I think Clown is the worst killer but stealth killers in general are not that enjoyable to play due to how popular Spine Chill is now.
-
DC penalties for survivors shifts the problem to them dying on the first hook, so yeah it is pointless in that sense. I suppose it stops the killer disconnecting, but I've never seen a killer disconnect as a major inconvenience, it is always the survivors that disconnect ruining a game only now they can exit on the first hook and the rest of us still have to suffer through the rest of a one sided game.
-
I don't see a problem adding a colorblind mode. I see streamers (some of them fog whisperers) all the time using reshade to give an advantage in spotting survivors/the killer, so why care about a colorblind mode in the name of abusing the system? It is already being abused by the supposed champions of the DBD community.
-
I think the devs have nerfed pop in the wrong way. It will make no difference for killers that can traverse the map, so for Freddy (which is where I see pop the most), absolutely no difference at all. They should have given the perk a 45 second cooldown.
-
I take Spine Chill all the time now, it does make stealth killers kinda lame and I doubt BHVR will change it but it would make for a much more interesting game is Spine Chill didnt exist.
-
Compound twenty-one is still too powerful for a green addon after the nerf. Why would you take other addons over this? You wouldnt, and it is common enough in my blood webs to take on almost every game. An addon this powerful should be a rare or ultra rare.

Again with this... its a 15k cash prize and players actually wanna win... players can have fun while also competing...
What does the prize money have to do with the tournament not laying down any rules to encourage more variety in play? Nothing. It could be 1 million and nothing is stopping them from establishing rules in a tournament.
-
I turned it off when I realised everyone has going either Spirit or Nurse and I assumed at that point everything goes, meta builds, best perks etc. Why do people bother hosting tournaments like this? Put rules in that prevent each team playing the best killers, equipping the the best perks, basically do it like tydetyme did back in the day. His tournaments were the best, definitely the most entertaining and forced teams out of their comfort zones.

No. You can't refund chapters. I wish you could, however.
I would still try. I've got refunds on DLC for some games on Steam.
-
I got that from looking at the PTB and streams today. A lot of why he is frustrating to play is because the player has to unlearn that bumping into things is bad, but I think that maybe too much of an ask for the results you get. I think his weapon is underwhelming as well.
-
Isn't he trying to get 50 wins in a row with all killers? Not surprised with Hag, she is one of the best designed killers + Otz skills and he will win most games.
-
Can someone at BHVR please get their act together and look at this issue? Someone at DBD support just sent me a message saying "here is 250k BP for the sync errors" and marked the case as "solved".
Nothing about this case is solved, all my progress is still wiped and I cant gain new perks in the blood web for my survivor.
Now I have to create a whole new case because no one at DBD support actually read my error description, didnt look at my logs? They have done nothing but treat this as a standard sync error case.
The case number is #575527.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS!?
We complain about BHVR not fixing things and we are told to get in touch with support, support has completely failed to do anything with this case at all and now marked it as solved.

i lost way more points than 250k sadly.
I am sure BHVR will review additional compensation requests when the errors are resolved.

I lose my progress sometime ago too , when i sent a ticket to customer support they asked me for some info about my account then at 2 or 3 weeks i logged into my account and i had a lot of bloodpoints to recover my progress in the game , so probably u just have to be patience they give u the bloodpoints when they can confirm u lost ur progress and how many hours u have in the game.
Anyway i hope they solve ur problem as soon as possible =).
It seems like a common issue though, common enough to be on the support database so you would think BHVR would have more standard advice/comms on what I can and cannot do during their investigation. Is it okay to carry on playing? Should I leave my account alone, not play until it is fixed? Will I get my stuff back or do I get BP? They have offered nothing at all, just that they are looking into it.
They could do a lot more than radio silence for weeks and then one day I log on and see my BP. I can't help but think I would be treated a lot differently if I was a DBD streamer with this issue.
-
Will this patch get all my lost progress back? If I stand a chance at getting my progress back, count me in.
Just to be clear, my account has regressed 2-3 years in progress, I've lost almost everything I had after this error.
-
11 days and still no solution from BHVR.
I think they may have piled this in with all the other sync error tickets, not realising I have actually lost all my progress, prestige, perks, addons etc?
-
When you teleport to a triggered trap you should always be facing the survivor. If you are not or they are far away when you teleport, it could be your addons are triggering the trap when the survivor gets within a certain radius of it, and not when they are actually stepping on it.
-
Old Billy had amazing map presence at no cost, one hit down spammable power at no cost, no thought needed for power resource management, at all. He wasn't balanced when compared to how other killers are designed, which is why he was nerfed.

