She still chases, you just herd them into the traps. You make it sound like she just waits...
Yeah and that's the problem.. for me. You herd them into the traps. There is no mindgaming nor interaction within the chase, nothing interesting. You just hold W while scrollwheeling and wait till they eventually trigger one of your traps. For me that isn't chasing, it's just autopiloting, you walk around existing till you can teleport and hit someone.
-
She can't chase, which is arguably the most fun part as Killer. You just setup your web and wait for Survivor to run into it.. that's it.
That's why I never play her without Waterlogged Shoe/Scarred Hand, it allows her to actually chase.
-
I think kobes should stay, but what I would like to see is that they make kobes earned instead of luck based.
Remove the 4 % and depending on how productive you are within the match, you gain more and more % towards your self unhook meter, the ratio at which you gain can be altered but that would make kobe'ing something you earn for being good as a Survivor instead of a random lucky number which you randomly got.
To make it still risky, I wouldn't show how much percent you've earned, but by your own game sense you'll be able to tell how much of a chance you would have towards a kobe.
-
I agree with you on the Knight the most.
-
If you double place turrets, he will be thrown out of power everytime. While he destroys one, the other throws him out.
It's a matter of strategy. Every gen has a station, if you want to do a specific gen, place 2 turrets there for good safety.
-
The most I'd do is to deactivate it within 12 metres of hooked Survivors and that it has no effect on Endurance hits.. only healthy to injured and injured to down.
-
Even being 4.6 and that'd be terrible. An M1 4.4 Killer with no help in chase is horrible.
-
What Trapper would benefit from would be a lower Terror Radius so he cannot be tracked as easily while setting up.
I've read an idea once.. what if Trapper was undetectabe till he gets a hit.

Might try STBFL on it once I have the T3 version. I'm still getting perks on her, but this was pretty fun. Kept getting hits on people that underestimated the speed.
Also since speed is multiplied and not added. WS gives 7.5 % of a 110 % which ends up being about 118 %, then Rapid is 5 % of a 118 %, which is around 124 %. Add Stbfl for faster recovery or something and you are just downing people left and right.
Need to try Batteries though.

Idk why we stopped running this perk it's so good and doesn't care about much of anything.
There might be value to CoB as well if you treat it as an info perk rather than a regression perk. There's ways to get around stealth perks people just haven't caught up to them yet cuz they're trying to force what they're used to playing.
Even better is Surveillance. It's so slept on and counters basically any Survivor anti tracking Perk. Surveillance will provide info no matter what.
Unless they let gens regress to 0 %, which would be damaging.
-
If you know the Killer has Surge (which is a common Perk nowadays), jump into lockers, or use Plot Twist if you have it right before going down to deny the Perk from proccing.
If you play vs Oni, don't be afraid of predropping every pallet. The longer you delay him getting his power the better. The same goes for Nemesis.. keep him in Tier 1 for as long as possible.
Try yo-yo tech. It means keeping safe consistent distance bewteen you and the Killer if he's patrolling. If he approaches.. run away and as soon as he turns back.. follow him. It is a dangerous strat for Killers when used correctly. It helps at pressuring gens and other things against the Killer.
-
Like, any page which included 2v8 was an instant click from me. I really want that and you could finally play Killer with someone.

Try running it with ruin
the combo isn’t strong like it used to be but it was something when ruin didn’t self destruct upon killing a survivor
I use it with Pain Res so it tells me which gen got hit or if someone is still there.
Other than that, I kick gens for tracking. And I personally don't want Hex Perks in my main builds. I use them when I do fun builds.
-
Surveillance. It's a tracking Perk with 0 counterplay.
It gives you really nice info, I combine it with Discordance so those 2 tell me how many Survivors are on a gen.
-
Interesting that someone found out about this. Always wondered why 87 ° felt so weird... because it wasn't 87 ° to begin with. If I put 87 ° on Minecraft for example I feel way more comfortable.

there is no way that is true.
Pretty sure it is, those are the 2 numbers I hear everywhere and also heard often in the past. I don't have a confirmation source but I'm certain that those are the numbers.

Does anybody know if there are event offerings? I'm only getting "winter party starter" on my survivor atm.
No, they only added the Party Starters.
-
Infact, I use it because I got sandbagged recently by someone remembering my name and profile.. which is just sad. So I made myself anonymous so that doesn't happen.
And if I have fun with people ingame, I can still add them on steam. But I get what you mean, many wrong/toxic people or cheaters use it as well. But there is always a risk to an overall good feature.

