Next mid chapter is twins if I remember
Twins won't be only killer, Mid-chapters are bigger than that. Probably like Legion & Ghostface mid-chapter we will get changes for both killers.

because they still keep confusing the reward with the punishment and they still believe they should have control where they shouldn't.
the first part is actually very funny, because the exact same issue but reversed is the reason most people didnt enjoy singularity. which includes me as well, even though I initially P100'ed the killer and played him so much, I got to top 10 singularity downs across all steam players.
and those who understand that, but still hate xeno, hate him because they dont enjoy the gameplay which consists of a bigger emphasis on good pathing, as xeno has bigger lethal range than regular m1s.
People will complain about anything if things don't go with their way. Both sides are complaining about anything when they lose and looking for excuse. I don't think any killer needs nerf right now exception of Nurse and Blight ofcourse. And maybe they just should remove their biggest failure, Dull Merchant.
Other killers are just fine. I am not enjoying against Twins, Trickster, Hag, Pinhead etc but i would not call any of them op or anything. Because i know these killers are beatable, not fun to go against but beatable.

i cant wait for that either, but I also cant wait to see all those chucky "lovers" telling themselves how this killer would be the one they'd love to see every game change their boots and call this killer a new reincarnation of spirit that tops old legion in terms of boredom to verse and therefore must be nerfed/reworked/deleted.
Every single time a new powerful killer with consistent reward for high skill expression comes, it always goes the same exact way: first people say how fun and balanced this killer is because they play against babies (on either side), then this killer hits live, diehard killer mains figure out how to play this killer, this killer is in every second game because it's a popular character (that also doesnt suck to play against) and now this killer is hated by all survivor mains.
same thing happened to xeno, i remember how everyone was praising this killer and now people do nothing but cry.
Xeno is fine now.
His missing cooldown was unfairly forgiving. But not anymore. He is still so strong but not annoying. I don't know why people are complaining about him tho.
-
One of the most anticipated killers is coming to DbD with very fun power and he will be in every match? No way!
-
Because BHVR believes this perk is op, so they needed add downside. Like even they remove this penalty, this perk will still stay on meh tier and people will use it rarely.
-
Twins, Hag and Trickster.
I hate these killers equally.

Kate and Mikaela get new cosmetics constantly too. Feng and Meg only have slightly more cosmetics than Kate does, and she has more than Jake, David, and Ace do. Mikaela has more cosmetics than Jeff, who came out years earlier. They're nowhere near as neglected as other characters.
And where i said they don't?
Kate got only 4 new costumes this year. 1 costume for every 3 months. That's pretty normal. Same for Mikaela.
Feng and Meg got costumes almost in every patch which is problem.

I think it has to do with how their CrossPlay works.
With it switched off you only get matched with others just on your own platform who also have it switched off. So for example someone on PS4 who turns off CrossPlay will now only get matched with others on PS4 who also turned it off. Not with anyone on PS5 or any Xbox players or Steam/Epic or Switch, even if they too have CrossPlay off as well. Small pool of players indeed.
Well i know how it is works. If they don't like to play against PC players, they cab disable it. Crossplay between only consoles will never happen, this could effect queues so much
-
All survivor pressure comes from early gens. If you don't do enough gens and then killer decide to tunnel out someone, it's guaranteed lose.
So with this system, killer will have free slowdown at early game. After first down, this mechanic will deactive but then they will tunnel someone out. They will also get slowdown from anti-gen perks.
I just don't see this will be healthy for game. Especially in current meta ( healing is bad and slow, tunnelling is so strong etc. )
-
Bugs can be annoying but cheaters are problem for any live game. You just can't escape from it , you will see them here and there. But at least they are banning them.
Whenever i report someone who was cheating, they are getting ban. That's good enough for me.

