My biggest issue with the fog vial is that it has unlimited use, and this should not be a thing, it should have charges like keys and maps.
The fog vial conceals all the hook aura. I don't mind if the fog vial can hide the survivor's aura from killer perks and addons, but when it comes to hooks, it should not do so.
killers powers are unlimited use. Once again, a double standard.
-
It’s the double standard. Each time they release a new killer we as survivors have to learn a new power, new counter play plus all of the add-ons for their power and how it changes it. We’re just supposed to figure it out and adapt. But killers won’t adapt to one new item instead they whine and complain to get it nerfed. So let’s get this right… survivors are supposed to remember 40+ different powers and counter play… but survivors get ONE new item and killers don’t like it so we’ll just nerf it out of existence? Yeah if that happens you’ve officially told survivors you don’t care about their experience and I agree with just leaving.
-
But don’t you know? It doesn’t matter how terrible the experience is for survivors. It only matters if the killer is mildly inconvenienced. Otherwise, the clown would be getting a nerf for being overturned. All you have to do is look at the fact that there’s a huge spike in people playing the clown. Why? Because it requires nothing. 130%+ movement speed for the whole game… but fog vials are the problem 🙄
-
and now we’re starting to see that the biggest problem in this game is actually content creators. They go out of their way to make ridiculous builds that 99% of people would not ever be able to pull off and people are actually using these videos as a reason to Nerf things
-
Can we close this thread please? I posted what I did when I was frustrated with connections. I’ve already stated that I figured out it wasn’t the servers. Yes the game has issues since the update, but there are places to report that feedback. This thread should’ve been over with after my last reply when I apologized for blaming the servers. Thank you.
-
@LordGlint said:
Are you and your friends playing in a SWF? Do you think your issues might be stemming from you guys living far apart?
I found the problem … accidentally. So I will be apologizing as the issue wasn’t on the game this time. I have no idea why, but my PlayStation was connecting to my building’s public WiFi INSTEAD of the WIRED connection I have with my own internet. I had only ever connected to the building Wi-Fi one time when my Internet was down for two days straight. And this was over a year ago, so I’m not sure what got changed or how in order for it to prioritize that Wi-Fi, which is terrible, over my own Internet, which is the fastest speed available.
-
I like the statistics page. I don’t know when it’s actually tracking it since though because according to the page, I have 1000 hours in the game but on my PlayStation, I can literally see that I have over 2500 hours. With that being said, when you go to recent gameplay, it uploads it like immediately. I literally just played a match and was able to see it added to the stats tracker. So regardless of when it actually started tracking this at least going forward I think it is a good thing because it lets you see the overall.
-
I mostly played them just for a change up because I’d get sick of the same maps over and over again through RNG. Though the two maps that you suggested as always being played by survivors are not maps that I really would ever play. I’d be just as likely to play Midwich and RPD as survivor as I would Ormond or Withered Isle offerings.
My entire reason for playing them was for variety not advantage. It gets boring playing Coldwind, Red Forest, and yes MacMillan maps over and over again. The only newish maps that seems to fall into the rotation with any deal of frequency is Toba Landing / Nostromo.
So yeah I really don’t like this change because RNG is basically the same EVERY time. The ability to have some variety was a good thing. I don’t think the change needed to be as excessive as it was just like everything else they’ve done. Removing the ability for it to stack was good enough to prevent SWF trolls.

After the new update, picking up and putting down an object won’t stop players from gaining AFK crows.
Survivors only need to repair for about 15 seconds to reset their AFK points. If they are hiding so much that they can’t manage 15 seconds of repairing, once every 2-3 minutes, then they probably are excessively hiding. This fails to take into account that not all survivors just need to be doing generators during the game. Some survivors go for saves, unhooks and healing or find hex totems. There’s no reason why you should be getting crows for playing the game. Here’s another thing to take into account since we get crows for pretty much everything except touching generators.
Tier 3 Mikey. The duration that his power lasts for guarantees you get a crow if he’s chasing you and you’re certainly not stopping to do a generator in this situation UNLESS he’s tombstone.
That’s just one example. But there are several killer powers and perks that either prevent you from doing generators or it is optimal to do anything but a generator because of the power.
-
The combination of “go next” prevention and the AFK crows are working TERRIBLY in tandem. Normal gameplay is being punished with crows and the fact that they are both supposed to disable in end game is showing that that’s not the case. So right now those two things are giving killers a major advantage more than anything any perk ever give them. These things were not thought out and they were not implemented well at all. You’re punishing people for playing normally and this combination cannot stand and if it does, it’s just going to lead to a reduction of players because nobody is going to stand to be punished by playing optimally. And before anybody says anything, I also want to state that I do not believe that killers should be punished for playing optimally either. Sometimes tunneling or camping is the optimal play and that should not be punished just like a survivor playing optimally should not be punished. The entire reason that we are where we are with all of this is because The people who the loudest are the ones who are listened to on both of the coin and it just leads to this game getting less and less playable.

