Nurse has disappeared from red ranks because all the previous nurse players who were used to an overpowered, overtuned killer feel jilted even though she is still the best, possibly second best killer. If this cooldown is all it takes to make the nurse go from super fun to super boring, it sounds to me like you are not being truthful to yourselves. She isn't overtuned anymore. And that's why all those previous nurses aren't using her.

The Nurse is still the strongest killer in the game on PC. Her kit now feels much more balanced and fun to play. She has been considered to be the most OP killer in the game since her release. She obviously is going to feel weaker after a nerf. She is just less OP than she was.
If you had never played the Nurse before this nerf, and put time in to learn her, you would think she was OP compared to all the other killers. You don't think she feels as fun now because you have experience playing her when she was stronger.
This is exactly what is happening. If nurse had never been added to the game and the next killer announced was this version of the nurse all the players complaining right now would be happy that they "finally have another viable killer in red ranks". It's so absurd that it is funny.
-
Dead Hard (if they ever fix it) and decisive strike.
Bamboozle - for most killers it will help you several times in every single game you play. That's pretty darn useful.
Whispers - not nearly as useful as people think.

Another whiny nurse main . As said above - adjust to changes . I honestly think that old Nurse spoiled far too many players back in a day . Devs shouldn't have created her to begin with .
Exactly. For too long was nurse the best in every single thing a killer needs to be good at - map presence, potential to end chases quickly, snowball potential, ability to punish even the tiniest of survivor mistakes or misplays.
It shouldn't have taken this long to nerf her, but it's a very good thing they did!
-
Agreed. Behaviour has made many good changes lately, and it is a bit disappointing to see all the complaints about changes that are healthy for the game.
Agreed about the iridescent head too. I'm a huntress main but I haven't used that addon in such a long time because it makes the game you use it in just not fun.
Next to change should be map design/size, keys and moris. Then balance will be in such a good state.
-
I'm curious what the video above is trying to prove?
Not using second blink to cover more distance.
Starting from 32 meters back - do the same with a full movement speed killer like trapper. You probably won't reach the survivor before the wall then either...
"I can't reach the survivor even though I'm not using my power fully!"
This is why the nurse was changed. Her map presence and also her power in a chase were too strong. Power in chase wasn't changed if you hit your blinks, and map presence was slightly nerfed. As was necessary.
-
The funny thing about this situation is all the people complaining in this thread would be SO happy if the current iteration of nurse was the next killer released.
Imagine we never had a nurse killer, and then suddenly this nurse was released. Still goes toe to toe with spirit as best killer in the game, can blink through walls, still has good map presence (don't even mention Haddonfield and big maps like that - I'm a huntress player. I know.), can down survivors really fast, etc. Like, it's obvious that they aren't looking at what she currently is, but comparing her to her previously broken state.
Oh, and isn't the person who made that video showing the nurse being slower than billy running, even though the nurse started WAY behind, and was only using one blink here in this thread, claiming that simply running straight is a counter to nurse now? Or was that a different diehard nurse player? Let me guess, still only charging one blink? I would love to see this new 'running in a straight line' counter.
-
"just bring a medkit" - know what happens in my region when the killer sees more than 1 item? Mori.
There is a time and place for self-care. Saying it is never useful is simply wrong. If you use it every time you get hit or taken off hook, yeah, it will hurt your team. Knowing when to use it effectively can make it a good perk to take.

