I got into a match with a rank 8 Leatherface running Insidious. I was the unlucky first to be found and downed. They went out of their way to hook me in the basement, then proceeded to stand still behind the wall and lockers that face the stairs and wait there until someone came to get me, and then instadown them with his chainsaw. Rinse and repeat until all survivors are dead. Camping is one thing, but this I just felt was beyond toxic, so I used the in game report system. Was I wrong to do so?

As the others have already said, this is clearly a style of play the Bubba is known for employing. Camping is a strategy that the DEV have validated time and time again. If you look at various Killer Perks you will see there are even Builds clearly intended to encourage it. Let me make a polite suggestion, purge the word "toxic" from your vocabulary. It is a meaningless word. It means whatever anyone WANTS it to mean. The only things you should be reporting people for is Hacks, excessive salty behavior, the many idiotic "isms," i.e. racism, sexism, etc., Exploiting bugs, and rage quits and disconnects that screw up the game. In fact, the reporting system kind of gives you a guide to what you should be reporting when you are in it.

Camping, tunneling, slugging, and the Mori are NOT something you should be reporting. I find people clicking their flashlights excessively and tea-bagging annoying, but I'm not reporting that either. Most of the time they have a tactical reason for doing it, i.e. they want me to chase them so their buddies can get something done. So forget about trying to interpret "toxic" behavior, and only report specific actions which clearly violate the game's rules. For example, I think people who post endless screeds and complaints here in the Forum or report people for normal game play are toxic. See how subjective it is? You are now toxic. Get my point?

Survivors want you to loop, get two hooks, and then escort you to exit gate, where they teabag until the egc timer is almost out, then leave.

That or they expect you to two hook everyone, play fair, using no second chance perks. While they use swf, and every second chance perk in the game.

Fact is, you have to play dirty and use killers with no counter play if you want to stand a chance of winning.

I'm not willing generalize all Survivors that way, although I've certainly encountered plenty of the ones you describe. I think the issue is a lot of the Survivors, who mean well, don't really understand what they are asking/demanding when they call for the removal or punishment of camping, tunneling, slugging, and the mori. (all of which have been commented on by the DEV as valid strategies). I just don't think they have thought through the implications of what they are asking. Whether they realize it or not, they would reduce every single Player Killer to a mindless PacMan in a Halloween outfit, who might as be running around the maps to the sound of "wukka wukka" on an endless loop.

Survivors, for all the very different problems they face, have a LOT of agency. They get to decide to act together, alone, or in smaller groups. They get to choose their tactics of how to try and run the Killer back and forth. They choose which Generators will be worked on first, more or less narrowing the battlefield and which Generators the Killer must defend. They choose how and when to go after Totems (if they bother at all). They choose how long to let their peers sit on the Hook, when to body block, when to sabotage, when to gang-rush the killer, when to 99 the gates, and so on etc. If I typed out all the options and agency Survivors have, this would be a very long response.

Killers, despite obvious appearances, are playing defensive. Their job is to be the Goalie, and prevent Survivors from getting out. Their agency is largely limited to which tactics they will use. Camping (better known as by actual hunters as baiting a trap) is one tactic. Slugging makes sense in the right situation (or when you slyly create the right situation). Tunneling is a risk versus reward situation. That injured, unhooked Survivor only needs a single hit to put them down. The other needs two. But the unhooked might have D/S they might have borrowed time and seconds spent trying to run that down might be valuable time lost. It is a choice. More to the point, by chasing the unhooked you might tempt other Survivors (whom you REALLY want) out to body block. The Mori, sledgehammer option, might be required to deal with a Generator Rush which is overwhelming, but it is going to cost you points and perhaps even a Pip.

What it comes down to is that these choices make or break the interesting part of the game. If a Killer's only choice is to chase you around loops and hope to close the distance, a Bot is better suited to that job.

I was gone for a couple of days, did something happen to matchmaking again?

It takes forever to find a match, like the times before CP. And when I find a game I get a Rank 1 killer and Green and Yellow teammates. Occasionally a Purple might be thrown into the mix. But no Red Rank survivors.

I'm not even exaggerating. Every single game I've played has been against a Rank 1 killer.

    WTH?

