On steam you can report their names. No idea about the epic or microsoft store.
-
I'm completely with you! Let's remove the tantrum by removing his chainsaw entirely.
-
strangely all killer using this bug are in anonymous mode. like they knew what they are doing.
-
the sound she makes i annoying.
-
add second objectives for survivor and killer so it takes pressure of both partys.
-
ok, make hex perks noisy like boons and 14 seconds to set up and they are not up from the beginning and you have to find a totem first.
edit: also a map wide soundeffect when the killer puts a hex down
-
i just had a killer from germany (german steam profile and friends from germany) with a permanent red ping. is this enough to report the player for vpn abuse or what proofs do i have to bring to proof lagswitching?
-
No idea whats up with matchmaking the last days. Last game was a 3 man swf (2000 hours min) + me against a 196 hour demo on RDP.
-
Nothing to complain this time!

Idc if Survivors spawn on a gen.
Survivors shouldn't be able to spawn separately. They should all spawn together, imo.
yes the Shroud of Separation should be a survivor offering
-
I like how @AetherBytes and @KayTwoAyy blames it on the survivor but they can clearly see that the killer has continuous red ping or packed loss (its the same symbol for killers). As it looks for me, the killer ping is about 1000 - 1500ms, maybe with a little packed loss.
BHVR why is the killer ping nowhere displayed? BHVR why is the ping limit with 2000 way over the playable state?

I mean some places in the world don't have a server near them and no matter how great their internet they're gonna have bad ping. Do they not deserve to play online games?
here is the situation for EU servers: players with permanently red ping come mostly from south africa, russia and the arab emirates. I was told that DBD uses the amazon cloud servers. when i look at the location map from aws, south africa and the arab emerates have their own location and russia would have locations that are much closer than frankfurt germany.
The answer is on the question of whether they are earning it is yes, but not at the expense of others. Playing DBD is not a basic human need that should be alike. If thier infrastructure does not allow to play with a reasonable ping DBD, then other games are more suitable for them.
My question was asked directly to the developer. Why doesn't he answer this question himself?
-
sounds like you should have switched target and meg is an awesome player.
edit: typo
-
not to forget plague, which can take away a complete health state unless you are hiding the whole game.
-
not at all, that's normal. the ping function in the lobby sometimes shows a red ping when you load a large steam profie.
I talk about people whose ping never goes below 300.
-
Or the good old skillcheck at the ending of a heal, that make you jump into a locker or drop the pallet.
-
It's over 1 month since the last code was released. I think the priorities are different now.
-
they should at least add a buttion that shows my build to the other survivors.

Unless they recently got updated, the staff credits are severely outdated. Last time I checked, Not_Queen was still listed as the only lead community manager
I did not know that. if they don't update their credits anymore that would be very sad.

1 in 20 games i spawn in the killers terror radius

I'm talking about the "it flew over my shoulder!" argument, when they are clearly playing female survivors with smaller models.
Smaller model =/= smaller hitbox.
and i wanted to throw up on hatchets.
-
@WesCravenFan said:
They all have the same hitbox.
And I wish more people understood this when they whine about huntress hatchet hitboxes. You only think it went over your shoulder, Feng, because you have a smaller model than say, Ash Williams. That doesn't mean you are a smaller TARGET. You get hit in the same sized hitbox as every other survivor.
people rightly complain about the hatchets. I see the player model as less of a problem than the hitbox of the hatchets themselves. they can fly past walls by a hair's breadth, but when they hit the survivor hitbox, they're way too big. there are extremely unfair hits when the killer is lagging, which is unfortunately normal on EU servers.
-
based on the credits, there are two full lobbys (killer + 4 survivor) of people that can test things. personally, I think it's way too small because you have to write reports in addition to testing.