The base FOV right now is too low, Shadowborn is almost enough to help with motion sickness. However In games where you can select a fov or change it, I'm never close to the max. For example I usually change my fov to 90. You can go a lot higher than that but it does the same thing to me that having the fov lower does. it makes me get the spins.
DBD's fov would be around 70 with shadowborn that brings it to 85. roughly 5 degrees off where I need to be. The problem is no one should need to use a perk to play the game without feeling sick.
Dbd's base fov is 87 ° and Shadowborn ups it to 102 °

Just did my 1st match and all of us, including the Blight were just throwing snowballs at eachother all game and having immense fun.
Huge W with that event Bhvr.

On road map, it's dated for January - March. So i believe they will add this feature to PTB first and to live with mid-chapter. It will stay in test until March and then they will add it to game i think.
I can be wrong tho, i am just assuming.
I think they will actually release it in January, the Beta Tab is just a sort of testing without requiring a PTB so it might come out earlier.

It's still dated for January 2024, so i still believe it will be closer to mid-chapter.
You mean the Beta Feature? Where does it say that?
-
The thing which buffles me is the fact that they are really crap at loops (unless the loops is safe, then there is no way in getting them via mindgames), but playing like it's some Matrix crap when I'm trying to shoot them as Slinger 😅
Like, playing range Killers vs bots is impossible. The best example would be Pyramid Head, you literally can't get them with your PotD unless they're in an animation lock.
-
@C3Tooth said:
I think PTB in Jan 2024. Which the next chapter will be Live?
I dont understand, higher FoV would be better benefit. Why dont they just increase FoV to the maximum setting of the slider? I dont think the slider option is needed.
I hope they add the feature before the holidays so we can test it through the PTB and till the Midchapter.
I'm sick of using Shadowborn.

@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
Most likely next mid-chapter, so i'd expect to see it in next PTB.
Beta features are tested in live, so it might come out earlier... I hope.

People probably dont read or understand the Perk.
It should get buffed back to 5 % per Survivor but only work on basic attacks.. or rework the Perk.

It would be the same, if there was no P100. It could be different, if there was an actual reward for it, though. But maybe that's just wishful thinking. It's more that we have quite the inflation when it comes to purchasables in the bloodweb. The decreased grind was a good thing overall but this is sadly also one of the consequences.
Reaching P100 is a nice to have but honestly, you get that eventually and then it's just kind of there. Like you haven't really anything to show for it. You don't suddenly become a comp level player and you have nothing to gain from it. If there were some special cosmetics or anything like that, it could mean that players actually would try to get more characters to P100.
The thing which makes P100 kinda worth it are 2 guaranteed Ultra Rares in every Bloodweb which can be insane on Survivors and even most Killers.
-
It also has synergy with itself now.
Heal someone, get Endurance, get hit and now you have the Haste.
-
Leave Background Player alone, it's my new favourite Exhaustion Perk. The amount of distance you cover with it is insane, combine it with Plot Twist and you are basically faster than Blight, Plot Twist's 50 % Haste multiplies on top of the 200 % of Background Player, which basically makes you move at 300 % speed for 4 seconds.
For the People/Buckle up are fine on their own, they just need their synergy removed.
-
Yeah, cooldowns feel really bad to play with.. but they are kinda required for balance. Most Killers you'll have to rework if you would remove the cooldown.
Wraith is a perfectly designed 0 cooldown Killer.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/397880/was-the-hex-ruin-nerf-senseless
was overnerfed because SURVIVORS didnt wanted to adapt , the same happen when thana was buffed (WHEN MEDKITS WERE POWERFUL BTW) Alongside CoH.People were like nah 22% too strong RED BAR = BAD , even when overall value was 8 to 14 max seconds extra to a gen if survivor didnt wanted to heal. even when they could heal themself within 8 seconds using a green medkit with some basic charge perks/addons. cough cough
Pentimento is 33% and people seem happy with ithttps://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/B6CG41CEH25S/image.png
And now look at thana - the only killer viable to use it is plague which is boring as hell , because you expect that same perk on 99% of your plague matches. (AND ONCE AGAIN IS STILL 20% BUT PEOPLE ARENT CRYING NOW? I DONT UNDERSTAND SURVIVORS.)
Funnily enough, the Thana nerf happened because it was to strong on Legion and Plague. Now after the nerf, it is still almost way to good on Legion and Plague and useless on any other Killer.
They change Perks in the most stupid ways possible.
-
For me it's like "Ellodee"
-
It's synergy with Dead Hard will be way better now as you can now trigger DH's Deep Wound and then gain 3 % Haste afterwards, which you'll keep because it's Exhaustion negative got removed.
It can be used aggressively in anti tunnel builds now.
My build which I'll try is gonna be Off the Record, Decisive, Dead Hard and MfT.
And it will be a big f you for Legion Players. Blood Echo won't help anymore.
-
Also, most slowdown Perks you probably used back in the day got changed.
Ruin was nerfed to 100 % regression down from 200 % and deactivates immediately when one Survivor dies.
Pop got nerfed to 20 % of current progress but recently buffed to 30 % of current progress.
Dead Hard was changed several times. DH for distance is gone.
Some basekit Killer buffs, they received a 10 % increase in successful hit recovery. 2.7 seconds down from 3 seconds.
They kick pallets, walls and generators 10 % faster.
The hit burst of Survivors got reduced to 1.8 seconds down from 2 seconds.
Gens take 90 seconds at base instead of the 80 seconds which it took back in the day.
Those I didn't see mentioned so I mentioned them.

