  • I play very poorly without Shadowborn.

Unlike others, I don’t get headaches if I don’t use Shadowborn. However, the game feels sluggish and slow, and I play poorly because I swing from further away due to muscle memory tied to that perk.

The only two killers that I don’t use Shadowborn on is Oni and Myers because Monitor and Abuse really thrives on those two. When I do play those two it’s a feels bad, because I feel like I’m moving at a snails pace.

    Where is my FOV slider?

Just because “casuals” have trouble beating them, does not mean they aren’t balanced. Blight’s kit is PERFECTLY balanced. The issue is how many simply don’t know how to counter a blight. I’ve got coming up on 1400 hours in blight alone, and majority of the people I come up against still try and hold W. It literally does not work.

Then I’ll get some survivors who know all my counters and it’s a really good chase, just like any other killer.

And I hate to break it to you.. this game isn’t really a “casual” game anymore. It’s very much a competitive pvp. There are so many skilled players now. Nearly every single squad I go against is playing for keeps when playing blight.

But yea… spirit is pretty weak addonless.. majority of vet / good killer mains will agree. I wouldn’t say a killer is “too good” if they need addons to compete. Sure.. a noob squad may get rolled.. but a competent team of survivors will stomp an addonless spirit.

I never have and I never will believe that Blight’s kit is perfectly balanced. He’s way too oppressive of a killer. Good Blight players steam roll most people. It’s just like Nurse but to lesser degree. I just don’t believe that S tier killers are balanced around most of the playerbase. Around a stacked 4 SWF? Sure. That’s about it.

If any killer’s base kit is perfectly balanced, it’s Oni.

You can believe that Spirit is weak without add-ons, your opinion. But as someone who has actually played the killer religiously since her inclusion into the roster, she’s not weak without add-ons. As I said, there is no point in even bringing up whether or not a killer is good with or without add-ons because nobody is gonna play without add-ons unless they’re a Chad. Imagine thinking that only a noob squad is gonna lose to one of the best killers if they have no add-ons equipped.

But no, I do not believe she “needs add-ons to compete”

Ah yes, how can I forget. The SUPER competitive asymmetrical multiplayer horror game. That people take super seriously. It’s totally competitive and people don’t play just for fun. It’s all about that sweat!

Agree to disagree. We won’t see eye to eye.

Too strong to be balanced?? Should we just have no killers that can put up a fight against a good squad of survivors?

It’s crazy you would even say that about spirit too. She’s so weak without addons.

The game should be balanced around casuals, not a good four man SWF. The game would quite literally die if all killers were Blight/Spirit level because casuals wouldn’t wanna play and all that would be left is really good players who try super hard.

It’s okay to have killers who are very good in against a four man, but it’s coping to say that they’re “balanced” when they completely annihilate causal players and chases are non existent and super quick. They can be strong but it doesn’t mean they are in a balanced position. An S tier killer is probably never going to be in a truly balanced place.

People underestimate Spirit ever since she was changed. She still sits prominently in the top 5 of pretty much everybody’s tier list. Almost every time I watch a VOD on Twitch of myself going against a TTV and they play against my Spirit, they’re miserable in the match and complain that she wasn’t nerfed enough and this was well before her audio bug, the complaints are only heightened because of the bug. Not to boost my own ego but I’m pretty good at Spirit and I have her at P50. It will usually take a really good squad to four out with me. And that’s not impressive because I’m playing Spirit. I use the two yellow add-ons that everybody uses.

She’s just not balanced for casuals. She will stomp almost all casual players. It takes a really good group to do good against a competent Spirit. This is only heightened with Blight especially with a lot of his add-ons

Why even bring up if a killer is bad or not without add-ons? Most killers that you run into are going to bring some form of add-ons. Only about 5% of killers won’t run add-ons. And she’s not weak without out add-ons, she’s far from it. She is weaker of course but so is every killer without their best add-ons.

TL/DR: Spirit and Blight are too good to be considered balanced because they stomp almost all casuals and that is okay to be a very strong killer but it’s not “balanced” in the slightest because 95% of DBD players are causal.