this killer hasn't been out more then 5 hours now and already Survivors are trying to go next. I got multiple games where everyone just gave up or gave me lip over me being springtrap.
He's not even that op and there still complaining. I had 2 people DC because I did a Axe grab on them and say it's Cheezy to do that when that's his power
I don’t think he’s OP. I am tired of seeing him though. I don’t say anything about that because I expect it especially on day one. I mean you have to expect it on day one, but if it was like day 10 and that’s still all, I’m seeing and I’m not getting any other killers I would probably complain at that point. I can’t really understand people complaining on day one though like it’s expected that the new killer is be what you’re gonna see. I had one match Michael and every other single match has been against the new killer, but I’ve expected it so there’s nothing to complain about in that regard.
-
I just wanna point this out, but before the update it was to be chased for 60 seconds. I know this because I already had it completed and I’ve been tracking my progress. I think that’s why it’s not progressing past there because it’s an already completed quest that for some reason changed with the update.

I am playing it right now in custom game and there is quite a bit of a delay (seems normal) after axe throw…
So maybe some bug under specific condition? It appears to happen only on new map and during unhooks specifically. Was on Coldwind and he had a cooldown after axe throw.
-
Here is what I’ve noticed from the games I’ve played so far:
- You seem to get AFK crows even while in CHASE which is absolutely ridiculous. Who tf is stopping to do a gen mid chase?! How do I know this? See #2
- You also get crows on hook. I had 3 of them within 20-30 seconds on hook which means I was accumulating the “ points” while in chase.
Overall this addition is bad. The game isn’t just touching gens. If getting chased accumulates these points then the message is that only ONE part of the game matters.
As other people have stated, sometimes doing generators is not the optimal thing to do. Perfect example: mid game you that the killer has Hex: Devour Hope. Your main objective at this point is to find that totem. Now with having to search for it while still avoiding the killer, this can take some time. Now the game is basically saying no don’t go look for that totem or we’ll give you crows. Just stay on generators and effectively screw yourself.
As with everything that gets done to this game, there is like zero thought put into it as to how it will overall affect the health of the game.
There was literally nothing wrong with the way AFK crows worked before. What we have now is just completely ridiculous.

