To bad she couldn't be a skin for another character... Legion comes to mind but that's all of the Killers that make sense
Not really with how she moved she is more, hellraiser

Although in the books they were all genderless, but hey going by the film here! lol

@Steel_Eyed said:
It would be awesome, no argument. I think the issue with her skin is she has a very different height compared to the other two in game. It wouldn’t look right without changing the camera position. Ends up being a coding nightmare but maybe they’ll prove me wrong.
true she is smaller then the other two, but hey we can dream! or possibly get peeps to code her lol

I know, I like stories like that. I'm lucky to have a friend who plays games, so it's fun to divvy up the people and see who survives.
I did so bad on the last one lol but oddly better then the first

Except the title doesn't make sense any more because there are multiple maps that take place DURING daylight.
Not just as bright as daylight thanks to artificial lighting.
Not just dawn or dusk where you can see everything but at least there are shadows.
Straight-up, middle-of-the-day, bright enough to make Wesker's sunglasses more than a meme, DAYLIGHT.

While I do agree DbD and RE are different games, it's very clear that the devs really want to have their collabs feel more reflective upon the source material, at least to a large degree.
True, but survs talking in the game? Imagine it, Pinhead does not do it a lot, hoping Wesker doesn't and lobbies with survs just saying some lines is good but I couldn't imagine full convos in the game.
-

Youre forgetting that it's Resident Evil... there are lot of cheesy and horrible lines in the earlier games (especially when RE started to branch away from horror and seemed more like an action-adventure game more than anything).
I aren't forgetting it's Resident Evil, just because it's in that game doesn't mean it needs to be in DBD, even some of Ash's lines were cheesey and well, cheesey in the films/series too.
-

You should always be able to disable voicelines and dialogue in any game regardless, DbD is no exception.
Of course, I don't mind some voice, Pinhead had the right balance, Wesker hasn't but then if I heard in the game survs replying back it would sound like some cheesey b movie.
-
@Iron_Cutlass said:
Like imagine when Wesker hooks someone, they say "Youll be dead by the time you see daylight", or Jill escaping says "Wow, if we didnt escape, we would be dead by the light of day."
It would get annoying I think.

It's been 6 years and they still haven't made a city or a beach map. I really thought we were getting a neon cityscape with the Trickster. That would have made up for how goofy looking he is. A beach map could very easily be an island with the water serving as the barrier.
I wanted a pirate ship map! they are too busy with god fricken charms, make more maps, I want eeerie ghostie more I don't know things, animals, npc the zombies are awesome

I'd love for a Hellraiser survivor to be added. Either Kirsty or Joey would be great.
That being said, I really love Wesker.
Kirsty yes! though sadly the newer resident evils game and series are not resident evils, I mean couldn't we of have least Milla! Even if they put the big titty lady in from resident evil the newest one that may of been something but eh.

It for me isn't about winning, I cannot play Killer no more and haven't for a while cos I just get stressed and I rage! lol yes I admit it, wait don't we need a an DBDA, dead by daylight anonymous lol for me was more of the fun, the grind, the lols. I just feel if we keep catering to what needs to be fixed, what is broken, eveything is going to be too easy, too simple, no grind and it's an eh sort of game. I like challenges but the more we pander to peoples this needs fixing, we are fixing everything if it comes to it and this game will loose a lot of what it was loosely based on.

Not necessarily if the spawn locations are RNG and the number of traps are less than the amount Trapper carries himself.
Yeah too much work other then him having his own bag of sacks *s

Althou true, i think he would benefit more if he already had some of his bear traps spawned in loops immediately placed and ready, it would save Trapper time in both collecting them and setting them up.
You do pose a point, but then in many loops survs know they are placed there, but I do like what you mean *s

Eh, i kinda agree but also disagree, i think Trapper should start with way more traps than what he currently has, but i don't think he should start with all traps immediately. Also would like to see bear trap spawn locations be placed closer to Pallets & Loops instead of just random spots on the map.
Yeah but trapper has to go around grabbing them, placing them etc and two gens can pop, he is the only killer that doesn't start with his full potential, least if he had a full bag he can place as he goes.

