If it'd been done during any other month, the usual people would still be claiming "it's a political statement", like they do every time a non-heterosexual is included in any media format. It's almost like they just don't want non-heterosexuals.

But your talking to me not "the usual people" so I would appreciate if you talked to me. But now that the strawmen comparisons are coming out I can see where we are headed.

I'm going to stop now, I said my part, and I have no interest in where this is going.

This has nothing to do with the topic at hand. You know perfectly well that this is a bad faith whataboutism argument that you are making.

I understand what you mean but my point is the devs originally wanted to avoid this but decided to open the box so why not go all the way? Any reason they shouldn't?

I don't want the game to be political. Is that a bad thing?

It's pretty obvious this is a political statement. If it was done during any other month I wouldn't bat an eye but doing this on pride month is a pretty obvious "How do you do my fellow gays."

  • Why not? I don't mind what views they have, do you?

@Quol lol I mean if you want to push for it all power to you. I don't mind. Though im guessing you definitely mind.

Not sure what your assuming but I would really enjoy the devs telling us which survivors have what political views. Let's be inclusive now.

  • Are we also going to get political affiliations too? Some might say it's not needed but we want to be diverse, right?

  • Its ok. Not useless but not good.

For it to be useful you need the hex constantly in game I can assure you that there are lots of killers that would gladly give survivors unlimited unbreakables if it means their hex stays up the entire game, me being one of them.

The other problem is you need to have an understanding between each other not to cleanse hex. That random solo survivor that finds the spicy bones will ruin it for you 100% of the time. You can do a 4 swf but then look at my first point.

And this is all based on the idea that the killer has a hex, after Ruin nerf I see more killers without hexes than with.

  • BBQ, STBFL, Nurse's and M&A

Im not sure about STBFL, it seems really powerful on him IF I can land his shots. I will need more practice to determine if it's worth the slot

  • As a survivor I want to be able to find loopable places quickly on the fly. I'm not bad at looping but there are too many times when a killer starts chasing me and I have no idea which way to the pallet and which way to the dead zone.

  • Save the best for last, BBQ and Chilli, Enduring and Spirit Fury is my go to.

Hex:Thrill of the Hunt, Hex:Devour Hope, Save the best for last, and BBQ and Chilli is my fun build. You give up protecting gens and focus on totem protection. It only works half the time but when it does it's fantastic.

  • I've faced those types of trappers, but none tried to have fun. They hook someone in the basement and turn the shack into a fortress.

  • I use it for extra BP and for dlc survivor perks. I'm still waiting for OoO and Inner Strength because I have no intention of buying survivors.

  • As a survivor it's destroying a hex totem. Especially if it's NOED.

As a killer it's sniping someone at 15m+ with Deathslinger.

  • Adrenaline. It's too situational.

Sure it might give you a timely heal while slugged or a much needed Sprint burst mid chase. But you are just as likely to get randomly exhausted at full health while the killer is on the other side of the map. Not to mention it's an end game perk and I find perks you can use throughout the match more useful.

  • Im a red rank and one thing I like to do if i see 2 survivors and I know one of them has self care is hit the one with self care then chase/down/hook the other one and go back to pick off the survivor who is inevitably self caring behind a rock.

  • Mori and keys are fun because they add an extra layer of suspence and urgency.

  • My guess is a lot of Switch dbd is imported and so there is a lot of places they can optimize performance. For example you can look at breath of the wild or even dark souls and see little to no frame rate drops despite having a lot of scenery detail. Plus a new graphics engine can really help.

Cross play isn't too hard to do. Just don't make Elm street dlc playable on switch. Or wait until the legal battle is over, add Elm dlc and then add cross play.

  • I frequently use Sloppy+Nurse's with stealth killers and SC is my absolute favorite perk. There have been so many times when I can just walk up to a self caring survivor hiding behind a rock at the edge of the map and down them. If o know a survivor had SC and I find them with another survivor I hit the SC survivor and chase the other one since I know they are out of commission for ~40 sec.

  • Demo with Devour and Thrill. I spend the match defending totems instead of gens and eventually one shotting everyone. It doesn't work half the time but the times it does work are the most satisfying thing ever, especially if I can get 5 tokens.

