They do not. Most of the people complaining about X, Y, or Z character being “mistreated” or “not receiving enough cosmetics” aren’t actually interested in buying or playing that character. They just pretend they are.
Which is why those characters don’t receive as much cosmetics. Because there simply isn’t a real demand for them.

Not really digging any of the Survivor finalists and that's honestly just disappointing as there was some really good ones.
I liked Gabriel's and that was it… No hate to the artists but most of them were meh to me.

What was wrong with it?
-
The consequences of leaving Skull Merchant in her current state for over a year would be far more detrimental for the game, which BHVR is clearly aware of given the upcoming changes. She's a scourge on DbD idrc.

Same. It's a massacre every match I've played. I have no idea how people are finding this survivor sided.

A killer sided mode?
You mean the one where:
- Gens are 20% faster, despite the fact the killer has no access to gen defense?
- Basically basekit OTR, so now you get your anti-tunnel perks for free.
The game is balanced around killers bringing gen defense perks, and last time this mode was out it was a complete joke when you went against even halfway decent SWFs, you just need discord and you are good to go on this mode.
you just need discord and you are good to go on this mode.
Therein lies the problem. The overwhelming majority of the playerbase are solos and duos.
-
They've had so long to work on this. Why is Freddy not playable again?
-
Huntress just got a slew of buffs. What more could they possibly give her?
-
I made a thread about this the other day as well as bumped a pre-existing one. Every time we get a new patch I trawl through the patch notes hoping it'll have been addressed and every time I'm disappointed.
REALLY starting to lose hope that this will ever be fixed :/

Agreed entirely.
-
All of them are suitable picks but I think Tinkerer's the most versatile of the bunch so I'll give my vote to that. It doubles as a stealth and information perk whereas the others are more linear in the value they provide.
-
None of them are anywhere close to good unfortunately.
Bloodhound makes tracking harder because you can't use the fading of blood pools to determine how recent they are as easily.
Predator is much the same, making scratch marks harder to see in most cases.
And Shadowborn is not even worth discussing.
-
Not a great build to be honest.
Too dependent on map size and survivor experience level. On big maps, survivors will be out of your terror radius for a lot of the game and so Unnerving Presence and Coulrophobia aren't going to be doing much. And even in situations where survivors are in your terrror radius, these perks will only get as much value as the survivors allow them to. That is to say, if the survivors are apt at hitting skill checks, these are going to do very little.
Agitation is the only one of these perks that synergises well with Trapper's power, as it gives you more freedom to hook in spots that you've secured or can secure with traps easily. The rest, I'd drop.
-
EAC has always been a thorn in this game's side. It does very little to prevent actual cheaters but regularly causes issues.
This patch is no exception. The time it takes to initalise EAC is much longer than previous for reasons unknown.
-
My main frustration is Flashbang. I keep walking into them because there's NO noise when survivors are dropping them round a corner or something. Very annoying.
-
Killer and a map probably. It'd be foolish of them to tease FNaF in the way they did and then only deliver cosmetics. Personally, I'd prefer it to just be cosmetics (I hate FNaF) but I don't see that happening.
-
None of them are worth running.
Moment of Glory: 2 chest searches and 60 seconds per health state is horrendous. It's outclassed by almost any other healing perk. And if you're looking to heal up mid chase, a medkit + syringe is much quicker, more reliable, and doesn't take up a perk slot.
Exultation: A cool effect but not actually useful in most matches. Medkits don't differ much between rarities and so aren't worth upgrading. Upgrading a toolbox past Commodious is also not worth it. Keys and maps aren't worth bringing at all so count them out. And that leaves flashlights as the only item worth running with this perk. As for getting more charges from items, there are other perks that do that better and more reliably.
Eyes of Belmont: The aura reveal on generator completion is nice, but the +2 duration is a bit of a noob trap IMO. Running multiple aura reveal perks is wasting slots.
-
Vigo's Shroud has always been pretty underwhelming to be honest, irrespective of map size. Should definitely be reworked.
-
WoO is one of the most inoffensive things a survivor can run.
-
Oh Potential Energy. How I hate to see this perk in solo queue.
It's a shame because Potential Energy can be pretty effective when used correctly but like you said, noone seems to understand how the perk actually functions.

Killer is objectively in the strongest place it's been since I started playing.
Maps are smaller, loops are weaker, base regression is better (5% instant regression and no gen tapping), base chase mechanics are better (multiple buffs to action durations).
Average Kill rates used to sit at around 50%, now they're at 60%.
I'm not saying killer is OP, on the contrary I think killer is actually in the most balanced place it's ever been after years of the game being generally more survivor sided.
And yet despite this, killers still camp and tunnel.
Right?
I've been playing since launch and there's legitimately never been a better time to play killer than now (aside from the gen kick meta of course). I can't understand how people are arguing that killer is in a rough spot right now.
-
Very good for the most part.
The only dissatisfaction I have is that they didn't get someone closer to the original when they changed Jonah's voice actor. I've always found it jarring.