Old DbD had many bugs, many issues, but it was a horror game... more than now.
I joined back in the beta for how creepy this game was, now in 2022 I play more for its competition because there's no much of horror left just the iconic slashers; also after the SBMM in high rating games it's just sweat so, no room to pretend we are big slashers but more to "OH MY GOD, I'M GETTING GEN RUSHED F******CK"
True honest of how I feel, still love the game anyhow.
I mostly get just tunelled still, that is still a thing no matter what, looking back when I started this game, yes things needed an improvement but, it's like fixing needs for needs sake.

Don't forget as well.
- pre-rework trapper carrying only 1 trap and is unable to reopen closed traps without picking them up and replacing them.
- Wraith being his original weak self.
- Omega blink nurse.
- Insta-Saw Billy
- Pallet Vaccum existing.
- Killers being able to bodyblock the hook since you could only unhook Survivors from the front.
- Pallets auto stunning killers after pick up animation had finished.
- Killer addons having downsides.
- Pre-key rework.
- Hatch closing didn't exist.
- No EGC.
- Survivors loses their items when it's fully depleted during match.
- DC Penalty didn't exist and bhvr had to resort to banning people if they dc'd too much instead.
- Sprint Burst's original cooldown was tied to the perk and not exhaustion since the status effect didn't exist but the cooldown didn't stop going down even though the Survivor was still running.
- Sabotaged hooks stayed gone for good.
- Original Object of Obsession SWF abuse.
- Original Mettle of Man
- No Crossplay
- Old map's original infinites
Those are from the top of my head alone, i'm sure i can think of more if i wanted to.
Trapper still needs a Buff, and just one, let him start with ALL his traps, it's the only real buff he needs.

I started playing again yesterday, after a 6 month break. I've been stuck in an MMR hell, where I die to even the most baby killers, because my team is so bad. I'm definitely not good anymore, but not genphobic. Most games end at 5 or 4 gens if I'm lucky.
But my last match has been the definition of depression.
I load in, hear nurse. I run away to a gen further away to avoid disruption. I almost finish it, before I hear the one final scream from my team. Everyone was downed. 2 people downed, 1 grabbed and dropped from locker. I finish my gen, quickly run to pick up someone. That ***** on the ground crawls a bit so my healing is cancelled, nurse hits me. I get to a window, but I was looking backwards to see nurse, so I bumped into the window. I somehow pull a 360 but unfortunately medium vault, getting downed. Nurse picks me up and face camps... But I kobe on my last try! I quickly used lithe on that window and try to make it to someone else. I pick one guy up, someone uses UB, it all seemed to be a comeback... But it wasn't. The guy who used UB was downed and the other guy got caught in the same locker. I run and bless a totem, try to heal myself. But then it happens.
My dad walks in out of nowhere, blasting Facebook. I COULDN'T HEAR A GOD DAMN THING. I scream "PLEASE TURN DOWN THE VOLUME". But the very moment he muted the phone, the nurse blinks on my face. I could swear that in the 5 seconds of not hearing anything, the Nurse would come. Well, I got face camped to death.
Your dad need to knock or you need a lock on your door >.<

I was like, if you think 34 is old, then I must be ancient.
To be fair though, it's all downhill once you hit 30. One day you're 29 and feeling youthful and the next you're 30 and all of a sudden your back is stiff and sore and you're finding it difficult to work up the will to get out of bed in the morning.
You also have a favourite spatula, wait that's Mr Mushwin, but yeah you drop a pen and wonder if it's worth trying to bend down and get it and usually it isn't lol and you have to adult and try to not pee a little when you sneeze! LOL