Wrong, I'm tired of playing survivor and having people rage quit the nano second a match doesn't go their way. As well as when they give up, insta re-queue, and just give up immediately in the next match.
I also want to remind you BHVR that I am at work and I have an emergency at home and I have to leave. I don’t get penalized for that. There is not a chance in this world that I will being penalized by a video game for having to leave for something more important than playing a video game.
Well its a good thing that the starting penalty is low for reasons outside your control, unless you constantly need to leave, in which why are you queuing for a mp game?
You had better figure it out and you’d better figure it out quick or I guarantee you’re gonna go bankrupt because nobody’s gonna tolerate this kind of nonsense from you.
They won't go bankrupt bud just because a few players are throwing a hissy fit because they can't insta quit without some kind of penalty.
I do agree that there are some players that immediately give up the minute a match doesn’t go their way.
I am on call for the building that I live in for the after hours. (After 5pm to 7am) I do have a full-time job during the day (8-5) and I am on call every other hour of the day and the weekends. Those calls can happen at any time . The idea that I just shouldn’t be able to play video games because I might have to leave because I have an obligation for something? That’s very entitled of you to think that somebody who has responsibilities outside of the world of video games might actually have to leave the video game to do something else and yes, it can happen multiple times and I have no idea when or how many times it will happen. And if you do think that I just shouldn’t play the video game because I have outside obligations, you are part of the problem. I should absolutely be able to sit down and play a video game if I want to, but I also should be able to leave that video game if I need to. Stop being so ######### entitled.
-
This is just gonna lead to a huge reduction in players. I’ve said it from the beginning and just wait. I hope everyone enjoys the insanely long wait times for lobbies. Because the only thing that this is going to lead to is, everyone is going to “go next” as in play another game. But hey., QOL right? What a joke.
-
They shouldn’t be implementing anything for it at all if they aren’t going to fully make this a team game. Right now the only way that it’s a team game is if you’re a SWF, but even then not truly.
And the single biggest fact to that is that my “teammates” do not have to survive the trial along with me in order for me to win.
By saying that going next is a detriment to the “team” you’re now saying it’s a team game. But there is no incentive to do anything for anyone else. The game in SoloQ (which is the largest base of players) has always been 1v1v1v1v1
This is why things like sandbagging happen because it’s about what is beneficial for “me” not for “you”. So why are we being forced to be part of the “team” for one aspect, but not the others? If to give penalties to people who don’t want to be in toxic games, then where are the penalties for people who repeatedly sandbag every game? If you have some technology that can detect when people are intentionally trying to get out of the match then you should be able to detect when people intentionally are constantly running the killer to somebody else to get them off of their own ass.
Plain and simple you can’t make decisions that suggest we are part of a team when everything else about the gameplay says that we are not.“But … someone giving up makes the game harder on the other survivors.”
Sure, and someone sandbagging also makes the game harder for the other survivors.
Look people have said plenty of times before this is a game and people should be able to play how they want. And if that involves removing yourself from a toxic game and get a different match, you should have the choice to do that in the same manner that someone can decide that they would like to make the game easier for themselves by making it harder for you when sandbagging. -

I think it’s burnout. So many people play another match when they shouldn’t. They keep trying to find another match because surely “this one won’t be as bad as the last one.” And that logic keeps going until your last 12 matches have been awful, and instead of just surrendering and playing something else for the day— they do it again. Kind of insane, literally, as it’s doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I speak from experience lol not from DCs or anything, but from hoping the next match will magically be much better haha. Because sometimes it is! And maybe, just maybe— this next match will be the much better one.
it’s only going to get worse. And if they continue to add penalties and increase penalties, they’re just gonna lose players altogether and you’re gonna sit and wait for 30-45 minutes in a queue to get one match.
This is what happens when a developer tries to fix symptoms rather than problems. The more that they Nerf perks and killers the smaller the pool of desirable killers becomes. People are going to run with killers that can actually pressure and so what happens is you get survivors that have gone against the same killer eight times in a row and they start “going next” because they want something different. But rather than fixing the issues with the game and making hooking worth it for killers, we’re just gonna continue to Nerf everything into the ground until we have zero people playing this game is what their answer is. -
for those on PlayStation 5, I went to settings and restored license for dead by daylight, and now it seems to be working. I don’t know if this is a fix for everyone but it’s worth a try because it did work for me just now.
-
also happening to me and I am also on PS5
-
there is a big difference between slugging four survivors and leaving them on the ground to bleed out and slugging the second to last Survivor to find the other one. The first one is unnecessary and is definitely a toxic place style. If you have all four survivors down, there’s no reason not to hook them. However, slugging the second to last Survivor to find the last one is a viable strategy. Anyone that is complaining about that is just wanting a free escape that they did not earn.

Yes people always bring up a statement one community manager for Bhvr. made years ago when the game was totally in a different state than it is now and without context. Can you give me one example of anyone banned or even warned for "not doing gens" and trying to survive as long as possible? Probably not because even Bhvr. knows it would be absurd to ban a player for doing their objective. And even if Bhvr. did decide to take the killer favoritism to new heights and actually ban a survivor player for trying to survive, I would never follow such a rule and would force Bhvr. to ban me as well. I will not be forced to give killers a free kill. I always make it a point to waste as much time of any killer who slugs for the 4k as possible since they are wasting my time with their petty "3k is not good enough" attitude.
But you are not wasting the killer’s time. You, in fact are the one wasting the time of your teammate. The killer already downed them so they are going to die regardless. When you sit hiding in a corner and you’re not going to help them up or work on generators, you are the reason they are sitting on the ground for four minutes. Not the killer, you. So anybody that’s complaining you can thank people like this who somehow think that the killer is getting a “free kill” when you still have three generators left to do. It’s actually the opposite you want a free escape that you didn’t earn and you’re perfectly fine with letting your teammate lay on the ground for four minutes in the hope that you get that free escape.
This is just a fact. Not to mention that 95% of all survivors that I’ve encountered that are hiding to wait for hatch have been hiding for the entire game and not doing anything to help the team. It is for this reason that in the event that I don’t get slugged and I do get hooked, I will do every single skill check to make sure that that other survivor does not get the hatch that they don’t deserve because they did nothing throughout the match to help the team. -

