You're being dismissive and trying to insinuate that I can't "deal" with these perks. Being able to burn through these perks against mediocre players and win is very doable especially on the right killers that's for sure. It doesn't make the situations it puts you in enjoyable or interactive though. There is no need to downplay how problematic it is especially for players that aren't you and I.
Let me also speak for everyone who is currently busy laughing at the insinuation that there is currently something problematic going on with any of the perks mentioned in this thread. If it sounds dismissive, it's because it's such a non-issue and anyone who's actually experienced these perks at their worst knows it's a non-issue. It's like lightly scraping your knee and making it out to be broken.
So other than being a minor inconvenience, where's the actual problem at? Are we just setting the bar at anything that makes us feel bad? Welcome to DBD, just like any other competitive multiplayer game where you're up against another person or team, some situations are not enjoyable. It happens on both sides. Interactive? I beg to differ. I'm not sorry to have to inform anyone who didn't know that already.

Maybe stop putting words in my mouth? There isn't anything to handle you are not the one in control when these perks are at play. They get value either way and you just have to deal with it.
I'm not putting words in your mouth, just reading what you say as I see it written. You say you feel that you are not in control when encountering these perks at play. I cannot relate and I would refer you to my reply to Xern with helpful tips to regain your control. There are also multiple resources on Youtube and Reddit i'd be happy to connect you with.

There isn't slug pressure if they have unbreakable????? You just wasted time and lost bloodlust and your potential second chase it's a net gain for them to do it.
So you're saying your problem is Unbreakable itself is too strong and you do not know how to handle encounters with it?

True I should have to do all this for making the decision of chasing someone else instead of the person unhooked. Very weird how survs cry about tunneling and such then throw themselves at the killer every chance they get.
So… are you complaining about having to actually play the role you queued for or are you complaining that a surv is giving themselves to you and you getting free ticket to slug and gain pressure?
-
Slug them a 2nd time after they use Unbreakable for not learning a lesson the first time. No more Unbreakable.

Forgive me father for I have sinned. In a match against a face camping Bubba in which my team mates were sticking close to the hook I gave up shortly after hitting second stage.
Xern & Burn, the Entity sees you and recognizes your devotion to it. Sometimes it does give us very tough battles when we're just doing our best so survive in its world. Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Entity is with you wherever you go. Walk the fog with a clear mind and conscience for your DBD sins have been absolved. You are forgiven!

Yesterday I played several clown matches with a very evil build: knockout, infectious fright, Hex: Third Seal and STBFL.
I don't know what possessed me to do these abominable things. All those survivors… l slugged them all.. for 4 minutes. I don't know why I did it but it felt good... a feeling I haven't had in a long time.

I was on Ghostface. A survivor sent us to The Game and proceeded to pre-drop everything and teabag me the whole game. They were the last one alive with 1 gen left. I went crazy with the teabags after I downed them.
No sin is too big to forgive. Even running a slug build and bleeding out survs. My dredge has one too with similar perks for when I'm feeling a bit of the ol' ultra-violence.
@Edgar As you should have, rightfully so.
I absolve you both of your DBD sins. may you walk the fog with clear heart and mind

While i was playing killer last night, there was one survivor who was incrediblt toxic to me all game with teabags. Fast forward 4 gens and 11 hooks later, he was the last survivor alive and was on death hook. Still tea bagged me at every single attempt. Eventually I down him and pick him up. He doesn't struggle, accepting his fate. Instead of hooking him, I walked around looking for the hatch, and eventually I found it. About 1.5 meters from the hatch, I put the survivor down and watched him crawl to the hatch. As he was about to crawl into it, I walked up, closed the hatch, picked him back up, and hooked him on a nearby hook.
You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villainWe all have our black jacket moments. Times we feel the need to stray from the teachings of the Jedi and walk another, darker path... May you walk through the fog absolved of the disruption to your equilibrium that the toxic surv caused you. Perhaps consider picking a funny and nice surv or baby surv to go free in their trials if you still feel the need to balance the onus of that match.

"advanced strategem"
Bro, it's dbd
You're right, I should know to use the appropriate language for my audience
Take the hit for your teammate on death hook. It's not as black and white as it's made out to be mate
-
Now maybe this is a radical idea around here, but some of us just think it'd be fun. The idea killer being able to listen in and screw with survs on comm (like on F13) would be fun.