I'm a Purple Rank Killer (just barely made it in) and ALL I seem to see are Red Rank Survivors. I'd gladly trade for yours.

  • I am a very vocal proponent of balancing SWF. But I want something clear, "I do not hate SWF either in application or as a concept." I just don't like the balance issue. I think playing with your friends is great. I just think they belong in their own Que, in a way that the DEV can balance the 5th Perk (Comms) by either requiring another Generator to open the gates, and/or adding a 5th Perk slot to the Killer. I think when properly balanced, Killers will be FINE fighting against them.

  • I still think we need a Hall of Shame where such people do have their names posted, so the rest of us can decide whether we want to play with them while still in the Lobby. Or perhaps the DEV could put an alternate "Red Badge" on such people so that their names show up in an odd color when they have been reported and warned by the DEV. I kind of think Bans doesn't seem to do much. Bad sports should be shamed into better behavior or into the hills. Telling someone you hope their pets die, or their family dies of cancer seems like something well beyond having "us" hit the Report and never know if anything came of it until we see that horrible person in the same lobby with us again.

  • My only regret is that we can't post names here. I would make a note of theirs, and next time I see them in a Lobby with me, I would SHOW them what a vicious build actually looks like and Mori them all.

  • I love the game. I don't make it a habit of spending time on things I don't.

Well yes, in this case, if you only play one killer, I get it, but if you change killers you can always forget about myers for a while, grind with another one and use the BP to prestige Myers and get all the things you want and had without prestige, and then, go back to myers and own people in an AMAZING full bloody skin. Specificly Myers and GF are the killers I like the most in P3

Fair enough, but I only play one Killer until I feel I'm competent. Sadly, I'm not there yet but I'll determined. Every day getting a little better. Eventually, I'll feel I do Myer's justice and move on to another one. Perhaps after I've gotten competent in all the Killers I'm interested in, then I'll go back and think about Prestige.

  • They are losers. Why do you care what they think? When I get this garbage I say something like, "Yes! Let me taste the salt of your tears!" People are going to accuse other Players of being Toxic whether they are or not (and most are not). With that in mind, I'm like... "so?" These guys aren't trying to shame you or convince you of anything. They are trying to convince themselves that they aren't pathetic losers, and in the face of overwhelming evidence that they are, they have to parrot every excuse and accusation they can... over and over again... to try and convince themselves.

  • Let me put it in more practical terms. Let's say I like to play Spooky Myers (a lot) and try him out on maps he struggles on. In my time of focus on Myers I've built up a HUGE number of Scratch Mirrors and Boyfriend's memos. I can play that Build whenever I want to test it on any map I want to test it on. If I Prestige I lose that choice.

Let's say I want Infinite Tier-3 and have built up a rather good number of the tufts of hair. Do I really want to flush them?

  • @Carlosylu said:

I don't get why people think it's useless...

They do have a purpose, three actually, bragging, intimidating as both roles and being used as stealthier skins for survivors.

Trust me, once you get to level 50 on all your characters, you're gonna want something to grind for...

    1. Not a bragging type of guy.
    2. I prefer to be underestimated in these matches.
    3. And the Skins I have are fine.

Long and the short I don't got enough practical return on doing Prestige. Cosmetics don't do it for me. I like the stuff I've collected and use it.

  • I guess I'm kind of an elitist (who hasn't become one of the elite yet). I just wish Prestige was more based on Rank. I know it will never happen but I wish that they did the following:

    1. Rank resets once per QUARTER rather than a month.
    2. You Prestige a level once each time you hit a Red Rank equal or higher to the previous time you did it.
    3. Prestige levels granted some sort of benefit like bonuses to contesting Offerings such as Maps and Oaks, i.e. ties go to the highest Prestige Rank. It just has to be something tangible.

So the first time you hit Red Rank you do not Prestige, but if you do it again next cycle and get to the same Rank in Red (or better) you Prestige once, and so on, and so forth. To me Prestige shouldn't be a time in grade thing. Literally ANYONE can just keep going through blood web games. If I was trying to Prestige, my Myers would be many times over at this point based just on the number of games and webs. That feels wrong as it isn't really earned.

