He got burned because he was a child killer, so the angry mob of parents did it. Most of them regretted it afterwars tho.

Wes Craven actually wanted to make him a child molester, but instead made him "just" a murderer.

Also the original version with actor Robert Englund was more a comedical/cynical freddy, while the new actor is more like a creepy pedohile, what was fully intended by Wes.

I would love a original freddy skin so much more than the new one!

    Thanks for the aclaration!

I mean freddy did stuff to kids, so like they didn’t have a problem there.

Didn't the original Freddy Krueger get burnt by a mistake while in the remake version they made him as a Pedophile?

  • I would love a Pennywise and/or The Thing chapter to be honest. About Pennywise, i even wrote how their skills and active should be looking in this thread:

    Hey there guys!

No, this is not a crypost, in fact, is the opposite one. I enjoy playing survivor and killer both in equal terms and, in fact, i have a lot of fun playing them (yeah, we all have bad games, we just need to move on instead of throw cr*p at us like SURV. VS. KILLER isn't it?).

So i was reading as guest (since i never got the opportunity to register) this post: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/169056/most-wanted-lisensed-killers-tier-list#latest

So my brain started working... Why don't make some "perks" or "killer mechanics" to those fictional killers people put in the forums earlier? I just have two since they're my favorites in that list.

(Im not english, so my english may have some grammar nazi on it, i deeply apologize for this)

Here's the one i wanted to show off. I know this is not even playable, balanced or even possible to make in DBD but we're here to share ideas, aren't we? I liked this concept about "stay together or go away and face the consequences".

    Movie: IT

Character: Pennywise (the clown is already picked up so...)

Model reference: IT (2017) interpretated by Bill Skarsgard.

Is there any reason why he loses some of his power meter when he does a basic attack. I know it doesn't really affect much but its just annoying for when you want to use your power again after you get a hit.

Main legion here. Legion is an annoying killer and its made for annoyance more than M1 tbh. You can really farm a lot of points by being a nice guy and using your power. Maybe i'll win the entire forum hate but i like to play with those perks:

    • Thanatophobia (stacks with the power upon hitting).
    • Hex: Ruin (or) Hex: No One Escapes the Dead
    • A nurse's calling
    • Sloppy butcher

Combined with lenght healing perks and power duration ones. That makes the game a hell for the survivors without even hooking them. Of course, they can repair without healing, but that's something nice for you since you can hear pain moanings (or see blood pools if they have Iron Will) to detect them faster.

Since the main idea behind the killer is being annoying, the M1 reduce the power meter. Maybe it should be a bit less, but who knows, i think its OK as how it is right now.

    Have a nice day buddy

  • We all know the matchmaking is currently pretty bad, but let's give them some hope and faith. I mean, im not a programmer (even i know a bit of it) and im pretty sure that the MM expands his search when he's not able to find people in that range. What i don't really know is if the MM counts the ping, region and/or hours of the current user when doing that kind of search.

Reading a bit of the topic, found that the developers wanted to add an "internal" rank to do the pair ranking. Maybe that should make things a bit softer while the issue is currently on?

  • @LethalPugy said:

It is pretty stupid that surviours can do that. A simple boop. And it’s stopped regressing. An easier version of overcharge should probably be base kit.

I don't think is that stupid. With Hex: Ruin you can just prevent that. I use it in all my killers and goes very well if the totem is not found. Remember that you got 100 points for destruction every time they tap the generator, and they have 4 points for tapping it.

  • As a main survivor here i can tell you this is not needed. Most of the killers powers can be evaded by being a bit better than him. There's no power that makes him "impossible to beat".