Did you say that people aren't thinking of other people's fun when they play games with other people? Is that a typo or maybe I read it wrong or something? I'm genuinely asking.
Yes, I did. You are not going to convince me that somebody loads up a game and thinks about what fun the strangers that they get paired with are having. That’s just not happening.

in my experience on both sides of the fence, the only time it EVER becomes a 90/10 is when the survivors are going out of their way to not do generators and attempting to BM the killer constantly. I have had games as survivor where my teammates decided that that was what they were going to do rather than doing objectives and then they aren’t happy when the game goes to #########.
and forget about even video games or anything else like that. We can go with the board game monopoly, when you land on a space you’re not thinking about whether another person is having fun because you bought the property they wanted. You’re not thinking about somebody else’s fun in any game you’re thinking about your own fun. Survivor mains seem to think that killers should play in a way that is beneficial for them. So as long as all four survivors are getting out, then the killer has played correctly, but if anything happens that doesn’t allow them to just do a generator repairs simulator then they classify this as toxic. So basically, if you’re not allowed to win all the time, the killer is toxic because you have some unwarranted ego that makes you think you are some god tier survivor that should be escaping almost every trial. When you are reminded that you are not as good as you think you are, your resolution to this is the claim it’s toxic. Get over yourself.
and I blame 90% of this on streamers. Not directly but indirectly. You have people watching these streams and seeing what these survivor streamers are doing and they try to replicate it and it doesn’t work out for them and because they think that by playing this set of perks that the streamer told them to they should suddenly be infinitely better at the game, when they are not, the only thing they can resort to is saying oh well, the killer played toxic. We would’ve won if they would’ve played in the way that was beneficial to us. And that in itself is admitting your skill issue. If you need a killer to play a certain way in order for you to win that demonstrates 100% that you’re not good at the game and you need the killer to basically give you the win

Why is this the only game where people talk about thinking about other peoples enjoyment when you play?
how many games of call of duty have you decided “you know what I’m not gonna kill that person on the other team because they might’ve been killed too many times already and it’s probably not fun for them.” If the answer is more than zero, you’re lying.
Mortal Kombat? “ oh, I’ve been winning too many games, I think I’ll take it easy so the other person can have fun.” Yeah that’s not happening either.
Fortnite? “Oh man I don’t wanna be the one to kill that person and have them be the first one out. They’ve only been in the game for 30 seconds. What kind of fun are they having?” Come on, give me a break, nobody thinks that way and nobody plays that way.
but yet when it comes to this game, people seem to think that the opposing team is supposed to be mindful of your fun. It’s honestly ridiculous.

The answer to bm and toxic playstyles isn't "get better."
Beyond that, if a killer wants you out of the match bad enough, they're taking you out unless you're incredible at looping. There is a question of whether they feel like getting just a 1k if you're very good at looping, but that doesn't stop the problem if the killer just feels like it.
And if you're a weak enough link on a team, there are killers who feel it's alright to make the match awful for you by selecting you for elimination immediately. Then once your match has been ruined, the whole remaining team has a 3v1 because the killer thought it was alright to do that.
The real solutions to this are implementation of anti-tunnel mechanics, incentives for not tunneling, and changing the community culture.
The only incentive for killers to not tunnel is to undo what survivor mains did to themselves. Generator regression. It basically no longer exists and so long as that remains the case enjoy your tunneling because it will not change. You guys complained about gen regression to the point where it’s not even a viable thing for the killer to do anymore. So since that thing is no longer available, the only other thing to do is chase down and kill survivors as quickly as possible to prevent the generators from being done so quickly. Until you get it through your thick skull’s that you did this to yourselves and changes are implemented to make generator regression viable again, you’re going to continue to spend your matches on the floor or being tunneled. That much I can promise you.
now, of course, tunneling and slugging will not completely disappear if we get generator regression back, but it will definitely decrease by a significant amount. Because there are plenty of killers that were not tunneling prior to gen regression being nerfed into non existence. I definitely did not see tunneling as often before the era of no gen regression.

