As an example, when a killer uses it to run right back to a previous unhook after hooking someone else, and everything just starts to snowball from there.
DH and BBQ are both perks that aren't overpowered, but can be annoying to deal with for both sides in certain situations.
Not saying I personally think it's worth complaining about, it's a smart strategy - just something I've observed complaints over.
Tbh, I think killers would do that regardless of bbq prompting. It's what I expect to happen when I go for saves of this nature.

The same reason killers complain about Dead Hard, for example - because the way players use both is annoying.
But neither need to be "nerfed" as biased mains on both sides claim.
How is bbq being used in an annoying way?
I agree the calls for DH nerf are over the top.

It is, unquestionably a nerf.
You will know when they can see your aura because of the passive reveal or just assuming because of things like BBQ and such; giving you time for example as trapper to set down traps when object is not revealing your location; instead of rendering your power entirely useless.
That is a significant change from being able to just tell what they were doing almost all the time with literally no repercussions at all.
However none of the changes are final yet as they have said, so we'll see- but from what they have shown that is absolutely, 100%, a nerf.
It's a changed to a perk. Looking at it from one point of view would make it seem like a massive nerf but from another it becomes a pain.
I feel people are too happy about it being changed to think about what it is being changed to.
Don't take this as wanting OoO to stay the same.

Yeah, object nerf cannot come soon enough.
Haddonfield and Bedham can both suck a lemon alright. Very survivor sided nonsense, but I just play them out and it's whatever, I don't feel bad losing on a map designed to make me lose. Make the enjoyment out of something else, set a different objective like "I wanna try and hatchet someone through a window" or something.
I would just disconnect against the hacker and make a cup of coffee tbh, ######### that #########. It's just 5 minutes anyways and you are unlikely to encounter another hacker that same day even. Stuff like that is why the DC penalty starts so small.
None of these things have anything to do with the update however; so I don't understand what you are trying to say.
I don't think that it can be called a nerf. It won't be the way it is now but being able to see the killer's aura whenever they can see yours can prove to be strong. With no downsides when it comes to the non-obsession.
-
I would like a more stable game than the prior chapter.
-
Doesn't sound like the fault of the update.
Sounds like normal DBD.
-
From my observations after being hooked.
The other survivor, crouched behind an object, sits there oblivious to the approaching killer headed directly towards them. Takes off running after being hit.
-
What offering?
-
You are going to wish for those flashlight clicking, body blocking, "toxic" behavior survivors once you start facing those that just do gens and leave as fast as possible.

- im not grouping around them
- im usually the only one left
- no it only goes up to 5 minutes atleast from my experience
3) it scales the more you DC.
-
I've had survivors pop a 0% gen mid chase with BNPs before. Only took a second.
-
Only 34 Million BP next patch

Only 7k hours. Took no time at all. 😁

Maybe you're reading old Steam forum threads?

How about the UI changes? Did they make it in?

They actually called it "Aim-Dressing"
Peanits explained it that auto-aim can connect hits that shouldn't have hit and aim dressing could rob hits that should have hit
Anti Aim-Dressing

How about I just uninstall right now?

None on Steam yet

How do Killers get the hit then if they are not even facing me when they swing? If I’m behind them and they still manage to hit me that seems a little off.
Right now the there's massive desync which the Devs said maybe fixed in 4.5.2. But don't hold your breath.
In "normal" circumstances there is some delay between what the killer sees and what you, the survivor, sees. The server is the middle man that determines if a hit occurred or not.

They do have autoaim for basic M1 swings and I think lunges.
It's important to note however that unlike autoaim in most video games, I'd argue DBD's autoaim actually makes it HARDER to play killer. A 360ing survivor can easily make a lunge that should have connected bump into a wall, or stop short, etc.
There is definitely some messed up hitboxes though. I partially blame the animation update but I'm not a dev so I can't be sure.
Aim assist. It only takes effect when the game detects the killer's weapon intersects the survivor's hitbox. So the game doesn't move you to make the hit, you already did. Key difference between it and auto-aim.
What aim assist does do, it tries to make the hit center to the survivors hitbox. That way the hit doesn't feel off. The problem is this often moves the weapon into an environment hitbox instead of a survivor.
That's why I called it anti auto-aim.

They were trying to make me rage quit not do gens, the classic flashlight spamming and body blocking
Where can I find these types of survivors?
-
Whatever it is, it will be a buggy mess.
-
It's because they love you.
-
Depends if you reported them or not. The end game chat is not monitored.
-
1) Stop grouping up around other survivors. This is true against most killers.
2) If slugged, move away from the killer. Don't hang around and make it easy for them.
3) The DC penalty goes higher than 5 minutes.

Sacrifice a pallet or find a vault.

Survivors should have a hard time surviving that's why it's called dead by daylight. Not bullying the killer mains.
There's a set of conditions to pip. The system is currently not following those conditions. Survivors are not to blame for meeting these conditions and not being rewarded.

Desync

Game breaking bugs.
In other words, nothing's changed.

Welcome to the internet.

Still there, always will be.

Maybe your PC is trying to tell you something.

3 gens in 90s is not unreasonable for survivors without toolboxes. Chasing a survivor for 80-90 seconds means there are three survivor potentially repairing three gens.
-
I don't believe Franks Mixed Tape is the issue here.
Legion is the issue. We need to inform the Devs that Legion has not been fixed enough and can still kill survivors.
Nerf the Legion!
-
I envision a mallet striking a bell for some reason.
🤔
-
Remove 1st phase escape attempts.
For the same reasons you gave.
-
They messed up big this time, more than usual. Its not even about the UI or animations, it's the amount of game breaking bugs that's taking two weeks to hopefully patch. Many of which were pointed out during the PTB. Because they ignored that feedback the game is in a piss poor state with many not playing.
-
The chase music improved at least.

I was expecting post like this.

17 in US.
Also:
Not like Steam checks your ID.

No, I just checked. Legion is still there.