    • Trapper: Be careful where you step.
    • Wraith: He's not completly invisible and, also, he needs a second to turn visible so you can just run away.
    • Hillbilly: (Actual one) Just try short loops and do not run in front line.
    • Michael Myers: Try to run using obstacles to him not being able to stalk you.
    • Hag: Just do a reverse move when a jump sign goes up. She will usually hit whenever she TP so she will attack to the air.
    • Doctor: He usually blocks small loops, so don't try to loop him in the same spot for a long period of time and move yourself. Use mainly windows since yeah, you can recieve a hit too, but if he can't hit you, a window is more than a not dropped pallet can do for you to win time between both of you.
    • Huntress: Predice his hatchets, don't fall for the classic "gonna drop the pallet" since she will use that time to hit you.
    • Cannibal: (Actual one) Same as Hillbilly, loop in short loops and don't get in his melee range for too long. If you're in his melee range, search a window assap (i prefer the window since the pallet can be destroyed and the finishing animation will last not too much).
    • Freddy (Nightmare): As every M1 killer, just loop as much as you can. He can place dream traps or dream pallets so don't trust too much in infinites and/or strange pallets (for example a place with 3 pallets each 5m).
    • Pig: Be careful and loop as much as you can. Since this is one of the stealthy killers this game has, try to repair in a general POV generators to make sure you can see as much as possible to your behind. If there's no survivor being in persecution, maybe you need to hide a bit.
    • Clown: Use big spaces to make him fail his bottles. This can be a bit harder to deal with since with some addons, the bottles goes from an annoyance to a real deal with the slow. A good clown will throw preventive bottles to spots he doesn't want you to come and/or loop to move to his favourite location.
    • Spirit: Play with his scratches and pain moanings. She will use his sound to find you when the power goes on so you must try to use windows and make her unable to think where are you in the two locations. Since its pretty impossible to calculate the time (she can cancel it, seveal addons can get up/down his power timer), its more a resistance battle than a real fight. Im not very good dealing with this specific killer, i hope someone can give to you better advices!
    • Legion: Depends if he's a good or bad legion. A good legion will make you uneasy for the disturbance with the power. A bad legion (or a good one that didn't found anyone more with his power on after hitting you) will follow you aswell with the power and end it to hit you a second time. For this i love to just wait until he/she stops his/her power in a pallet. Not for stunning, but mostly of time, he/she thinks that you'll stun him/her so will wait a second while the power is being stopped. That'll grant you some precious time. Of course you can run with him/her behind, but since he/she runs as fast as you, there's no deal with the running unless you can lose him in a good loop.
    • Plague: Don't heal and, if possible, use the Iron Will perk. Won't stop the vomiting sound but the pain ones so, atleast a bit of silence.
    • Ghost Face: This is harder to explain to be honest. He's stealthy as hell so im not very good dealing with him. I just try to repair the generators that are in enclosed spaces. If that's not possible, just repair looking at the players online to see if you got marked. If you got it, run like hell and don't look back, my dear friend.
    • Demogorgon: Just don't let him be in chase with you in a lineal spaces like the Hopkins map halldoors. If you can avoid that, just a basic M1 killer then. Try to remove the portals that are in important spots such as generators. Since its a time you waste, you may not want to lose the time to do that. You can too, it's cool, but you must see either the portal to see if he's coming.
    • Oni: This is one of those characters that i never got the opportunity to play very well. He's a complete killer with a nice set of abilities. Since he can turn around, maybe when in power you should loop short spaces if he's following you with the Rage on. I don't really know how the real hitbox of the hit is with the rage, but i feel is pretty high so maybe a short loops can help to you. Im not very good dealing with this specific killer, i hope someone can give to you better advices!
    • Deathslinger: This may make some people annoyed but when im dealing with a Deathslinger, i usually throw preventive pallets. Since his power cannot hit you through pallets, its a very good way to escape. Of course, i only do it when i got grabbed one time so i know the next one is a down for me.
    • Pyramidhead: I didn't played a lot versus him... I feel like the traditional looping system doesn't work well since he can just use his power. Maybe some feints about where are you going to run can help when in a pallet.

Of course, i only have 450h so i can't know exactly how to play this game like people with 1k hours can. This is my humble opinion and any constructive comments are more than welcome. You can differ and you must! everyone plays different, everyone got different tactics, those are mines and, they're not the best, but kinda work for me...

    Hope it worked!

Oh no don't worry <3, I just wanted to make sure my 3 years of a history gcse wasn't THAT wasted (even though I dropped the subject before year four :-:)

Do not worry, since in Spanish the words are moved, i wrote that in my language (edited the first post, you can see yourself), but as i said, you're right, i must edit the main subject to put the english words!

  • Totally right, mistake of mine made. Since im not english speaker, we use another words to describe it. My apologizes!

(In Spanish, is URSS: Unión de Repúblicas Socialistas Soviéticas)

    • Campface (Ghostface)
    • The USSRtress (The Huntress) *Edited for a mistake made, sorry
    • Doritohead (Pyramidhead)

Three of them used by my friends group sometimes. First and third one are how we call those killers actually.

I would love to use that perk. It would be especially brutal with Hex:Retribution or Hex:Thrill of the Hunt.

Well, this could go well with some interesting totem effects. I miss not knowing which totems i've as a killer tbh

  • @Peanits said:

I think if all perks were available in the shrine all the time, it would definitely be a no brainer for most people to just get the perks. But that's the thing; they're not. You've gotta' wait and hope that all three of their perks appear in the shrine, and with how many perks are in the game there's no telling how long that might take. Getting the character is a sure thing. You get them, you spend a few points on them, you have all the perks for sure.

At a QoL i would suggest to have a minor possibility to appear in the shrine the perks you already unlocked since its a RNG-Roulette sometimes. I got almost the same perks in the Shrine so im not much interested in that part of the game for that reason.

Im not saying "the perks you already have must be there!" but "there's an slighly/high chance to not find that perk in the shrine since you already have it unlocked in all your characters", for example.

    Have a nice day.

Hahaaaa, this happened to me quite a while ago except against The Nurse.

As you mentioned, even the endgame collapse can't kill you and the game only ends when all survivors/the killer disconnect.

    Fun memories.....

It was surpisingly funny to be honest, never experienced a bug like that, the game was in the end a "welp, let's disconnect 'cause this won't end seems like"

New killer perk: the Joke's on you!