  • @Veroles said:

To do it right you have to answer this question for every map. The map is the most heavy thing what makes things unbalanced.

    This is 100% accurate.

Most killers will do good on Coal Tower.

Only map traversal killers will do decent on a large map like Mother’s Dwelling if the survivors split gens.

Huntress sucks on Gideon but Nemesis does pretty well.

RNG is a big aspect in “is the balanced or not”?

  • Oni and Plague are the only two I can think of.

Wesker would be if he couldn't suck you back over a vault with his bound after you already vaulted and wasn’t brain dead to tunnel with due to the hindred effect of his power.

Anyone who says Spirit and Blight are coping pretty hard. I’m a Spirit main but MDR/Amulet and somewhat cherry blossom (when it isn’t bugged) are busted and her audio is bugged. Even despite all of that, the chase is pretty much in her hands. Blight also has busted add-ons and an extremely strong chase power

Spirit and Blight are too strong to be considered “balanced”. Maybe against a strong group but not casual players. They’ll annihilate you.

  • Survivor: Boil Over. It’s not really a good perk per say but it’s extremely annoying to face and a lot of people like to burn maps with insanely good map buildings that you HAVE to drop from a two story height and continuously run up to the top floor. I just hate this perk.

Killer: Uh…nothing bothers me too much since Eruption is getting changed. I guess Franklin’s or Rancor just because they’re super petty perks

Spirits great. They all agreed after picking her is the funny thing. Said she was easy to learn and get kills with. We are of course speaking about "AVERAGE" Survivors per my original post. Sounds like an issue on your side if you had trouble with her early on against mediocre people.

I never had an issue with Spirit but that’s because I’ve mained her ever since her release back in 2018, I had prior experience with the general killer gameplay, and I played release Spirit when barely anyone knew how to counter her. So I don’t know why you’re making assumptions…

Nowadays, picking Spirit as your FIRST killer main when everyone knows her gameplay and without prior knowledge and experience when playing killer seems like a disaster. A simple killer like Wraith where the survivors can’t stealth you and you still learn the basic killer gameplay seems like the way to go. Spirit thrives when you already know how to play a basic killer and have that foundation :/

I wouldn't say Spirit requires as much skill as a Hillbilly. Spirit is often who I recommend to friends just starting Killer as you can learn her basics much faster and you don't bang your head into a wall as much trying to get the power to pay off, similar to someone like Hillbilly. More often than not you can just use her power on a YOLO and you find someone.

It really isn't too skill intensive to play her at a decent level. I think many people overestimate how hard she is to play. She is much easier to chase with in comparison to any other Killer without a teleport honestly. I agree at the higher level of course, but against "average" Survivors (which is the majority of the DBD community), you can play Spirit pretty badly and still come out on top simply due to how much ground she gains when in her power.

Spirit’s not even a good killer to start with, why would recommend her to people just starting the game?

She requires you to know how to track using your ears more than your eyes. Most newer killer players can’t even track scratch marks and follow basic survivor movement. It took me a good week or so to even know what scratch marks were doing back in 2018.

She’s a 110% killer who relies heavily on her power that requires you to know how to track survivors which newer players simply don’t know how to do especially if the survivor isn’t injured.

Best killers to start with are Trapper, Wraith, Legion, etc…not Spirit.

  • Because I want variety in who I play.

I’m a Spirit main. Love her. She’s my absolute favorite and I love playing her. I don’t ONLY want to play Spirit though. Sometimes I wanna play Plague or Nemesis. Sometimes I just wanna chill with an M1 killer like Myers and Sadako and I do well most of the time. My Sadako matches are usually better than my Nemesis matches.

Not everyone only wants to play Nurse, Blight, and Spirit and just win every match.

Seems like everyone here forgot that Clown got kill switched because of infinite haste bug.

Because Clown has 5 mains and nobody noticed he was gone

  • It’s not a game-breaking bug. The only killer to ever be kill switched is Nurse and that is because she was quite literally unplayable and would get stuck and couldn’t move.