Have you opened a costumer support ticket about it? They'll help you as best they can. https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us
Thanks, I did. They are currently investigating.
-
For killer: at the start of the game, for X number of seconds, all pallets and vaults furthest away from the killer are blocked. Basically, it is like Corrupt Intervention but it shuts down loops at the start of a game.

They said in the Q & A dave's practicing it for the next episode :)
Good! All he needs to do is watch how Liam and Noel Gallagher speak, they have strong manc accents. I know that is bad of me to say being a manc myself but Americans sometimes seem to think everyone in England sounds either like a london cockney or uses the Queen's English. If all he does it study Liam and Noel Gallagher, he will be set. Maybe drop the John Bender look as well, I can live with the long hair.
-
David King isn't American, he is English, from Manchester. Could you not at the very least get the accent right? you ignored me on his look, which was a joke tbh, he looks like John Bender from the Breakfast Club, but an American accent as well?
-
Real killers would be crossing a line. I would like a part of Victorian London as a level, just make the killer Jekyll and Hyde.
-
Solo survivor is messed up now, either go with a full SWF or don't bother. The new system will keep matching you with new players to the point where you will keep losing because all it takes is one bad survivor hiding behind a tree all game to throw a game Vs a high rank killer, because that is the matchups I keep seeing. The new MM system will slot you in with them for good eventually, because you won't be winning many games while it is calibrating.
I've been ignoring rank and checking profiles to see what the survivor game time is. I'm a high rank killer being matched with survivors with just over an hour total game time.
-
Maybe he should have a hammer? Good skin, but kinda lame they didn't give it a unique weapon.
-
I don't think th Devs have ever called them Paragraphs. They are ways called Chapters, regardless if it is a map + killer + survivor or if it is just a killer only.
-
A single player option where you could farm BP as killer or survivor would be a mistake. Having bots as a fill in for dropped players is fine though. Friday 13th's single player turned into an exp farming mode, I wouldn't exactly say the mode worked.
Story mode with one off BP rewards would be different and interesting, but the devs should avoid anything that would allow players to farm BP from bots continuously because if that existed it would be very popular and would mean less games in the matchmaking pool.
-
Whispers is always useful. Yeah it can be vague but you don't really need it to be accurate if you are experience using it. It can also save you a ton of time when approaching lit totems/generators/jigsaw boxes; you will know if a survivor is there when you get into the 32m radius, saving you some precious time if they are not.
-
Something is missing, ah I see it, they should have a tagline at the bottom that reads:
"You are in for one hell of a grind!"
-
Nightbreed 1990
Killer: Dr Philip K. Decker
Survivor: Aaron Boone (could have a Cabal cosmetic)
Map: Midian

The Ritual 2017
Killer: The Jötunn
Survivor: Luke
Map: Cultist camp seen near the end of the film

