they already helped the team by bodyblocking.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3710590#Comment_3710590
Also survivors without DS would be picked up immediately.
A survivor that has not selected DS should not be getting value out of DS. Killers do not want to pick up survivor with DS. DS should not be triggering unless voluntary choosing to pick up DS.
How is being slugged value? Value is being able to go free after being down. The purpose of the perk.

it works like visual terror radius indicator where it shows a heart in middle of screen. For killer, it would show decisive strike icon with circle when the killer is nearby a survivor that is in the dying state. a half black/half white would be 30 second of decisive strike remaining. 3/4 white, 1/4 black would be 45 seconds remaining.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3710539#Comment_3710539
If your decisive strike is 45 second and you down, the tunneler has choice to pick-up or wait 45 seconds. That is called counter-play. The slugging problem is lack of counter-play. the survivor always get to stay alive for 60 seconds or second chance.
You can't ignore them in a way that does not put a detriment to the killer when decisive strike is used offensively for body blocking. A survivor can prevent the killer from seeing timer by hoping into a locker. At that point, a killer pulling a survivor out of the locker is tunneling. A survivor that jump into a locker to DS cannot use DS offensively.
In what situation would a killer ever pick up a survivor with DS? Also survivors without DS would be picked up immediately.

the slugging is the problem. a suggestion would be to put UI element that shows what timer of decisive strike is on. Survivor would far less encouraged to use decisive stirke offensively knowing that killer will wait out their decisive more precisely.
So tell the killer the survivor has DS or display a timer for every survivor? Why should the killer receive such information for free?

End of the day it's +2s. Not a big deal. The only reason survivors are running it more is because they know it's making some killers upset.

A more interesting idea I've seen before was if you took a protection hit over 10 seconds after you were unhooked. Since you should have gotten out of protection hit range at that point. So you have to have been really following or rushing to your ally to take the hit. Itd remove the bubba part at least. And if the same rule applied to OTR and BT ignoring their endurances if they take a protection hit. It makes the time so narrow it's hard for the survivor to abuse it.
Protection hits only register if the other survivor is injured within a range. If the unhooked survivor body blocks before you can hit the other, this won't disable DS.
Lets say that's not the case. The killer gets a hit before the survivor unhooks. Because of timing, the killer gets the 2nd hit on the survivor unhooked. DS is now disabled and the killer can chase them without worry. The unhooked survivor didn't plan on protecting the other, thats just how it worked out. Is that a reasonable situation to disable a perk?

I would do this:
Increas the stun duration to 6 seconds. (extra 1 sec)
However the moment Killer hooks someone else the perk deactivates to make it really anti-tunnel.
What happens if it's a Bubba and they took down both the hooked and the rescuing survivor? All the Bubba needs to do is hook the recent unhooked survivor last.
-
The 5 Ds.
Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive, and Dodge.
As you can't Dive you will have a 1:5 chance at getting hit.
-
You mean Michael Myers?
-
Pig. She is so OP that bhvr has to keep nerfing her.
Really though, watch so videos on each killer and choose the one that interest you the most.
-
Placebo effect, there will be no shortage of tunneling threads around here.
-
S tier is when the trap spawns under a hook. Resetting traps don't fall under the same restrictions as placing them.

Chase music cannot be eliminated using an equilizer. Chase music is not one specific frequency within the audio mix that you can isolate out. Footsteps too are not within a single frequency to which you can boost. To cut out lower frequencies could mean missing out on footsteps. Cutting higher frequencies means you may not hear breathing. Compresstion just normalizes all frequencies at the upper and lower ends.
I get the feeling people here believe an equalizer is a magical box that can demux the audio tracks and mute certain ones. That's not how it works. To say an equalizer is cheating is to say any device that produces a better audio quality over stock speakers is cheating.
-
If you commit to letting all survivors go over many many matches, your killer mmr will drop below the soft cap. Then you can play easier matches. But if you start killing again your mmr will go higher and be back where you started.
So it comes down to this. Do you enjoy the game when all survivors escape or when all survivors die? Because even with a 2k your mmr can go up.
-
No one escapes death that is nowhere as OP as adrenaline
Are you saying adrenaline is OP but then go on to ask why it's being nerfed?

Your high-contrast monitor doesn't change the colors to make key elements easier to see, or see through walls.
Your mouse only allows you to turn faster with less hand travel, it doesn't point you in the direction of a target.
Headphones only isolate your from the ambient noise.
So no, none of these thing corrupt the information from the game : they aren't cheating.
A software that modifies selectively the sound on another hand is cheating, plain and simple.
There are monitors that brighten shadows so you can see better where you normally couldn't.
Equalizers boost or damper sound within frequency ranges so you can hear better where you normally couldn't.
-
Outside a perk, I think the manual 4% should be removed. In it's place an auto unhook attempt right before going into 2nd stage.
Might be issues with survivors trying to save last second so maybe a proxy trigger is needed.
-
Sounds like they made it where progress doesn't start until the animation ends. Probably due to the UE5 change.
-
They would have to change the total box search mechanic to fit the ever growing supply of traps. Pretty much ending in them nerfing Pig again.
-
Its called, not putting rewards behind impossible goals.
You get a P100 badge, clearly something small wasn't enough.
-
Engine update. Pretty much a full install.
-
My first match the game crashed.
-
Is using a monitor with high contrast ratios cheating?
Is using a mouse with high DPI cheating?
Are headphones cheating?
-
When they do their time.