I disagree, apart from certain add-ons, the majority of them will just tweak the killers powers a little bit or change how the power is used like scratched mirror or scarred hand.
Finding success without add-ons at high ranks isn't unheard of, I mostly use brown add-ons with hag just because I have them, I dont believe that they had a huge influence on how the game went.
Overpowered add-ons are an issue like iridescent head and prayer beads etc
I agree that the nurse needed to be fixed but they clearly went overboard with it.
I think you might be underestimating how big an effect addons have on every killer. I main huntress. Playing with no addons, and then brown addons, and then green addons is a world of difference. Going from brown or none to green is a world of difference. You are able to perform MUCH better. I would put no addon huntress, brown addon huntress and green addon huntress all in different tiers. The difference is that great.
Another example is billy. From no addons to his good addons he is a completely different killer. Even the best billy will be at a huge disadvantage against the best survivors if he does not use addons. That disadvantage disappears if the best addons are used. That suggests to me addons are HUGELY important.
I, too, have been using only brown addons on my huntress recently until I save up more of her better addons. I've won the majority of my games. But I know that if I get a team of 4 great survivors and I am not using my good huntress addons, I'm in trouble.
In my opinion this is how it should be. No basekit killer should be on par with the best, optimal survivors. That would mean using the good addons, which give HUGE boosts to a killer's power, would allow for huge victories all the time.
This is the issue all the nurse mains seem to have. They think they should be able to compete against the best, optimal survivors when they are not playing optimally themselves (only using basekit). No other killer can get away with that (maybe spirit? I don't know), and in my opinion that is how it should be. Every killer (yes, even leatherface) can win the majority of their games in red ranks with weak addons/no addons. But when the level of survivor skill goes up, those addons are, and should be, required.

As mentioned before, a killer that is add-on dependant is not a good design. All the best killers are good without their add-ons such as spirit, Billy, hag, huntress. Nurse is not among them anymore.
If a killer is add-on dependant, that would suggest that the killer is underpowered and probably needs tweaks.
Against the best red rank survivors every killer is addon dependent. That is how it should be. Killer is a different role than survivor. If a killer wants to win against the best survivors, addons SHOULD be required. Try playing addonless huntress, billy, hag against the best survivors and see what happens. (I didn't mention spirit because I very rarely play spirit, don't know her true power without addons). If you were able to beat the best survivors while not using addons THAT is what would indicate poor balance, because then if you were to equip good addons, or that killer's best addons, it stands to reason you would win easily.
The fact that nurse was able to perform at the top of the killer tier lists even without addons was something that needed to be fixed. Devs did a good job there. And yet even now addonless nurse is still good. Her only weakness is large maps (the rest of the killer roster says hello).
-
Basekit nurse was the strongest killer in the game, probably about equal to spirit with good addons. Nurse can still achieve that level of power, this time with addons. Yet nurse is trash now? Wow, nurse players are so entitled and out of touch...
Now nurse has no map control on big maps? You're talking to a huntress main now. You think I like getting Yamaoka, Haddonfield, Ormond? Against the best survivors you can't win on those maps on huntress even if you play well (if the survivors play well too). Guess what, that's not a huntress problem, just as map size isn't a nurse problem. It's a - you guessed it - map size problem.
Good post, OP. But it will fall on deaf ears. They just want their overpowered toy back.
-
It's funny seeing all the people saying they've stopped playing her because she isn't fun to play anymore.
I started playing her again after so long of not playing her because of how brokenly strong she was before. First game as her after like 6 months of not playing her and it was a 4-man SWF that I 4k'd at rank 1. Surprise surprise, she's still super damn strong, with the best snowball potential in the game. So maybe take your own advice that you continuously said to survivor players, and adapt instead of whining..
If having to wait a very short time between 2 blinks is what makes her go from super fun to super boring, the problem might be the person using her..just saying.
-
Already so many nurse players whining about how unfun she is because you have to wait an extremely small amount of time between double blinks, so......nurse.
And you've got a player saying he's won tournaments when the final match is bubba on Yamaoka getting a 4k against supposed great players, then looking down on other players as if this amazing tournament win gives his opinion more weight than other players. But that could be anyone.. The point is, there is unjustified whining on both sides.
-
This is why the devs' jobs are so tough:
Nurse mains: "my toy is still the strongest of all the other toys, but it is a little more punishing if I use it incorrectly now. Revert changes immediately so I can continue being the best with no downsides. Oh, and you devs are terrible and stupid for going through with these changes. Literally NO ONE thought basekit nurse was broken. LITERALLY NO ONE."
Don't let all the negative whining get to you, devs. You are going in the right direction.
Please look at maps next :)
-
The biggest reason why there are so many complaints about Gen speed is because of how bad so many of the maps are for killers against good survivors.
A huge map overhaul is the best way bring both killers and survivors as close to equal balance as possible.
-
I quite enjoy going against spirit (if I am using Iron Will). If I'm not, spirit is a nightmare to play against. When I'm playing as spirit and the survivors don't have Iron Will it really is like shooting fish in a barrel. I don't know what can be done about that, but Iron Will will definitely be staying in my build.
Plus, obviously prayer beads needs to be changed. Anyone who disagrees with that shouldn't be able to voice their opinion.
-
Trying to change the narrative after the fact and then claiming you were disrespected isn't cool.
Many people thought nurse basekit should have been changed. Many people thought the initial insta-heal change wasn't harsh enough. These rational people were listened to. That doesn't mean you were disrespected.
Bringing all of the broken/op aspects of the game as close to the ideal balance center is the goal. Keeping all the broken/op stuff in the game just because people spent time with it or stockpiled a lot of it is not good decision making. Bravo to the devs.
If making the right decision is disrespectful, I'll take another serving of disrespect please. It goes well with all the nurse main tears.
-
In the recent history of the game the 6 most broken things have been: Moris, keys, insta-heals, nurse, old legion, and the number of absurdly bad maps. 3 of those 6 have been fixed (although with legion they definitely went overboard.)
Seems to me like they are listening to those who actually want a balanced game, based on the direction they seem to be taking, rather than listening to the whiners who think basically guaranteed 4ks in the vast, vast majority of your games if you reached a certain skill level as nurse was balanced.
Let's hope Moris and keys are fixed as well as all those awful maps. Then if they give legion a little love I'd be able to confidently say they listened to those of us who actually understand what balance is.
But even then, the people in this thread will still be crying they can't easily 4k every game against the best, optimal survivors when they are using no addons on a bad map while not playing optimally themselves (and not being that good themselves).
Do you know what the best nurses have been saying about these changes? They've been saying they are surprised it took this long. So....yeah, I'd say for these recent issues the devs listened to feedback quite well. Good job devs!
-
It is easily the worst map in the game. I look forward to if it ever gets reworked.
-
The only tragedy is that it took this long for the devs to look at her.
-
I love the people saying that nurse hasn't been complained about until recently. Like...what?