Maligant I laughed my ass off too! Now take basket case a low low budget film! lol
The icons I gre up with ARE iconic, but I was wondering if anything now can be deemed as such and I don't think it is a thing now I feel that was a thing but it is interesting to see if anything is an icon now.
-
@zHypnotism said:
modern horror movies are usually less icon-based, the perfect example of this is James Wan's "Malignant" where for the (very good imo) first half of the movie you have no idea what the "villain" of the movie really is to have this sort of suprise effect when it gets revealed. Conjuring has similar tendencies where it starts out with weird sounds and effects until later on the actual menace is revealed.
Older Horror Movies (which are basically thrillers now - which isn't a bad thing, i absolutely ADORE the first movie of scream) where insanely more centered and direct, where Ghostface is introduced to the viewer as villain from the first scene on, similar to Halloween with Michael killing his sister (i think) in like the first scene and is the definite villain of that movie...
SCP stuff is pretty iconic, the Backrooms are eerie and a lot of video game stuff, like the wendigos from until dawn are nice, however not nearly as iconic as Michael Myers or Freddy Krüger... i guess time has to pass first for those to have the chance to become icons...
Also i have noticed a trend with video games picking up Lovecraft-inspired topics / characters (which is really nice too imo, big Lovecraft fan since i first read his Whisperer in the dark) and a lot of games take stuff from that, even non-horror games like Call of Duty Black Ops 3...
and the old icons arent really any less iconic to us then they were to you i presume
Maligant I laughed my ass off too! Now take basket case a low low budget film! lol

I guess now a days the icons of horror would be like Five Nights At Freddys? I myself do fear animatronics greatly and wouldn't mind their addition to the game but FNAF no where compares to the legends of old. The horror masters themselves. Maybe the Conjuring Universe's The Nun is up there now as well. I see many people talking bout her.
I did think that myself with the Nun and Conjouring, even if it was set back way in the day the movies have brought out a good following, I guess I just wish to see the nowadays icons and what peeps watch and see as such in this age and I sound old lol I hated pot dolls growing up myself

Honestly I loved that game. It took anything good about the story of Man of Medan and improved on all the terrible things.
It still doesn't outclass House of Ashes, though. And hopefully The Devil In Me will keep improving the formula.
Ohhh I am playing house of ashes, I was sooo like wow at little hopes story line, whats the devil in me? is it the same sort of chocie thing, I played Hackets Quarry and Until Dawn
-
I never realised the site was bugged soI haven't been getting any notifications lol to me I don't think it's about MMR if I am honest, my opinion, and there has been team spirit and not just with playing with your friends. I just see it so much now, and it isn't about if the person is new or anything because if you know this game you have a feel of it and sort of perks peeps run. I am finding more Killers been a lot more friendly but is this because of rift challenges? I try my best, what's the point in going into a team game or playing such? Also a leading question, do you like the game now? or when you first played and had those first few games and experiences?
-
I also feel as much as the rift is liked, some are selfish in such and wont do anything their whole aim in a game is to fully do their mission and it hurts some games, we get it you need to do missions but amount of times its messed me and my team over, all for free not so great rift freebies?

Oh heck -thinks- I mean I could never rescue Jacob lol let me see if I can have a look, I just played Man of Medan, the narrator in that looks like the terminator from number two and not Arnie lol there is two more in that series but one looks a little too, well not my thing and then these is little hope. Or something, Until Dawn was good too.
- Jacob: There are multiple steps that players will need across multiple chapters to take to infect Jacob as well. In Chapter 3, after Jacob is knocked down due to the tripwire, one of the hunters will approach him. It doesn't matter which of the decisions Jacob makes next, but what does matter is that he throws dirt in the hunter's face. Jacob doesn't die here in The Quarry, but rather he gets away and can become infected thanks to this decision. Assuming that Emma has survived to be in Chapter 6, she and Jacob will be reunited and encounter a werewolf. To infect Jacob, be sure to fail the first QTE on the wooden bridge. Although the werewolf will bite Jacob's neck, he will survive the attack thanks to Emma. To survive the rest of Chapter 6, however, players will need to select Run and succeed in the interruption. Lastly, after Jacob steps into the bear trap, pry it open and the hunters will take Jacob away.
- Jacob (Chapter 6): If players successfully complete the QTE on the bridge, they'll need to select the Run option to infect Jacob here as well. Fail the next QTE, and Jacob will be bitten by the werewolf. Jacob survives in The Quarry long enough for the infection to spread after Jedediah chases the werewolf away.
I hope this helps, I may need to do this game a 3rd time lol