  • I like certain builds. Some of them require harder to get items, of which I built up a pretty good number. Doing Prestige would mean I can't play that build when I want to do so. I'm just not feeling it. Heck, I wish I could sell back all the junk I have that will never get used (not my style) and get half BP on it or something. You have NO IDEA how many Tombstones I have. If they ever make the things useful to me, I am set for years.

  • I'm very positive on the game overall, but I do agree that I have no interest in doing Prestige for my characters. I'm not really hip to the covering my outfit with blood. The problem for me is that I am not jumping all over the place with Killers. I do ONE Killer at a time until I feel competent with them. that Killer gets all the Blood Points, so doing Prestige actually costs me an obscene amount of stuff I've collected. :) Why on Earth would I want to have a "slightly better" shot at getting Rare and Ultra Rare when I already have a good number built up? I would lose out on the deal entirely. Prestige is about bragging rights, and that isn't enough for me.

Then everyone will be running meg/bill/Laurie

There are way too many survivors, who have all terrible perks. Not to mention that many people actually like survivors being like skins

Not necessarily. They don't all have terrible Perks. Some of them just have Perks that are too good. Let me put it this way, if you are trying to fix a system and you have a MASSIVE number of Perks only only four of them are being used, which is easier to fix? The other Perks will never become more attractive until they have practical use. I submit that EACH Survivor should have one really good natural ability which makes it a tougher choice. I'm not a Killer Main; I play Survivor too. I just think reducing all the Survivors to just "Skins" is part of the problem. Rework one Perk for each of them into a PROPER innate ability. Then each one will have real value. I think you will have more than just Bill, Meg, and Laurie running around.

Sorry, but what rank killer are you? Because as someone that has been a rank 1 killer, I don't care at all about the pressure from someone being on a hook. I immediately turn away from the hook and start pressuring anyone that's trying to work on gens. When someone is taken off hook I'll loop around back and find someone to chase, but for the most part I worry about gens. If someone takes someone off in front of my face I smack the person they unhooked and leave them down--if they have BT, I don't care, because now they have to go somewhere and mend while I chase their unhooker or I circle the gens they favor the most again.

I do the same and I've never even been a Rank-1 Killer. I hope to break into Red this cycle. However, my exception is the basement. If I am in the basement zone, and I can get more than one on the hook because they are rushing the hooks, I do so. I've found that I can snowball an entire game if I can get two in the basement at the same time.

  • My personal view is that each Survivor should have one of their signature Perks converted into a base power (and thus not teachable) in the same way the Killers have a unique Power. That would make the Survivors MORE than just Skins. I'm not a huge fan of ANY of the abilities, Killer or Survivor being converted to automatic, base parts of the game.

  • I often have a pretty good idea where people are even without Barbecue & Chili going off. And I can tell if someone likely ran into a locker by the scratch marks.

  • Well, let me put it this way, I will play Spooky Myers (i.e. Scratch Mirror) over the Vanity Mirror any day. I'm perfectly happy to be even slower but with a better view of things. I've never been able to get any traction with the Vanity Mirror. That middle ground it straddles, i.e. less range on the wall hack but able to get to Tier-2, is tantamount to saying "I do NOTHING really well." So I either play for the ability to go to Tier-3 or stay entirely in Tier-1. I have as many Vanity Mirrors as I do Tombstones, i.e. a TON of them, and unless they get a rework, I don't expect I will ever use them.

    I need to type better

Oh, I get it now. Yeah.... there are limitations in this medium. The typo is a harsh mistress. :)

Idk If it's just me, but If I get salt in my end game chats, I know I played really well and performed decently.

Specially, when I get a ruthless/merciless killer, and they say I "camped" and "tunneled". There's no way you can get a nice score just by standing still near a hook, actually you lose points for that lol :).

I don't enjoy the salt or profanity, but this is because I abhor bad sportsmanship. It really makes me feel less optimistic about people, and I prefer to be keep my "the glass is half full" mentality. So, while I'm not insulted by what they say or take it personal, I'm still annoyed by it because I like this hobby and believe the community is harmed by this sort of behavior.

