Yeah, my face would look like that too. 😥

It's the AFK detection. BHVR didn't take into account the amount of time you can't move.
-
Scratched Mirror is a perfect addon. No other addon bring happiness to both sides.
-
Unless you have thousands of hours, there's plenty to do.
-
It didn't work the last five times.
-
Yeah I get paired with a Legion just about every match. I tell my friend to try other killer but she's too obsessed with stabbing survivors.
-
Maybe as an event mode

Unless you have proof of this reason, I disagree. It's an immersive feeling to add a sense of horror / fun to it. Chase music doesn't effect survivors at all but can completely muffle simple things like gen sounds for a killer.
Proof would be me digging through years old Dev diaries. Lets just use played experience instead. Have you ever lost chase while in chase? Before you could start chase again, could you hear how the survivor is moving on the other side of the wall?
-
The chase music is there to mask survivor sounds so they can lose you. With no chase music you can hear every foot step and every breath made.
Now, if you are asking for an option to revert to the old basic chase music. I'm all for that.
-
Allowing survivors to feel entitled to leave their three teammates behind is killer sided.

Not doing Gens is holding the game hostage. But being AFK (what you did) is also reportable and you were also not participating in regular gameplay, so it would be a bit hypocritical to complain, but you do you I guess.
When it comes to Locker Saves - this only applies if the Killer pulls the Survivor out of the Locker. If the Survivor leaves the Locker and the Killer grabs them, then Flashlight- and Flashbang-Saves are possible. (It does not make sense IMO, but this is what the Devs went for)
While AFK is reportable, you aslo have to take into account the circumstances. The killer was not skilled enough to deal with the survivors and the survivors were not progressing the game on their end. The game was stagnant even before they went afk. It could of continued like that until the game auto ended.
-
Both killers and survivors would "derank" once games started to become too difficult. They would stay in the mid tiers until a few days before reset and then climb to rank 1 (if they cared). Some would go as far as to dip to rank 20 to bully new players.
Streamers would often do this off stream to make their live game performance seem better. Not all though, some would derank so queue times would be shorter soon after a reset.
In other words, pre-mmr was pick your difficulty mode.
-
It used to look better before an engine update long long ago.
-
I wouldn't criticize based off speculation and wait until they give us examples. Don't want to bang down the door just to realise it's the wrong house.

So console killers are not at an advantage? But you play killer on console and is easy.Is this about cheaters or killer OP?"
Yes KILLER FOR ME IS EASY. I PLAY EVERY ONE OF THEM BUT RARELY PLAY NURSE, BLIGHT and TCM Killer. I hate using chainsaws because I feel like it's cheating. I am very good with Killers many dont like, like Pin Head and The Twins. My go to's are Clown, Chatterer, Huntress, and Onryo. I was the worst Killer so for me to be more than good, proves it's easy and I've seen the progression over 6 years to where Survivor was easier to where it's impossible against a Killer who's fairly new and wants to kill.
Have you EVER, SEEN A CONSOLE KILLER, FLOAT IN THE AIR, OR KILL EVERYBODY IN 15 SECONDS OR INVISIBLY GRABBED YOU AND THREW YOU ON A HOOK IN A MILLISECOND? That's just a few I mentioned of the more memorable ones, IT IS CALLED EXPLOITS. CONSOLE PLAYERS CANT DO THIS, atleast not on Xbox. ON OLD STRODE REALTY, I HAD A KILLER DRAG ME OVER THE ROOFTOPS LIKE I WAS IN THE MOVIE DRAG ME TO HELL. PC PLAYERS ARE THE ONLY EXPLOITERS AFAIK.
Consider I'm on Steam and other PC platforms look like any other crossplay player. Maybe?

Wouldn't the group have to mess up pretty badly for that to happen?
It's a common occurrence. Why do you think camping is affective enough to do over patrolling? Not saying the entire team goes down. It can be just the unhooked and rescuer. Rescuer goes down as soon as the unhook happens, killer chases and downs the unhooked. Instead of picking up the unhooked survivor they pickup and hook the other. DS is canceled and the killer is free to pick up the unhooked survivor.

