Rumors are rumors.
Spreads like wildfire.

Just pointing out your post has no information on what the healing bug is. If multiple bugs exist for healing, which one you are referring.
-
Buffing Clown would be too much for his heart.
-
Maybe, because nobody told them what the healing bug is?

If I'm able to chase and down someone (be it the unhooker or someone else entirely), hook them, find the unhooked person with DS within 60 seconds, and down/potentially down them again...that's tunneling? Even if my intention was to slug them so they they're incapacitated long enough to buy me time?
I disagree entirely.
Yeah, been there, been stabbed, don't care.
Maybe its my bias from having to go through being punshed for winning a chase, that this new perk doesn't seem so bad in comparison.
-
You press M2 and something happens.
-
Its for players that DC too much.

Your answer to a poorly designed perk is to use another poorly designed perk (NOED)? Or outright terrible and niche perks like Rancor/Devour Hope? Jesus.
Maybe people wouldn't use DS so much if it wasn't so valuable in comparison to the dozens of super niche perks that still exist today and will never see substantial buffs/reworks. Even the Left Behind/Dying Light changes are hilariously bad and won't see widespread use. And I don't see any of the upcoming ST perks being used en masse except Inner Strength and maybe Fixated. Not at red ranks.

Survivors don't waste a minute in a locker. They go into a locker mid-chase and force the killer to either eat a 5 second stun or abandon them, allowing them to go heal up and/or do a gen for free, rather than having THEIR time wasted by being slugged.
And people without DS will do this too, because the threat of DS is enough to get a lot of killers to leave. It's a disgusting flip-flop of what should be the power role.
You made my point. Not this thread but one back when everyone said DS would become useless after the change. Almost word for word, so thank you.
Too the point though, if you were chasing a survivor and they jump into a locker. Sounds like, to borrow from survivor speak, tunneling.
If you see an obsession indicator you are going have to play using different tactics. If I'm able to quickly down a freshly unhooked survivor, I'm going to take it then proceed to chase the unhooker. This has the affect of wasting time for three survivors. If the unhooked jumps into locker before I can reach them, there's the one that unhooked them.
If you really hate the survivor in the locker, you can wait 60s for them to jump out.
-
Killer's use ruin to buy time to get hooks.
The idea sounds simular to what Dying Light is going to be minus the skill checks.
-
Game Over
-
There can be situations where DS is activated moments before another survivor is hooked. i.e. basement parties. Should DS be disabled in this situation too?
If a survivor wants to waste a minute in a locker, let them.
I do like though, how the forums were full of how useless DS would be after the nerf and here we are complaining about it again.
From someone who cursed the very existence of DS before the change, I say get over it.

In Rancid Abbateur you can hit a survivor through the metal railing thing in the main building
I discovered it at my expense
Maybe they fixed it but I don't think so
Apparently thats a bug being patch in 3.2.0.
But the Haddonfield fences are intended to be hit over and have been since the map's release.
I've had survivors freakout over this in after game chat before. ๐
-
Not every killer needs a rework. Freddy and Legion were changed because they had major game play issue. Wraith was changed because he needed some love.
-
Myer's was my first main. It was what a friend of mine was playing at the time.
-
We've seen stranger things before.
-
Only change that should happen to No Mither is the injured music removal.
-
Place a trap in front of the locker. Problem solved.
-
From what DS was before to what it is now, I'm fine with. I don't see why it needs to be changed further.

You have 50 seconds to chat.

@Mr_K I am not talking about lore... I'm talking about an equivalent to the Mori mechanic.
There is none.
First off, the killer role is not supposed to be equal to the survivor. Not every killer perk needs a survivor equivalent. Not every killer's power needs a counter. The survivor role is not one of a hero. It is the struggle to survive against an "unstoppable" monster.
Early versions of the game the arguable equivalent to the Mori was the BNP addon. A simple addon could do 20% of the survivor objective with a simple spacebar tap and four could be brought into a single trial. The old mori was able to do 25% of the killer's objective with the only requirement being they had to catch you first.
Old BNP and old Mori were arguably broken. I've had 0% gens completed in chase by the very survivor I was chasing. I've been Mori'd shorty after the start of a trial when one hook wasn't a requirement. Yeah it's not "fun".
But these "unfun" elements have been tone down. No longer are four survivors capable of completing 80% of their object in an instant as the killer is incapable of 25% in one chase.
When it comes down to it, the Mori is a selling feature of the game. To remove it or make it cumbersome to use will hurt the appeal and usefulness of a rare or ultra rare offering.
Is it impossible to win against an Ebony? No. Four man escapes are not uncommon even with a mori in play. As long as you and your team know how to hold M1 and not be a potato in chase, that Ebony will go to waste.