This is more of a gen spawn problem than SM problem. Any Killer can use their power and equip 4 regress perks and hold games for long time if they are very dedicated.
This calls for 3-gen issue solving, not SM being bad as usual.
But the point is non of killers can do that easily. SM's power just fits perfectly with this strategy.
I really hope BHVR is coming with good solution for 3-gen without making game misarable for killers.
-
I feel you and you are right.
Whenever my mains (Kate, Jill and Mikaela) are not getting new costumes, i am keeping my money for myself. They can release countless Feng and Meg costumes but who cares? But most likely so much people are playing them, so they are getting costumes so much.
I wish they just slow-down with giving costumes to these 2, like they beat everyone else with costume numbers.
-
Like you said, it's meh perk. But i will take meh perk instead old op perk. But i won't be against some buffs tho.

I would actually love to have more strong perks. Where the choice is hard as to what equip. Most could be achieved by a simple numbers change on the stats.
So instead of having the same 10 meta perks for years, we would see variation.
Devs could go over the top with the perks. Test it during an event to see how people like it.
This will never happen sadly.
Devs loves to add op perks to new chapters, sell them as you can and then nerf them to ground.
-
Pharmacy is actually nerfed and BHVR just called it "Buff". And then perk got another nerf with med-kit nerfs. Because green med-kit is not strong anymore.
This perk should be buffed again.
-
This bug is in game like for years since hit validation added. And sadly never fixed.
Happens with pallet stuns as well.
-
Xeno is fine. He is strong in chase, true. But you can use stealth against him. Turrets are just warning you. So whenever you are hearing he is coming, just start run. And make him waste time for look you. Pre-dropping pallets are working against him, never greed against Xeno.
He is fine as he is. No change needed.
-
Nah, that's not the way nerf Nurse. Her power will be always problem, ignoring all game mechanics is busted asf. So this won't fix her issues.
she need rework, i don't think any nerf will make her fair and balanced.

I mean, realistically whats the harm being done IF the Entity cucks you in a chase, when the killer has a single hook on two different survivors, when the 4th gen pops and its only one to go? Thats exactly when such a mechanic would be needed and you/your team were obviously doing pretty well up to this point and expecting an easy 4E, knowing that no one was in real danger.
Or when the killer gets the totally drop on unprepared survivors who are scared shitless and refuse to touch gens afterwards and he gets like 4 hooks before the first gen is done. Maybe then some pallets should respawn or even one gen auto repair 50%.
Its situations like this, where a comeback mechanic should kick in and hopefully make the game a bit more interesting instead of just a wash for the winner.
That's big no from me.
If i won the game, i won. Losing side should just take L and learn from mistakes.

UW nerf will be enough.

It's nothing to do with survivors being 'bad at hiding'. Once UW triggers, you have a very limited time to find a hiding spot, and the killer will either know where you've gone if you try to run (Scratch marks) or know that you're hiding somewhere nearby. (If there's no scratch marks)
Scratch marks, including their absence, do a ton of heavy lifting here.
I think we are bad, we just should hide in locker and count 30 seconds. Easy counter, UW is just fine :d if you believe so
Hopefully BHVR will take care this perk very soon

Its like talking with wall ...
1) When Xeno released his tail strike miss was bugged, ie not there at all. When they rectified the issue, they also nerfed the whole thing ON TOP of implementing the cooldown correctly, so we never saw the unbugged version and went straight from "bugged with no cooldown" to "cooldown, but with nerfed numbers", which felt like a double slap in the face.
2) The whole design philosophy of this killer. When a power is in great parts in control of the players anc can be completely taken away from the killer, it NEEDS to be above the curve. Xeno had this for a very short time in its life cycle: the power was stronger then others and allowed them to hunt down survivors with cold efficiency, but they risked to have it taken away and being turned into an M1 killer.
It was never officially announced, but when they nerfed the tail cooldown, something broke in the Xenos DNA (code) and the tail became extremely unreliable, to the point of being useless. You could hit it directly at survivors and see the tail penetrate through their chest, only for it to not register and locking you in a long cooldown animation. This felt extremely unrewarding.
Now things have cooled off a bit, but the problem still stands: Xenos power can be taken completely away, but the power isn't above the curve anymore and feels like any other ranged power, ie clunky to use, prone to misses and utterly unusable at trash heap loops.
Bonus point: how quickly the Xenomorph was nerfed. Yes, this happened to some survivor stuff in the past, but people usually have to go back to things like MoM's release or the Buckle Up fiasco, in order to find quick nerfs to survivor perks that were really busted, while MFT stood untouched for ages. This left a bitter taste in the mouth of many killers who would have loved to sneak around as the Xeno-kitten, but felt like it just didn't cut it anymore. Also, take into account that we got two very, very lukewarm original killers with The Knight and The Skullmerchant before this, and then got promised the next strong killer in ages with The Singularity, to finally break the curse, only to have him severely neutered from PTB to live in way that can only be described as ... unfun. In this environment one of the biggest licenses ever drops in the form of the Xeno, and after feeling awesome and extremely cool, it got nerfed and broken and spit out as a shadow of its former self and that is just sad.
If Xeno player is not bad, power can not be taken. It just helps survivor to make some distance at best. He is easily top tier killer, he is fine even with nerf.

