That sounds more like an issue with the DBD community than FNAF honestly.
The Reddit ban wasn’t even because of the community, it was because the topics kept turning political.Because the discussion is inherently political.
When you have someone that donates to causes directly against basic human rights, the political discussion is inevitable.

True, it's been an issue in the past, but I think nowadays I see less and less pushback, moreso just jokes about the sometimes frankly silly fan theories people make for Springtrap. FNAF was banned on the reddit awhile back, but wasn't that explicitly not signed off on by anyone actually employed by BHVR and then rolled back with a swift apology wherein it was found that a select few mods would consistently rudely hop into arguments and escalate them? I feel like there was a lot going on there that wasn't really tied to the community at large but I understand, there's been a lot of Drama in the community over the years, same as DBD.
I honestly think that if the collaboration did happen, a whole bunch of people would call it the death of the game and then it'd come out and nothing would really change. Bare in mind that FNAF has evolved as much if not more than DBD has over the years and that there are a lot more adults in the community than before. I went from playing it when it came out when I was 8, and this year I'll be voting in my countries next election.
It was banned on the reddit for about a year until it calmed down.
I know that I don't really matter, but I'd leave both the Forums and game if it got added.

All you explained would apply if the animation at leasts go hand to hand with the explanation, the animation shows a whip going straight to the floor, and when it already finished the landing, stills dealing damage wich doesnt makes any sense. Players doesn't attack to the survivor in most loops, (nor me when i sometimes played nemy), they attack the wall and slide the hitbox because its not well-made.
Also you cant compare it with huntress, huntress attacks in a straight line as how its supposed to do a whip, or at least with the animation it does.
The lingering hurtbox happens with multiple Killers.

I think a Creepypasta would be fine now that Unknown is based primarily off them. Especially since stuff like Wesker and Lich already challenge what exactly makes a DBD killer a DBD killer. Slender or Marble Hornets would make for a fantastic inclusion imo.
Respectfully disagree about Five Nights. I don't think most people realize that the majority of FNAF drama is basically just Twitter weirdos, which you can say about basically any fandom, especially stuff like Stranger Things, which is already in the game.
The kids who are into FNAF for the theories don't even tend to play the games themselves, so the chances they'll ever get into DBD, a non canon collab, is minimal. That just leaves the only ones from the fandom being the people who care mostly about the gameplay and aesthetic, which I can say from experience don't really cause trouble, at least not anymore than the DBD community. As someone who's been apart of both communities since they started, I don't think there's much of a risk with the inclusion.
Considering the absolute incursion we got here when there was even the slightest sliver of a chance that FNAF could get in, I'm gonna disagree.
It was hell for a solid month here. It got so bad that the subreddit started banning any and all mention of FNAF. Maybe it's not you, but it seems to be the VAST majority of fans.

Gonna have to agree with this basekit lightborn is just deleting flashlights for killer side it would have to be something more QoL like Basekit Fireup or brutal strength
I would say like basekit Bamboozle block after a vault for 5 seconds and Brutal?
That'd be about equivalent to a 3 second DS basekit, maybe a little stronger.

What do you think of BHVR's current focus on licences that aren't entirely horror? I'd personally prefer we get some more core properties before expanding into the weirder stuff, although I do appreciate the current collaborations.
I think that Video Game horror especially could use some more reps, which is another reason why Castlevania is cool (aside from the fact it just rocks). Dead Space, Amnesia, Slender (he kinda counts), FNAF would all be pretty sweet in my eyes.
I don't think Creepypasta's are really horror in the same way that movies are.
FNAF needs to stay out of this game, respectfully. We don't need that community in addition to our own.
I'm fine with horror adjacent titles, like Stranger Things or DND; but I think that's as far as we should go.
-
I'm fine with the split we have now for licensed vs original.
I think that it would be unrealistic to expect BHVR to go after licenses that they don't expect to make a return on investment.
There are definitely certain licenses that should not be added.