you buffed the aura reading radius back to 12m and add the aura of the item on the ground but the perk still give infinite aura reading and the oblivious status effect so if you go grab a item to put it in one of the corner of the map the killer see you and can be following you all the way to the corner of the map without you noticing because of oblivious the perk is still really strong and some people are still abusing it with franklin. i think the perk should get the oblivious status effect removed plus a cooldown on the perk before it could show the aura again for a limited amount of time. i think the perk would be much more balanced this way.
so you don’t want there to be any risk for going to grab the item? If you want to move it to the corner of the map, that’s a risk either you’re willing to take it or you’re not. Nothing needs to be changed so that you don’t have to have any potential consequence to what you do
-
2v8 didn’t have items and most perks that get brought to make gens go even faster. Plus, there is the fact that there’s two killers and yes, there’s eight survivors, but even still. So what they did for that mode worked, and was necessary, but it will not work, and is definitely not necessary in regular mode where people have items to increase gen speed and tons of perks for it.

No one forgets that. It’s just a case of not believing it is as prevalent as killers make it out to be. I can’t remember the last match I played, even among all the calls for distortion to be nerfed, where I was consistently seeing it being run by 4 players. Whereas Lightborne consistently denies an effect to all 4 players for the entire match.
Sure, going against a flash squad is annoying and I’m fully supportive of that having a counter - but killers have a way of dodging that before the match even starts because they can see what items survivors are bringing in. Furthermore, it takes a quite well co-ordinated team to get that sort of play and I’d argue if you’re genuinely seeing them a lot you’re probably at high MMR and doing well for yourself anyway. You’re not a baby killer at the bottom rung being denied any sort of play.
Ultimately, I’m not asking for Lightborne to be gutted - just changed. Perhaps with a limit to 1 stun per march or a cool down or maybe even you can use it to save but not to blind etc. I never take a flashlight cause I suck at the timing to blind on console and they’ve got rid of things like burning the wraith/nurse /hag traps so it’ll barely affect me. But as someone above said if the devs are agreeing with killers that things shouldn’t be able to negate a whole category that needs to be consistent on both sides.
what is the whole category of perks that Lightborn is negating? Because that is not the same. It’s negating an item, one that is brought for the purpose of being toxic. And the idea that you can counter it in pre-lobby is absolutely a joke. Residual manifest x4 and the survivors don’t have to show the killer that they are going to have flashlights. The only people that want Lightborn to be nerfed are the ones that want to play the shittiest possible way. Residual manifest, flashbang, blast mine “LOL I beez da tr0ll … wait … how DARE they run a perk that doesn’t let me show off how c00l I am … NERF IT! NERF IT NOW! I need to look cool on Twitch!”
Yeahhhhhhhh no.

I've never used light borne and never had an issue vs bully squads.
The problem isn't the survivors, it's that you trained yourself to play the game with a crutch so now you don't know what to do without it. Flashlights are the weakest of the main 3 add ons and flashbangs are relatively easy to avoid, you just need to know how to.

So basically, what is being said is that you don’t wanna have to work around anything. The fact that a survivor can completely deactivate killer perks is strong enough. Now you’re complaining that it takes longer to do it that you can’t just walk around the map and effortlessly disable the killer. That’s laughable.
-
I missed question two, because I never even thought about what it was called. Ha ha. And I missed question eight just because I couldn’t remember all of them.
Well done trivia! -
Lots of fun as both killer and survivor gameplay-wise.
But it’s unplayable as killer … I mean that literally. 20 min queue … 😫 -
Not my main … but a fun niche build I thought I would share.
-Trapper
This works best on Indoor Maps but you can use it on ‘most’ pretty effectively. Some of the really large ones I would not recommend, however.
Bring the bloody coil add on. Iri stone as well just to make it better.
You can run whatever perks you want but one that you need to bring for this build is haunted ground. Anything that grants you undetectable would benefit you as well.
Set traps at both totems and defend them. Survivors love to cleanse, totems, especially hex totems. And if you are making an effort to defend them, that makes the survivors want to cleanse them that much more. Every time they disarm a trap they take a Health state. Survivors that are already injured are generally going to go for it to avoid causing a new survivor to take the health state.
Trust me, you will get several hooks from this and the pure joy when the survivors do finally get one of the totems and realize they done ######### up. It is not uncommon to get eight or more hooks before they’ve even cleansed the totem successfully. Generally, by the time they do, there’s only two survivors left and it’s pretty much good game.
-
It’s crazy how this game is not designed in the slightest for new players (mostly on survivor side). You can jump into a game like Call of Duty having never played before and have time to figure it out. DBD? Good luck, hope you have a friend to carry you.
I legit feel sorry for new players.