Well, then I am sorry to say that this would kill the game for me. I don't like playing as Nurse and I only play a few Blight games at a time (he is enjoyable for a bit, but I rather play other killers). If it's them, survivor or nothing at all, then I would quit. Because there is quite a lot of content in the game they would break by doing that. Stopping with UW wouldn't do much. We'd go back to how it was before. And that wasn't much better, was it?
Basically, Blight and Nurse would still be overpowered (I mean, look at these streaks, perkless and no map offerings) while every other killer would suffer. You wouldn't actually fix the issue but hope to make it more bearable for one side, while almost deleting the other (31 / 33 killers would feel these nerfs too, when they don't need that). That cannot be a good idea.
Just a few examples of other perks they'd need to nerf: BBQ, Lethal Pursuer, Pain Res, Deadlock (granted, needs changes anyway), Floods of Rage, Forced Hesitation, Gift of Pain, Pop Goes The Weasel, Dying Light, Eruption, Agitation, Corrupt Intervention, DMS, Undying (the aura effect alone is kind of funny stupid on Nurse), Nurse's Calling, Alien Instinct, Bitter Murmur, Blood Echo, Call of Brine, Dark Devotion, Cruel Limits, Darkness Revealed, Infectious Fright and Discordance.
Some of these perks aren't even that strong. But because Blight and Nurse can use them to get even a little stronger, it's still too much. The list is much longer but you get the idea. This is a bottomless pit.
But the problem is UW is problematic perk even without Nurse & Blight. Like it's very free and it has no downside.
I mean as players we are seeing how problematic killers are Nurse and Blight but BHVR is refusing to nerf these two. Would you surprise if they nerf Wesker in next patch but keep Blight as he is? I would not. For whatever reasons, Nurse and Blight are never getting fair nerfs.

And so does LP, and NTH, and WoO, all info Perks that grant you info for free, but I don’t see you complaining about any of those
LP is free for very limited time and only one time use.
NTH has free value true but it has limited time and limited range as well. So NTH's limits makes it fair and balanced.
WoO gives info for free true but it does not make you good looper. If you are bad, you will just out of pallets so fast. Good survivors are not even using it. It's training perk for best.

By that logic, the best Perks Survivors should have access to are No Mither and Self-Care since a super good SWF running full meta is as good (if not better) than a Nurse/Blight that’s running full meta
There already countless survivor perks nerfed only because of that. SWFs are already reason for a lot survivor perks nerfed.

Are you suggesting we repeat what happened to Awakened Awareness? Because then, we would also need to nerf about 50 other perks and change their best maps. They can perform perfectly fine with no perks at all even on very survivor sided maps. Now, Freddy on the other hand can't even perform that good with the best perks and on his best map. As most killers can't.
Both Nurse and Blight are issues, that should be dealt with individually. Changing the game around them would maybe work, if they made up the largest part of it, but these are only 2 out of 33 killers. I'd rather they find a suitable rework for Nurse and we send some Seal Team Six Squad to the BHVR head quarters to stop whoever Blight main holds them hostage, so they can nerf him too. That is definitely a better option than to break the game.
Yes, if Nurse and Blight are not going anywhere we need to nerf perks. Strong perks should never exists when these killers are in game.
I would like to see nuke Blight and rework Nurse but i am highly doubt this will happen. So we have to target next things which makes them even worse to face.

