Probably because the perk is active immediately. Even without tokens, the perk causes extra regression on missed skillchecks.
Then it should appear after a fail skillcheck. Any other Hex won't appear unless the effect is triggered.
Ruin - after getting of an unfinished gen.
Undying - being near a totem
ToTH - cleansing a totem
Haunted - breaking the totem

It's a great hex, especially on backwater swamp. I can never find it when the killer plays it on that map.
Edit: Just had a Trapper send us there using that perk lol 😆
If true that would be a bug. Lullaby shouldn't prompt until it has one token.
-
The only stealth I've seen is the last two survivors hiding around the map waiting on the other to get caught.
-
I find sliding under pallets to be pointless. The delay gives survivors enough distance to nearly loop all the way around. That achievement is not going to be fun.

I'd argue complaining about Killers nodding or Survivors teabagging is up there as the most petty, not a gameplay feature that allows survivors to stall Killer regression instantly during a chase where they should be feeling more pressure not to get hit.
Its a failure on the killer to waste time kicking a gen when they know a survivor will touch it immediately after. I'm not of the opinion we should be rewarding stupid mistakes in time management.
Anyways, the Devs have already kowtowed to this complaint by making a set regession upon kicking the gen.

How is this relevant? You can switch the cosmetic on a character at any time. If I have a daily/archive to escape with Ace Visconti, who I have at P100, I can't do that without playing him, which means I'm going to have 20 minute lobby times as killers constantly dodge and killers will DC on loading if I last second switch. Survivor inventories are also different, and some people might not have all perks on other characters. This feels like you're just trying to strawman into an us vs them.
It relevant because its another reason thrown out why killers dodge. You can change cosmetics? You can change survivors too but why should you? Play who you want wearing what you want.
Killers that dodge survivors will dodge for any made up reason. Hide prestige and they will use somethings else. We had a years where rank was hidden and many survivors were still complaining about lobby dodging.
-
Curse of a popular killer. Doesn't matter if they are OP, balanced, or weak. If they are played often enough survivors will find something to complain about them.
You are just fatigue in seeing the same killer over and over. No need to justify your boredom by nitpicking the killer. Take a break, the honeymoon period will soon be over.
-
Next you want to hide cosmetics.
-
The one change that allowed survivors to pallet save or flash light save without any timing. You could throw the pallet during the pickup animation and at the end of the animation the survivor breaks free.
-
Still an issue in 7.4.1
-
I'll leave the photos from my PTB bug post here.
Before 7.4.0
After 7.4.0
-
Reported this during the PTB. So much for that.

Hows billy factor into this?
They sometimes skip step 2.

History of bhvr killer reworks.
Killer before update: 6/10
Killer after update: 7/10
Killer after bhvr panic reverse: 4/10
-
You know, because it went so well the last two times.
-
If it takes zero skill, what does that say about the survivor that went down? What does that say about the team that can't time manage one gen in the time it takes to chase, down, and hook a survivor?

I remember something about survivor SBMM being per versed killer. Don't recall if it's true but if it's not it should.
One number cannot equally measure the strength versing a Trapper and versing, say, a Nurse.
No, its just typical that stronger killers would be at the higher mmr range. Also there's the soft cap (that was recently adjusted) that throws varying skill levels into the same queue.

First of all, thank you for your detailed explanation. So, let's say I start playing as Chucky and the average MMR of my killers is, well, average (I don't think I'm skilled enough to be in high MMR, though I sometimes think so. If all four survivors escape in my first match, shouldn't it be lowered? Because I couldn't notice any difference in the second one. If anything, they were sweatier.
It takes time for it go down. If you continue to lose every match, it will adjust to down faster for new killers.
-
Killer (per killer):
- Incease on kill
- Decrease on escapes
Survivor (all):
- Increase on escape
- Decrease on death.
New killers will use your baseline MMR. Which is the average of all your killer's. Now MMR doesn't mean much with long queue times as the match making system will prefer a faster match up than waiting for a perfect match.
SWFs will match based on the highest MMR player in the group.
-
3) That's due to BHVR's ######### sound design.
-
Of all the things to complain about this is up there as the most petty.
-
I don't see the word exploit in Mandy's post. Exploit is something you came up with. If BHVR thought of it as an exploit they would say so. Its a bug, and a fairly hard one to fix as it is most likely in the games engine.
Anyways, I bet you don't even realize what "Hug Tech" is refering to in that post. Quite simply, when Blight bounces off the same wall multiple times it forces the Blight's hitbox into the wall. Blights will use this to hook around the object to get a hit. The killer's hitbox going inside the object's hitbox is the bug.
What many on this forum believe, incorrectly, is that Blight skimming against a wall while in rush is the bug. It is not. In fact that is intended in order to give Blight players control if they want to bounce.
So when BHVR finally fixes this bug, you are going to be very disappointed.