Great, another add-ons dependent killer. We don't want to consistently beat those SWF, we only want to have a fair game, even without add-ons.
From what you said, you're saying that those SWF should beat and destroy any killers without add-ons consistently. If thats the case, should survivors that don't bring any items should get destroyed by killers? (Currently, SWF can beat any killers even without items, sometimes even make the game one-sided for survivors)
Also, what's the point of nerfing her basekit if you can just use add-ons to have similar old basekit nurse?
I wonder who said "Killers shouldn't require add-ons to do well" in this forum
Yikes. Putting words in my mouth after completely misunderstanding what I've said. Good job. Don't ignore what I say and then just write your own opinion and try to portray it as me saying that.
-
If I don't use addons as any other killer I don't expect to be able to consistently beat the best survivors. But this is what nurses are asking for. It's absolutely absurd. They want to maintain their perch atop their one-killer tier, all without the need to use something all other killers are expected to use at high ranks. Save your "basekit nurse" games for the potatoes where nurse will still reign supreme. And for facing the best players? Now you'll actually have to use your addons too, like other killers. And yet nurse will still be either the top killer or tied with spirit. Boo-hoo. And someone said she will be B-tier now. Ha..
If I get a bad map I don't whine that my killer should be stronger, I look at the real issue - map size and distances between gens on those maps. Yet nurse players in these threads mention big corn maps and lerys as if these maps warrant nurse being the way she is. Again, absurd. If I, a huntress main, whined about lerys, how silly would it look? It is an awful huntress map, but does that mean huntress needs more power? No. Fix the actual issue - the maps.
SWF too strong? Their most powerful tool (Insta heals) was nerfed (could still use more nerfs in my opinion). A nurse will still have the advantage against SWF teams on a neutral map. What more do you nurses want? It truly is absurd the entitlement in these threads of nurses who overestimate their own skill, wanting to beat the best survivors (which through the statistics released by the devs is only 1 in 20 games of full 4-man SWF teams, and by simple logic it is obvious the number of no-fun get out no matter what as fast as possible teams is much lower).
As old nurse if you ever lost to those teams it was because you didn't play well, or the map was bad. Old nurse was too overtuned, and the faster you accept it the better.
-
All the same nurse mains here still with their Pikachu faces on, shocked that something that all the good players predicted would happen for years finally happened.
I think my favorite rationalization is that people would stop complaining about nurse if other killers were buffed and nurse was left untouched. Like, how does that change how strong nurse was at all? Why would that make people suddenly stop complaining about how powerful she was? It doesn't make a lick of sense. If other killers became nurse tier the game would die. Period.
-
Borrowed time needs to work while you are asleep. Period.
Other than that, if the devs continue to make maps like hawkins lab, freddy will become more and more unfun to go against. Right now he is like billy. If your teammates make a few mistakes you will get stomped by a good freddy. But a good team can do well against a good freddy.
But if all the maps start getting only unsafe pallets like Hawkins, it will be quite unfun to play against - less skill and more a free hit at every pallet without needing to mind game at all as the freddy.
I am a little concerned about how well everything he has stacks together, but honestly right now he just needs to have the borrowed time change fixed. That's obvious.
-
As a player who mainly plays huntress (probably more hours with huntress than all other killers combined) I wouldn't mind if that addon was greatly changed. I don't use them anymore because they feel so cheap to use.
That, and any time I go up against that combo as survivor it is almost paired with an ebony mori and the huntress player camps the first hook (which is usually quite fast because getting a hatchet hit isn't that difficult, and good huntresses are expected to get many hatchet hits in a game). Just equipping that one addon changes the entire atmosphere of the game it is used in, and definitely not in a good way.
I have to wonder what sort of agenda the people in here have when they say the combo is fine, when you have huntress mains and players with many, many hours with huntress saying that nah, it should be changed. Of course, some of these people were also very vocal in the nurse threads, too. Something to think about.