By your story she wasn't trying to 3gen until there was 1 gen remaining. So who is at fault for there being a 3gen to begin with?
Also, what killer just throws the game once there's 1 gen to go? Of course she will hold that defensive position. Any killer would.
-
No thanks to first. Do you not realize the ramifications?
-
To me, it is the survivor looking back at you teabagging while running face first into BW blockers.
-
Its balanced around whoever screams the loudest the longest.

You must be new.

Hope you clicked that report button.

Select survivor and click ready.

You woulda loved older dbd
If lucky, current dbd. While you cannot place a trap under a hook, nothing is stopping you from resetting a trap that spawned under a hook.
And yes, this does happen and its great.

Ask how can a killer that cannot get two hits on survivors for 5 gens was able to get that 1 hit to turn it into a 4k? Is it because the survivor being chased used up every resource on the map? 🤔
-
Show me where BHVR said those things are against the rules.

The point is that the tutorial teaches new players that they should throw the pallets as soon as they see the killer
The original tutorial videos said to camp survivors after hooking them.
It's improved some.
-
The issue is, the old rank based allowed vetern players to hover around rank 15 and to derank when they get too high. Remember that deranking was practiced by both killers and survivors with this system. Also every 13th was a free for all for a week or so.
Content creators want to look good to their audience. Having to actually try every match hurts that image.
-
You got the same player 3 times and you're complaining about the killer they chose. The way you discribed their game play doesn't play into their kit at all. Its really a bad choice in killer tbh. There are better choices if you're going to stay near the hook like this and tunnel out a player.

So you take it out on the next group of survivors because the previous ones didn't express sufficient gratitude? You can generally win without tunneling or camping every game. It's an unranked public match.
From my experience in letting survivors go, (only getting 8 hooks or someone DC'd early), there are few that will be toxic towards me for "wasting their time". It is rare but does occur.
It's not as rare but uncommon to see "gratitude" but I'm not expecting anything from the survivors for playing the way I wanted.

Playing since 2017 you have basic knowledge on how to play a M1 killer.
-
Bubba
-
Sounds like the killer gets a free kill for doing this. So why play any different?

The ancient hangman’s trick was knowing how much slack to leave.

I didn't say "protect" = "not get banned", so let's not talk about report system anymore, it is totally different.
I said they rob the bank with a mask, and BHVR is providing those masks for free. Normal players got sh*t on by those cheaters, but we can not even see their IDs, profiles, comments, add them, dodge them in the lobby, isn't it kind of protections?
Hiding those information from others is apprently protection. Most players I face are not on the same system as me. How am I to check their profile?

I want to be able to automatically use the next power token if needed, while having control on how many tokens I'm using. That add on is awful haha, gives you no control on the number of tokens used and has huge downsides
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3699675#Comment_3699675
I don't quite get your point on the long sweep after a quick down. I'm saying I want control on how many tokens used (as he has now), but ALSO holding M2 to automatically use the next token. You can still let go of M2 if you want to cancel after using one token. Thanks for the 6 sweeps things and you are right about the skill expression, but that should not be the sole determinant of whether a mechanic is in the game. Bubba already has skill expression (going tight around corners without tantrum, knowing the max distance from which you can use power, how to not get stunned by pallet when using power etc.). Right now this just seems extremely clunky and unnecessary to me, and could do with a change
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3699682#Comment_3699682
No, refer to the quotes above
You may want control how many to uses but you should also want to control when.
Look, Bubba is a new killer for you. Think you would be better off learning the character before critiquing the kit.
-
You are making the same mistake as survivors. The game does not end when the last gen is completed. EGC is for when the game is over to either force survivors out or die.
If you want EGC to start then open the gate yourself.
-
Would you rather be stuck using all of them?

Yeah, so this would be 6 month ago. And nothing was changed about flashbang, at least not officially. And it was never approved to be a bug, was it?
An approved bug is a feature.
-
@Chaosrider said:
IF it would be completely impossible to avoid a flashbang, devs would have killswitched it long time ago. Also its quite amusing that people just now start complaining about something that hasnt changed in a long time. Also we have a great example of killer doublestandards here: while killers shouldnt run perks to counter other perks, its fine if survivors even have to run perks to counter basic gameplay.
And how many skill issue threads do you plan to open? Its like the third in a single day.
How long is a long time? Being able to blind a killer facing a wall with a flashbang came around Chucky update.