The Perk has a 30 second activation window. You will usually reveal every Survivor in about 10-15 second, after which the Perk does nothing and then goes on cooldown.
Just because it isn’t called a cooldown doesn’t mean that it isn’t one. The Perk has a period where you can’t activate it again that’s longer than 30 seconds
And in this 30 seconds you already found your target to chase. You did nothing, only open locker and you already know where is all survivors are. So what's your point? It does not matter if it is in cooldown or not after that. Perk already gave you free value.
If we really wanna make it cooldown, it should be 60 - 90 seconds after this 30 seconds active time ended. This will be real cooldown.

Lethal Pursuer is for free and is way more impactful since the first chase is way more important than any subsequent chase.
And then there’s WoO, who also grants free info, but I don’t see anyone complaining about it since there’s no need to complain about it.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3586346#Comment_3586346
if you’re so busy that you can’t look around for a second to see where someone was hooked, you have bigger issues than just Blindness
Lethal is giving you information at start for limited time. And perk has another value but you need to use another aura perk for it. If you bring only Lethal, you will use it at start and then you won't get any value after that.
-
@Huxy said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3586340#Comment_3586340
Do you think Aura reading Perks are busted as well? Since you don't even know when they activate (unlike UW), the information is a lot stronger and have to run Distortion to effectively counter them.
Aura perks are fine because they are not coming for free. The only free aura value comes from Nowhere to Hide but it has very short active time and very short range. Other aura perks asking killer to do something for value. So they are fine.
But UW is busted and it's so free to use. It's active for 30 seconds, map wide since you will just travel the map. Any survivor in your TR will scream and you will find them easily. This perk can't exists at all. Whenever people stops to buy Alien, this perk will be nerfed. Like what happened MfT. So for now, you can enjoy with this busted perk.
-
@appleas said:
Doesn’t the perk encourage more interaction in the form of letting Killers start chases earlier? If the perk is such an issue, just run Calm Spirit. Aura perks have existed for so long and people have already accepted that running distortion alleviates this issue. I don’t see why the same can’t be done for Screams.
Devs could also remove the debuff speed to cleansing totems/opening chests for Calm Spirit too.
Nowhere to Hide was complained about quite a bit at the start but people have also learnt to play around it and not crouch near gens when the Killer comes.
I am not gonna use garbage perk like Calm Spirit. No, thanks.
I will just wait for nerf because i know this busted perk won't stay like that.
-
It's free value, using it braindeadly easy. It busted on top tier killers. It has busted synergy with DMS.
All other information perks requires something killer to do. But not this one. Open locker and find all survivors easily.
This perk needs big nerf. Cooldown should be like a minute if perk stays like that.
-
He is not console friendly killer for sure but it's not hard to play as well. PC players will perform better with him like similar killers like Oni and Blight. But console players will be just fine. Chucky is not that complicated.
-
@UndeddJester said:
That... is actually a very interesting idea...
Actually gives survivors value to cleansing totems and using boons to block hexes from spawning, making totems a more legitimate side quest in general.
Makes hex perks much more viable as an individual perk for build synergies rather than having to go hard on hexes to get any use from them. It also makes Hex:Undying no longer mandatory for a hex build.
Hex: Undying still has a purpose as you can use it to preserve tokens and obviously assist defending your hexes.
I see a lot of potential in this idea...
If boons was worth to bring
Like all of them are so garbage
Maybe exception of CoH being a bit better than being garbage

Not necessarily free when you need a down + hook to activate it.
It's free value. Killers like Trapper need to work for it but killers like Blight just need to open locker and travel map with power.
This perk should reward weak killers, top tier killers should get only little value since they don't need it.
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
It’s a problem on every killer, not just top tiers. Yeah, the DMS + UW combo is better on high mobility killers but UW by itself still provides insane value. DMS is just the icing on the cake.
I am not going against weak killers so much, so i will take your words on that. But i am seeing a lot top tier killers with this combo and it's insanely busted on them.
This perk deserves big nerf and it should not work with DMS. It's just braindeadly easy value, killers should not get free slowdown like that.

