With PT you repair the gen in 46 seconds, without it it's 52 seconds, it is faster... I dunno what is your argument by saying it removes the multiples survivors penalty. If it removes the penalty then the gen goes faster...
there is this survivor saying.
how long does a gen takes with a single person? 90 seconds. How long does a gen takes with two people? still 90 seconds.

Ok, but you can’t look at it at a grand overview. You have to break it down into the scenario that prove works well in.
For instance, there are countless times me and a buddy will spawn together and immediately hop on a gen w/ prove, and have it popped before the killer even has time to cross the map and pressure us off. God forbid you have 4 survivors spawn on a 4 side gen… it’ll be done in what, 25ish seconds with prove?
Boom, >40 seconds in the game and you’re already down a gen. Prove is also invaluable to breaking 3 gens early.
Prove allows you to hit gens at a rate that can be difficult to keep up with.
right, it doesn't make the gens faster overall. it just puts more pressure on the killer to pressure of the right persons. the tradeoff is that if the killer gets you all the pressure is gone.

Don't revelate !
And my previous message has an error, if both survivors are injured, have PT and Resilience equipped, the gen is done in 35 seconds, time for a hase against an injured survivor with a m1 killer.
So nothing is effective anymore, on the killer side.
yes, resilience is now a very strong perk.

Does that not… make gens repair faster?…
the man-seconds to repair 5 gens stays the same = not faster

This is completely out of control now, all gens done in less than 5 minutes... i'm sorry but it is totally unplayable.
Killers have no choice, they have to camp/tunnel or else it is a guaranteed loss.
Survivors have so much tools that they do not need to heal anymore. The gen rush is so huge that why would you need to heal yourself ? With resilience and prove thyself, 5 gens just fly in 4 minutes.
With 20 pallets/windows per map + some semi-infinite spots when you combined a window/pallet, even when injured you can still get a 40 seconds chase...
The current state is completely awful.
With 2 survivors equipped with Resilience + Prove Thyself, how long does it take to do a gen ? It is a global 24% speed boost in repairing a gen for each survivor, you can repair it in around 45 seconds i guess.
It is bullshit.
- Gen regression doesn't work
- Hit & run works against the killer
- Slug doesn't work
:)
I'm sorry but prove thyself dont makes gen repairs faster, it just removes the efficiency penalty for multible survivors on one gen (and not even that completely).

50% escape rate would be important for the player to enjoy the game for a long time. unfortunately the mmr does not work in this direction. Of course you get simpler killers the lower your own mmr is, but you also get much worse team members and without good team members the escape rate drops significantly. purely because of this consideration, mmr can never work properly for survivor. At least not the way it's designed now, based on escape rate.
-
you are not alone noticing this. there are recent videos from content creators that show exactly what you described.
I find it very difficult to prove the run speed buff by video unless it's a walking nurse without addon.
-
its disabled for one week after the patch because of the reworked maps.

i like the idea for offerings to exchange the map rng. like pallets, windows, random stuff on the ground, day or night and light.

People will facecamp anyway even if the objective is going for hooks, you get extra BP, shards, etc.
some yes for sure. some like to let ppl bleedout, but most killer are normal persons they just want to get the maximum out of every game.
-
don't nerf it, just incentivize a healthier playstyle.
-
the ping component should be removed. i got grabbed far too often even though the other survivor has already unhooked and runs away.
-
yeah right, all survivor should start the trial on the hook and only the 4% gang wins a chance to fight against the killer.
-
I would also like to add this case
initial situation: gates are open. all survivors healthy. one survivor gets injured and runs out still injured through the gate and left the trial.
bug: his face the darkness hex stays lit and the remaining healthy survivors keep screeming until his totem was cleansed
-
wallhacking and permanent bloodlust are commonly seen nowadays.
-
every killer with a ping above 300.
-
In what regions you guys are playing? @Unicorn @GannTM @Pulsar @RpTheHotrod
-
sure, but make boons mapwide, same noise level as hexes and the killer has to spend 14 seconds to break it.
-
i think this is a bug, but no idea how and when that happens but occasionally the killer has no collision.
-
If you are on steam, try to disable "Steam Networking"
Also "Disable Community Content"

Is the visual terror radius triggered by Wraiths breath too?
-
less oppressive than i thought. survivor play more altruistically.

There will always be cheaters in games. You cannot "fix" this.
there was hope
-
dont forget to tunnel, facecamp and hit people on the hook.
-
oh boy, now i cant rage quit after the upcoming patch and instead i have to do the rift.
-
unfortunately there are a lot of cheaters on both sides. just got out of a game where a killer used super speed if nobody was close. he obviously doesn't know that kindred also shows his aura across the map.
-
based on my nightlight stats, twice as many killers disconnect as survivors
-
There are players who make the game enjoyable for everyone and there are players who love to accumulate bad karma.
-
the team doesn't even have the pride to update their own credits. fixing the bug probably exceeds the work load capacity of the dev team.
-
100% killer makes awful survivor lobbies by randomly putting survivors together. 100% survivor gives you a random skill killer with a well fitted survivor team.
at least that's my experience. logically, shouldn't it be the other way around?