Every killer has had some sort of bug with them but most of the time they are not unplayable. Wesker currently will suck a survivor back over the vault that they vaulted. On the survivor’s screen they’re clear across the vault but the killer‘s client registers a hit and it will suck the survivor back over the vault. Should Wesker be kill switched?

It seems as though you just want Spirit kill switched because you dislike facing her. This current bug doesn’t delete her entire counterplay. Frustrating? Yes. Unplayable for the killer and unbeatable for the survivor? No.

    She ain’t getting kill switched.

  • The chase time is super RNG dependent. You have to ask yourself questions…

What killer are you? The chase time is going to vastly different when you’re a Spirit vs playing Pig.

What map are you on? You are going to waste a lot more time destroying resources on Cowshed compared to Shelter Woods.

Is it the beginning of the match or toward the end of the match? The survivors have a bigger advantage toward the beginning of the match because they still have the entire map to work with while at the end of the match they would’ve drain a lot of the resources.

How good are the survivors and are they pre-dropping pallets or milking their resources?

There are too many variables to say what a true “ideal” chase time should be. You could be Pig on Cowshed and your first down is at 2 gens or you could be a Spirit on Shelter Woods and the chases last 20 seconds. The game is way too RNG dependent.

  • A killer I’m personally bad with but like to play is Nurse. I’m getting better with her but I’m still not great.

A killer that is low tier but I love to play is Sadako. Don’t know why. I just really like Sadako and I don’t even play to condemn people. It’s just a basic build of BBQ, Brutal, COB, and Shadowborn. She’s my “turn you brain off and just play the game” killer.

I completely forgot the DCB is supposed to give a visual indicator, I use that combo so rarely. Kind of useless except for detecting crouched survivors now, it's sad. xD

That is a bug right? I rarely use that add-on because it’s messes me up sometimes but I know it doesn’t give a visual indicator now but I’m assuming it’s a bug and not a shadow nerf.

Fixing his techs would also require the devs to fix the maps though. I mean, I've only been messing around for two days (and doing predictably terribly), and even I'm blatantly aware of how jank the collision on some seemingly normal surfaces are. So, that sort of thing is just going to always remain some sort of mess.

I don't think another set of add-ons like Spirit's would be good, to be fair. You can kind of make some of the gimmicky ones work, but if you're not going to be running any of the strongest ones, it just defaults to basically... well, yellows all the time. Kind of like Knight. And that's really boring. I'm not sure I've ever felt once inclined to run the 'return to husk' addon. At least Furin can do funny stealth stuff.

Plus, a lot of Blight's addons already are kind of gimmicky or strange in a way. It's just, what, blight tag, alchemist's ring, and adrenaline vial being stacked? Stacking speed boost and turn speed are neat and strong, but they're not all-out-of-proportion strong.

They gave Nurse the Spirit treatment and gave her gimmicky add-ons and they’re both just fine because they’re strong killers. Blight’s add-ons are just too oppressive. I actually don’t even think nurse has any oppressive add-ons anymore.

I would personally completely rework Alchemist Ring, keep one of either Blighted Crow or Rat and remove the other one, and then either keep C33 or Adrenaline Vial and rework the other one. Blighted Tag I haven’t seen many Blight’s use but some people say it is oppressive.

Like I said, having two or three good add-ons is fine but he just has too many in comparison to the other top killers who both have a lot of niche or gimmick add-ons.

But yeah, with Spirit, I typically only run both movement speed and duration, yellow add-ons. I only run Uchiwa if I have Hubris and that’s about it. I don’t like running MDR and amulet because I feel mean when I do 😭

Oh I forgot, I do like the Katana add-on

But... those aren't what make the Killers problematic.

Like, you're saying that Nurse should have even less mobility than normal Killers. Without the new Campbell's Last Breath, her point to point mobility isn't any better than an M1 Killer's (she ignores obstacles, which is the strong part, and her instantaneous speed catches people off guard). Making her teleport slower isn't a balance pass, it's fundamentally destructive to the Killer's ability to function: it creates a situation where even well-targeted and well-timed blinks would be avoidable, just because of enforcing slow transit time.

