Decisive is so powerful that killers play around it just from having an obsession in their games. It has presence even when no one actually has it, that's far from overrated.
-
Only 3 months and I can get a character to level 40.
-
The devs would have to know what they're doing because they can't change DS without also changing other things to balance the scales. Considering their design philosophy has been questionable at best even with data sheets I don't have faith they could pull it off.
-
Wait...there are people who think Freddy isn't at least high A tier? Though I agree with you about the statistics, they're both unreliable and often misinterpreted by the devs.
-
Old Freddy had problems but new Freddy is just "Efficient killer: the character". He's boring as hell because he's good at everything and his powers are so effortless and uninteresting that he never feels engaging to play.
-
Honestly if they just shook up the meta that would be enough to make games feel fresh but they won't touch them for some reason.
-
Game would be in a better state if DS and Undying were gone. Undying specifically is gonna be a case of "We're designing this new hex perk but designed it with Undying in mind", so unless they plan to make all future hex perks token based, they're gonna be underwhelming on account of Undying. Much like DS already makes perks like Unbreakable far more useful than it actually would be and creates problem combos.
But you can't get rid of one without the other or the untouched side will snowball.
-
I don't think it is fine but it's a good bandaid since survivors can pump out gens and have second chances.
-
I feel the same. Admittedly, I use it because the potential is far more than the others but I think the game would be better off without it.
-
I would give up Ruin Undying for DS Unbreakable.
-
You know it's a multiplayer game and you knowingly ruin the game for everyone else. It's selfish, plain and simple.
-
Survivors complaining about handholding is too obvious when any potato can get red rank survivor nowadays. Obvious bait.
-
Why aren't you getting complete potatoes? Yesterday was almost unbearable for me with the stupid crap I saw in red ranks.
Solo Q makes me want to quit every time, I hate survivor challenges but gotta do them cause Battle pass and FOMO.
-
They nerfed 2 niche perks but won't touch meta perks. Some of the changes to the Twins are good but 45 seconds is still way too long.
-
Bloodlust won't change the meta. Killers are too worried about gens to take anything else and survivors will never have a new meta as long as second chances are untouched.
I don't really care about Bloodlust, I just don't have confidence that if it was removed that the devs could properly create content to compensate.
-
I can just imagine the giant building loops.
-
I tend to agree. It could get by on the hex renewal alone, but the fact that it aura reveals at totems and gives no indicator unlike Thrill of the Hunt is what I think makes it over the top.
-
RIP new killers (for the weekend).
-
If I'm a killer, 2k is a loss. All of my worst games end in me losing control and only getting 2 kills at the end, it's not a satisfactory match.
-
Downing someone just out of range of a generator happens too often. Plus we got ruin + undying for hands off regression that isn't tied to only basic attacks. Surge needs a bit more range or a bit more regression, right now it's just a perk with conditions that doesn't even give much payoff.
I do like the idea of the perk but I always felt it came up short.
Edit: I completely forgot it had a cooldown, that's even worse.
-
Range is too short. If it was 48m I would use it but too often I down someone and gens are not nearby.
-
Play both but lean killer because I find it more engaging.
-
It should be in the game because old ruin isn't. Do the totems, you have plenty of time nowadays. If you don't even want to do that, at least remember where some are and take a look before rushing out the gate.
-
I don't even think the game is that great but ya'll have been saying this forever. You said it last year, the year before that, when they changed ruin, when they nerfed X killer, when they nerfed X perk. It's not going to. No one has the balls to follow through despite constantly putting up with the buggy patches, questionable balance changes, and so on.
-
Blight requires the same pinpoint precision Nurse does, except you have to worry about obstacles and are more limited because of it. They designed him without any concern for console controls whatsoever. He's truly awful and is actually the first killer I wish I could get my shards back for.
-
Gamebreaking survivor bugs get fixed in a week. Gamebreaking killer bugs have to wait for the next major patch LOL
-
You're not the only one brother. I'm curious to see some active player counts charts in a few weeks.
-
Would be a nice buff to Trapper, but he's a killer so...should probably just be glad they can't crouch past them.
-
I quit because games are too fast. On the survivor side, lobbies are too long for games that last so short, always felt in control which I think playing survivor should have a bit of tenseness to it. On the killer side, way too stressful to deal with these fast games and all the changes did was make bad killers even worse, killing variety and playstyles.
-
Killers aren't meant to have fun.
-
Decisive Strike and NOED. I don't care what anyone says, games where you don't have to worry about either are funner for killer and survivor.
-
Hey guys, remember dedicated servers? I don't know how some people can still have such blind faith when, while good in theory, have had questionable execution.
-
So the killer downs 2 people and hooks someone else in the span of 60 seconds and you STILL think you deserve a second chance? Sorry but at some point you have to be held accountable for your ######### ups.
-
Sure they can. It's harder when you've invested a great deal of time but sometimes you gotta put your foot down, not being able to do so just shows a weak will in that individual. I played Runescape for over 365 days of in-game time, had max everything at the time that I quit, but I got fed up with the direction the devs were taking it and gave it up.
Just because you enjoyed something in the past doesn't mean you should just continue to enable terrible decision after terrible decision, you gotta draw the line somewhere.
-
Same honestly, I uninstalled today. The Doctor change is actually pretty good, meanwhile I don't think we needed yet another dark map. The ruin change though, even though I did well today when I played, I just don't like the flow of the game anymore.
-
I'd be fine with it. It's a decent game at best in a genre where everyone else manages to somehow be mediocre. There are plenty of other games in different genres that I play that are well above the standards of what BHVR puts out, we just need someone to do that in this genre.
-
I haven't played in a week. I dread playing killer now ever since I heard about the ruin nerf as it was the only thing keeping games only slightly stressful for me. Survivor queues take 10+ minutes on PS4 and besides that I don't want to support what the devs are doing to killer by continuing to play. Hopefully they make some much needed adjustments because I like the game but not where it is headed.
-
Gonna have to nope. Played well she is good, but she is one of the killers most affected by maps.
-
Lol, Billy ain't balanced. Dude has massive mobility at no cost and has an on demand instadown with little consequence for missing. Dude is top tier.
-
Valid reason.
-
It becomes a problem when the game fails to attract killers, given the fact that a killer has the weight of 4 people in matchmaking. Without a killer, that's 4 survivors that have to wait longer. If a decent amount of killers quit because of the change, this will affect the wait in lobbies and matchmaking even more. If new killer players feel helpless and they quit, it doesn't matter how many new survivors they attract, the wait times and matchmaking will likely turn them away.
-
That's why I've stopped playing survivor. I'm not waiting 10+ minutes to play a game that won't even last as long as I waited. And then they keep nerfing killer making me not want to play killer, haven't even played in the last few days.

