re amazing, outplaying victor is always good, and kicking him hooly, the only bad part is the fact that vic can´t carry you to the hooks
trickster: 16 hits huntress, meh, but really good to play as
nemesis: one of the most chase interactive killers, really fun for both sides, and the tentacle is buged??? what?
pinhead: really fun killer to play as and sometimes ok to play against, dodging his chains is always so rewarding, good counterplay for both sides
artist: sometimes is impossible to survive but really fun in decent loops
old onryo: the old condemn playstyle was the most boring thing ever
new onryo: i don´t care about her
dredge: really well designed killer, no complains about him
wesker: generic dash killer, so he´s fun i guess?
knight: if you actually know how his power works he´s really fun to play against, manipulating his IA feels so good, but playing as him is just pain
old skull merchant: literally #########
new skull merchant: decent i guess
singularity: he´s the most boring thing ever to play against in soloq, emp? well, he just reinfect you in 2 seconds, drop pallet? insta pallet break, lose LOS? tp using cameras, outplay him and get distance? tp, jump window? insta vault or tp, you need your team to take hits or emp you? well, you´re in soloq so gl
but playing as him is not that bad, really fun
alien: learn gow to use turrets pls, put turrets in strong loops, generators, common paths and etc, and you can 100% dodge his tail if he´s not laggy, pretty fun in general
chucky: funny but boring to loop

yes, survivor don't heal just repair the gen.
4 injured survivor let killer down and down the survivor, Even so, the survivors still repaired the generator.
and killer can doesn't hook anyone even if everyone is downed. just like survivor open the gate and don't leave.
survivor can enjoy play in gate 120s, killer can enjoy doesn't hook anyone even if everyone is downed 240s.
my man really complains about survivors waiting at the exit gates

Wouldn't that be the point though? I mean if that's the concern of Coup (which of course it is), Deadlock is the obvious combo to ensure you wouldn't lose your stacks. Maybe Infectious Fright with Dead Man's Switch and Monitor and Abuse or something.
Coup to my mind is a pretty strong perk that allows you to get some gnarly hits, and encouraging you to use it, to go for it like you do yourself, seems a good move to me. The improved lunge as a flat effect would be busted though. It's like a mini Pig ambush with no wind up 😅
Game Afoot could use some love, on every basic, Nemesis would give you an aura read each time as well which sounds pretty tasty combo. Perhaps simply giving the switch a simple cooldown of 20s so we don't get obsessions switching constantly during a slug. That way you land a hit on a hovering/sluggable survivor near your down and still get Furtive Chase with it...

Interesting, tell me more 🙃
I think that two can play should apply to any type of stun and a token system, for each token that the two can play perk obtains, the blindness time that the survivor will suffer will be increased
autodidactic is just, you know, very RNG dependent