And for Blight, you'd fundamentally take away the Killer's ability to play around areas with obstacles, or loops, except for the people already really good with the alchemist vial. Which shows that at best you'd just raise the skill floor to do anything a ton and annoy a lot of people (not everyone that plays a Killer has god-tier mechanical abilities at it), and at worst overnerf it so much that entire maps become unplayable either because you can't line up something to slam into or avoid things when you need to. Plus a similar issue if you target the speed instead: less dangerous, easier to dodge, loses the whole mobility aspect, requires even more obstacles that he can hit (because speed factors into maximum distance factors into when obstacles are needed), and in general doesn't fix the parts that are actually broken.

Nurse's problem is a fundamental design one: she goes through walls and can't be looped. Making her teleport much slower won't change those parts, it just makes the experience miserable in a "punish the people that enjoy Nurse" way. That isn't balancing, it's trying to force people out of playing something you don't like.

Blight's problem, as everybody except you seems to agree, is that he has some incredibly stupid addons that just lead to infinite power usage and instadowns.

Then again, you've made threads complaining about regression perks, complaining about aura perks, and now complaining about any Killer that managed to get a 4k from people being stupidly altruistic. Your balance ideas are seriously out of line with the game in general.

I do agree with this. Nurse is always going to be Nurse. She has a fundamental design flaw because she was released back in 2016 when there was legitimate infinite in the game so the answer to countering infinities was “just playing Nurse.”

Nurse is never going to get a true rework because there’s no monetary value off of reworking her when they can spend funds on making another killer. So might as well just except her for what she is.

Blight on the other hand, I really personally despise facing, but he doesn’t really have any glaring issues besides all the ”techs” that people find with him which most of them have been removed, except for hug teching which the devs have already said, isn’t intended.

Nerf his add-ons, and put him line with Nurse and Spirit, where he has about two or three good add-ons, and all the rest are niche or gimmicky because he’s already strong enough. He doesn’t need extremely strong add-ons.

  • @RainehDaze said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3332420#Comment_3332420

Sure, but it all depends what a person finds more fun. People who want mobility are going to be inclined to one of those two, for a start.

There's things about any Killer that can drive someone off--Spirit's absurd reliance on audio cues and lopsided information feeding, Wesker attempting to cause hearing damage (and being licensed), Plague being generally disgusting, Pyramid Head controlling in the weirdest way possible, etc.

And many of those are less viable. Things like Oni being just an M1 killer until you can actually get a hit, Spirit's aforementioned asymmetrical information game (she can't hide her audio without Furin and terror radius games, Survivors can be quiet), Hag losing to a flashlight, etc.

I’m all aware about Spirit as I am a Spirit main as I’m sure you are as well. She can deter people away due to her high reliance on auditory clues so I do know where you are coming from.

But what I trying to get at is that the original person basically said that only Blight and Nurse were viable killers to the general killer playerbase which is just an incorrect statement because honestly any killer can do well. Of course you’ll get matches were you would do better as a killer like Huntress compared to Sadako but for a majority of people’s games, they get average players. You ain’t getting Seal Team 6 every match where you must play your sweat build in order to win.

And you are correct, different factors can drive people away from certain killers but there’s 30 killers to choose from. And if 28 of those killers are “unviable” then that might be a you problem (referring to the OP not you specifically).

BTW how is Wesker “attempting to cause hearing loss”. When playing him I haven’t heard extremely loud noises but maybe that’s just me.

  • @RainehDaze said:

People want to play things that can actually stand a chance against decent Survivors. Not the ones where you're forced to spend most of the game going through the motions and unable to really use your power, because playing safe can be so effective. That either means strong perks, or a strong basekit, and the strong basekit is generally more fun. You don't get stuck on Hold W Round Pallet.

Playing strong Killers doesn't mean wanting easy wins, it means wanting agency within the game.

That is true but what the original person said is that only one or two killers were viable (talking about Nurse and Blight) while there is a whole laundry list of very good killers.

Spirit. Wesker. Artist. Plague. Pyramid Head. Nemesis. Huntress. Hag. Oni. All of these killers are very strong and viable killers and you do not have to play just Nurse and Blight to have a good time as killer and not feel powerless.