I'm on a break for a bit, ever since the second rift I've been getting more and more burnt out when the rift ends. I am not hopeful rift 4 will be any better, it seems the devs want to grind us into the ground.
-
Even in a perfect world if the game ran without any bugs, server was fine 24/7 and every disconnect was the users fault, the disconnect penalty would still only solve the problem of killers disconnecting. On paper it discourages disconnects for survivors but not really, it turns those disconnects into suiciding on the first hook, which has the same result as a survivor disconnecting for the remaining three left in the game.
As for the player count dropping I have my own theories. As well as the general server issues, phantom hits etc. I think the devs have got greedy with the rift system and it has become a grind. It is very easy to burn out on it if you don't live and breath this game. It is clear what direction the devs are taking the rift in and it isn't a fun one.
-
You sound like a naive person to think that in any multiplayer game there will be no balance made to characters that you personally invest money into.
It is a major nerf but let's be honest here who wasn't expecting this? Why are hillbilly players acting surprised?
Look at every other killer, how they are designed, how their abilities will come with a cooldown or some other kind of penalty or limitation and then look at the hillbilly as he is now and ask yourself what is wrong with that picture? Can you honestly say that hillbilly is fine as he is compared to every other killer?
I for one I'm sick of starting games with hillbilly, hearing him run around with his chainsaw throughout the entire game with no penalty at all. I welcome these changes because it finally brings a hillbilly down to the level of all the other killers and as a hillbilly player you should be welcoming more complexity to what is probably the easiest killer in the game.
-
The current hillbilly is brainless so any change in the direction of him not being able to spam his power would be an improvement.
-
The first rift I was able to complete the tiers by just doing the tome challenges but since rift 2 it has got way harder. Let's face it, BHVR are trying to encourage the buying of tiers.
In rift 2 I got to tier 65 doing the challenges and a lot of gameplay on top, with three days left to go and I couldn't get to tier 70 without buying them. I have life commitments and I can't spend more than 3 hours a day on DBD which imo is a fair expectation for any game. Rift 3 is the same deal but this time the challenges themselves are even more grindy.
There is no other way to frame this, BHVR want us to buy tiers because buying the rift itself obviously isn't good enough for them. I doubt their greed will be kept in check anytime soon unless more players speak up about it.
My solution is to have the whole rift completable by just doing the challenges, scrap earning rift points through gameplay because that makes it impossible to measure what reasonable progress is.
-
I've seen one on Haddonfield. On some maps neither killer or survivor can find them and that is the problem with the RNG spawning, it doesn't seem to be programmed to spawn in the vicinity of a player, just random. This event has been less than enjoyable.
Having crowns rewarded on completion of gens and on certain hooks would have been better and would still have satisfied BHVRs need to keep the player addicted/constantly playing.

Does not work like the trivia says. I asked a survivor and he got only 22k BP, even he was the last survivor and they played pretty good.
Maybe that survivor was only looking at the last summary page, it only shows the raw numbers you earned in the game not including any bonus BP.
-
Hag is definitely bugged. I just had another game, claimed the crown but this time during the EGC and I got the 500 points "crown claimed" but no crown in the cosmetics.
Edit: It's not bugged lol, I found it!
-
I did a hag game where I 100% claimed a crown but it disappeared near the end of the game (the effect at the sides of the screen disappeared). The event trailer does imply there is a time limit for killers after they claim the crown, to finish the game but they haven't detailed anything at all on how this event actually works beyond that trailer.
-
Your PSA doesn't detail how a killer can lose a crown, which I did in a Hag game. I claimed it near the start of the game but the glow dissipated until it eventually died. I got a 4k but no crown cosmetic at the end. What did I do wrong, is it a bug?
-
It must be a bug, the perk description says the effect of the perk is on hold if you are disabled, it doesn't say anything about a hook.
-
RE: the button mashing on the second hook. I've seen so many streamers activate a macro on their second hook and brag about it, so I think the skill checks on a second hook would engage more players in that sense. I bet a lot of players use macros to get out of button mashing.
-
I agree the downstairs on that map is too dark. I don't mind it being that dark in certain places, for example in the freezer rooms but the lighting in general is really bad.

We wanted to go with a different take on him.. with the whole story we have/ (The Entire Script) I think people will like this fit and enjoy it more..
Let me put it this way, David King is one of the characters BHVR got so right I suspect one of their dev team is from Manchester. His look and tone in the game is exactly how some people in Manchester are including the names of his perks. For example "no mither" is something we actually say here and there is no way BHVR could have known that unless someone on the dev team is from here or has at least visited here a few times.
So to see David's look Americanised is jarring. It doesn't matter how your script explains the look, he looks nothing like a mancunian, nevermind a Manchester hard man. I think this look needs to change unless you are making an 80s comedy set in the states. Stay true to the character like you have with the others.
-
I don't think David would go from short hair to long hair and people in Manchester would never wear gloves like that outside of a gym lol (I've lived here my whole life) . Tbh he looks more like John Bender from The Breakfast Club than a Manchester hard man.
-
I think DBD would make a good movie, something like Cabin in the Woods in tone.