Regardless it's the closest we've got to real evidence. And while yes a killer chasing someone for 5 gens and not getting them at the end is considered tunneling. Not a single person would complain about it. They would record it and post it on YouTube. Like I said people claim to get tunneled 24/7 but I almost never see it. He never sees it and all of the content creators I watch I almost never see it in their videos unless its specifically titled that way.
That's like saying, "Well, BHVR hasn't given us stats on this new patch, so these ten games where I got ten 4K's means that Killer is OP."
It just doesn't work like that.

Literally changes nothing. He said he doesn't believe people who say it and asked for proof. People even streamed for him to watch it and there was zero tunneling in it at all.
Everything I say is weird to you for some reason. And its weird of you to say I'm propping up a CC when all I'm doing is pointing to a study he did on all of us, YOU included because he made the poll on these forums. Besides my own experience and watching videos of people claiming to be tunneled have extensively proven people either A. Are lying. Or B. Have no clue what tunneling actually is.
He never differentiated between matches where the player gets tunneled or the other Survivors get tunneled.
That was literally my first huge issue with it. It asked for how often YOU get tunneled, not how often you SEE tunneling. I get tunneled, probably, more often because I'm P100 and bad. I still only get tunneled maybe in 1/5 games. Maybe. I SEE tunneling more frequently than that though.
Likewise, yes, your takes usually remind me of a less experienced me.

These are equivalent buffs: you want to protect survivors from killers' scummy playstyle, so it's only fair killers also get some protection against survivors' scummy playstyles.
It's a flashlight. If you bring Lightborn, they are literally not able to flashlight save.

I would agree for basekit 3-second DS in exchange for basekit Lightborn and Enduring.
So then one must ask, would we be removing flashlights? Because they'd serve no purpose at all.
Also, those buffs aren't equivalent. Basekit enduring is psychotic.

Tunneling and camping is waaaay overblown. Scott Jund called everyone out about lying and asked for proof and not a singular person has proved that they get tunneled or camped the majority of their matches.
I get genuinely tunneled in about 1 of every 18-20 matches and have teammates who get tunneled out or camped out in 2-3 of every 30 matches. Stop talking about it and prove it please. Stream your game however much you can so we can see this happen. I’ve never seen it, Scott never seen it and I won’t believe it till I see it.I think Scott did that for a little bit of fun, not to be taken as the word of God.
There's numerous issues with it, but even that notwithstanding, it's weird to take a CC and prop them up like that.

The temptation to tunnel is very strong when I know the odds of being remotely punished for it are so low.

That's not what straw man means lol. Also yes it should be buffed since only weak killers use it. And my last point is related because it further disproves your first point of saying it makes strong killers stronger as it clearly doesn't. So that's how its related lol.
Well, proving me wrong I guess. I had hoped you might be able to see how having 15% regression on multiple gens instantly would be a problem. I had also hoped that you might see how 5% Haste for 20 seconds could be an issue, especially considering how we just got rid of MFT because, "3% Haste is WAY too much, Killers can't counter it!!!!"
Your intention to buff these Killers by allowing them to use M1-only perks was my point. They can't use them now, which is fine, since they don't need the extra power. You, however, have decided that they do actually need the extra power and want to give them those perks, for some reason. Inconsequential? Maybe. Strange priorities? Definitely.

You think surge is stronger than Pain Rez? I guess on indoor maps it would be. And Rapid brutality is 10 seconds of haste that has 3 seconds taken away from it by the weapon wipe animation.
Actually you have a point, since it can't be used on stronger killers they should buff Surge to 15% since it's only used by weak killers. And maybe make RB 15-20 seconds.
Or you know they could make it work on everyone and not much would change at all tbh. It's not like surge is or has ever been meta lol. It's pretty much cooked now with the 8 regression limit. Oh and blights attacks count as special attacks too. So actually no strong killers would benefit at all.
Not sure what that last point is about since your whole argument was about making Surge (and other perks) work on M2's.
Surge, PR, PGTW and Grim. Fun fun fun, just what we need, more regression.
I honestly think most of your points in this reply are just strawman arguments. There's no shot you think that buffing Surge to 15% or having RB last 20 seconds is a smart move.

I still play Startstruck Nurse. I mean, it's Nurse. Even if it doesn't work it's still ridiculous. And every once in a blue moon some giga brain survivor decides to bodyblock a hook anyway.