I've found that the best way to shut it down is embrace it and say something like, "Yes! Let me taste the delicious salt of your tears!" Or, "Them are awful big words for dead folks; if I'm bad, what the heck are you?" All in all, it doesn't matter what you do, bad sports (Killer or Survivor) are going to act poorly and accuse you of anything they can think of to try and shift the blame of their loss.

Because that is what it really comes down to in the end. They aren't trying to convince you of anything; they are trying to lie to themselves about why they lost. All the crap they spew at us is really just personal affirmation, a parroting of any useful idea or notion by which they can hold on to the idea they don't suck. I think this is delusional and self-defeating.

When I get curb-stomped, I admit it. If I am outplayed, what point is there is trying to lie to myself about it. What point is there in hurling impotent accusations at others? Even when I get outplayed by bad sports, I'm going to own up to it. I was in a game at Lerys the other day. Went up against a group that were just incredible. Normally, I rock that map but they taught me I have a long way to go. At the end, one of the group (the only Console Player) stood at the gate and Tea-Bagged and did all sorts of strutting. I even gave that person props for the awesome play, but I also asked him if the tea-bagging was really necessary.

  • Not often no; I'm playing to win and a Face Camp is pretty much ceding the game to make a point. I play to win, and if I can't win I want to learn something from people who are better than me. It takes an awful lot to get me to face camp. Right now, the count is only at two.

Not that I disagree, but I'm going to use this quote for the next umpteenth thread about DS and/or Unbreakable.

You should. I give those threads the same response I give these. I don't complain about any Survivor or Killer Perks that are officially in the game. I get hit with DS all the time and never complain. I have no right to do so. The only thing I every bring up is the so-called 5th Perk (Comms) which SWF have. That one irks me a bit, but only because I think they belong in their own Que so the DEV can give them an extra Generator to complete and/or give the Killer another Perk to balance it. :)

  • @MrLimonka said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1589479#Comment_1589479

Did you even read the post?

Of course, like you and I said, splitting on gens is the best thing to do in the situation - but only a well coordinated SWF or VERY smart solo queue survivors can pull this off.

Your average survivor team (for example 2 friends and 2 solo survivors) won't be doing the optimal thing - one person will be trying to save and crouch next to the camped person, one is going to wander around the map and one is working on gens. This way, the killer gets an easy kill, and there are 3-4 gens left to be done. Winning from that point is a piece of cake. A camped solo queue player can also just suicide on hook, because he won't be getting any points anyway and might as well move on to the next game.

And I don't think I need to explain why standing still in front of a hook for 2 minutes shouldn't be a valid strategy to beat average teams. Do I?

I kind of think you do need to explain. You see, a "valid" strategy is one that works. Thus, if the average team still makes foolish moves then the Killer is going to exploit it. I remember when Kindred first became a thing. I would either see my team all crouching around hiding and doing NOTHING constructive, or all of them rushing toward me for the save. I'm like, WHY are you all coming to save me. It only takes one person to unhook. At worst, two so one can lead the Killer off if he is hanging close. Some of them should be cranking those Generators.

My point is that average to bad players are NOT the Killer's problem. They are YOUR problem. You don't fix it by trying to get the Killer's options lowered. You fix it by expanding the minds of your team. You could be posting long, instructional threads talking about what people should be doing. You are much more likely to make a difference doing that continuing to claim camping is a problem when the DEV have already said it is a valid strategy. Understand?

    1. Survivor is hooked. The ideal is to unhook said survival prior to the struggle state, but not as early as possible. That way you maximize time for Generators if the Killer is staying in the vicinity hoping to get someone who is coming for the save. Every minute he sits there he is thinking about how people aren't coming and how they are popping Generators. I've seen many Campers crack.
    2. Don't farm your team.
    3. Always be doing something.
  • The only difference I've noticed between Console and PC players is the blissful quiet at the end of the game where the Console Players can't talk. I kind of wish they would muzzle the PC players too. Why? Most of the decent folk just say GG and leave it at that. There isn't that much more that goes into it. If we aren't going to talk more, why create a situation where we have to say anything at all. If it isn't a quick GG, it is going to be salt, profanity, or whatever. Who needs that? :)

That is why I make it a point to say more than GG. I like to compliment the people I was impressed with and/or give honest critiques if I can help players that struggled. But I think I'm swimming upstream and the trend is unlikely to catch on. So, with that in mind, I'd rather we not talk at all. :)

  • And I do feel your pain. The kind of coordination required to pull off the stuff you are describing usually requires a SWF who have honed their act so to speak. My personal view is the 5th Perk (Comms) employed by such groups is a problem that isn't going to go away; it is just going to become more acute as time goes on. Myself, if I load into a Lobby and all the Players spawn in at the same time, I decline. That is most likely a group that joined a Lobby as a group. I don't need the aggravation.