  • Has anyone had match making problems as survivor? As in a rank 10 survivor group going off against a rank 1 killer. Because from what I have seen (this thread an others) it's always the killer getting the short end.

Maybe it's not match making but that there are fewer killers, especially red ranks, so to avoid having red survivors wait 10 min for a red killer theyvpair them up with the closest available killer, that rank 12.

  • Yes I will, the BP boost is fantastic and will help a lot in maxing him out. Not only that Ive had plenty (most) matches where I have chased/hooked more non-tornmented survivors than tormented survivors.

  • Legion is one of the killers that depend more on the skill of survivors than you. Legion's power isn't that lethal but it is very good at slowing the game down and if survivors let themselves get slowed down by grouping up, always healing, can't avoid frenzy stab, ect you win. If they can handle it and crank out gens they win. Compared to other killers it's not really up to you and your skill with Legion but their skill against Legion.

I remember there was a guy who did one of those "I played x matches, here are the results" and legion had the most 4ks but also the most 0ks.

  • Calm Spirit. I can understand it's limited uses but I'm not talking about how effective it is in the meta. There is something wrong when you hit/hook a survivor and then don't scream.

  • I just want them to fix Laurie's hair, I don't even use her but it's always off putting so see her hair in a match.

  • I like the rust aesthetic, it might take a lot of work but it would be a cool addition.

The again a lot of things are better than MS Paint razors.

  • Yui isn't the problem. Can we talk about how despite the community saying "We want shirtless Myers" for years the devs respond with pantless Myers? It's a spit in the face for all of us cultured people out there.

  • I came here expecting a serious answer, I got something even better.

  • She isn't Nurse level but the idea of "buy a headset and get easy 4ks up to red ranks" is something I always disagreed with.

  • Bubba getting the most kills? I wonder why?

I'm also impressed Doc does so well, his rework really did a number for him.

  • Not reportable. I've left my fair share of team mates to die, ether because I thought someone else would get them or because I felt getting this gen done was more important.

  • If it's any help they are planning on updating the match making soon. Will it be a mess too? Probably. But it might actually be good.

  • Inner Strength is the other choice, it bypasses Nurses Calling, Sloppy Butcher, is faster and helps you remember to do bones.

I personally like Bond, you can find team mates to heal, to heal you, if they are on a gen or if they are being chased it's a great multi purpose info perk.

  • I hate playing against Michael because I know he 99%'d and is going to one tap me. It's also unnerving to be doing a gen and catch him in the distance doing nothing but staring.

I hate playing as Huntress because I'm just bad at throwing hatches. I can't practice as her because the couple times I tried at red ranks i got bullied.

  • I will give survivors the wiggle favor if in exchange gen grabs favor the killer.

  • Thats amazing OP you definitely got screwed over.

Although I don't think it's because matchmaking is broken but because all the killers left so the servers are trying to pair people as best they can to avoid 10 min survivor queues, of course that leads to people like you getting the short end of the stick.

  • Killer at low rank is easier because the survivors have no idea what their doing or even where they are. I can tell you that when I just started survivor I spent more time looking for gens than doing gens. And survivors are so bad at skill checks they went off like fireworks for the entire match. All the killer has to do is kill and you honestly think those potatoes can loop? They get ecstatic if they can find a pallet, which they instantly drop.

It's at high rank that things change. The non boosted ones know how to loop you for a while and if they mess up they can cash in one of their second chance perks while the others crank out gens. Survivors know where all the possible gen spawns are and almost never miss skill checks, devs had to nerf great skill checks because of how survivors would speedrun a gen after hitting multiple in a row.

And all of this isn't getting into swf, the amount of second chance perks survivors can pick from, killer being in constant stress while survivors only stress out for a fraction of the match, or the fact that survivors start off the match with a huge advantage to the point the devs pointed that out and are working on some early game event to fix that.

  • It's neat but I doubt he will be that much better. A good buff would be if he hits you with the bottle itself you won't be able to vault or drop pallets for a sec similar to doc's shock.

But the act of flipping up your middle finger has years of history behind it, used in multiple cultures as a sign of disrespect.