@Karl_Childers said:
It’s the same exact mindset a killer who targets freshly unhooked survivors uses. It’s been said time and time again by many killer mains that this is perfectly fine, and that survivors should use their perks against this strategy if they don’t like it. Well....killers also have perks to combat generators...use them. If one is fine, so is the other. Address both, or address neither. Simple as that. If survivors need to collect gas cans or whatnot, give the killer another requirement as well to prevent “killrush”.
Like it or not, game balance will always be judged off kills/escapes. The addition of EGC imo has definitely balanced this out, if not pushed it in favor of killer. People need to stop making game suggestions that would just massively increase kill amounts. Add to one side, add to the other too...that’s called balance. Let’s not pretend that if survivors alone were given a second objective, that people who play killers like Spirit all day now would just stop and use weak killers. The strongest killers would continue getting played in high volume because people will want to steamroll survivors with them for easy 4Ks.
This person gets it.

in these 3 weeks i have played, i have only seen solos 10 % of the time at most. 3 ppl swf are all the time, the 4 man swf horror is like 20%. 2 ppl swf is manageable. imo if 2-3 gens are done in the first minutes of the game, then it is almost over for the killer. unless you playing nurse or spirit. imo toolboxes should either go or gen time should be reworked asap.
Are you sure? Yesterday I played a game against a streamer. In the lobby he said "oh this is definitely a 4-man."
I was solo, and another guy was solo too (the other two were very unkind - not in a joking way - because he made a big mistake at the end). At most it was a 2-man group, yet the streamer was convinced it was a 4-man group. In my experience this false assumption is more common than 4-man groups (especially super sweaty ones) by far.
-
The newer maps? Ormond, Yamaoka, the stranger things map? Yeah, no. The newer maps show the devs don't understand the biggest issue in the game right now: the maps.