At some point there will be a new balance reached, but until then you have those groups which play like that. It is why when I'm Myers I pretty much take Infinite Tier-3 or Tombstone every time if I'm not Spooky Myers. We all are dealing with it.

  • @DeeJHansen said:

I loved this game when I first started. By now I have gotten a couple killers to 50 and am pretty close to red ranks, but the survivors I get matched with have changed.

I get body blocked often and it is the only thing that infuriates me. It often doesn't work out, because it usually has counterplay unless its done right. Here's an example.

Be me on Haddonfield while carrying a David.

Offering to space out hooks and offering for Haddonfield, of course.

Nea and Jake under the nearest hook and Nancy blocking the only gap in the fence to walk through.

Hit Nancy, she runs under hook and Jake takes her place, drop David, hit Jake, pick up David, Nea body blocks, David escapes.

    Get teabagged.

Get body blocked several more times by healthy survivors in chase and get hooks body blocked by multiple survivors.

    I am Ghostface.

Can't use night shroud when being chased and exposed constantly.

All gens done, have one on hook.

    Bombed by three healthy survivors.

Hit one, try to chase, Nancy crouches in a gap looking up at me.

Hit her and she turns white, BT of course, watch as three escape.

Nancy begins to run away, count to fifteen and hit.

Downed but afraid of DS, exit gate is close enough for her to crawl to.

Stand by exit, pick her up at the last possible second, get DS'ed.

    0k lol.

Free escape for poor tunneled survivor.

    Get flamed.

GG EZ. Baby killer. Git Gud. Ur trash. Uninstall. #########.

Survivors can break the game by simply deciding to do so. Then of course they complain when you tunnel the most toxic one out.

Like a Claudette who followed me around on Bedham.

Exposing me from a distance, flashlight clicking, and rushing in for flashlight saves on my downs.

SWF of course, so chasing Claudette means 3 gens being done on the opposite side of the map while I chase.

Eventually tunnel and face camp her out, team falls apart for the 4k at 2 gens left.

This is the best scenario, but really, if we all played fair and right it would have been better for both sides, but some people are just gigantic C U N T S and that may be why I quit playing. The game isn't fun anymore because the survivors have decided that it isn't.

Play Myers. Use Infinite Tier-3 and nobody will body block you... or if they do you get a quick 4K. Or use the Tombstone Piece, (they never know if you have it) and Mori away. Ignore anything they say. People like that don't have anything to say worth hearing anyway. I don't play Ghostface, but I can assure you that Myers gets a bit more respect.

  • Generators are not hard to find... AT ALL. I wish they were. I think if Generators were more difficult to locate and access, and Totems even MORE so, a lot more of the Perks would be worth their weight, and the Gen-Rush would sort itself out.

Besides the obvious PWYF needed for that build, what else do you run?

    Right now I run:

    PWYF (as you guessed)

    Hex: Ruin

    Hex: Thrill of the Hunt

    Sloppy Butcher

*Sloppy Butcher is a nice passive that reliably increases the odds they are still wounded when I hit them for the second jump scare attack. If I use the fact that I'm wall-hacking and keep chase pressure up on them constantly they have very little time to heal. Hex: Ruin slows down the Generators and Hex: Thrill of the Hunt serves a DUAL purpose. It protects Ruin by slowing down people doing Bones, but it also alerts me to whenever a Totem is touched so I can find someone who MIGHT be far away and out of my wall hack view. It allows me to get there before the Totem gets cleaned and pull them off the Totem, or at least drive them away. It helps keep the pressure up. PWYF works as you already know, so I'm not going into that.