I think your replies no longer merit an answer apart from this one to spell it out for you since you're clearly thinking I'm going to entertain that discussion further.
By saying thing like "killers play efficiently because it's an easy way" or bringing up killrate statistics in a game where people casually throw and give up without trying you've discredited your position so much to me that I dont think anything more needs to be said.
I established my point and I believe you're fundamentally wrong in your understanding of even more basic things than the actual subject of this discussion that I dont see the reason to argue with you any further as it would be an even bigger waste of ours time than such discussions normally are.
So, as per my last reply, Im wishing you a good day and please don't bother me with this discussion anymore.
That's a really long-winded way to say you don't have any valid rebuttal.

>Killers tunnel because it's the path of least resistance to a win. Not because it's necessary. Not because slowdown is nerfed. Not because of anything else. Simply because it's easy.
lmao, have a good day.
There's no way you unironically think tunneling is necessary for a win. In modern DbD? Where even the average killrate is almost 60%? That's absurd.

and im bored of people saying killers should win with fairplay in a game not balanced around that. or asking the game to be lobotomized whatsoever just so they get even more artificially equal games.
also, saying killers "always camped, tunnelled, yadayada" is such a black and white take. it's a fact that the stronger slowdown options were, the less likely killers were to resort to these strategies because they could win without them.
multiple people spelled it out for you: quantity of "unsavoury strategies" reduces proportionally to the quality of slowdown options available, especially the ones that encourage "savoury strategies". If you want to focus on people still feeling the need to play like that, then you miss the entire point.
People will always camp, tunnel, slug and protect gens for as long as the game is designed around downing people, stopping to pick them up, put on a hook up to 3 times to kill them, while not letting survivors complete an exponentially growing difficulty objective.
You won't force all people to play fair unless you fundamentally change the core design premise of this game and make it so the optimal play is playing fair. But I assure you, if that happens, you'll come to sorely regret that, because you'll get rid of the optional skill expression killers can apply when survivors they finally got arent playing like concussed seals.
The dishonesty of it all.
Killers tunnel because it's the path of least resistance to a win. Not because it's necessary. Not because slowdown is nerfed. Not because of anything else. Simply because it's easy.

Player issue is lacking basic empathy and understanding the opponent wants to win and will do everything they can within reasonable effort for them to win.
As for game/perk issue, the more devs nerf slowdown options that allow killers to comfortably play without resorting to these strategies for longer, the more often and earlier killers will start apply the main strategies to apply pressure. Pretty simple thing.
If killers dont feel like they can spread hooks with nerfed slowdown anymore, they'll start using other means of pressure.
On contrary, killers won't be allowed to just have powerful regression that allows to throw game sense out of the window and play the game like pure 1v1 because when that's possible, survivors have to both get rolled in every chase until it doesnt matter if they last for a while and be unable to keep up. Doesn't sound like fun either.
"Unsavoury" strategies are the necessary evil here. The only part about them that needs to be regulated is getting rid of the ability to mindlessly apply them in every possible situation which devs have been doing successfully so far.
the more devs nerf slowdown options that allow killers to comfortably play without resorting to these strategies for longer, the more often and earlier killers will start apply the main strategies to apply pressure. Pretty simple thing.
SO beyond bored of this narrative. Killers have camped and tunneled in EVERY single meta and state of balance this game has ever had irrespective of necessity. There's never been a time when camping and tunneling wasn't a common occurrence.
In fact, killer behaviour seems to be at its worst during the times the deck is already stacked in their favour. Case and point, this year's anniversary event. It wasn't enough that the event abilities and most of Tryks's tricks favoured killers, but the camping, tunneling, and slugging was absolutely off the charts.
-
Killers use unsavoury strategies regardless of how much the current meta favours them or not. It's a player issue, not a perk one.
-

Not sure what solo queue has anything to do with a specific killer being half decent. Dracula doesn't even have any mechanics that affect solos disproportionately.
Agreed. I'm failing to see how anything Dracula does would hurt solo queue more than a SWF. He's a pretty well-designed killer on that front.