Ok, gonna be snarky here but… Maybe if you took the time to get good at the ‘non-viable’ killers in the game you wouldn’t need to rely on the 2 OPAF killers to give you easy wins.

Again… it seems like killers act like they are facing killer 4 man swfs all day long and are in such misery that they NEED nurse and blight to just get a win. This is utter hogwash and everyone knows it. Killer players have become accustomed to winning. They get 3-4ks all day long and they don’t want it to end. That’s the story.

My first game today: Blight on Coal Tower. Lethal, Agi, IF, Deerstalker. Iri Blight tag, Alchemists Ring. P47. He slugged everyone. 4k. 0 gens done.

Yeah, they replied to me with that and I thought I was transported back to 2018 DBD when that was everyone’s mindset.

Like I get regular 4K’s with Sadako not using the condemned playstyle. Every killer is 100% viable.

even if the survivors appeared on an empty map without pallets and windows, the killer would still not have enough time to make 12 hooks before starting all the generators

let's say the killer spends 20 seconds to find surv, shift w (without dh) takes 30 seconds + taking into account the animation, the average hook time is 10 seconds, during this time the killer loses 3 generators, while the killer needs to make 11 more hooks

and now add palettes, windows and dh here

so no, most killers are literally non-viable

Are you are a meme lord? This has to be a meme. A goof. A swerve. A joke.

  • @sanees said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3332317#Comment_3332317

maybe if the survivors didn't cry for every killer then we would have more than 2 viable killers in the game and then you would not play so often against 1 killer?

And this mindset right here is exactly why I rarely post on the forums.

Every killer is viable and both sides in this community cry about nonsense.

  • I despise facing Blight. I see him so often in so many games and I’m tired of seeing him over and over again. Against an experienced one, it’s just like Nurse and Spirit…you’re gonna lose. Unless you have a competent team. Even then it is probably still just gonna be an L for you.

Overall I think Blight is fine base-kit. He has no glaring issues other than my own personal boredom of facing him. He’s an oppressive killer but that’s just how he is designed. He’s always going to be be that kind of killer just like Nurse.

Only thing I would say is he should get the Nurse/Spirit treatment where most of his add-ons are niche or gimmicky and he has two or three strong add-ons. Reason I say that is because he can afford that. Look at the other two best killers, Nurse has maybe two or three strong add-ons and the rest are niche but she is STILL the best in the game and does not need oppressive add-ons. Spirit is the exact same way. She has three great add-ons, two good yellow ones and the rest are gimmick add-ons.

There is no reason for Blight to have so many oppressive add-ons for how strong he already is.

  • Does it fit her? No, not really. It’s still really good chase music and it sounds like boss music to me, which I suppose is fitting for the best killer in the game.

Overall, I love her chase music. Does not particularly fit her aesthetic but I can accept it.

  • If we are talking flat out annoying killers it would be Legion, Pinhead, and Doctor. Doctor’s entire schtick is to annoy the player, Legion just hits and runs and commits to no chases, and Pinhead completely destroys solo queue with the box mechanic.

The hit and run Wraith build is also one of the most annoying and dull things you can ever face. It’s the basic Legion playstyle, but better. It’s the reason I despise seeing Wraith.

Anyone who mains Spirit absolutely did notice the changes as they were extremely significant. The survivors can react faster than you can to the sound meaning faking your sound is a joke and doesn’t realistically work against good survivors unless you’re of course running certain addons like MDR because it makes it so that they can’t react faster. The directional audio is never to your advantage unless the survivors are bad.

I am a Spirit main and I can tell you that from your perspective as Spirit, nothing really changed. The way you play Spirit is the exact same except the survivors have some form of counterplay now. What exactly changed from Spirit perspective gameplay wise?