Nobody is talking about making Boil Over basekit.
Boil Over was only one of the perks used. Exponential, Flip Flop, along with Boil Over. This post is about picking oneself up which removes the setup perk, Exponential.
-
The sound system sucks because it was updated. The original sound design was far better. When they updated engines, around 4.0.0 I believe, it introduced sound attenuation that has plague the game since. Even today a survivor runs behind an object and all breathing, footsteps, etc, goes mute.
I remember when the update first hit and a 99 gen one meter away would be dead silent if a wall blocked line of sight to it.

Skull Merchant already has this ability, lol. And to a lesser extent, Trapper, too.
Trapper? Really? Trapper has to walk cross map just to pick up his power. A better comparison would of been Plague if anything.

you mean the perks that were nerfed and the part of rcpd that doesnt exist anymore?
you mean you want to make that perk base kit?
-
Think you are wasting time and charges lighting up a pallet.
-
No, but you are strictly obligated to farm. So say the survivor rule book.
-
How does it protect cheaters? You can report them just the same. BHVR doesn't require things like Steam IDs.

but that takes time and one day i played with the same hacker 3 times
Cheaters can change their name just as fast. How do you deal with cheaters not on Steam?
-
Because they want you to watch them leave.

Totally agree with u!
I remember when I started playing DBD, I had around 100 hours and I was matched against a P100 10K hours streamer Nurse.... 😫 and u can imagine how unfun the match was for me. If I knew the Nurse was P100, I would have dodged that lobby for sure.
My Nurse isn't P100 and have half the hours but the outcome would of been the same. More than likely she would of been P9 when you had 100hrs. Would you dodge me based on prestige? Lets say my hours were hidden. Would you dodge because of that?
Doesn't need to be Nurse, any of my killers, all P9 (P6 after Mastermind). Of course you can't see that I spred out my BP spending to tell I've been playing a very long time. So how are you to know?
What happened to you was a match making issue. Probably due to lobby dodging.
-
@CatnipLove said:
On the upside, the more threads we get where players commit to dodging lobbies with high prestige survivors, the quicker BHVR will move to hide prestige permanently. So keep em coming guys.
A skeptical person would suggest that is the point of this thread.
-
This reminds me of a YT video that popped into my suggestions a few days ago. Some survivor toying with a clearly new Demo player and reaming them over using stbfl. Was the cringiest dbd video I've seen in awhile.
-
Greens are the most common offering and addon and there are only so many slots per web.
-
Why not Trapper?
-
We already know how survivors would abuse this suggestion. Anyone who played around 2nd floor RPD library with certain perks in play know.
-
1) "If" the SBMM system is working you will be matched with tryhard survivors no matter the prestige level.
2) Some of the most tryhard survivors I've faced have been low prestige and some of the worst plays have been done by P100s. You should learn the ability to navigate bloodwebs does not help navigate maps.
3) If a survivor has a P100 Jake but plays with a P10 Feng, is that player playing 10x worse than they could?
-
Don't know, are they new?
-
What's your opinion on the upcoming Trickster changes?
-
If you restrict ranked mode you are just pushing those restrictive items on the casual mode players.

Think the cooldown in this scenario is the broken state.

Depends on how much money Netflix wants to milk before pulling the license again.
-
I pay so little attention in the lobby that I often need to press escape to see what offerings were used.
You know, the higher prestige survivors may try to get the killers attention than play gen jockey. Maybe that gives the illusion of tunneling out the high prestige survivor.

Sorry. I promise the next survivor I find I'll tunnel out of the game immediately. They might be stuck with this challenge, after all. 😜
You're such a nice person! 😭
-
What was the reason for stopping? It not being available anymore? Got bored?
-
Could you switch up the builds and tactics with the same killer? Survivors will ######### on weak killers because they can. If playing a strong killer but "fair" I believe you would receive less grief than Demo.
-
And it wasn't being used much before the announcement? How exactly are they abusing it more than usual?
-
Easy until you want to get tunneled. Then you run into the nicest killers you'll ever find.
-
Nobody thinks about the massive upkeep expense. You will need to hire some full time staff and that's going to eat away those winnings real quick.
-
If it's your 10th pallet you may want to consider it.