I have two, one as Survivor and one as Killer.
First, I left out of the exit gate instead of participating in the hook rescue for the last person. I was at full health and zero hook states…
Second, as Killer I was trying to two hook everyone. I wasn’t keeping track of my hooks and ended up sacrificing Renato… Sorry Renato.
I absolve you of your sins, you have been forgiven!
I feel like the hook one is easy to do on accident, especially when their team lets them hang on the hook and they go into stage 2. I've had games like that where I try to go around and 2 hook everyone and even when I leave the area with no intention of going back to hook they still let their teammate hang around on hook until 2nd stage. I don't know if they don't catch on or just apathy, but it happens.

Mine is seriously gutting me and I'm literally ashamed of myself, not kidding.
I have been doing all the old Tome Challenges and one was to kill the Obsession by any means.
I played as my main, Freddy, and literally ignored everyone looking for my Obsession who just happened to be Quentin.
I tunneled him straight off the hook twice at 5 generators because I just wanted the challenge to be over with.
After I followed him after his second unhooking, he ran to the exit gate and pointed at the gate switch.
I ignored it and knocked him down, and fed him to The Entity.
I feel awful. I can't stop thinking that maybe he was begging me to let him live so he could open the gate for a Daily Ritual.
I am sincerely sorry, Quentin.
I should have played the match out and let you earn some bloodpoints. I seriously feel ashamed.
I keep cracking myself up with previous attempts at a response. My main surv is Quinny and so as you can imagine I have to sympathize as a fellow Quin. Yea, those tome challenges can be brutal with how they want you to behave in-game. Sometimes it's just against your own script. You did it for the challenge and now have a chance to wipe the slate clean. Your DBD sins are absolved and you have been forgiven!

Is it truly unreasonable that killers trying to spread hooks are a tad tired of these anti-tunnel perks being used offensively because survivors want constant value regardless?
Maybe if it were any lesser-known perk, but DS has been hated since its inception. So even the tiniest whisper from the perk is amplified 50-fold. Other forum members have already posted about the double standard. It's been infamous for so long, and with so much content out there on it its hard not to already have a non-biased opinion of it, even if you've never faced it at its strongest. People already have their minds made up.

Oh yeah for sure. I was thinking of you this weekend! I played as The Pig to do her Tome 10 challenges lol. I got them all done! It was so different, being in control of The Scariest Killer in the game, The Pig 🐖
Haha, hopefully it was good things! Yes, Mandy is such a sneaky menace. I played against one yesterday on Nostramo Wreckage and she was appearing out of the fog like a movie monster! lol. Ended up getting us all; she did good. I am currently working on Slingers tome…i'm so behind 😂😭

What I'm seeing is the rise of DS Derangement Syndrome (DSDS). Players have all this hatred for DS that it clouds their judgment.

I had two Survivors bait me with it by spamming themselves in lockers after they were unhooked last night. I didn't care as I was just there for the Bloodpoints.
As Survivor, I had a teammate pretend to Grief me so that the Killer would knock her down and pick her up again so that she could use her DS.
There's definitely some troublemakers in the fog.
They could always do that to be trouble makers on live tho. The only difference is 2 seconds. Refer to my above comment. 2 Survs are not on gens progressing the objective and you know where they are leaving at max 2 doing anything actually useful for escaping (and thats assuming all survs are alive by that point)… sounds like an advantage you can capitalize on in your game.

