  • Another dc bait thread. Your not getting a 24 hour ban for 1 dc. Its not the servers. Its something on YOUR end. If its servers you would have mass complaints. Own up to your temper tantrums, or get a better cpu, isp, nic card, find the malware ect.....

  • Sweaty survivors , I slug. Normal, let the races begin! Of course depends on hatch placement. When it appears right next to your third hook you get to ask how you REALLY feel about #4

  • If the entity had a child it would be the babadook. Similar wants/needs but not power level. Don't think it's a good killer. too intangible

  • I saw a documentary about this called Children of the Corn. The struggle is real

  • Sometimes hex totems are hard to miss against the background. Id like it if instead of glowing orange they pulsated black mist kinda like the hatch. Make you do a double take to make sure it's a hex. Just a thought

  • You DEMANDED an answer in the wrong area. If you want real answer ask technical. But here's an answer for your demands: Get a better ISP

  • there ya go, thats better

    0 gen pressure,

when a huntress is getting close, you leave the gen, when you see Myers not too far, you leave the gen, same with ghostface, deathslinger you leave it, any killer that have an ability to cause you trouble the longer they look at you the more dangerous they become so you leave the gen to avoid getting hit, trickster isn't totally needed, his knives DOESN'T interupt you, he could throw 16 knives at you from the distance and if your gen is 95 you could finish it before going down since they don't interupt you, you can interupt an action with a clown bottle, a hatchet injures you, a shot pulls you to the deathslinger, getting stalked puts you at risk, this guy you can tank 15 blades before going down and finishing your gen, no pressure.

    No snowball effect

huntress can attack many survivors at the same time, spreading the damage quickly, deathslinger can somewhat do that, plague you can puke on 1 survivor and leave them, you already did your pressure, with trickster you have to 100% focus all your attention to one survivor until they at least lost 1 health state, you can't multi target in any way until they take damage, he's purely and only solo target, even with deathslinger you can hit 1 and shot another, it's 2 injuries in a shot time, he can take twice the time to injure just 1 survivor.

    No power pressure

if the survivor manage to loop the trickster just for a few seconds because of long walls or houses or anything, any progress you had with your power is lost and so you have to hit them again to get it back, with ghostface you can save it for later, you either totally focus and land blades quickly or by the time you remove a health state you could have M1 instead, or you lose all your progress and you applied no pressure and the other 3 survivors kept working the whole time.

    110% movement speed

His power is extremely far away form being too lethal to justify him being a 110% killer, he's a 1v1 killer, even more than deathslinger, no reason at all why he should be 110%.

    Reloading will cost the progress

you had few blades left and managed ot land a few but aaawww break line of sight and now you have to reload even tho you were 1 blade hit away from a health state and they fully heal from the blade hits and you have to hit them again

    M1 remove the laceration

you managed to hit a few survivors that were close together with few knives, one is now close enough, hit them, well now you wasted maybe 12 knives on them and also the time it took you to throw them and it could have been time you could have saved by doing a M1 instead.

YES those who will play the trickster a lot will use his power at the right time, but he is still overall a very bad awfully weak killer.

    Some nice points

I’m quite looking forward to him tbh. I’ve never been into Kpop but I like his aesthetic and want to see what other outfits there are going to be for him.

we are already chasing survivors in onesies, togas and dressed as elves and Xmas presents so it’s not like the game is strictly dark and gritty traditional horror anymore so hopefully we get more killers with varied designs

but ######### if his power isn’t weak lol he needs a buff when he’s released

Thats not a valid argument, comparing killer motifs to survivors. At least compare trickster to puddles which is equally dumb. Survivors are not survivalists out on a hunting excursion. What they where caught wearing is irrelevant

  • Been playing survivor all morning, about 20 games... Killer difficulty has actually been pretty good with varying ranks. But survivor has been strange. Still too many trying to do rift objectives, so strange time to do a trial. I do seem to be getting thrown in with more swf groups than usual (judging by game play)

It really isn't. I meant that I get spanked to death by killers because I go twinsies with someone else. I'm a good player who thinks about the killer. I don't bully killers, you child.

hahahaha yeah you can tell your totally not "toxic" I'm sure you and your friend play perfectly fair, whatever that is. This had to of been a bait thread

Yeah, I remember coming to this tome five minutes early waiting for the new level to unlock.