Certain things changed like you can’t get cheesy Prayer Beads grabs, bumping into survivors while phasing, and you can’t “fake phase and MiNdGaMe”, but tracking while phasing and her power as a whole is still the same and Spirit has mechanically been the same killer since her release in 2018

And I can 100% tell you that you can use directional audio to your advantage. I’ve done it many of times and they weren’t all “bad survivors”. Of course you can’t do it at very long loops but at a lot of standard loops, you can. You can’t say directional audio is NEVER to the Spirit’s advantage. You don’t need MDR to do that because she’s already moving fast enough.

Agree to disagree but coming from someone who mains Spirit, I play her the exact same way I used to and still get basically the same results

  • @Blueberry said:

I think they're just referencing Spirit with MDR. Without it I totally agree, she's a shadow of her former self and absolutely not top 5. With MDR however you're basically trying to move faster than the survivors can react to her sound, which is ironically why she's not that great otherwise since they can normally now react faster than you can move making her nearly an m1 killer at most loops without the addon.

    That’s not accurate though.

Anyone who mains Spirit barely noticed any changes. She moves at 176% base kit and you can use the directional audio to your advantage and make survivors vault and you can double back to the other side of the pallet quicker then they can react and vault the pallet again (at certain loops). People really underestimate how fast she is moving and how you can use the directional audio to your advantage.

She doesn’t move as fast as killers like Blight or Billy or Oni but she’s still super fast and invisible which causes survivors a lot of times to hesitate against her and sometimes slow vault a pallet.

Of course she isn’t as cheesy as she once was but she’s still an extremely strong killer and I would personally still place her in the top 3.

  • 1.) Nurse

    2.) Blight

    3.) Spirit

    4.) Artist

    5.) Plague

However I wouldn’t argue with someone if they put Oni, Pyramid Head, Hag, Or Huntress at #5

I also think Wesker is good but not top 5 good

Promise you, it's happened to me multiple times, including objective trophies like doing the gen in the main house or room.

So I'm thinking it must be a platform condition

    This happened recently

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/OU9TDP2KEWEB/1857c0a37d257-30b06fe20bb6c748025-5bd40dbcbd8663a4-message-428242757764987-1672823272519.jpg

It’s really weird when trophies do and don’t pop. I recently switched from PS4 to PS5 so I was re-earning all the trophies again and I was going for the “Hemophobia” one where you take no damage on Disturbed Ward and the killer DC’ed at one gen and I took no damage and did technically escape and it did not pop.

Yet when I went for the adept for Yun-Jin, the exit gates where powered and I was healing someone outside of the exit gate and the killer DC’ed and it did pop that time.

And I remember back in the day with adepts you could get four DC’s at the start of the match and you would earn the adept for killer so I’m not sure if going forward it will be like that or not.

  • The map isn’t busted and is decent map for survivors and killers. It doesn’t feel like terrible to run and chase people on and you don’t get that feel of “oh they’re at THIS structure so I have to abandon chase.”

It feels terrible to play on visually as killer. The map is too red. Scratch marks blend in with the environment and it’s hard to track people. It’s an eyesore.

  • @Hannacia said:

Pinky finger with extra bottes. Compound 33. Black Insence... MDR....but its fine it has a downside, still strong iri, but not as strong as the previous ones i said

Are you referring to MDR when you said “it’s fine because it has a downside”?

I am a Spirit main (assuming you are too because of the profile picture) and I can absolutely say that MDR is not a fine add-on because of the downside. The downside barely affects Spirit. It makes an already extremely strong killer that much more overbearing.

It’s easily the strongest or second strongest add-on in the game. Spirit has free range of movement in phase and she’s moving as fast as killers like Blight and Billy who are limited in their how rapidly they can turn, so she can go mach speeds and fly across the entire map with a free range of movement while being invisible. Slap on Amulet with MDR and you got yourself a good ol’ fashion “GGEZ” match.

And this is coming from someone who mains Spirit.

  • I’ve seen a lot of people saying that Plaything/Pentimento is a good combo but you can hard counter it by blessing the Plaything totem and not giving the killer an opportunity to even get Pentimento value :/

I barely run into hex totems but I’ve been blessing every single one I see for the achievement and no killer ever gets Pentimento value because I just bless the totem.

  • I’m not a fan of solo queue because it’s boring to play without friends in my own experience. I like doing dumb things with friends and just talking.