A survivor equivalent to a Mori would be Ressurection....not a slight chance to escaping.
There is no escape.
Lore wise they already "resurrect" after the trial.
-
More than likely so issues with dedicated servers are not overshadowing issues/feadback with the new chapter.
-
If it's not good enough, worst case scenario we buff it before the update goes live. This is what the PTB is for, after all.
Best case they nerf it some more.
๐
-
Remember when mori's didn't require hooking the survivor first?
Good times
-
Too hard.
Why aren't you following the rule book?
-
As far as I know, window blockers only stop the survivor triggering them.
In all my time playing this game, I've never been in the situation where one survivor blocks a window and another survivor needed to vault it. So, I could be completely wrong here.

Nope, tunneling is mostly described as chasing the same survivor to make him die first, the "chasing the same survivor the whole match without being able to hook him cause he's a good looper" is called being a "dumb and stubborn killer".
I've had streamers say I'm tunneling after a 30s chase. Tunneling is whatever a survivor feels is too long.
-
Tunneling is also defined as chasing a survivor for an arbitrary amount of time.
-
You're a few months off. The big day is November 3rd not September 3rd.
-
Would make it useless.
Survivors die on the third hook.
-
Killer A.I. development is still on going. Recent testing with the new tutorial is showing promising results.
There are still some bugs to be work out before they can go live. Mainly, after hooking a survivor the A.I. patrols the hook area until another survivor is detected. Now this is an improvement over the previous version where the A.I. would freeze immediately after hooking a survivor.
-
Makes you a killer, killer.
-
Killer perks are released pre-nerfed. Ones that slip through are quickly dealt with.
-
Welcome to dbd.
-
Spirit has been elevated to the level of Nurse in the eyes of some survivors. Thus, Spirit players are treated like Nurse players.
Welcome to the salt mines, friend.
-
There have been whispers of Stranger Things for awhile.
-
A) Turn off post game chat.
B) Embrace the salt
-
Information was being leaked so best to go forward and build hype instead of surpressing it.
-
Any examples of deliberate misinformation?
-
As long as they don't mess with her base, I don't care what they do to the addons.
Well, removing the multi blink addons would be preferable. Bare minimum make the +1 blink addon ultra rare.
-
"Cleaning totems to prevent NOED...when you play vs Mayers, Legion, Hillbilly, Plague and Ghost Face. These killers like never take noed, or very rarely, so why? Why? Only for bloodpoints, don't tell me you doing this only for bloodpoints..."
Pfff. What game are you playing?
-
Absolutely not.
I rather not be punished for chasing and downing a survivor simply because they can hit a skill check. I would very much like my hook pressure. Simply slug if you encounter an unhooked survivor and there is a chance of DS. Make another survivor get off their gen and pick them up.
-
Rancor
That's it.
-
In the current state of the game, it will randomly kick survivors from the trial. If you see a survivor DC without any audio indication, that is the game booting the survivor and its happening a lot.
To punish players for what the game is doing could backfire on the devs.
-
Hatch closer wasn't the only change made recently that upset some players. You could make the same argument that the ranking system is a cause of several DCs.
Truth of the matter is there are too many thin skinned people playing the game.
-
I've had survivors rage quit with every killer. I see more against Billy than Nurse. It is sometimes down to how you play than who you are playing as. Depending on the experience level of the survivor, Wraith, Freddy, and Trapper can see plenty of DCs.
Survivors will even rage quit if they believe their teammates are bad.
DCs happen because survivors think it hurts the killer. What it does though, is hurt the teammates that remain.
-
Click on offerings then back to perks.
Its an old and common bug that places you on page two of your perks even when only one page exists.
-
I have no issues with DS in its current state.
-
Simple, it's not supposed to be a powerful perk.
-
No Mither just needs the injured music removed.