Yeah so funny to get carried by one perk, while your skill level is far below your actual rank. Why are killers so bad at learning the game and just compensate with the cheapest play possible?
Complain when we slow the game down, complain when we bring things for end game. We should just go in perkless and with no addon, but then you would still find something to complain about huh?
-
The devs balance team.
-
All I know is, I'm gonna have to ignore playing like a 1/3 (maybe even 1/2) of the killer roster once the changes go live because I'm not about that slug/tunnel/camp life, but that's the only way some of the weaker killers will be able to compete.
I do think AT LEAST the toolboxes should have been adjusted alongside ruin.

Why do people play legion? He seems so boring to play and play against. Im not being rude I genuinely want to know what the appeal is?
It's fun to stab people. You get a stab, and you get a stab, everybody gets a stab!

I think if ruin is "gone" a good replacement, and I might get crap for it but it works for me, is Discordance. It allows me to stop people from working on gens together and helps avoid gen rushes. I don't have too much of a problem unless I get put up against some very skilled survivors. Also thanat… I forgot how to spell it. Thanatophobia. That's a good one, too, if you don't mind hitting and releasing rather than following through on every chase.
I've actually been using discordance a lot with no ruin, helps A LOT. Without ruin, I think that Discordance and PGTW are gonna be the core perks for trying to pressure and slow the game down because having 2 people on a gen and not knowing is basically a free gen for them.
-
Gotta go with no on this currently, only 2 real scenarios will play out. You immediately get downed and hooked again, or you run DS and use it and get hatch. DS just hinders a lot of things tbh.
-
Not really. I only really consider it on stealth killers but even then I'd rather use sloppy butcher. Can't ever seem to find 2 flex perk slots except on killers like Huntress who just doesn't flow with most perks, but even then I'm not a fan of nurses on her.

Accidental double post?