Recently i had an interesting conversation with a former DBD streamer (Demogorgon main, Survivor main) and we had a long talk why he left the game. It basically came down to the following statement, and i realised it is completly true:
"Since Blight release in September 2020, so over 3 years ago, the killer design became worse and worse, with almost no exception."
Lets take a look at the roster:
Twins: Nobody plays the twins, and almost everybody hates them. The gameplay revolves around slugging and camping, usually something a killer wont enjoy, neither do survivors. Desperatly needs a rework.
Trickster: Extremly hated and not played much either. An extremly one-dimensional little counterplay chase killer. Not much thought into this one. The rework made him not better, for neither side.
Nemsis: Not loved either. For many a boring loose/loose killer. Very uninspired power. His wip is still buged in many ways (for example crouch tech).
Pinhead: Probably more in the okay category, they added some stuff that makes this killer a little bit interesting. Overall still a strange fella, that has little chance against strong groups but easy wins versus solo players.
Artist: Arguably one of the dumbest killers ever released. The beginning of the "leave the loop or get hit" killers. Very bad design overall. And also not many who enjoy this killer.
Onryo: The pub stomper. Cool license but overall a power weaker players can not handle well. Not bad for me personally but i can see why people dont like her. Overall an interesting concept, but wasted potential.
Dredge: Poor Dredge. Sounds so good on paper, but this killer plays.. how do i say this.. clumsy? Not to bad tho, but it could have been so much better. At leasted they nailed the "spooky" aspect.
Wesker: The radiant star and the only really great killer BHVR designed in over 3 years. Sure, not everybody loves him, but in terms of chase, he is the by far most interesting and most fair killer to play against since a long time. And he is super fun to play, easy to learn, hard to master. Everything i could wish for good killer design.
The Knight: L o L.
Skull Merchant: DC DC DC DC. Rework made a terrible designed killer even worse. How is this even possible?
Singularity: Overall interesting and fine. Cool design, but so much effort for the little you get back as killer. Yet, another survivor defense killer. I dont hate him, not at all, but still most downs feel way to RNG based and cheap.
Alien: Loose/loose killer. Nobody wants that really.
Chucky: Great potential, but so far we are miles away from a great killer. Most dont like Chucky because he is in most situations unfair. Many killer complain they dont like the power CD. Understandable somewhat.
Most killers i named have one thing in common: Little to no chase interaction. Looping/Unique pathing is often not possible and it is more effective to just brainless drop the pallet, run away and hope Capitno RNG is in your favour.
I want to see good killer design and less failed experiements. I beg for more killers that fullfill the golden standard. Powerful, but fair. In case you wonder: Billy, Blight, Wesker, Demogorgon, Huntress and Bubba are great examples. They are strong, potentially stronger then most unfun killers and still loved. Why cant we have more of them instead gettign flooded with crap?
The opposite of this golden standard are the recent ones i named: Artist, Knight, Alien, Skull Merchant for example. Stop pumping out more and more of those and find your way back to the roots. I beg you.
so running fowards quickly = good design?

two can play and autodidatic

And why, exactly, is STBFL getting a change?
This perk is extremely helpful for M1 killers. I don't see why it needs a nerf.
because a big streamer (you know) started to complaint about it being ´´too opressive´´ and the entire community decided it's true

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/401039/anti-slug-bleed-out-mechanic
There are completely fine reasons to slug, though. Say we're on Dead Dawg Saloon and I have boil over, flip flop & unbreakable. The only win condition for the killer (if I take chases with a single braincell engaged and go down upstaris in main) is to bleed me out.
And that's fine. I have employed a strategy, and they have employed the countermeasure.
I get the frustration with unnecessary slugging, but any use of a basekit feature must consider the abuse of that basekit feature. I've essentially bought myself an extra chase beyond those four minutes with my build - if the door is opened in that plot twist final stand (i.e. after I use this feature to get picked up) I just blatantly win in 99% of cases - they'd have to have a way to Expose me, or find a way to hit me twice before I get through the gate and out.
that wasn't the point friend, I'm referring to when you literally die, when the bleeding bar reaches 0% if all 4 survivors are on the ground and the killer refuses to hook them, about the boil over squads, my idea is easily exploitable, so it would need adjustments to have any chance of making it into the game :)
-
@The_Daydreamer said:
I am honestly lazy and will just copy some of my answer in a other thread, but I just gonna say that I don't think we need something against slugging as basekit. Slugging is a legit and sometimes necessary strategy. I get it that it's not always fun, but there is already enough that survivors can do against it.
Either with Plot Twist, Unbreakable, Boon: Exponential and Tenacity - other Healing or Endurance perks can help too! f.e. We are gonna live forever, Boon: Circle of Healing, Botany Knowledge, Buckle Up, For the People. Survivors have enough tools to go against slugging and I don't think they need even more base game mechanics. Anti-Camp and Basekit Borrowed Time are enough to support them and allow for other perks like these named above.
i appreciate your opinion