Ohh, I'm more than happy eating a DS when I'm actually tunneling. Turn it up to 7 seconds. I have no issue with that. But get rid of bodyblocking with DS. That is not the intention behind it.
When I go out of my way not to tunnel and then I still have to deal with DS, that's when I have an issue and that's when I will tunnel. DS is supposed to be a last line of defense against a tunneling killer, not a tool to make you a meat shield for your team mate.
Since the DS buff, I have tunneled a lot more. If I have to go through your DS anyway, then I have absolutely no reason not to tunnel you. Quite the opposite because a DS puts me behind schedule, so it becomes harder for me to win.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3710211#Comment_3710211
Yeah, right. I got outplayed when they mind gamed me into thinking it was safe to put them on a hook. I guess I'll just start slugging everyone until I have the whole team down?! Or do I need to bleed everyone out as well because they could outplay me by getting a kobe?
And for DH… Well, I guess pressing E to get to a pallet you otherwise wouldn't get to is an outplay now.
If they are offering themselves up to you, then why does it matter when you can ignore them, just slug the body blocker, or give them the attention they want if you're inclined. They are not doing gens during all the time they try to catch your attention. And as long as you don't pick them up they can only bodyblock once with endurance.
Also, if I'm a surv with DS, and I have fewer hooks than the teammate unhooking me, then why shouldn't I be bodyblocking for that teammate? Especially in scenarios where the unhooker is on death hook? That's just advanced strategem.
-
Nodding is fun yeah, and tbagging. Really simple but silly and are staples in my gameplay. I've just done it for so long that it's just another part of the game to me.
-
-
It's not. It's just the fact it's DS and it isn't completely booty cheeks anymore.
-
I had one just download on my Playstation like 15 minutes ago if that means anything
-
DS been out for multiple years now. If you have been here awhile and still can't figure out what to do when it's used against you, then I suggest hitting the books and educating yourself instead of acting like a n00b on the forums who has never encountered it before. It's not like we haven't been here before.

So, how now do I change the rendering API, or is this going to be a constant thing every time I start up Dead by Daylight now or even worse actually cause the game to glitch or worse crash?https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/F7SESDMQ69W6/untitled.png

truely, it is unacceptable to release in this state.
I got a flashback to when I played ARK and Studio Wildcard ######### the bed with their catastrophic rollout of what was essentially a overhyped & overpromised paid UE5 update that ended up DOA. The lying, manipulating, and alienating their playerbase ontop of leaving many bugs still in the game that were supposed to be squashed to this day leaves a particular kind of stain on their brand's reputation.
I don't think that's the case here, but I'm still not impressed. Rubberbanding…just like the many of the other horror stories on the forums that would keep your average DBD enjoyer up at night.
Also, store is an improvement for sure. Still some clutter that can be fixed in the future. Like why does there need to be 2 seperate sections for cosmetics? I feel there is a better way to consolidate those options and have a dedicated tab or page that already does it with filters to reduce the amount of menu clutter to navigate.

Little rant.
Why is it that whenever a bug happens with a new skin, the first thing everyone jumps to is that BHVR (or any other gaming company) purposely made the bug (or in this case feature) in order to sell more skins? Like, do people honestly think that every gaming company is out to screw over their playerbase in any way they can? Also, while one perspective may be see it as misguided anger and conspiracies, there's a positive side. People care and are ready to call out P2W if they see it, which isn't necessarily a bad thing when it comes to the gaming industry. I'd rather see people caring and ready to stand on business than not caring at all about what's going on.

It's not currently there, but as they said above, future charms will be in bundles (also if you already have stuff in the bundle, then it's discounted accordingly) so it's possible.
As for what others have said about Rift charms being exclusive, I say no. Honestly, I will never understand the idea of "I have this you, don't so I am special." mentality. I bought a certain SPACE MMO's Collector's Edition 12 years ago, so I had access to a special in-game vendor that only those who purchased it did. Even when they released the Digital Deluxe that included the rest of the CE digital content, that vendor remained locked. I spoke against this for years. I had access to the vendor, but I did not feel that made me special, I wanted to see everyone with an opportunity to get the items on the vendor to see them in game more often would be fun. Now, finally, after 12 years, they've added the ability to purchase access to that vendor. I couldn't be more happy for new players, and the same goes for Dead by Daylight!
We have Legacy Skins and Deep Rift skins that are exclusive. That's enough.Figured that might be the case once I saw they had Feng's game controller from that same rift. File it under TBA.
-
Why it look like a bent back paperclip. That ain't right.
-
There was a charm that looks like a digital drum machine. Lights up with all the buttons… Wanted it for the longest…originally missed it. It's been in-game forever, but I can't find it on the charm store. Having trouble even remembering the name. Has anyone seen it yet to confirm it's available?
Edit: name is Mightee One Music Pad. Originally available on Rift 9.
