Imagine playing starcraft and being constantly put against random opponents. Could be a guy playing his second game, could be some korean pro, could be someone of your skill level.
Totally fine matchmaking, nothing to see.
"But veteran players will have to go against other veteran players and the game will be super hard." Yeah, as it should be at that level. Unless you believe that good players should be matched against bad players, because it is more fun this way for the veteran. Who cares about the worse players getting stomped, if I can get my easy victory.
Btw. I had a great time when the last mmr was on. Games felt much more balanced than usual.

Do you have crossplay enabled?
-
If you can't get a game then switch the side you are playing and you probably get a game within 10 seconds.

I am saying if laceration had no timer and no mechanic reduced laceration, he could the 7 blades, leave the survivor, M1 them and than just throw a single knife and down survivor. obviously they'd need to rework those add-on that change the timer. He would have way more strategic depth in his decision making.
This would be incredibly oppressive. Once you put 7 knifes in everyone and injure like 2 people you basically won the game.

It would give him more strategy if laceration did not decrease. he could throw 6-7 knives, leave a survivor than m1 them later and he would only need single knife to down that survivor. Those changes are good but I suspect he will still down too slowly to keep up with the game tempo.
If you m1 a guy he loses 4 laceration, so that would not work.

Yeah it's very terrible.
Slow movement speed. (bugged btw)
Very small activation window.
Blades don't affect survivors more with this power.
And blades aren't being thrown faster than normal. (Which should be a thing with this power honestly.)
It is not bugged. The description of the power says "his movement speed does not decrease after each throw.", which is exactly what happens. You are as slow at the beginning of main event as you are at the end.

With his fast knives dead zone maps are a perfect match for him.
So can Bubba, Billy, Huntress, Oni and Blight. The difference is that those killers actually have powers at tiles.
If you are in a deadzone against a trickster that is your fault.
-
News just in: Killers can down you in dead zones.
-
He is called the trickster, because he tricks you into using his ability.
-
When mmr was on i had a great time as killer.
-
Sad killer main indeed.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head with the main issue with Deathslinger, too.
I knew right away that this killer was going to be weak (7/8 knives per health state is a lot, even with the fire rate and ridiculously large hitboxes) but it's very clear that there's no real counterplay beyond 'hope he misses and try to predict a throw when he can throw tons at once and he'll gain distance if I try to dodge')
At least Slinger is strong; this killer is just annoying/unfun, regardless of his blatant lack of strength and uninspired power.
Counterplay: Go to a jungle gym. You just countered his power and his m1. All YOU have to do is know how to loop those. (Talking about trickster)
-
Perk works perfectly for me, but I also never did the "unbreakable/ds do a gen in your face" thing-

I can't stand the Trickster. In every match I play he eliminates at least one person by spamming the "down opponent with endless projectiles button", his only useful function. Then everyone else but me goes to save him. Ultimately they too are downed by the same awesome power, and I'm forced to either try to solo 3-4 gens before he sneaks around and does the same thing to me or go get myself killed trying to save one of the survivors who fall back down by being breathed at.
TL;DR: ######### the Trickster at every level, he's an irritating pain in the ass non-character.
If you think his knifes are a problem, then you should see what he can when he presses m1. His m1 is much stronger than his knifes, so you can count yourself lucky that you havent encountered those magical tricksters yet.

I already deranked from rank 3 to rank 9. Doing my part. Guess when I hit rank 15 I just rank up again using spirit.

Yes.

Nah if we're using your definitions. The spirit predicts. The survivors guess.
I dont know why you think the spirit is predicting. The spirit hears where you are, there is no uncertainty in that.

”guessing”
Aint that what an m1 killer does with a mindgame? And thats at pallets that allow a mindgame, many dont
But you’ll never hear survivors complain about a lack of counterplay there
Not every loop is mindgameable. In mindgameable loops you have two parties that are guessing. Against a spirit only one party is guessing at EVERY loop ( the survivor ), the spirit can just hear where you are. Thats the difference.

@GoneForever said:
There is counterplay - predicting.
I know it sucks being the one in disadvantage in mindgames, but that's how M1 killers play.
You are not predicting you are guessing. Predicting assumes some kind of information you have that you can work with, since spirit gives you no information you can only guess.
Also anyone saying that spirit has counterplay probably also think that playing a one armed bandit has counterplay. Any spirit with working ears hears you. You can sprint, walk or crouch, you still make noises. You slow vault a pallet, that makes a noise. You move trough grass that makes noise. You walk towards a spirit that you think is phasing, you still breathe, also on a lot of skins you cant tell if she is phasing or just standing still.
-
It doesnt work like that.
-
Garbage idea.
-
Because it is actually something else to do than doing the m1 snoozefest.
-
Stealth is bad for survivors because it induces tunneling on other survivors. If 3 survivors are dead and you are the only one left alive because you stealthed you likely also have 0 hooks on you, meaning you actually forced the killer to tunnel your teammates instead of distributing hooks around evenly.
-
So you tried to bait the last survivor to come into the basement and he didnt fall for it. Where exactly is the problem?

Las time i reply to you because you don't understand how the game works. Start of the match, you have to find a survivor down them pick them up put them on a hook then go see what gems are about to be done meanwhile ruin is about to be gone soon. Come back here when you at least get to purple ranks as killer then you'll understand
I am. And good thing undying shows you survivors working on totems, so you don't have to search.
-
2 minutes is a gigantic amount of time.

You Didn't say anything about my ruin being gone in 2 minutes of almost every match lol
So this combo bought you 2 minutes, or 2.5 ( probably more ) gens, while doing nothing. Yeah thats very good value for 2 perks.

@TheClownIsKing said:

I already made a point of saying IF a killer is keeping up enough PRESSURE that doing gens while RUIN is ACTIVE that THEN totems should be searched for. However, if someone KNOWS Ruin is active, and there is a dull totem right next to that gen, with Undying being as popular as it is, survivors SHOULD be cleansing dull totems they come across and clearly see.
I disagree. I think working on the gen is better.
-
I wonder why all the dbd streamers with thousands of hours never do totems. But I am sure you are correct to do totems, not like gens need to be done. Survivors have all the time in the world.
-
You don't.
-
SoloQ in red ranks is a death sentence.
-
Against a good killer doing totems is all the time they need. If your whole team is busy for the first minute cleansing totem then the killer already won. Ignoring the fact that the killer will probably interrupt you doing so.
-
Installing it.

I mean I usually just run a good distance and stop running at a good spot so I dont leave scratch marks. The spirit either keeps going or has to stop and look around for me. No perks required
Good spirits don't need scratchmarks to know where you are.
-
They still hear you going trough gras or using pallets.
-
Yes i did that, in the end I had no rerolls and 3 quests for killers i dont play.
-
And give up the bloodpoints? No.