I’m curious as to how this killer mmr is supposed to work because… if a new killer drops, on day one you pretty much get them every match. However, based on the assumption that this is a killer that you’ve never used before you should be getting brand new players, and yet people who have been playing this game for a long time and who are in a higher bracket MMR get the new killer all day long just like everyone else.
So how does that happen? Or are we just getting the people that played the PTB and already had a week or so to figure him out? That would probably make the most sense because even my first game as Survivor on a new killer launch I’m getting people that immediately seem to know what they’re doing with the killer and there’s no way that somebody has it figured out that well on day one first match.

But what would be preventing you from abusing that system? Self regulation? Do you believe the players here can be that responsible?
We and many others here have seen what happens when the DC penalty is removed. We couldn't go 5 full matches without a DC and others have their own horror stories.
It needs to stay.
If you didn’t get the point of my post, let me explain further.
I am not advocating for the DC penalty to be removed. I am advocating for an option to block players that you do not want to be paired with again. The fact that we have a disconnect penalty and yet are forced to play with players regardless if they are cheaters, or just overall miserable people is a problem. One that does not exist in most other online multiplayer games that give you the option to not be paired with specific players again. So my point is that if you’re not gonna give us the option to block people than there should not be a disconnect penalty.
The fact that we do need a disconnect penalty is obvious and so it should go without saying that we should have the ability to not be paired with specific players. Can that be abused? Sure but who is it going to hurt? If somebody just blocks everybody when the game doesn’t go their way eventually they’re gonna have so many players blocked that they won’t be able to queue up for a game. So I think that would work itself out.

You come off as someone that rage blocks everyone that doesn't play exactly how you want them to.
Do killers get to disconnect for free in this system?
You make a lot of assumptions. I don’t advocate for things to be one way for survivors, and a different way for killers, the same would be for all.
And if I’ve played in a lobby with a cheater, and I get the same person again, I should be able to make it so that I don’t have to play with that person again. You also make the assumption that the killers are always the ones who are the cheaters I’m encountering. I’ve had SoloQ teammates who were cheating and it just ruins the entire game, and I don’t want to have to play another match with them. They might find it funny to have Dwight flying around the map, instahealing and teleporting, I do not. And my choices are either go next or disconnect for a penalty rather than being able to not play with that person again.

Removing the DC penalty would essentially turn the game into PvE in a matter of weeks.
There is also no option on the PC side to prevent getting into a lobby with the same players again.
The only thing you can block is a person sending you friend requests and that's it.PVE would be better than being paired with people that you don’t wanna play this game with, and basically being forced to play the game with cheaters/toxic players or take some ridiculous penalty.

I think it's a problem if people are playing games with other people and they don't care how the people they're playing with feel. I struggle to imagine how people would want to play the game with people who tunnel and camp regularly. Same with any kind of taunting or bully squad tactics (to ensure a fair set of views).
I mean, if I had four people over to my house and we all played this game in the same room for fun, I'd expect them to not want to play the game anymore if I just kept tunneling out the weakest link. That would probably lead to me running against a 3v1 most of the time, and getting easy wins, ensuring that the game isn't fun for four out of five people playing. They'd probably see me as a bully and want to do something else so everyone could enjoy something.
It's possible to play competitively and simultaneously make sure everyone involved has fun while it happens. I personally don't think it's alright to be mean to people in online games just because it's possible to do. And tunneling is almost never fun for the person being tunneled, and is a cheap tactic to tilt the game in the killer's favor.
so what are you suggesting that killers just throw every game so that all four survivors get to be in the game till the end and then escape? That sounds pretty mean to me. It almost sounds like you don’t care about that player’s feelings.

