Please don't do this. It's so cringe.
-
It's pretty easy to suss out if you bring some logic into it. Holding the game hostage is not progressing the game state in meaningful fashion. A group of survivors not touching gens at all for a long period of time. A killer trapping someone in a corner and not letting them interact with objectives. Same for a survivor trapping another survivor.

Probably to give another teammate to the killer or things like that…
What do that expect the developers to do, specifically?
-
This please. Every event I spend the first day two hooking everyone then goofing off. Very sick of accidentally killing everyone.
-
I don't think Keanu Reeves would be okay with his likeness brutally torturing and murdering teenagers.
-
Do what, exactly?
-
It's really 95% inconsequential. If a survivor is dead you've probably already won anyway in which case finding a hook to secure your second or third kill doesn't really matter except to the survivor you've gotta slug because there's not a hook nearby.
"Removing strategy" is nonsense. As a BP bonus main I don't like sitting around on the ground because the killer can't find a hook. As a killer I just roll my eyes and again, go kill the rest of the team because the game is basically over anyway.
Finally can I just say declaring stuff like "I'm a killer main but I miss old dead hard" is ridiculous? It doesn't lend any credence to your argument. Can we just drop this?
-
Aggressively uninteresting. One of the biggest things that makes DBD engaging for me is that I get to decide the stuff I bring and the permutations thereof. Restricting that stuff restricts me for no clear benefit. It would get real boring fast.

I did, but the DH meta also had it's ups, a lot of survivors would get very cheeky knowing they have DH, and put themselves in bad situations when you would bait it, it was a fun little mindgame to have.
It wasn't fun when it basically gave them a free pallet or window, but the rest of the time, I enjoyed the baiting aspect of it, there was a lil bit of counterplay, there's no lil bit of counterplay for WoO
I was with you until you claimed to enjoy hugging a survivors ass for a minute on the off chance they were about to push E. That was the most tedious thing in the world.
-
Them you're stuck with a survivor with an awful ability that you've sunk all your bloodpoints in and bought cosmetics for. Like people are lobby dodging haddie because she can see locker auras or something worthless, but she's your favorite survivor. It doesn't work.
-
Well it's better than the tired rocket launcher idea.
Although I think the game needs yet another killer that throws themselves at the survivors like it needs a stick in the eye.
-
I have no clue what you expect a team to do, besides work together.
-
Or they could just ditch the mode entirely

I hope eventually all killer moris will be 3rd person, with an option to switch to 1st person for the couple of older killers who have them. 1st person moris are cool, but I'd rather see Clown, Huntress, and all the other killers with 1st person moris, be 3rd person by default.
They're never going to add granular options like this.
I prefer the first person Moris but I get that people are very very attached to their cosmetics.

Other people don't make you DC. You decide to do that.

It's true, she is traditionally attractive.

I don't think Weave Attunement is anywhere near as broken as Circle of Healing was, and that's reflected in the use rate.
Peak Circle was in basically every single game, Weave Attunement is actually pretty rare to see, all things considered.

This. They just need to make it a bit easier to counter.
I played around 20 games last night and didn't see it once.
-
Chasing someone with this at the beginning is a game losing proposition. Finding a new survivor is also a chance endeavor, especially if they also have this perk.
-
I really don't think an achievement is worth a breathless all caps post. They don't do anything. They don't have any impact on anything. I got this one by accident and it didn't change anything at all.

I do think there should be some sort of buff for survivors when getting double teamed. Or maybe a slight nerf for killers when super close to eachother
Killers working together in the mode with two killers.
Obviously disallowed. Jot that bad boy into the rulebook.

I think this is misunderstood. Against efficient Survivors you don't need to tunnel, but Killers do need to tunnel against Survivors who are more efficient than they are. If the Killer instead takes the match as a learning opportunity, they will continually improve, and eventually be more efficient than those previous Survivors, and win without tunneling. It is difficult to take the loss when you know you could win (in this context) though. The best way to stretch, improve, and learn, is by banking that thought in your head "I can win if I tunnel, but I'm gunna try to not do that", then since mentally you already know how you won, you can take the risk and grow.
Essentially tunneling is an admission of defeat against superior opponents, and going for the sand in the eyes trick to cheese out a win. A Killer who doesn't resort to low-brow tactics will eventually become stronger and without reliance on such crutches.
Nope. All things equal a legion, dredge or trapper is gonna have to tunnel to have a chance vs an equally competent team. Different killers do different stuff with different levels of facility. The best legion in the world cannot 4k a comp team. The best nurse however has a shot at it.
It's bizzare that the vastly different power levels of different killers doesn't have a place in this rationale. They aren't all the same. All this stuff reads like macho git gud nonsense without any basis in reality.