Totally understand you want to play stealthy as long as its not the corner stealth haha for me i enjoy the chases and trying to outmind the survivors or killer if im playing survivor. Sad thing is that kind of playstyle needs more time which isnt given to us atm

I think developers frown on stealth in general. no fun for the killer. Take an afk killer round... perfect evasion, you never saw the MF. but then look at the "evasion" score BP lol.....but stealth and chase strat is killer dependent

  • @GeordieKiller said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2030199#Comment_2030199

Basically 1 hook all survivors so alot of slugging tunneling etc or going for 12 hooks even though theres a higher chance of not getting 4k but you have alot more chases and interactions between the survivors

ahh gotcha. 4k for sure. killers not here to run in circles or play tag. As a survivor I prefer stealth play over looping(no trails, not hiding in a corner stealth)

  • if I'm a killer, killing is fun. Define more fun

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2028803#Comment_2028803

Doesn't justify being annoying to anyone else. The same logic can be applied to survivors who were tunneled.

"You tunneled me so therefore I'm going to flashlight click and teabag at you any chance I get" they were annoyed so therefore it was justified right?

If your spending your time teabagging and flashlight clicking while being tunneled it would be more a question of competence than whether its annoying. Thats like speed dating hooks

  • playing like that isn't, complaining about the repercussions is

  • If your sabo or flash light i feel like your playing sweaty and ill treat you accordingly . It also makes sense to get rid of someone who is going to ruin your hook after a chase. You sound like the loopers who are asking why they are face camped or tunneled on the hook. If your the biggest threat why would the killer let you go?

  • Mori is like a treat. Seeing it to much would lessen it

  • I haven't had this issue but BHVR could work with Steam, Sony, Microsoft ect..and disable play from that service during a routine maintenance window with notification. Still won't help with system crashes of course

Again if your teammates are ACTUALLY getting camped you don't need a key.

right!?? The only thing a key is doing is screwing over his teammates lol

First of all, the claud got downed in killer shack, thus going to the basement. And, as I said, I connected a strong loop with killer shack and managed to loop him because he didn't want to break the pallets. So breaking the totem was impossible.

Looking for hatch? I didn't really care about surviving. I wanted to get at least one of us out. Best course of action is to lure him away but I was too late, the claud died. So I lured him away for the last survivor to escape.

You don't care about surviving,...in the next post you say the primary objective is to survive. So your upset because you didn't get a 4s.

  • @CLAUDETTEINABUSH said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2023860#Comment_2023860

Hm quite interesting that you think that. To make sure you understand the situation:

A totem which is on the killer shack specifically, 2 survivors injured one in basement and the gates are one behind the shack and one on a wall close to the shack. The killer was standing in a hill and could see both gates and shack, so it's impossible to do the totem. I tried going for the furthest gate and got immediately chased.

So how exactly could I escape? Doing bones was literally impossible since I was being chased on the killer shack and a loop next to it (I connected killer shack with a loop cuz the killer didn't destroy the pallets). So please explain to me what we could we done differently, without comms as well since I rarely swf. The best scenario was a 1 man escape since saving the guy from the basement was also impossible. That's why I lured him away so one of us can at least escape.

And again, I'm not saying it's op I'm explaining how frustrating and punishing it feels against it. As I explained my situation was a 1 in 1000 situation. Also to be clear I'm a hybrid player, so I suppose "YOUR COMMUNITY" means the survivor community. Which yeah you're correct actually, since the survivor players are mostly punished by this perk. And since I 'attack" something that feels unfair in the survivor side, you could say that this forum is kinda survivor sided.

Survivor sided, killer sided...one side always claims its the other, but your post started with claiming its the opinion of the entire community. So gave ya a bit of flak.

"and a teammate tanks a hit" What do you mean? Took the hit for another player? How did Claud get caught? The bones in the killer shack are not well hidden sounds like there was time to do them before the last gen. Nobody noticed them?

You felt punished for playing well..meaning looping? If you looped the killer all game stands to reason the killer MIGHT be a little aggro with you. You should of looked for the hatch if he was camping on a hill watching the gates, but you chose to be altruistic. YOU still could of "won"

  • Good to know YOUR the community. The killer in your scenario wasn't rewarded with noed, the killer was rewarded for altruistic teammates being greedy. if they just left the killer would be stuck with a 1k, but they got greedy and went for 4 survives. There are just as many situations where noed winds up being a wasted perk slot.

  • Ya didn't list my in-n-out :.( no west coast love lol So I guess im going with medicinal fried chicken

The first RE game has the most puzzles. There are plenty of things making it fit. I mean it was a huge inspiration for Silent Hill. Without RE that probably wouldn't exist. There are so many options for a killer or maybe even multiple killers if they wanted to go all out. Lisa Trevor, Leechmen, RE1 Tyrant, Mr. X, William Birkin, Nemesis, Dr. Salvador, Jack Baker and more. All these characters fit perfectly. RE was never a puzzle game unless its the first one I guess. But RE is more of a survival horror game than a puzzle game. Its a survival horror franchise with puzzles.

yeah I know...your right, but I just don't see the "fit" ...just having some fun ;)

those are cheaters! I once searched for mods for RE2Remake on an internet site, an alternative to nexus mods, and saw that there was also dbd listed. I was curios because why would they have an online game there you cant mod online games besides those icons things. Then I clicked and was blown away how many cheater and cheat programms there was on this site! Like 8000 downloads of one hack tool just on this one site... I was highly disgusted by this! SO I remeber that this cheat tool with 8000 downloads had a such function to reset the rank.