I know you want someone else to answer this for you but here it is
Normal Gen regression is .25 charges per second... 150% of that would be .375 charges per second
So instead of taking 4 seconds to take away 1 charge it'll take 3 seconds to take away 1 charge
Wouldn't it rather be 0.33 c/s, making it 0.99 in 3 seconds so basically 1 charge?
-
It's basically a map... without having to use a map. It shows pretty much all objects which can be quite useful. I'd say it is decent since they added the activation condition to blessing as well, meaning you can activate it an indefinite amount of times instead of 5 times.
-
If you're so afraid that you cannot play, I'd recommend stop playing for your health's sake.

For those saying MFT is no longer useful. Are you kidding me? People will combine OTR or DH with MFT. It will be the new meta and very good since MFT now works when deep wounded AND exhausted.
As for Trickster. I love the recoil being removed so people on controller can play him. But all the other changes sound very broken. We'll have to wait for the PTB though.
Also, poor Legion and Deathslinger players...
Deathslinger has good anti loop. The 3 % won't bother him as much. It mostly hurts M1 Killers, so yeah.. Legion is kinda f'ed.
-
They're probably causing complete global saturation by buying candies they'll give to random kids.

I get quite a few Demos, and I also play him myself every now and then. Twins are pretty rare though.
I play to much Phasmophobia. The first thing I read here was: "I get quite a few Demons."
-
Well, it's not the same for both roles.
If I outplay the Survivor and end a chase as Killer, the chase was good.
If I outplay the Killer and prolong the chase, the chase was also good.
-
Well, the Obsession is Exposed when Rancor is in play in Endgame, Furtive chase makes you the Obsession when you unhook the Obsession, which makes you exposed.
And Nemesis makes you the Obsession when you stun the Killer.
I don't see the problem here.
-
Personally, I like that it does that because it makes Trail of Torment better, which is an interesting Perk imo.
-
I'm an incentive main. I usually go for which role has incentives. If my friends are on I usually swf, except one where we do random Killer builds and play that Killer simultaneously.
If there are no incentives (which rarely happens) I switch role after every match.
-
Yeah, so broken that I can even work through the 30% penalty because of the lack of pressure the Killer has most of the time.
And even then, by paying the slightest bit of attention.. you can cleanse a Pentimento Totem relatively easy.
-
It used to work on Mending for a short time after Legion's release and Doctor's Snap out of it, but they changed that. Nurse's Calling only works on the healing action itself and nothing else.
-
Remembering map layouts helps. Be aware that the Drege can see you highlighted in white (similar to Myers stalk) when in Nightfall so hiding is risky.
He is undetectable but has lound breathing noises which can make tracking him easier, he is also quite bright at close distance so you can see him quite easily.
Stay away from lockers as he can teleport really fast with barely any cooldown during Nightfall, also while being chased. Some Dredges love to spam teleport during Nightfall in chase so you can anticipate that by getting out of LoS near a locker and then double back, making him lose tons of distance.