lol
survivors love FREE perk.
first is FREE 8s Borrowed Time.
then survivors have FREE Babysitter (PRO) Haste 7%→10% and 10s borrowed time.
even now survivors have FREE 16m Deliverance.
and YOU still want more FREE perk and that looks like unbreakable + Adrenaline, just because "should receive an effect, having a last chance"
If you don't know how to handle slug, just learn how to deal with it. not cry for more FREE perk.
If killer cry for FREE perk:
16m Deerstalker+ 20s just -50 % Crawling speed Knock Out for “last downed survivor hide Weast time”.
6s Insidious for “this is more fun”
just Basement Monstrous Shrine for "this will be great"
only Haemorrhage Sloppy Butcher + only Increases the Rotation speed of Healing Skill Checks Coulrophobia for "survivor easy heal"
12m Spies from the Shadows for "Hearing impaired"
40m Whispers for "can't find survivors."
0.5s Mindbreaker + just The next Survivor interacting with that Generator is faced with a difficult Skill Check Overcharge. for "if the survivor decides touch gen and leave"
32m Territorial Imperative whitout Aura for "it should be."
2s Mad Grit for "having a chance to hook if the survivor decides bodyblock to not let killer hook any survivors."
pick 4 FREE perk for killer, imagine that Influence the game.
You clearly couldn't understand what I said
This will only affect killers who decide to leave all the survivors bleeding on the ground after taking them down, and yes, deerstalker should be basekit in some ways imo
and It's obviously a flawed system that can be easily exploited, that's why it's called a suggestion, an idea of what you can do to improve the fun on both sides
-
old skull merchant was BS in literally every way, useless chase power, almost useless tracking and useless stealth, the new one at least needs map knowledge and a good macro, but no survivor tries to play against her or at least understand how to counter her (it's super simple, she's basically an improved clown), and she´s still boring to loop against because she´s a basic m1 killer (safe drop is cringe)
-
@pale_hispanic said:
It’s a fun mechanic and I don’t want to see it entirely gone after the event is over. Make then a permanent part of Ormond. It fits the setting and adds a little variety to the maps.
i agree
-
this is not alien hitbox being bad, it´s survivor hitbox being bad
-
inf T3 myers/ghost face + any m1 killer (exposed downs)
dredge + huntress/trapper (undetectable + highlight survivors + nightfall)
plague/legion + oni (infinite blood orbs)
pig + doctor/legion (impossible reverse beartraps)
sadako + pinhead (insane match slowdown)
singularity + skull mechant (no W holding)
hillbilly + blight (fast boys)
chucky + twins (you know)
alien + pyramid head (ultimate anti loop duo)
demogorgon + nemesis (pallet eaters)
just some cool combo ideas :)

Oh, I didn't realize it has been nerfed.
Good to know.
It was the next killer I wanted to buy coming back to the game but I guess I'll skip it.
it´s not a nerf, but a fix
-
I drafted my comment poorly, I would like to clarify it
I would like a way to ´´give up´´ as a killer or survivor, disconnecting as a killer is nothing more than giving up because the game ends immediately
for example, yesterday I disconnected from the match because the survivors were playing ´´immersively´´aka stealth, basically torture for me, the match was boring, there was no interaction at all, I was literally just existing
I made the comment about the servers due to the fact that being disconnected by the servers counts as ´´dc´´, I purposely disconnected twice, but I received almost an hour penalty due to the fact that the servers had a problem and ´´ DC me from matches repeatedly´´ (I'm sure it wasn't my internet), I think they should recreate this punishment, and a different system for it
-
no

@Gabe_Soma said:
"it would let people with actual game knowledge and skill get rewarded"

?? what are you assuming bruh im talking about clown, when i mentioned wraith? xD these sillys take comments and opinions so personal and start arguing out of the nowhere..
a killer should not be slower if the point of the power is making him fast, that´s the point
-
you can´t counter it most of the time, just try to waste his time holding W or something
-
auto aim helps you more than you think, without auto aim, you would have to know the exact moment to stop pressing the attack button and follow the survivor perfectly with your camera, a simple 360/180 would completely destroy control players