A metric for... what? It's meaningless. All it does is track a monthly reward stipend.
i'm on your side that its meaningless but people like progress and have a goal. when they are denied their goal by things that are not in their control, then people complain.

nothing changed between the announcement and the PTB. The builds weren't even altered. We clarified wording on a perk plus the clarifications on the bloodweb UI...but those were not changes, and not further nerfs.
- additional billy nerf as mentioned in this thread
- increased recovery time from the ground
- increased healing others on the ground
- syringe time nerf
- kinship not longer works on cages
- deadhard additional nerf from the first text to the current
thats all very impactful things, at least for the players.
-
@Mandy said:
Please remember that this is only a PTB and not all of these changes might make it into the live build. We're testing things on this PTB and things can definitely change before they go Live.
additional things have been nerfed between the announcement and the ptb. so we can assume that more will lose their usefulness?
-
I'm a survivor main and still have no idea why PR was problematic but i guess they nuked the perk because they want a new meta now.
Its now genrush vs antihealing meta and all it dose is scare away new players who cant loop.
-
as long as it's fun and i have successes from time to time then i keep playing, otherwise there are many other games that are fun.
I mean against plague you never healed and a 4 man escape was possible.
-
I would say the usage rate of DH in mid to low mmr on EU servers are lower compared to north american server because on EU server are a lot high ping killers.

Don't forget staircases!
And the original Blood Lodge building used to have a massive bump outside the window that caused traps to sink underground.
Yeah, love that mid staircase traps.

does the visual terror radius activate for the lullaby before the average human hearing threshold is reached?
-
How to make something that could have seen some use for good looper to something that will be buried under the other 90% useless perks.
-
No Mither without any question
-
I watch their aura while i hang out on the hook
-
I'm currently training my teabagging skills in combination with sprint brust.I'm currently training with SB as replacement for DH and various other gen rush perks and I see a lot of X thousand hour survivor do the same. the results are not as bad as expected. my main opponent is still the killer ping, but that's another story.
-
Everyday I click on the trash can and everyday i get a new killer daily. I guess i keep clicking.

Why do people just completely forget perks that help healing speeds?
You know perks get nerfed so other perks can shine. Now healing gets nerfed so maybe its time to start using perks that help healing?
Stop using the same 4-5 perks and try something new once in a while.
and as a soloQ player, how should i know what perks my fellow players have and whether it makes sense to let me heal? With crossplayer you can't even talk in the prelobby chat about your build
-
when i read all this here, i lose interest in dbd today, even before the update.
-
the behavior of certain groups or nations should not be discussed in the forum, even if they are not named directly as this could lead to possible discrimination. creating such a contribution that could take a possible discriminatory direction will lead to a strike.

@Peanits said:
If you only buff weaker perks, you end up with power creep. Each perk needs to be better than the last in order to dethrone the meta, and so over time perks would become stronger and stronger. Eventually you'd reach a point where perks are ridiculously strong and have far too much impact on a match, making skillful play less important than the perks you brought.
Even beyond that, this simply is not feasible. There's 228 perks in the game. Even if we assume that 50 are in a really good spot (already meta in this case) and don't need any changes whatsoever, that's over 170 perk updates that need to be done just to balance things.
Instead, we do a bit of both. Most perks are already in a decent spot and see a good amount of use, but there's a few outliers that either don't get used enough or are used way too much. Bringing the top few down and some of the bottom few up is a lot more manageable. You pretty much answered yourself with your example. With Dead Hard being weaker, suddenly there's a lot more reason to bust out Lithe, Sprint Burst, or another exhaustion perk instead.
why change something in the fist place? are you not happe with the kill rates?
-
He is clearly not talking about abuse of game mechanics, he is talking about abuse of rank.
the thread starter is devotion 11, so has quite some experience in the game and he's talking about something he doesn't enjoy even if it's at the limit of the game mechanics. it's right and important to say what you don't like in the game.
most players will agree that playing this way is not fun. now the question arises once again, if nobody is having fun with it, except for a few special individuals. why doesn't the developer change anything? maybe because he doesn't have enough feedback yet to justify changing the game mechanics? without this feedback there will be no change.
I would like to honestly say thank you for your contribution and would like to encourage you to use the support's well-hidden feedback form to present your legitimate concerns there as well.
-
you might think that the one who aproves the decisions has no idea about his game. but maybe he himself would like to say a few words about the ideas behind all the changes.

So because nobody is bringing BT anymore and barely anyone uses OTR, tunneling cant really be a problem, right.
And camping is no problem because nobody bothers to equip Reassurance, got it.
Based on nightlight, OTR is the 11th most used perk. BT is obsolete.
Reassuarance is in its current form to bad to prevent a killer from camping.

bubba, camping the gen i'm repairing

You are simply inside your on box. boons have 0 real counter play, CoH was simply the only one consistent enough to run every game.
I've only seen a handful of killers use shattered hope in my playtime. so it can't have been that big of a problem.