- You can get punished by anti-tunnel perks even when you don't tunnel, that's a pretty major one.
- Being able to weaponize off-the-hook endurance and OTR endurance by body blocking teammates with it instead of using it for the intended purpose of being a buffer against getting tunneled. Removing collision on these features would be more fair.
- OTR invincibility sticks even when you get healed to full, it needs to drop off when becoming fully healed.
- If a survivor is unhooked and DS activates, it needs to deactivate if the killer downs and hooks a completely different survivor because the killer isn't tunneling at that point.
If a survivor is unhooked and DS activates, it needs to deactivate if the killer downs and hooks a completely different survivor because the killer isn't tunneling at that point.
I see this point all the time and wonder if people really don't think this out. If a killer is camping and a group of survivors try going for the save. Isn't it logical that more than one survivor ends up on the ground, including the unhooked? I mean, the very reason the perk exists is destroyed by this.
-
Just hope Nintendo doesn't make a console capable of 30fps or killer might get nuked.
-
The punishment should be in a queue for other "go next" players.
-
Hate to say, but nobody forced you to play in a particular way. Even if you believed it was the only way you can.
-
I would be careful of the terms content drought or dry period. BHVR needed to do something like this for a long time. Lets not make them feel like it was a mistake.
-
Yep, seeing issues starting the game.
-
No no no
With post like this you need to throw in other top tier killers to get the rage going.
Throw in a couple Nurse, Spirit, and Masterminds.
-
Is this a thing? That hilarious.
-
If they remove self unhook then you can count on perks to change. Self unhook may only be possible with a perk with limited attempts not decressing the meter.
-
Flashlight squads
Down at a pallet with other survivors nearby.
Teammates too glued to their gen to pick you up.

I assume BHVR shares this same unenthusiastic pessimism on the tutorials, otherwise we'd have surely gotten updated ones by now. They could easily make tutorials better than what we have, unless you're implying they're stupid.
You might be right. It really isn't rocket science and a tutorial will never be a guarantee of victory. Nobody's saying it is. The idea of GOOD tutorials is to give players as much of the basic information as they can. Unfortunately DBD's game play cycle is more about WHEN and WHY you do things. Anyone who plays something like Candy Crush can pick up Survivor and play it while accomplishing nothing.. Press W, Space, and Left Click while occasionally hitting E and maybe F..There are plenty of things they could do to show people not only WHEN and WHAT is the best objective at any given moment, but also HOW you do each of these things successfully.. Not just how you do them period.. Laziness is why the tutorials suck. Priorities have never been BHVR's strength. Take Rainbow 6 Siege for example. I don't care what type of game it is, you can have stuff be much more informative than it currently is in DBD.. Give us a separate stats page for EVERY Killer, informing players what they're best at, etc. Do this for Survivor healing, repairs, stealth, and chase builds as well.
One of BHVR's biggest fumbles with DBD continues to be player retention. Most of that stems from expecting people to look up 80% of the actual information to even be decent at the game. Posts like that don't help the issue either. Of course we need better tutorials in the game. I say anybody who is satisfied with the tutorials we currently have doesn't really care for the overall health of the game to begin with, and thus far BHVR seems to be sitting right in that same category.
Information overload is a thing. If you start to go over ever little thing and what it does, players are going to opt out and miss what is important.
We have a tutorial on basic game play, which is much more than players with thousands of hours had when we started playing. You also have tool tips at every loading screen that prompts what killer you are facing for the first time.
Everything else is a learning experience. We live in time where people can learn anything and everything about the game. Even things the Devs want to leave hidden. To leave it to what the Devs want to teach which is often not what the community wants to learn, is outdated.
Player retention is not due to not knowing. It's the known disadvantage of going against players that know what they are doing through experience. You can't make it through this game on knownledge alone. Inexperience survivors are going to die to inexperience killers. Those killers will eventually face experienced survivors and start to fail. Nobody is an expert on day 1 and has a massive hill to climb. No amount of handholding will reduce that.

Asking players to go through an outside source just to get a good idea of how a killer power works doesn't seem good.
On the other hand, including it in a gameplay tutorial would be extremely tedious, but that could be solved easily by making it a part of the in-game manual.
Strange how players were able to figure all this out back when nothing but a crappy video tutorial existed.
No amount of hand holding is going to help a new player in an actual match. It's better to experience the game than be told without foreknowledge what to do. Once a player makes mistakes or has questions about something, there are many resources to help them.