For an RPG that allows you to create your own character from scratch? Sure. Mass Effect allows you to do this. You can play a Male Commander Shepard or a Female Commander Shepard. You can romance Liara or Ashley if you are male, Liara or Kaiden if you are female (Kaiden is added for males in 3.) That's great, and for an RPG it works. But this is not that type of game. Even the Resident Evil series is a specific story about Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, Chris Redfield, etc. As fictional characters written and created to tell a specific story, they have a gender and sexuality. Bringing them, or any original survivor BHVR makes, doesn't change that.
aren't there infinitely many variants of each survivor in the trials? like a multiverse?
-
Well, i reported a cheater once and that video has still 0 views. But maybe he was already banned by the time they worked on my ticket.
-
how about showing the killer ping in the lobby? survivor ping as number would be great too
-
yes, got one today
-
I don't think any of the survivors or killers should be assigned a gender or sexuality. every player should decide for himself how he plays his character.
-
@HugTheHag said:
They won't ban without proof (as they shouldn't), and proof is video/screenshots.
So reporting griefing or cheating with only ingame report does pretty much nothing (unless chat abuse iirc)
However, it IS necessary to have reported in game when you do a support ticket so that they can check that you have indeed faced the player you're reporting and that you're not just making things up.
correct as it should be. so why is BHVR write on their own support page that customer support tickets are optional, i.e. proof is optional?
-
camping or tunneling should not be penalized. however, killers should be incentivised for not doing it.

They help more often than you think, but like the vast majority of games you'll never really know as they don't really give feedback on actions they taken. Like I know they have a lot of backend data points they collect and what not, but for obvious reasons we'll never know to what extent they can see what happens in game, but they can probably tell when a game's went far longer than even the most generous estimate.
Though, if your 100% sure they don't do anything just consider it as every time you report something you need evidence. If that feels like too much of a hassle then I guess don't report? Though I strongly suggest reporting.
My point is not whether reports make sense or not, but why the categories say that a customer support ticket is optional. so no additional evidence like screenshot or video is needed. in my opinion this is simply wrong.
Cheaters must be reported with evidence as they have no data on what is happening in the game. this was written here in the forum by the official staff several times and is also stated in the permanent ban support page. So someone who has infinite items or all perks cannot be recognized by the system and nothing of the sort is recorded and you need a video to proof someone was cheating.
How should a support employee then be able to tell from an in-game report whether "Holding the game hostage" is present or whether it was just a 3 gen?

I don't work for BHVR, but every report requires an in-game report. You can then bolster your report with screenshots, videos, etc. via a support ticket. You don't have to, but it helps greatly.
Generally speaking, if you're going to report someone it is best to have a video of it. Especially if you're reporting things such as suspicion of cheating, exploiting, or things like holding the game or you hostage. Endgame chat related reports are usually where screenshots are fine, but if you're already doing something like streaming/recording your games just use the video.
I'm 100% sure, just in-game reports for "Holding the game hostage" do absolutly nothing and won't even get reviewed. I'm not even sure that just in-game reports for "Insults, intimidation, hateful speech, repeated harassment" in the chat system gets reviewed and actions taken.
-
Does nobody from BHVR want to clarify what is required to report this gaming behavior?
-
I was hoping that the developer would speak up now and then and explain certain things. But this only happens when people mentally mash up the thread with torches and pitchforks.
-
I just had a game where I had this random skillcheck six times when I let go a gen. so i want to say to the developer responsible for this: please change it, thanks!

They did a while back saying that Camping, Tunneling, and Slugging are all valid strats for the Killer to use to apply pressure.
Hence why they won't just "Get Rid" of those strats or make something that would punish those Killers who use them correctly in a non BM way vs those who use them in a BM way.
@ReikoMori said:

I'm not a dev, but I can offer an explanation.
While not the funnest experience being slugged doesn't produce a state in which the game can't end normally on its own. There are several ways to mitigate the effectiveness of slugging in the game already. Total prevention of slugging would be a very real detriment to killer gameplay which you can tell is something they considered early on as killers do have at least 1 perk that is specifically designed to aid in making it difficult to find a slugged survivor. It is a valid way to pressure the game when used in moderation as at that point you're just maximizing the value obtained from a core part of gameplay. Taking that away would probably require a change to the core gameplay of killers to compensate.
do we agree that 4 man slugging and bleedout without hooking anyone is just BM?
-
because the developers allow it. maybe the devs would like to comment on why this type of tactic is in game.