So there is this new challenge on Tome 17 Level 4 "Decisive light" which requires you to blind the killer twice while carrying a survivor in the same game. Is there any chance we could change this into one time or not in one game? I tried it in 6 matches now and I didn't even get a single one. I am never using flashlights bc I am pretty bad with them. Doesn't work with flashbangs for me either bc I can't handle them at all. Normally I would ignore the challenge but there is a tome entry locked behind it.
I would appreciate a change. Thank you.
blind him during his ´´hooking´´ animation
-
after hitting 3 great skill checks, ######### in game or just never touch a gen again
-
killers can tunnel and camp because it´s a basic way to play the game, survivors can bodyblock, flash bang/flash light save, use anti camp/anti tunnel basekit mechanicss and anti tunnel/anti camp perks like reassurance, camaraderie, resurgence, reactive healing, off the record, made for this, the classic dead hard, decise strike,, unbreakable if tey wait your DS, sprint burst, babysitter, no one left behind for end game rescues, BT, medkits, etc etc and etc, you have options dude, just try to play around it, play with friends, but if it´s a nursse, blight, artist, pinhead, pyramid head, wesker or spirit you´re just dead lol

Controller. 😔
You prolly should post this in the Trickster feedback area of the forum. Hopefully others will relate their experiences with him as well.
ok
-
A crosshair in the center of the screen would make all the difference imo
-
make traps harder to avoid, give myers an option to switch btwn tier 1 and 2 or just remove tier 1, give clown 5 bottles, make freddy decent, wraith is in a good spot, buff pig´s ambush and delete legion
-
that´s a really good idea
-
so you think wraith should be slower during his cloaking animation? because it makes him faster and give him an easy hit after his uncloak

Well I have a problem when my entire loop becomes inaccessible and I randomly receive claw trap tokens that I cannot acknowledge since I'm focused on the chase. Would be nice to at least have a meter on the bottom center of the screen to display that.
ok then

Hack the drone mid-chase? Oh my. If that doesn't give the most free hit ever then I don't know what does. You also seem to forget 10% hindered doesn't really allow looping with a claw trap on.
´´if you can, hack the drone mid chase´´, if you can, some ppl are just guitar hero god level pro players and can do it in like half a second, you need to be safe for doing it like after dropping a pallet, if you can loop clown, you can loop skull merchant, why don´t you try to learn the looping? windows and pallets still a thing even with a 10% hindered

Yeah, I know what you mean and I get all your points and I'm very thankful for your opinions. They let me second guess this idea, but nonetheless I think it has to be done something about overpowered/ meta builds. Only relying on the same perks/ perk combination isn't healthy for a game on long terms. I'd love to see more varience, only playing against the same bunch of perks because they work well together is kinda boring.
😉

Okay so hold W to counter drones but don't hold W because the 10% hindered isn't that bad. Nice.
that´s not what i said, and you know it
-
guys, stop holding W, that´s just dumb, adapt you gameplay around the slow movement speed, i play skull merchant and i faced some really good survivors, shack and jungle gym are the best tiles against her, and inf loops are useless if you´re claw trapped, same logic for the knight, artist, dredge or every other anti loop ranged killers
-
like, it literally kills the concept of build, and if the killer is using 4 aura perks he can´t do anything about gens, if he´s using 4 slowdown perks he can´t do anything about ´´immersive´´ survivors, you know what i mean?
-
No, it´s not a really a ´´good op perk´´ if you know the maps

Tunneling was seen once in a while some years/months ago, today, tunneling right at the start in pretty much every trial.
- it is unbearable
- the game is clearly not designed around tunneling as there is literraly no good counter to it, especially with the anti-loop killers we get now
- it entirely kills the fun for the whole survivor team
I don't know how this major flaw has never been adressed for years but it has to go now.
Tunneling is only manageable in SWFs, every other survivors setup cannot deal with it at all.
well, stop using chase and gen perks, use off the record, ds, dh, sprint burst, something, and chase is the most fun part of the game right? also, play with your friends

-
basekit bt, bt, dead hard, buckle up, made for this, off the record, WGLF, soul guard, medkit, feral slash, redeemer, claw trap, all of them makes you faster if you´re using mft, it´s not that bad, mft is a really good anti tunnel
and about trickster, his main event looks a bit, OP lol

You know how people say that when you are fighting a Nurse you are playing the 'Nurse Game', not regualr DBD?
I want more of that. But, you know, more balanced.
oh i see
-
what
-
the counterplay to killers doing their objectives is doing YOUR objectives, a generator takes 1:30 minutes or less, if your team is doing gens you literally win the match, and if you tap a totem, gen or try to heal it´s not a tunnel because you´re an active survivor, but sometimes soloq can waste your effort