I usually only play with @Cornpopers_Evan in a duo so it’s really not that much different than solo queue in terms of strength. I’ve had good and bad solo queue matches but the quad gen slowdowns are super oppressive against solo queue notably Eruption.

That’s ridiculous that achievements don’t save to your account, it isn’t like you’re switching gaming platforms.

Yeah, it was pretty annoying to get all the adepts again especially for killers I’m not decent with. The only one I have left is Knight. Most of the miscellaneous trophies weren’t bad but some of them I got just because of the fact that the killer or survivor farmed with me, like the Left for Dead trophy.

People who swap to new gen consoles do not have trophies transferred, the only ones that popped when opening the game for the first time was the ones for prestige levels. All of your progress and cosmetics switch over but not trophies so that was a bummer. I do think all games should be like the RE 2 and 3 remake and carry over trophy progression from last gen to new gen because it is a hassle to earn a lot of them all over again especially the Myers and Huntress ones :/

  • I recently swapped from PS4 to PS5 and I’ve been re earning all the trophies and I’m nearly done. The Evil Incarnate one is awful to do because of the easy counter to it. I don’t blame survivors for it though. It’s the only counter, either hop in a locker or get tombstoned.

The bad thing is that it was one of the first ones I would’ve earned on PS5 because I tombstoned all four survivors but it didn’t count because of the bug with the sacrifice emblem so I was not happy about that.

But it’s whatever. I earned it on the PS4 and I’m pretty content with that. I’m basically just banking on them reworking Myers and tombstone and making it base-kit with some tweaks to work like Sadako and Pyramid Head and them changing the achievement. Probably won’t happen though :/

I haven't invested much time into learning them

But they're not killers that suffer on controller.

If you haven't invested much time into them, then how did you come to the conclusion that they're not harder on controller?

I can’t play them well but I’ve still played both Nurse and Blight enough to do decent in a match with them. I have still played both of them but not enough time invested to call myself a pro or a master at either one of them because I’m not a fan of either one of their playstyles.

Nurse requires muscle memory to be really good with her. You have to be good with blinks. There no rapid or rigorous movements of joysticks that would make her any harder to learn on a controller vs a K&M.

Blight is a little different and might be a bit tricker because of the turning but the turning is at a set rate, you won’t be able to turn any faster or any better on a K&M vs a controller. There is really no “techs” with him that you can’t do on a controller.

Both are arguably probably better and a bit easier to learn on a K&M but with practice, they’re just as good and don’t suffer to the extent that an aiming or range killer would. Both do just fine on a controller.

  • If you play on next gen console it’s much more enjoyable because the game is optimized far better.

Nurse and Blight are really not much more difficult. I can’t play them well because I haven’t invested much time into learning them but they’re not killers that suffer on controller. Huntress is a bit harder but people overstate how hard she is on a controller.

Trickster is truly the only hard one. The rapid fire throwing of knives and constantly having to adjust to the center of your screen (as best you can because the knives do not throw directly in the center, they are random) is a pain with joysticks. The recoil is what kills any enjoyment of him on a controller. I’ve tried and tried and tried but it’s not worth the effort :/

    1. Billy- Simply because I’m bad, he’s punished hard for bumping into things even with add-ons, and he just doesn’t feel good to play.
    2. Hag- Has to spend time setting up traps and she’s 110% so she can’t chase without traps
    3. Trapper- Same reason as Hag and that you have to spend time setting up your power, just that he’s 115%
    4. Trickster- I play on a controller and the recoil is pain. The only ranged killer I just cannot play.
    5. Knight- He’s so boring. Just not the killer for me.
  • Has to be either Oni or Huntress.

In no way shape or form do I believe any version Blight is “balanced” because anyone who is good with that killer is just going to mop the floor with most survivors but that’s just my own opinion 🤷🏼‍♂️

It also depends on what your definition of balanced means.