I really hope devs could visit more of this sites and download this tools to reverse engeener how they work and block them somehow.

lol yeah because you can trust a reputable sight like that. No way were they putting up bs so you can download their malware. Plus they know at least 20 hot people in your area looking for you! How could you resist!!????

  • Grind challenges encourage bad play. killers farming pallets and gens, survivors going for unsafe unhooks ect...The healing grinds take the cake. survivors running across the map to try to force heal you. its feels like boarder line molestation

  • Just had a match as a Plague looking for the hatch, where I hear a hurt\crying survivor in close proximity so im looking for her and then tinker goes off and she was workin on a gen across the map.

  • plant wasn't a boss just one of the things you had to solve a puzzle to get a part to pass that area....maybe that was in 2....anyhow RE is a puzzle game set in horror but I wouldn't want to see either of those here

  • was there a burnt offering? if the survivors get spaced out somebody's going to get the short straw

  • depends on survivor style. loopers HATE her. Stealth just listen to her moan then go back to the gens.

    in Spirit Comment by NoxVeno
  • Killing is a skill, surviving is a strategy, whining is playing dbd

  • Sure Resident Evil, the plant boss from the first one. it can't chase but you have to do the 5 gens in the right order then find the red glyph. oh and you have to drop a pallet to get to the exit gate. yeah.......

  • people outa work/school. its SWF time so survivor is backed up

I mean in proximity to a close but undetected one, like Small Game.

no its an environment sound. it opens in player proximity but you don't have to be looking at it, you can hear it open and close. But no nothing like small game.

  • @Abbatoir_Blues said:

Is there any kind of audible cue associated with these? In multiple trials, having the challenge activated, I keep hearing a strange sound I can't otherwise identify.

yeah....there is a ripping? sound when it opens and closes. but its kinda quiet

  • because -1/[2^1/2)]....... thats like always the answer

  • ok boss

  • After unlocking perks why would you care about bloodpoints? MAYBE pips or whatever when ranks actually mean something.. in the end the object is to kill or survive.

  • well and to state the obvious playing both compliments each other as you know what that killer is looking for or as killer knowing the tendencies of a survivor group/build

  • Very true. I usually let the wait times decide for me

Why be so salty over someone's opinion, you could just say you disagree and respect their opinion? Everyone has their own ideas and it's okay if they disagree with your own ideas, but you don't have to be rude. Again just simply say you disagree and that's okay, most likely neither of you will change your opinion by going back and forth.

ehhhh..knee jerk reaction from saying you don't know what I'm talking about. Just a little salt to go with that vinegar lol...actually i agree on the monsters. wouldn't mind seeing vampiric or werewovles.

Edward Scissor hands could work lore wise though. The entity took him, and even though he fought back he could not retain control and would be turned into a sadistic murderer. Something similar to wraith; he was a normal guy, he killed someone "Accidentally" and the entity took him to play in it's game. As far as a rainbow bright cosmetic, like I said, we already have stuff like that. So I think it's less that my logic contradicts itself and more that you don't understand what i'm saying

no, it shows I know exactly what your saying.. And though rainbow sissor hands is better than trickster he still doesn't fit. Why not godzilla since we already have demo

  • @PerfectlyPink said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1999092#Comment_1999092

An assassin and a protagonist from a slasher are way different. I do think the trickster does fit though, especially considering a lot of the bright neon skins we have. We basically already had kpop killers and survivors.

With your logic we can just add Edward Scissor Hands dressed as Rainbow Bright and we would be fine as long as somebody writes a line saying he likes to hear screams.

  • @PerfectlyPink said:

Kinda? I mean it's a game about slashers, idk that John Wick fits that profile. The trickster is a kpop idol that tortured and killed people and used their screams in his music. People seem to forget that this isn't a horror game focused around atmosphere and adrenaline pumping suspense. It's about slashers, movies and shows that are pop icons filled with crude humor, comical and extravagant killing, and stories so shallow that they seem to be a parody of themselves.

Good do know we have the definition of what the game is. Nice line you drew there. John Wick who kills with anything and everything doesn't fit but this travesty does because he records their screams. No Wick would been the better choice. But your right he doesn't fit here....along with mr kpop.