Now, depending on the final form, I might swap out Sloppy Butcher for Hex: Undying. Spooky Myers really relies on chase pressure and making them jump at every shadow, and having every oppressive effect he can on Generators.

So you defend facecamping because you like to do it - what a surprise.

No. I don't like to do it. I only "Face Camp," i.e. stand right there once in a Blue Moon when I get a racist or otherwise obnoxious fella in my grip who has also gone out of his way to be toxic in the match and/or hack. And I make it perfectly plain what I'm doing on these rare events.

Now as to whether I stay in the vicinity of a hooked Survivor so I can come back if they run to the hook? Sure. I do that all the time. Of course, I don't want to be seen. I can't do it on the sly like Hag. I do rounds and patrol in the area. But more often than not I can SEE the other Survivors right there. I can't camp if I can see them from the start. Camping implies waiting for them to come to the hook. If they are already there and just waiting for me to leave, that is on them.

  • Also, the Spooky Myers (Scratch Mirror and Boyfriend's Memo add ons) is actually viable on a lot more Maps than most people think. He does well (for me at at least) on the following:

    Meat Packing Plant

    Lerys

    Swamp (all variations)

    Midwich

Haddonfield *Yes Haddonfield... most Myers are terrible there but Spooky does fine and can Gen-Lock very easily.

Cold Wind Farm (all but Rotten Fields)

*I've had 3-4K on ALL of the maps above more often than not using a Myers that never gets out of Tier-1.

  • The truth of the matter is that I have Face Camped a player before who was being extremely rude pre-game (knew him from previous rudeness post game) and he was doing all sorts of annoying stuff in the game I camped him. Even with me RIGHT there face camping him, the dedicated SWF of his pals were able to get him off the hook. It can be done. It happens every day. It just depends on whether there is a will for it to be done. :)

Yeah, you try convincing that random claudette that crouches next to the camped survivor to do a gen. See if you are successful. Facecamping should not be a thing - on high ranks it does not happen and on low ranks it is more common and unstoppable. That is how you lose a playerbase. Maybe you should try playing survivor sometime.

I beg to differ. I have Red Rank Killers after me all the time and I've been camped by them just as much as anyone else. These "subjective" terms like Camping and Face Camping MEAN NOTHING because nobody agrees on it. More to the point, camping (all kinds) is part of the game. You can look back through my posts. You won't find ONE of them talking or complaining about a single Survivor Perk that is INSIDE the game. Why? Because I simply adapt. I play both Survivor and Killer. I've been camped and I have camped. I'm fine with it. I've been tunneled and I have tunneled. I have been mori'd and I have done my fair share of them too. The game keeps right on clicking along. These things aren't problems. They are weird abominations created on the forum in the echo chamber, where we only hear from the unhappy people, rather than the vast majority of players who are FINE with things.

You know how you do that? Sandbag them. They will get the idea. If I have Kindred and notice a herd of Claudette (or any Survivor) doing nothing but crouching about, I'm more than happy to lead my chaser right on top of them. They can help the team by taking that hit. Look, I'm not trying to be a jerk. I understand your frustration, but camping is part of the game. There are lots of ways Survivors can deal with it but they MUST do it as a Team. If they aren't up to doing the simple things, it isn't the Killer's fault.

How do you "train your teammates" when you're playing solo survivor?

You have the same access to their info to send them friend requests that I do. Or you can train them in the game with animations, point and etc. You can get your meaning across, slow but sure. THIS is the game. It is FOUR Survivors versus one Killer. You are not guaranteed all the other Survivors are as good as you. It requires teamwork. Most get better with time. But expecting the game to constantly penalize the the Killer Player because "some" of the Survivors aren't up to snuff is ridiculous. You can also get yourself a group of SWF if that is what you want, or play CUSTOM games where you play only with people you know matter. OR you just keep Ranking yourself up. The better your Rank gets the more other Survivors of like Skill you are going to end up with. Or, play Killer if you can't handle being part of a team.

Many people are saying the solution to facecamping is just to "rush gens and punish the killer" - that is not possible unless you are playing in a coordinated team or have very smart teammates - since that is often not the case, a facecamping killer will get an easy win every single game.