Whatever you say. I'll try taking you more seriously when you grow up
Pay no attention to him. He wants to be able to win games as basekit nurse against the best survivors on bad nurse maps while they are a sweaty SWF with full items, while not being on the same skill level as those survivors.
-
For survivor: Depends on a lot of variables...going against a really good huntress on Haddonfield? I expect to escape. Going against that same huntress on a mcmillan map? Getting a pip is a win for me there.
Going against nurse on blood lodge? Getting past 3 generators would be good there. Going against that same nurse on lerys? +1 pip, but if the nurse is skilled probably still will get sacrificed.
Is the killer not using addons? Escape is a win. Is the killer using their most powerful addons? Depends on the map, killer and teammates.
There is no game-to-game win condition. Way too many variables.
For killer: At least 3 kills. Again, though, it depends on all those variables mentioned above.

Nurse wasn't common either. So why touching her?
I'm order to balance a game you don't look at what is common or not. You look at what is POSSIBLE on the highest play level. If you can't see the logic behind that I Really don't know where to start to discuss with you. However, little example:
Imagine there is an EXTREMELY rare addon which causes the killer to not be able to move for 5 minutes. But it's not common. Is it alright to stay in the game "cuz not common"?
Nurse wasn't common? Try telling that to the players in the Asian region. Japanese players are known for their love of Nurse. If you go up against a Japanese killer there is a very good chance it is a nurse. There are lots of good nurses in this region. MUCH more common than the super sweaty SWF that people seem to think are running wild in every game.
Last time stats were released it was only 5 percent of games are 4-man SWF (how many of those are super try-hard sweaty SWFs, I wonder? Probably a much smaller number than you think).
How about nurses in red rank games. Pretty sure it was 25 percent. Definitely not all of those are great nurses, but I would wager a guess that the number is much higher than the above-mentioned super sweaty SWF groups.
So no, if we are talking about frequency then nurse is much more common.
If we are talking about strength, then nurse is stronger, too. A basekit nurse without addons can beat any solo team of survivors if that nurse plays to a certain level. It is absurd that is possible. And if you don't believe this, you are lying to yourself.
As for SWF, a basekit nurse can challenge, and even beat a good SWF team. With the strong addons a nurse can win EVERY game against even the best survivors. if you add moris into the equation then a nurse will literally never lose a game if the player doesn't want to. Ever. The only exception are if one of the several bad maps comes up. But that has nothing to do with nurse, and everything to do with how bad some maps are. Again, absolutely absurd.
And after this insta-heal nerf (which is a good change, although I think the purple one should be made even weaker), those super sweaty SWF teams got hard nerfed.
Look, I appreciate nurse is your favorite killer, but she is an overpowered relic who was created when survivors had the ability to do literal infinites. She doesn't need to be so strong that she destroys every solo squad and most SWF groups if she simply plays well. Especially with the insta-heal changes, her power can reliably be reduced (like they are planning to do), and good nurses will still win basically all solo games because her power is absurd. Only super sweaty SWF will give a God nurse problems...and isn't that what we want? Remember, the balance ideal is 2 kills 2 escapes.
-
Freddy - as strong as he is, I really don't like the visuals of the dream world. It's why I didn't play old freddy, and don't play new freddy.
Hag - her power is so boring to play against, and just as boring to use (in my opinion). Just a big camp fest.
Nurse - got good with her, and then got bored because you'll win almost all of your games if you are good enough at nurse. Might return to her now that she isn't broke as heck.