Well rapid Brutality does work on Spirit so that point goes out the window. Her phase walk attacks work witg all M1 Perks.
I specifically said non exposure perks so your point about star struck nurse is also irrelevant.
Wesker has a heavy cooldown on landing his M2 so it wouldn’t be crazy for those 2 perks to work on him. And Chucky is 110 so again it would be beyond fine.
Anything else?
And I don't think they should.
I'm really not sure why you're trying to make strong Killers even stronger. Instead of buffing weaker Killers, you've decided that Killers that are already exceedingly powerful need to be more powerful.
Just a bit odd.
-
Nurse, Blight, Spirit, Wesker, Chucky etc etc are the reasons RB can't work on M2's.
Can't wait for Starstruck Agi Nurse to come back after we seemingly JUST got rid of her.
-
If people were gonna stop tunneling, they would've done it when Eruption got buffed.
-
He was not my first pick for Vampire rep for that very reason. Not super sure how that's gonna work.
I would've rather seen Bram Stoker's Dracula or Part 1 DIO. Both are reasonably powered, at least compared to Castelvania's Dracula.

The whole point of my post wasn't to debate whether 180 blight flicks and hug techis balanced or not but what exactly constitutes a techs removal. If 180 and hug tech were too strong on Blight then what about Oni and Wesker?
Wesker's Hug is a lot harder to do and is extremely situational. Maybe rebound?
-
180 Blight and Hug was definitely far too good.
Now, you could've made the argument that the fun/skill-expression to power ratio was fine, but you didn't.

Is the perk broken? No. Is it unhealthy for there to be perks that bypass foundational skills? Yes. Situational awareness is an incredibly important ability to posses; Windows of Opportunity both bypasses that and offers no incentive to ever learn it.

I would like to have that information

By that logic, why are there so many perks that are “easy” and not being addressed? Hell, decisive is being buffed and the condition for that perk is the survivor failing twice.
….Decisive is being buffed by going from 5 seconds to 4 seconds.
Huh, imagine that.
-
Getting a hook isn't hard and if it is, that's frankly on you barring some freak circumstances.
Pop is easy to activate because it is proc'd by normal gameplay and kicking a gen isn't exactly difficult. In a normal game, you will be getting multiple hooks. You will be able to kick gens.

Whilst my standards are high, it does seem too much to ask to have every free hit be addressed in one patch, doesn't it?
Likewise, Chucky forced unwinnable scenarios with next to no skill involved.
-
I would keep one Wesker nerf or the other, not both.
I might also make it not progress during chase.

I Don't really care, honestly.

They said lowering the graphics wouldn't do anything or something. The game is throttled by the CPU on consoles but more than enough opimised for the GPU.
Which is funny, because there's still far more intensive games hitting 60 or near 60 on Xbox One.
-
Especially with the latest patch, there has been a huge outcry from certain Killers about how BHVR is ruining the game and is out to get them.
This has caused pushback, of course. Hence the "flaming".

Chucky literally gets free hits at most tiles because of Scamper into M1.
Deserved nerf, but fair since they reduced his CD

I can only not use those perks on Blight and Billy. If I play any non movement killer 100% atleast 2 survivors will escape.
Once again, if you make a perk as good as PR Pop, it's still going to be OP on S-tiers.
Even of low-tiers, four slowdown is far too strong.

You need to lower the base-line.
If you manage to make a perk as good as Pop + PR; it's gotta be ludicrously OP.

PGTW is based off of current progress, yes.
But Pain Res regressing 20% of a gen's total progress, which also scales differently if BNP/Weaving Shadows has been used on it, because the total progress becomes 80 charges as opposed to 90.
That honestly feels like it might be DBD things because it seems logically, it should work that way but does it actually work that way?

That's about 13x the amount of escapes lol, but yes, I clearly only play Survivor.
In truth, I have a unique viewpoint. I'm a pretty average Survivor, but someone who has played Killer for the better part of six years and someone who has pushed themselves as far as they can. Dabbling in comp did me wonders and kept my interest in DBD alive for another year.