I've been playing since blight was released and I've seen precisely two blatant cheaters.

The game is balanced to play without tunneling and camping. Myself and scores of other killers are proof of that. you DO NOT need to tunnel to win. If losing a match upsets you so much that you resort to tunneling/toxic behavior as your main tactic….thats just called being a sore loser and bad sportsmanship. I win virtually every match with my ghostface without tunneling or camping…and i have 0 gen regression perks. when i dont win its never less than a two kill. and its not "mmr" cuz as i said…i rarely ever lose and im a killer main with 3k hours. Its just that pressure + prediction is better than tunneling.
like yeah. tunneling and camping is an easy win. But by singling out a specific player and ruining their experience just for your benefit and lack of proper skill…is toxic. If you intentionally and repeatedly perform an action that you know is ruining the experience of others, that's toxic. Now this isnt the same as typical gamer rage when theyre losing, it is the intentional performance of actions that you know will significantly ruin the enjoyment of others. DBD is notorious for its ridiculously toxic community. So as players, do we not have a responsibility to help facilitate an environment that encourages enjoyment and health for all players? If losing a few matches means a happier community and results in a better balanced game, is it worth not tunneling?
It's really not. I understand you're the greatest killer in the world, but most people simply cannot reach your level of rarified excellence. For most of us mere mortals, you gotta get someone out when the game is close.

It's kind of funny that usually I see posts in general discussion that clearly belong in feedback and suggestions. But this is the opposite as far as I can tell. What suggestion or feedback is being made here? You don't seem to be asking for or recommending any change to any perk. Seems like the post is clearly a discussion about what perk loadout goes best with a certain perk. Post should be in general discussions I think.
I think you can flag a post to be moved.
-
It's on the list to be changed. I would make it extend the duration of hemorrhage and mangled per stack on top of it only activating upon unhook rather than hook.

I hate the argument "if you don't need to tunnel the survivors aren't on your level". couldn't I just as easily argue that if you need to tunnel the survivors are at a higher level than you sense you need to deploy cheap/desperate tactics to win? Furthermore if you have to deploy cheap tactics to win, wouldn't it make since to NOT do that, making the killers kill/escape ratio drop. giving the devs better data and showing them that killers are worse off if they play fair….leading to them buffing killers so people don't have to play in such a manner that promotes toxicity
As most killers in the game you have to tunnel on occasion to win vs survivors that are even mildly coordinated. As legion you're going to tunnel on occasion, for example.
A scenario: two gens left, everyone has one hook. You hook a survivor and they get unhooked. If you don't go after the death hook person you'll very likely lose. It would be stupid and game losing not to. The issue is not black and white. It's easy and tempting to say "thing is bad" or "thing is good", but seeing nuance and having empathy requires flexing a certain amount of mental muscle.
That's no more scummy that letting someone hit 2nd so you can break a 3 gen. It's just trying to win the game with all the tools in your kit.
Also sorry to say, tunneling isn't really as frequent as people pretend. They take a hit with base BT and the killer rightfully sticks them back on the hook. Not tunneling. They have DS up so go and get downed for their friend, trigger DS and get put back on the hook. Not tunneling. They get unhooked, try to heal under hook and the killer comes back and their friend doesn't take aggro. Not tunneling. All that stuff is just poor game sense but people will throw themselves on the metaphorical ground and scream and screech that they got tunneled.

Because being slugged and add ons that promote toxic boring gameplay is so healthy and "fine". It needs a cool down.
I cannot pinpoint your issue. The addon only prevents one person from leaving. Everyone else can crawl out if slugged. If it bothers you that much, the add-on is disabled by taking a hit for the hunted person and they can leave freely.
-
It power creeps dark sense. Dark sense should be more distinctive.
-
That is specifically an add-on. And it's fine.
-
I like how your post just says survivors should be able to disconnect with impunity, but killers should be forced to stay in the game. I appreciate the honesty. Usually people aren't so illustrative of their biases.