Not especially. Supermassive’s games have steadily declined in quality since Until Dawn. The Dark Pictures anthology is enjoyable enough but each game has flaws that are hard to overlook compared to their predecessor.
I’m REALLY hoping TCoFS is a return to form for Supermassive but after MoM, LH, HoA, TDIM, and TQ all being mediocre, I’m keeping my expectations managed.
Not to mention, that everything DbD has slapped its branding on aside from the base game has also been middling. Hooked on You was a disappointment for everyone expecting an actual dating simulator and What The Fog was just terrible on all fronts.
-
Still waiting on Billy Coen as a legendary ;(
-
Vampire form: Decent. Hellfire is usuable at most of your average loops although can be a little confusing regarding what it does and doesn't hit through. This is mostly a case of DbD having janky collisions and less of an issue with the power itself. Of all the mid-range M2 attacks in the game, Hellfire is definitely the coolest-looking one which may bias me towards it a little though.
Bat form: I actually like and think is underrated. The teleport is really nice for traversing the map, especially with Winged Boots. Being able to teleport to second-storey windows and bypass stairs feels great too. The stealth component is pretty bad though — probably the worst in the game actually. The bat noises are SO loud and not being able to see survivors is a pretty big downside that I'm not convinced is warranted given he can't attack in bat form.
Wolf form: HATE. I literally never use this in a match. The pounce is awkward to use and movement as the wolf just generally feels off. And that's not mentioning that you can't walk backwards properly as the wolf for some reason? This one also just confuses me. I'm no hardcore fan, but I've played/watched some Castlevania over the years and I don't ever remember Dracula being a wolf? Maybe I missed some games or something but wolf mode seems like an odd choice to include for me. I sort of don't get it.
-
Most of the pallets on this map are garbage and it always spawns a nasty 3 or 4 generator setup in the centre of the map. It's one of those maps that's not very fun or fair for either role.
-
I’d be down for this. There’s a lot of locations I’d still love to see in DbD, both licensed and not. Now that you mention CoD, it’d be so neat to have Origins, Buried and Tranzit in the game.
I agree with Aven_Fallen though. I don’t think there’s any way they could turn a profit on this so seems like it’d be an unnecessary money sink. -

Way I see it, it doesn't really matter to me what a survivor's sexuality is, because they're going to get stomped to death by a perverted fat clown, among other really brutal and terrible ways to die, no matter who or what they are.
I'm LGBT but, speaking solely for myself, I don't care much for representation. Would it be nice if there was a character that shared my traits? Sure, I guess, but this is a horror game, so such things are not very important to the themes of terror and brutality. And more importantly, for anyone to accuse BHVR of not caring about the LGBT community is straight-up laughable.
I'm LGBT but, speaking solely for myself, I don't care much for representation.
I'm the G in LGBT and also don't really care for it. I don't feel any particular affinity towards playing a character based off of their sexuality alone.

Haha, this has to be a joke.
No offense, but BHVR has been catering to the LGBTQ community much more than you give them credit for. One could argue it's overwhelming how much support there is.
I'm all for people being safe from threats, violence or hate. But you have to be ignorant to believe BHVR hasn't been specifically catering towards LGBTQ members, women and black people.
Watch any chapter reveal that happened recently. There are no big streamers like Hens, Otz, Scott, Ayrun, or anything.
All of the people, especially in the 2v8 reveal were either non-whites, women, trans people or drag queens.
Trust me, BHVR has been and always will cater to LGBTQ, don't worry. And there's nothing wrong with that.
What the issue is, is that they're prioritizing being diverse over contributions.
Watch any chapter reveal that happened recently
It’s very obvious they’re picking people based upon characteristics and anyone saying otherwise is just being wilfully ignorant. The content creators BHVR promotes do not represent the actual demographic of this game’s top content creators.
Not saying I’m against it. I’ve found some great content creators from BHVR’s streams, but the trend is noticeable.

It's horrendous. How this was allowed to hit the live servers is beyond me.

Allegedly it's an issue with EAC and the developers don't know if they'll fix it.

Ok, so.
Can you explain, are you absolutely certain that reshade does not fit that category?
- It is a 3rd party software or "other tool"
- i think you would agree with this
- Does it "gain any kind of unfair advantage that wasn't intended by the game and is not whitelisted"
- Give the topic of discussion it would seem that such a program IS NOT whitelisted
- Literally in the next sentence they explain what is whitelisted by saying: "We are not banning the use of communication apps"
- Can you show me any official source other than this post that shows in the next sentence that filters are whitelisted in any capacity?
- Does it or does it not provide some kind of advantage over players not using it?
This is textbook sealioning at this point.

It's pretty evident 🤷
People who are concerned over accessibility don't celebrate the removal of a tool that was used by the visually impaired to even the playing field without compensatory measures being added to the base game.

Sure, like i said, maybe it doesn't work for you, that is fine and understandable, but can you understand that the devs should instead add this as something that fixes it for ALL players instead of just expecting players to download a 3rd party program? You should be petitioning the devs to fix this problem for everyone.
Again, explain why the same logic doesn't apply to people who are deaf and hard of hearing and using cheats to see survivor auras for example.
You should be petitioning the devs to fix this problem for everyone.
We are and always have been. You just wouldn't know that because you don't actually care about the issue.

Please finally release NVIDIA Freestyle again and talk to EAC. I sincerely ask you