Tho I agree with you, you don't need four slowdown perks but one or two still feel require if you want a chance to win consistently on low tier killers esp if you just a average or casual player. The reason I say average or casual is I sure your come back will be "well I don't need slowdown to win my matches." I wouldnt consider you a avg player either base on how much I seen you on here and how you reply to threads. I believe you probably a really skilled killer but not everyone is as skilled as you or others and how MMR system is in this game we rarely ever go against ppl similar in skill level. DBD isn't like games like ow2 or other multiplayer games where MMR systems are finely tuned to try to pair others of similar skill sets. I have mentioned in my past posts that matchmaking has been miserable for me and is the main reason Im not playing right now since my matches have been completely one-sided(I either win at 4 gens or lose miserably with just few hooks) and not fun. Personally I have to run at least two slowdown myself, if I don't my games always go way to fast and I usually I'm lucky I get one or two hooks
Anyway I got little off topic. Imo the real issue is the fact that gap in killer strengths is to wide where multiple slowdown perks on a Freddy or Trapper doesn't feel all that bad but multiple slowdown perks on a nurse or blight is way too oppressive. That why balancing regression perks will always be the hardest thing to do in DBD and like it or not the game is balance with the idea a killer is running at least one or two of them.
I'll end this with one last thing, personally I'm fine with these nerfs since most of them are really minor. I do think pop is getting over nerf but it most likely going to be fine. My biggest complaint this update is fact killers didn't get any compensation for these nerfs. Killers didn't get any buffs to thier weakest perks or anything. Meanwhile every change to survivor perks(outside DS) was either a buff or side grade. Take BGP sure it's getting nerf to 150% but it also has it CD halved meaning you get to use it more. Some even saying it could better and stronger now. Sorry for the long reply.
Your long reply is warranted, as it is a nuanced topic. I appreciate you giving it the attention and thought it deserves.
I intentionally specified four slowdown perks. The average player, ideally, should be playing against the average Survivor. We must assume as much or else things get….very messy very fast. Realistically, you do not need four slowdowns, you should probably be bringing one regression and one perk like Corrupt or DMS; then an info or a chase perk or whatever you want to bring and I think that's totally fine.
Killer strengths do vary wildly, but I actually find that to be fairly endearing. I love playing low-tier Killers and getting good enough to win most of my matches. Granted, I'm clearly a psychopath; who else would have spent 6 years on DBD lmao, but I do genuinely enjoy playing Killers like Freddy or GF or Myers simply because it's hard-mode.
I don't think BGP is stronger now. It essentially functions as Sprint Burst, same speed and everything. The halved CD isn't gonna matter unless the Killer is stomping you, two downs in twenty seconds or less is insanely fast.

Some games are literally unplayable without some form of gen defense. Can we stop blanket calling killers "bad" who use it. That's a load of nonsense. Streamers with thousands of hours have killer games that last 4-5 minutes when they don't use slowdown, it's not because they are bad. Stop that. Its called wanting to actually play the game and have more then 2-3 chases before the game is over. You play against a 3-4 man who is efficient on gens it doesn't even matter how quick your chases are without slowdown.
Notice how I said "bad Killers will complain after having crutched on gen regression"
If you actually need gen regression, just for example, in a tournament setting, that isn't crutching on it.
If you are stacking four slowdowns to make up for bad gameplay, that is crutching on it. I did not say "all Killers who use regression are bad" and that was very deliberate, I assure you. Likewise, I specified stacking regression perks. I really don't have much of an issue with PR or Pop on their own. It's when they are used in conjunction with other slowdown perks that things become nasty and oppressive very quickly.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
Not defending the perk but it's worth noting that it also makes all regression perks weaker by being activated, much like a BNP does. That's one thing I always see left out of these debates - every single regression event a killer has is worse, now, because it's all %based regression (with the exception ironically of Ruin, which will continue to regress at 0.25c/s) - PGTW, Pain Res, Surge, even the basekit 5% on kick, plus it takes less time to undo the regression because that's %based too.
The perk is still bad, but it's a damn sight better than it was, and while the maths isn't mathing prima facie it's still worth noting that you're also weakening the Quad Regression Randy's
I thought PGTW was the only one based off of current progress?
Like yes, keeping 10 seconds of a gen is kinda neat, but it's not super significant when you could be getting hit by multiple chunk regression (or blocking) perks.