If the community wants the current waifu then that's what they'll bring. It's what makes them the most money so why wouldn't they bring that. Bhvr is a business. They will follow the money. Don't expect anything else.
You're not saying anything interesting or new. Corporations like money? Really? That's nuts.
However the community skins go in the free track of the rift so what the hell are you talking about? Even if that weren't the case it's not like the resources required to make a single skin is going to bankrupt BHVR. Money is important. So is goodwill. That's why they do stuff that doesn't bring money, like changing old characters.

They hopefully will not put her on the list that we vote on. Just wait to see the list they compile for the voting.
That's a nice thought, but why on earth would they let the community decide only to exclude the most popular survivor? People would be livid.
-
I agree completely. There are many many games where all the survivors loop like gods and bang out gens then throw really really hard in the EGC and just hand me a 4k.
Or when I'm playing survivor and my teammates want to go save vs a bubba or something. Why are you handing this killer 4k? Let's just get the three man out.
-
It would kill the name. I don't care about 2v8 and the extended queues for the regular mode have basically made me stop playing.

Is it really the survivor hitboxes that are like that? Not asking sarcastically or anything, I haven't seen anything on it myself and I'm actually very curious.
They're pills that extend upward from the back of the survivors foot. People don't understand that so they complain when they get hit. When you know where the hitboxes are and figure in latency it makes more sense when you get hit.
Also I've never felt like latency benefited me as a killer. During the day I get matched against south American players and the number of times they scream and it's a noreg and I eat a pallet are ridiculous. I cannot see how it's an advantage.

OTR doesnt help you if your being tunneled in fact OTR best use is healing and being undetectable the endurance is meh.
It definitely does. Killers can't count to ten and wait out the endurance.

I don't agree. His chains are incredibly low impact for how punishing they are to miss. He stomps bad survivors and is worthless against good ones unless you're able to keep constant chain hunts up. Against good survivors that's his entire power: keep chain hunts up. It sucks.
-
Clown is kinda ok at it. Yellow bottles let you catch up to prerunners faster. Purple the end of a loop for the inevitable hold w.
-
Well, get ready to quit the game
-
Distortion doesn't hurt full aura builds. They can burn through stacks at least once.
It really hurts people like me, running BBQ and lethal or alien instinct. If you're playing a 32 TR killer with no stealth it's indefinite aura suppression. You're never going to run out of tokens. That's problematic because it pushes me toward more reliable perks. Namely slowdown. I'd really like to run alien instinct more but 8/10 games there's at least one person shutting it down completely. That kinda sucks.
-
First one is good. Second one is overkill.
But hey, this is probably what they'll end up doing. They love double nerfing.
-
@AggressiveFTW said:
The only change I want is: Removing hindered status effect when hitting directly at survivor. Instead let the projectile do what it would do if it was hit normally (either damage or weakened). Because why am I getting punished for laying a perfect shot?
That's not a perfect shot. It's easier to hit point blank than to bank it. There's less opportunity for the survivor to dodge as well.
-
So killers can't generate pressure by slugging anymore? Nah.
People pretend like it happens all the time but it really doesn't. There's only a handful of killers that can generate enough pressure to slug an entire team without huge mistakes from the survivors.
I've been playing since blight released and I've only been bled out less than a dozen times? I know, I know "muh experience". People who the it happens a lot are simply suffering from negativity bias. Sorry.

That doesn't really happen very often with how popular Windows is nowadays, but it was really funny.

The survivor perk buffs won't change anything. The shorter charge time of the trap perks won't mean much since you still have to wait for the trap to expire or trigger before you can charge it again.
Diversion having a lower activation requirement doesn't make it stronger since a killer will quickly figure out diversion is being used.
Deception has a similiar issue to Diversion where it doesn't do much once the killer figures out you have it.
Dance With Me cooldown now lines up with Quick and Quiet and is a perk you ultimately only run in combination of other vaulting perks.
The only notable perk buff is Flashbang, because it means an extra flashbang could be in play.
I'm not huge on the blast mine buff either. It feels awful to lose control of your character and I'd rather not emphasize that.
On the other side the stun gives you some time to drink your beer so that's nice
-
It should be an option.

Ok