You like to prank your prey

At the start of the match you make all the dull totems Hex totems until all the generators are completed.

Curious perk, for a moment i readed as every totem was shining! But yours is better, which would be the duration?

I did a joke baseball character but I really like the idea of a perk that decreases survivor movement speed

    Hex: Throw the game

for every missed skill check survivors movement speeds are decreased by 5/10/15%

For the rest of the game?

    Survivor Perk: Take The Shot

    • The trial starts with Take The Shot inactive.

    • After successfully searching a chest Take The Shot activates.

    • After successfully searching a chest, the chest does not spawn an item. Instead the survivor begin's holding a revolver, or a revolver appears in a belt holster.

    • To use the revolver. The survivor must be standing completely still. Hold M2, and then fires with M1.

    • When fired Take The Shot deactivates. Take the Shot can only be active once per trial.

    • If the survivor hits the Killer with Take The Shot, the Killer is stunned for 1/1.5/2 seconds.

    Killer Perk: Predative Instinct

    • Every 360/300/240 seconds Survivor's aura's are revealed to the Killer for 2 seconds.

Predative Instinct does not trump hidden aura's by any means (Ex; Hiding in a Locker, Sole Survivor, and Distortion will all still hide a survivors Aura)

    A synopsis.

Take the Shot is an extremely powerful perk, that would be useful in many situations, while at the same time bringing the horror aesthetic where a survivor finds a gun, and only gets one shot out of it before losing it entirely. It's limited to chests that spawn on the map, so not all survivors can utilize the perk, unless they are a coordinated and use offerings to increase the amount of chests in a single Trial, and even then it's a once per trial perk, so survivor's can't abuse it's power. It's as useful as perks like Unbreakable, Deliverance, and NOED, where as you may not get to use the perk, but it's very powerful for when you do.

Predative Instinct is a base perk simply to keep the the game flowing. In the current meta it's become to easy to simply hide from Killer's, and then in solo matches - survivors will most often ignore the generator objective and wait out for the hatch mechanic when the game isn't going in their favor. This perk allows Killer's a better chance at finding survivors during a stalemate. The timing is every 4 minutes, because a normal match doesn't last longer than 10-15 minutes, so the Killer would only get use out of this strong of a perk 2-3 times in a given match. Unless the survivors were going out of their way to take the game hostage by hiding for the hatch mechanic, which this perk would counter and curb 2-3 survivors taking the game hostage. In addition with the perk appearing only ever 4 minutes, it's not as reliable as other aura reading abilities like Barbeque & Chili, or Bitter Murmur that would - in a normal game - get more use. Also it would be too weak for a Killer to take Predative Instinct with another Aura Reading ability, as other perks are requried for a Killer to take to counter meta perks that survivors normally use. In my opinion Predative Instinct would be an all around balanced perk to have in the game, that makes sense for those that find they are often facing teams that take the game hostage, or otherwise has difficulty finding survivors during a trial.

Impressive, maybe a revolver is pretty strong for what the game is but i like the concept, such a neat idea!

    Status: Cursed!

When you cleanse a HEX Totem, you're Cursed for the duration of 120 Seconds. As long as you are cursed you can't cleanse HEX Totems. The Curse can be lifted by touching a dull Totem, this will become the HEX Totem you destroyed, but it can't be cleansed for 60 Seconds. As Long as you are cursed, one Random perk is replaced with the HEX you destroyed. The Cursed Timer is paused when you're hooked.

Cool! It will be awesome if the curse gives during the "cursed" period a random hex perk to the killer so its really a curse!

  • @ItzPixelYT said:

I did a few perk concepts for a Marty Mcfly survivor.

This is Heavy - Hitting a pallet stun will make the effect last 2/4/6/8% longer... (Enduring counter)

Flux Capacitor - See Auras of teammate survivors who are currently working on Generators whilst you're repairing a Generator.

Hoverboard - *Exhaustion Perk* when triggered your next vault will always be fast and make no noise and leave no scratch marks.

    something like that anyways

I'd love for them to rework some survivor perks already in the game like Babysitter, Technician and all the other useless junk.

Maybe i change the "Hoverboard" perk by something like:

"All those hours using hoverboards really paid off! Your animation jumping windows or pallets are 20/40/60/80% faster"

Since its only the animation it should be okay, the entity can close it anyways so seems like a fair change, all other perks seems like a nice addition tbh, good job!

As much as I love Legion, his power is very uninspired. It's a boring running power that isn't incredibly effective. The lore mentions that they went to Joey's old workplace to vandalise it, so, give them a power to vandalise the map's walls and grant effects.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/J0KRFO587IPV/reworked-legion-power.png

This rework makes him a bit like Trapper or Hag, except the Survivors can't remove the ability (since that's one of my biggest problems with those two Killers) and their only option is to exit the range, making is a very useful area denial tool.

Pretty neat concept, maybe i miss something to chose which effect is put on since RNG sometimes ######### a bit up as you know, if this can be sprayed freely in the walls and is not a "selected region" like the wooden doors added, this could be a potential power indeed!