what risks? there is no risk to using it if you know what your doing. I have been using Dramaturgy+Dead hard for about 3 weeks but it is not been my main build. it is my side-build. My typical build is MFT+DH however when MFT was announced to be getting nerf, i needed to adapt my build because the perk inevitably face negative changes.
Dramaturgy is old DH for distance. you use it exactly how old DH for distance dashing worked. it gives 25% haste for 2 seconds for free at activation of a command. It has severe drawback which is that you need to be healthy to use it. you greed windows and if killer makes correct read where he wins 50/50 where killer gains distance, then you use the perk to get back distance loss to get to a pallet/window vault. Once I get hooked, My dead hard activates. Now i just ignore the perk and I use dead hard as my exhaustion perk. I don't think DH needs introductions given that it was meta few patch ago before COH got nerfed.
I am glad you are enjoying with it but i just don't see it will be meta. SB, Lithe and even BL will have more use.

Tommy is probably the best shout for Friday the 13th, though it's only marred by the fact his film where he was the main centrepiece wasn't actually Jason 😒

WoO isn’t a new excuse. I’ve been complaining about it long before MFT existed.
And if you want to have a 20% pick rate cutoff, then we should be needing Adrenaline too. I usually don’t run pain res, because I think scourge hooks are unreliable, so if these perks need to be nerfed together, then whatever.
I am not saying cut these perks just because of pick-rates. I am completely against that.
But by your logic, yeah we should nerf all of these. Any perk which hits +20% should be nerfed then. I don't think this is good idea tho and i doubt devs will nerf these perks just cuz that.
-
@Coffeecrashing said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3584244#Comment_3584244
The pick rate of WoO is out of control, even when compared to pain res. PR isn’t “almost on all killer builds”. None of the stats support that claim.
Out of control? Last stats just shows it has 29% pick rate. And it has 34% on NL right now. If that's out of control, what was old Dead Hard?
PR has 21% pick-rate and the most popular killer perk atm. So if we are gonna hunt most pick-rated perks, PR will be nerfed too. Treatment happens equally for both sides. But we can't nerf perks just because they are being using so much. If there is balance issues, i am sure BHVR will take care it but there is not. Pick rate should never be nerf reason unless if there is balance issues like i said.
So i guess after MFT's nerf, our new excuse will be WoO?

I’m worried if they nerf the Scamper it’s going to be dead part of his kit, because he would never be able to catch the survivors with it. It would be helpful against god pallets but i think it’s easier to just break them instantly. If they touch it, I think it would be better to like, you can go under pallets for like a second or two when you activate Hisey-Ho mode
Honestly if they nerf Scamper, they will need to make him 115% and reduce his cooldown. And his power is very limited with turning, so he is not like Wesker where killer has 2 rushes ( first one for LoS and second one for hit ). Chucky has only one dash for very limited time. And then long cooldown starts.
He is just perfect in PTB, they should not change him.
-
@Coffeecrashing said:
Neither one of these perks is a priority. Windows of opportunity is the perk that should be nerfed next. The pick rate is out of control, and it can affect the first chase of the game way too much, because all the pallets are still available.
Does everyone remember dead hard got nerfed so it wouldn’t affect the first chase of the game? Windows of opportunity still has that issue, where it allows survivors to just bring the killer from pallet to pallet to pallet.
So if we are gonna nerf perks just for pick-rate, then WoO won't be nerfed alone. PR is almost on all killer builds.

Chucky is feeling very balanced honestly. I don't think big changes will happen after PTB. I enjoyed so much against him and playing him made me love this game again. Seriously i was needing him to enjoy this game again lol.
Maybe they can nerf his pallet ability a bit and buff his cooldown. So closer to Wesker. More chance to use power but less oppressive.
Can't wait to buy him