Update: Now it says that I have no Internet connection. And then when I restart it again, after that, it says cannot connect to store. So I’m just getting all kinds of different errors.

Not necessarily.
There is a reason this game is built around multiple chances. It is fun to get back into the game (and to help others get back into the game). When games last longer and have multiple opportunities to play, they are more fun. This is why many competitive multiplayer games moved toward respawn formats (such as point based TDM, capture the point/flag, reboot/revive) or have multiple elimination rounds in quick succession, so that even if you are eliminated you don't wait long to come back.
Sure, some people complaining just want to win and nothing else, but you can't hand-wave away a lot of valid complaints about loss of agency. If I get chased by a nurse like this one here who decides to camp like this, I get one chase, maybe 1 minute or less if they are really good, then I spend 140 seconds on the hook, then back to lobby, etc. I have very few chances to interact with my teammates and the killer. If I go against a nurse who doesn't play like this, I might get another one or two chases in before dying, which is just objectively more fun. Not to mention, all 3 of OP's teammates are encouraged by the game to sit on generators and NOT go for killer interaction or altruism, which is also boring.
Even if survivors 3 man escape against a proxy camping killer by playing optimally, you can't tell me that their complaints of the game being boring are just them just wanting 4 man outs every game. Doing gens all game and avoiding a camping killer with zero interaction is not that fun.
By the way, this brings me to the point of what the actual problem is and why solo queue is so painful for so many players. You can’t force anybody to be a team player. That’s the reality of it. There is no game mechanic that you can create that’s going to make someone be a team player if they don’t want to be. The answer is not to buff individual survivors though, because that creates an unstable situation in a game where you have four versus one whether or not the four are working as a cohesive unit is irrelevant. It is still one player against four.
This was an issue in Friday, the 13th, Texas chainsaw, and every other asymmetrical horror, survival game. The only way for anyone who is complaining to fix this is to do what I’ve done in Friday the 13th and what I’ve semi-done in dead by daylight. Find randoms that are good and you’ve had good games with and add them as friends. Try to get players that you know you can depend on and this won’t be so much of an issue.

If you are the first hook and your teammates are not making the effort to save you or trade, if they have to, then this lies in the fault of your teammates you shouldn’t just be given a free pass. You got caught, it sucks yes. But this is where the four verses one comes into play you have three people that are capable of removing you from the hook so that you have your agency again. The fact of the matter is in a game, where it is four versus one, one of those four people is going to be the unlucky one that gets got first. You don’t have to like it but that’s the reality of it. And the game shouldn’t be changed to make you equal to the killer when there are four of you.

Ive never understood this "you paid for it, you can do whatever you want!"
If I buy a ticket to go to the movies, doesnt mean I can talk loudly and be a disturbance to everyone else.
trying to tell someone else how to play their game is the equivalent of going to the movies and talking loudly and disturbing everyone else. You just don’t like it when the other people in the movie theater (killers) tell you to be quiet.

The fact that you have people complaining that they’re not able to do something the entire game if they’ve got caught and hooked or slugged or whatever is ridiculous. It’s entitlement. It’s an elimination game. One person is going to have gameplay mechanics taken away from them as a CONSEQUENCE of being caught. To complain about that is laughable.
And I will tell you right now that when I get hooked, I’m not thinking about the fact that I can’t do generators or I can’t cleanse totems or whatever else. This is about the fact that you don’t like to lose. That’s it plain and simple all of this agency being taken away and you unable to do things and not have fun is a strawman argument for the fact that you are a sore loser.
Never once at any time that I have been hooked, have I sat there and thought about how the killer has ruined my game because I can’t do generators or cleanse totems. When you are on the hook, the only thing that you are pissy about is the fact that you are losing. And every single one of these threads that pop up about this needs to be changed and that needs to be changed because we should be able to have fun, all you are saying is you need to make it so that the survivors can win all of the time. All four survivors should be able to play 100% of the game and screw the killer. No that’s not how it works. You get caught you get hooked or you get left on the ground. That’s the consequence of losing the chase. The game nor your opponent owes you anything.