The solution is simple - just give survivors a boost to all actions speeds that slowly and constantly rises as long as the killer is extremely close to the hook. This way facecamping could actually be counterable for less experienced people. The boost would dissapear after all gens are done.

    Your opinions?

How about you learn to coordinate with your teammates and train them not to be "idiots" as you call them. The fact that some Survivors are bad doesn't mean the other Survivors need a boost of any kind. Camping is a legitimate part of the game and the DEV had said time and time again this is the case. Learn to play around it or TEACH your partners in Survival. Quit looking for a handout at the expense of other Players.

Recently I played around with a couple of perks and since I don’t really know much about them I just got a perk called NOED. My first match I got a 3/4 and was wondering if using it was toxic, since much of the community seems to think so. Then again survivor will be survivors.

No it isn't. You do you. Play what you want. If there is a problem with a Perk the DEV will take it away. Until they it is right as raindrops.

So are you suggesting that all the 100+ useless perks in the game should be revisited in small packs of 3 o 6 every mid chapter patch? That would take forever.

Yes, that is exactly what I'm suggesting. This is an interactive system with the Perks (and their consequences) not being knowable until they are live. If you change too many of them at once you increase, exponentially, the number of new issues created by unintended consequences. By in large, it isn't a problem that all these Perks are useless. They are fine. The problem is the few Perks everyone takes are so good that it makes the others suffer by comparison. :)

And easier fix is to adjust the few that everyone takes so that they are not auto-include, and the others look more pleasing.

  • No, it probably would not. The Law of Unintended Consequences just means for ever actual problem solved, three more would be created. That is why one doesn't overhaul massive numbers of things at once. Most of the issues people have were not predicted, but showed up after wards. Big overhauls just create big messes.

  • Again, just no. As it stands ALL the Perks that immunize Survivor's from hits should end the second they touch a Generator, Totem, or anyone starts to heal them. We don't need to build even more immunity into the system.

  • How about "no." Camping is a valid tactic and strategy. Learn to play around it.

  • Negative. This is a Perk level power and does not belong as a built in mechanic unless you want to drop the time to 10 seconds.

  • It is an interesting idea. The main reason fighting SWF is so painful, particularly as your Rank gets better, is that it is so hard just to maintain. It gets easier and easier to lose a Pip. If the requirements to maintain and earn Pips went down for each additional SWF, i.e. they enter the Lobby as a Group, I suspect that would go a long way to cutting the reservations. Combine this with giving the Killer a 5th Perk, and you might have a solution worth trying.

  • Go for it then. It is your time. :)

I see a lot of people saying that spirit isnt op and that need ability and i am gonna to prove that its ez to play and its op

I am an Rank 20 killer because i preffer to play as survival, and i had buyed spirit a week ago and had played like 3 matches

I never play as killer because i prefear to play with my friends

So if you guys dont wanna to see that spirit is op i am gonna to do a challange to my self

i will play as killer for like and week with spirit and i am gonna see what rank can i get in ONE WEEK

i am gonna to take print of every match that i played and show the results of all the matches in another tread in the future

    Rules that i put

If survival DC it isnt gonna count

    I cant use moris

I will play 4 matches per day

    And that it

After a week i will show the results

note: i will not gonna cheat you if you think that i cheat you will be abble to see the rank and the bloodpoints always (:

If you wanna try this challange be free to say the result here in comments just dont lie (:

If you are Level-20 Killer you are fighting potatoes. Of course it seemed easy. Tell you what, why don't you make it a REAL challenge. Play from now till reset and see how high you get. I suspect you will hit a wall sooner than you think.

  • The DEV have said time and time again, that both things are valid tactics. So not only do they not merrit a ban, they aren't even report-worthy.

I was rank 13 last night, now 14 cause I kept getting all red rank survivors.

Trust me. I feel your pain this morning. I might have to step back.

  • @LastShoe said:

Why would you play this game in the morning and not expect sweat?

I don't mind a hard game or a challenge; that is how you get better. But 1-3 making up MOST of my games, things are over too fast for me to even learn anything. I don't mind a sweat, but I do think the matching is out of whack.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    What rank are you?

Seven. I started the morning as a six. But drawing all Red I am almost an eight again and STILL pulling mostly red.

1 … 70 71 72 73 74 … 81