Dbd has been out less than 4 years and is a hot mess of balance issues. I don't see how the act of making a mistake and being punished for it, (which cannot even be in your control someones) is not worse than the killer hitting you on the hook, which as I've already said, only helps your team by giving them extra time.

Something doesn't need to have centuries behind it to be insulting. It's the intent of why you are doing it that rubs people the wrong way not the literal action itself. It doesn't matter if it's flipping someone off, teabagging, hitting the hook or even nodding all you need is a method to get your ill will across. If for example enough killers started to do a spin after a down with enough time that would become offensive because it's not the action people are looking at it's the intent.

  • Because to them It's worth the temporary ban if they can screw you out of points and not give the satisfaction of a proper kill.

  • Because how well you do in a match doesn't depend on if you escape it depends on how many gens you do, how well you loop the killer and how much you help your team mates. A killer example would be "I face camped+tunneled every survivor then mori'd them off their first hook and depipped, why?"

  • It's just another effect to diversify the list, not everything has to be meta defining, although I do agree it's a bad perk.

Personally as a killer it's the perk I find the most unnerving. I get creeped out when they don't scream after a hit/hook.

  • It's hard if you want to do it the legit way if not then you can farm it out:

    1. Kill all survivors but leave one alive
    2. Bring them over to a gen and M1 the gen
    3. Pick them up while they are working on the gen

It's always worked for me and it's my go to for any grab specific challenge, in fact I did this for the iron maiden locker challenge

  • I don't mind him. If I can get in a good loop I can find juking him fun, plus it looks pretty cool to get reeled in. Lately I've been playing him a lot so rather than being a fun killer to go against it just might be me enjoying being on the other side.

  • Each time you frenzy stab someone their deep wound meter goes down

Each time you give deep wounds to a survivor the time it takes to mend gets longer

If he misses a frenzy attack he does not leave frenzy mode

  • You won't get banned and it's perfectly fine to do, but survivors aren't too happy about being camped.

  • BBQ, Monitor&Abuse, Nurse's Calling, Sloppy Butcher/STBFL

His TR is 24m so M&A makes it 16m combined with it being a unique music makes him a surprising stealth killer not to mention how well it synergies with other perks.

Nurses Calling gives you an aura from 28m away, his harpoons range is 18m and his TR w/M&A is 16m. This means it's possible to snipe people who are healing before they hear your TR.

Sloppy Butcher works well with Nurse's Calling.

BBQ is just a great perk

Save the Best for Last at 6-8 stacks gives you a m1->shoot death combo. Its impossible to run away from unless you can los. Only down side is needing to hit your shots and building up to 6+ tokens

    See, you're not understanding.

This killer has really bad net, have you ever tried to grab the same person twice in the same animation and it fail both times? I haven't, when I fail a grab the survivor is already running away, watch the video again, he somehow manages two false grabs on the same person in the same locker, which I've personally never seen happen

From the looks of it the first grab was the special grab when you find a survivor inside the locker which stopped because the survivor was in the process of leaving the locker, and the second grab is the generic grab which stopped because the survivor already got away. Both times the server sides with the survivor because what the survivor client saw and what the killer client saw were 2 different things and the server sides with the survivor.

But that's my interpretation of it maybe there really is a bug or something fishy going on. I'm no dbd Dev.

I'll say it again incase you don't see my above reply, I know all about faux grabs, but have you ever faux grabbed someone twice from the same locker, or the same gen? I've personally never seen that, but this guy somehow faux grabbed twice on the same person with the same locker, I've NEVER EVER seen that.

It's because of latency, from what I read everyone is correct in this thread we are just talking past each other. When he tries to grab, the survivor runs away and the server sides with the survivor. It can happen 50+ times in a match someone just needs a really bad connection and a killer that wants a grab. Because as long as the survivor client doesn't see a grab the server will never acknowledge the grab even if the killer tries 100 times.

    1. Kill everyone but leave one.
    2. Down them and bring them over to a gen
    3. M1 the gen to indicate you want them to work on it.
    4. Pick them up and let them struggle off
    5. Grab them a couple times while they are working on it

It always worked for me, as survivors get the idea pretty quickly. You don't have to 3k ether but I find survivors are more willing to cooperate if they are out of options.