I disagree, you can do well with any killer at red ranks. 5 gens to kill 1 survivor, and then NOED down 1 more, and that's a draw. Any killer can do that.
If you want constant 4k's you will definitely need to do some camping and tunneling though; perhaps a ton with the weaker killers.
At this point they need to look into the map design more than buffing every other killer. Some maps are incredibly biased for survivor (haddo, blood lodge, etc) and some are very biased for killers (hawkin's lab with nearly every pallet being useless). Just sorting out the pallet situations would solve so many M1 killer problems without needing to rework like 8 of them.
And I've been a killer main for YEARS, and never touch nurse, and I'm glad she is dead. Hopefully as dead as the OP makes it sound. I played her when I was a baby killer.
It's like one of the games long standing issues finally being solved. Think I am going to cry if they ever get rid of infinite windows? No idea why those are still around, but hey 3 years in and they are still on almost every map.
I also never understood the whole "but she is the only one that counters SWF!" argument either. Any killer can slap on a mori or some OP add-ons and it's a game again. The SWF is probably gonna have full builds and instaheals and BNPs and all that, so may as well use your tools as well.
This guy gets it.
And I love all these nurse mains using basekit nurse and wondering why it is a challenge beating some of the sweatiest, best teams in the game. If they didn't bring items then you, as a competent nurse main (maybe not all the nurse players in this thread) should win that game no matter what you use. Are they bringing items? Then you have so many addons/offerings at your disposal. But hey, let's continue to lie to ourselves that nurse basekit was fine because the best of the best survivors could beat you when you weren't using everything you had at your disposal.
Or, you can learn to adapt to the new situation, the same advice you loved to give to survivors.
"survivors just want to loop and nothing else!"
"just use stealth!"
"just break line of sight!"
"survivors just haven't learned how to beat nurse"
The same people saying these useless things that don’t truly work against good nurses are the ones crying here, and it's absolutely beautiful.
-
As appealing as that sounds to a huntress main, she would be way too strong. Fixing the awful maps would be a much more consistent and fair change.
She already is one of the best at shutting down loops, and with 115 movement she would be unstoppable.

Instas Need to be brought back down even harder
Yeah, agreed there. But it's definitely a good start. They are so broken in their current state. The purple one's change is more of a side-grade, but the red one can't be abused right in the killer's face anymore, and that's good.
-
Both instas and nurse are being brought back down to earth in the next patch. That is a good thing! :D
-
Basekit nurse was the best killer in the game before, better than other killers who used addons, and you can still basically become basekit nurse if you use addons, so...still top tier...
-
It is so clear that the issue isn't killers being weak, but rather many maps are just horrible. Apart from some of the lowest tier killers getting some QOL changes, currently any killer can go up against the best survivors and do well if the killer is also the best and the map is good. Unfortunately there are too many killers who think "every killer should be at nurse's level!" Nonsense. You want your power role? Go play Friday the 13th.
When I get Haddonfield as Huntress I don't think "damn, killers are so weak!" I think "this map is terrible." I can beat the best survivors on a good map, and I'm lucky to get 1 kill against those same survivors on Haddonfield.
All you people asking for killer buffs...get your priorities straight. A huge map rework would be the biggest killer buff you could get. On smaller maps as any killer you can break chases and apply pressure and control the game. On bigger maps if you break chases you basically lose if the survivors know what they are doing.

I don't really have a "main" I play a large assortment of killers, I just look at the game from the point of view of someone who plays BOTH KILLER AND SURVIVOR, basekit nurse WAS FINE the addons where NOT. they basically fixed something THAT WAS NOT BROKEN
I play every killer except hag (boring play style imo), doctor (meh) and nurse (used to, don't anymore, was too easy). The fact of the matter is nurse base kit was more consistent, and it can be argued better than any other killer even with addons (if we put aside prayer beads, one-shot hatchets). I know some people think that is where the killer base line should be. Buff everyone up to that level, right? Except that would kill the game 100 percent.
"basekit is fine" was only said so much because nurse mains tried to convince everyone it was true. Every other killer had to use addons against equally skilled, good players. Now nurse isn't the exception. That is a very good thing.