They're all gutted. For example on guide the gen bonus went from 5% to 3%, which is a 40% nerf. I guess the devs really want the game to be ez mode for killers.
You're talking about the 2v8 prior to this one. Which 2v8 version did you pull the 45% escape from? The only changes from last fall to now is the addition of bots, more killers, and herbs.

How do you expect a new player to even know what to search?
Game needs multiple (optional) mini tutorials for different aspects of the game, just so it can go over the basics. The tutorial doesnt even teach you how to lunge
Trial and error.
It's not possible to teach every little thing about the game. You the player, need to develop your own way of playing and discover how to survive or kill. That's why only goals and objectives are presented to you.
The wiki is there just as manuals of the past. You have plenty of exteral resources to teach every little bit of the game. You don't need the game to micromanage the fun out of it.
-
Cherry on top was Spirit dressed for the occasion.
-
Are you asking for a 12 hr tutorial? Read the wiki.
-
Big map and Legion. Two things that shouldn't work well together but here we are.
How to counter Legion's "free hit"? ######### run! Don't sit on a gen while in heartbeat. Run away from everyone else. If Legion chases you, you want them to be as far away from others when you get hit.
My friend loves Legion, and we only had one team that scattered like roaches whenever she came close. That match she could barely get any chain hits. But please, keep complaining.
-
I see nothing wrong here. In fact, this is slower than the world record.
-
Possible, but have unresolved issues like camping, tunneling, going after injured survivors over healthy survivors, and knowing when your hiding in a bush.
-
Tentacle needs to be twice as long and footsteps twice as heavy.
-
You can play like a bot and run away before they get close.
-
If Vittorio is the only character you ever wanted to play, then I guess you've won the game.
Congratulations.
-
If you are trying to tentacle whip a survivor in the open, stop it, hit them instead. Only whip when they are locked in animation or have limited movement.
-
Survivors that give up on first hook should be placed in a queue of their own so survivors that want to play don't have to deal with them.
-

team up idk but I kinda wanna see what @Mr_K @Reinami and @I_Cant_Loop got going on. Would love to see them all play survivor and killer. All the ones you mentioned would be interesting too.
Not much if any for survivor.
-
Game is not over after repairing 5 gens.
-
Last 2 survivors are bots
Bots suck
🤔
-
The incentive is there when there's an inbalance between killer and survivor players. If the incentive is absent, then the active player queue time is within limits.
-
Fun in theory, but will be called killer sided. Losing your 3rd person camera will be the equivalent to running No Mither every match.
Besides, imagine the motion sickness from playing that.
-
Empathy can only go so far. To play that way over and over again while having matches where you, the player, are on the side of needing empathy but not receiving it will wear anyone down. Even those that show empathy will not be rewarded for it and at times taunted.
But why should players have empathy for the other side? Are you truly helping killers by giving them hooks? Are you helping survivors by letting them get away with blatant errors? How are players supposed to learn how to play? Through trial and error. If you never error then you never grow. If they never grow, then you just have a player base that complains when killers act like killers. You have a player base where players complain when survivors try to survive.
If as a killer you have 3 survivors on hooks and you find the 4th sitting on a gen, are you supposed to show empathy for the three survivors on hooks? Do you nudge the survivor to get off the gen to go save their teammates? Or do you pull them off the gen and hook them?
That very situation I've run into many of times and I have done both solutions. There were times the survivor just stands there and looks at me while the three survivors die. Where was the empathy for ones own teammates? To me, it is better to end the match there without making it seem as though such action require reward.
-
No. You can never have them and that's why you want them so much. Even those with Legacy don't have it for every character that was available. It was and still is a reward for those that played the game extensively and made it successful when at the time no other game existed like it.

Rework Knock Out to not be used for slugging but instead in chase. Change it so it causes blindess and immediately put survivor into deep wound with mangled for a survivor injured with a basic attack in chase. Maybe also hindered if it still isn't useful enough. Survivor needs to be fully healed or downed for the effects to go away.
Also rework blindness to not include dying state/hooked survivors. That only hurts players in solo queue, a swf can say "I'm down/hooked over here."
So make Blindness to the way it used to be… useless.

Maybe the UI has changed but I can verify several months ago the emblem bar still showed pips. Yes, the grade 1 icon does not have pips but I believed the bar does but I could be wrong. It will take me a bit to grind to grade 1 to check.
@Prometheus1092 It took a bit to grind up. Here's a match I had after getting Grade 1, notice the 0 progress. The pip indicators are still there.