  • I thought something was off when I 4K’ed and three hooked everyone and still only got a gold devout emblem. I was going for the Oni adept at iridescent rank and I feel like I should’ve had it but it gave me a gold devout despite three hooking everyone and getting a late sacrifice :/

  • @kensaimage said:

Pretty sure nobody can get Grand Sacrifice, either. Anything requiring 4 kills/hooks in one game doesn’t work right now. Blood on your Face still does, but only cuz that has a beneficial bug that simply counts 4 Moris. It says it’s gotta be the same game, but it doesn’t apparently

For the Grand Sacrifice one, it popped for me but during a weird circumstance. I got a 4K my first match on the PS5 and it did not pop, then my next match I only got a 1K and after a sacrificed the one survivor and pushed everyone else out of the exit gate, it popped for me. So it is bugged but it did pop for me :/

Ok, Meat Plant isn't as strong as some people make it out to be.

Sure, there's a lot of pallets, and sure, some of them are really strong. But after they're gone, what do you use? There's nothing. Exactly one good window in the entire map. Chewing through all the pallets on the map is unrealistic... but chewing through all the pallets in a 3-gen area? That's much more doable. Killers like nemesis, billy, bubba, huntress, they hardly even need to worry about the map's pallets either. And since the map is so small, it's pretty easy to 3-gen. It's also a small indoor map with lots of walls that's very good for stealth killers, and isn't very effective for holding W. A lot of the rooms are dead ends that result in free hits/downs, the totems are very well hidden, and don't even get me started on mobility killers like nurse and blight on this map.

Last I remember we were calling 3-gen maps like azarov's and suffo pit killer sided. So surely Meat Plant is at least balanced. It's got just as much problems for survivor as it does for killer. The pallets can be obnoxious at times, but obnoxious doesn't equal "free win" like this post is saying. But that's my two cents.

The match usually doesn’t last long enough to destroy all the resources on the map. There’s far too many safe pallets for most killers to destroy before the game ends

  • Myers needs some improvements and TLC. I like that Tombstone is canonically accurate but it’s such a cheesy add-on that desperately needs changing. It’s so 2016 DBD and not balanced for the game in 2022.

Give him the Pyramid Head treatment with a built-in mori after fulfilling some requirements. Just make it base kit after two hooks after doing something specific (like you have to be tormented with PH or fully condemned with Sadako).

If you’re defending current Tombstone because Myers is a weak killer then I don’t know what to tell you. Nobody likes to get moried at four gens because of a cheesy add-on.

Rework Myers and give him a built-in mori like PH. Done.

The stats say otherwise, nurse has the lowest win and kill rate of all killers.

Which means she is actually needing a buff.

Please tell me this a meme and you aren’t serious

    "Disregards alll defences"

Say that to the "comp" survivors who know how to beat her.

“Comp” survivors make up less than 1% of the playerbase. You can’t use the “comp” excuse as a way of making Nurse seem balanced in public matches when almost every player is casual.

And yes she does disregard all defenses even in comp matches, they just plow through gens while the killer camps. That’s a comp match. We are talking strictly public matches, ya know which is where the game should be balanced around.

There are much more extremely casual MegHeads than there are sweaty comp teams

  • @SuzuKR said:

Why? She’s in a spot of perfect balance with the exceptions of her distance increasing add-ons/three blink add-on. No reason to kill perk diversity on her. Even with Exposed perks, you just have to mindgame to avoid the hits.

Okay, I’ll bite. How is Nurse in the “spot of perfect balance”? She’s the best killer in the game who completely disregards all defenses and has extremely limited counterplay other than breaking LOS and guessing.

Especially now because she’s bugged not just with the range add-one but also due to the fact that she attacks and swings before you’re even physically able to see her.

Yeah, I’m sorry but her power is absolutely not balanced and never will be but we’ve al just accepted that because, well…it’s Nurse.

  • Wraith and Trapper 🙃

  • Wraith and Spirit are very good at gaining pips.

  • I felt bad for a Twitch streamer when I looked back on her VOD because I was playing Clown and she had a fear of Clowns. Felt terrible afterward.

I can understand where people are coming from with phobias and disliking facing killers for that reason but others would easily abuse it to ban killers they don’t like. It will never happen :/