It's the fact that you can't do anything with underwhelming killer.
If you do bad, you lose pip ofcuz,
but if you do well, you still doesn't pip, because survivor can't handle defeat and just dc.
As a result, who the [BAD WORD] wants to play them anymore?
In my lengthy experience playing this game I've seen way more people d/c against nurse and Spirit than...wraith.
I've actually seen more people teabag 3-blink/omega blink nurse and prayer bead spirit than I've ever seen teabag other killers, just to taunt them for playing on easy mode, I guess. Just my experience.
If you are getting d/c's in 50 percent of your games, I really don't know what to tell you. I think I've had maybe one person disconnect in one of my games in the past 2-3 weeks..and I've played a lot of games in that time.
-
How do the title and the post relate at all? You dominated a team so badly as Wraith that they disconnected, and that means you should only play billy, nurse spirit? Huh?
Sorry, I fail to see the connection. It's alright, though. With all the flawed, nonsensical logic nurse mains have been spewing lately, it's not too bad in comparison!

sounds like another survivor who instead of LEARNING and GETTING BETTER AT THE GAME, they cry cry cry "nerf the killer!!!! omg so unfair I cant use the same tactics of looping against a M1 killer when I'm against a M2 killer, SO UNFAIR!!!!"
Sounds like another nurse main who, instead of learning and getting better at the game, and adapting, instead cries "give me back my S+ rating on the Tier list."
I'm glad the devs are finally doing all these needed changes. Nurse, insta-heals, map reworks, hopefully moris and keys next! Exciting times, except for those used to overpowered and broken mechanics!

Even without addons basekit nurse was the best killer in the game. You can still achieve what essentially was basekit if you use these current addons, and yet you still complain?
Sorry you don't have a tier of your own anymore. Sorry you have to actually equip addons to compete with the best players now, when before you didn't have to. My main is huntress. If I see a lobby full of good players I don't take off my addons and expect to do well. Yet for some reason nurse mains thought it was okay for them? It always rubbed me the wrong way when all these nurse mains would say "but basekit is fine!" Like, in your mind if top of the Tier list without even having to equip addons, is okay..well, I'm sure you feel as if this whole situation is super unfair.
Nurse has been brought down a peg, yet with addons she will still be top tier. Grow up.

She won't be winning any high rank games vs anyone good, so you enjoy your new toy I guess.
Skilled nurses will. Not the caliber of nurses all crying in the forums though, that's for sure. They will surely struggle.

How about those of us who have played high rank base nurse and realized the basekit was the reason the addons sent her power into the stratosphere? I might actually go back to playing her now that she's not a guaranteed win in 95+ percent of games if you play well.

I love all these nurse players who all this time have been trying to convince everyone 'basekit is fine, basekit is fine' and then saying "OMG BUT EVERYONE AGREED BASEKIT NURSE WAS PERFECTLY FINE!" Like, no not everyone agreed, at all. Like, have these people even been reading any other posts except their own? Nurse (addons and basekit) has always been the most talked about killer (except for the dark days of old legion). Like, only listening to your own opinion, and then saying 'NO ONE ASKED FOR THIS!' Yikes..
Plenty of arguments were made as to why her basekit is the REASON WHY the addons were allowed to be so powerful. No point rehashing them here. The best players all have the same opinion. And now, especially with the changes to insta-heals (which are amazing) literally everyone except nurse mains agree the changes we have seen are for the better...please, listen to players like me with experience at the highest level on both sides. This game just became a whole lot healthier! :D

People who think only Nurse and Spirit are viable need to learn how to manage the game better as killer. It's not easy, of course, but what do you expect when you are going against the best survivors?
It's absurdly obvious that people who believe this nurse change wasn't necessary either aren't good enough to perform at the highest level, or they are, and they don't want all the easy 4ks to start going away. No other option.
