  • Like a lot of people say it just cheapens the whole outfit for Cheryl like she wasn't good enough to have the outfit on her own so Feng has to get one to make up for the sales of the former. Instead of giving a cheap magical girl cosplay to Feng they should've just given a cheap magical girl cosplay to Pyramid Head.

  • I'll take on Oni in a fight, I reckon I got this thanks to a few tricks up my sleeve. Pic very related.

I was looking at the Cheryl and Feng outfits closely, and I noticed that the shoulder things are actually completely different. I think Feng's are actually unattached shoulder pieces while Cheryl's are attached to the outfit. Sounds like there's some noticeable differences between the two.

Yeah, I only did notice that just now so they're kinda getting a bit better at it. Feng's Jill one was pretty since it's just the same one 1:1 as Jill's. Still I don't see why they can't do more like Felix's RE5 chris outfit, there's a lot of lesser characters out there in Silent Hill or Resident Evil that other survivors could cosplay as so it's just really weird when they do the same outfits but for other characters. It's like double dipping.

  • The only thing that really annoys me about the Feng cosplay outfits is that to my whack ass brain BHVR has no faith in the original outfits selling so they just give a copy to Feng because they always know that'll sell. The more cynical part of me thinks whenever a licensed character gets a fan requested outfit they're just gonna always gonna give Feng a copy of it.

Edit: I also just want to express my general annoyance about how the Feng Cosplay sets are just 80% carbon copies of the original sets just with cleaner textures on them, it would be nice if they gave her original cosplay sets that weren't just the same as the original.

  • I really enjoy using it on Trickster whenever I play him, people like to crowd around and take knives for their mates so that's when you go apeshit on everyone really punish them for taking protection hits.

  • People actually used the flashlight clicky clicky to communicate with other survivors? I just assumed that anyone that did that to me as survivor was just annoyed at me so I'd promptly walk away and ignore them.

  • While I can't say that I was someone who regularly slugged but removing the ability to slug for pressure in a pinch is bit of a strange move. I get why people hate being slugged and I'm not a fan of any spiteful sluggings myself but it does make me worry a little. Changes like the basekit unbreakable give way more independence to survivors now and while it's yet to seen the idea of needing another person to pick their teammate up effectively wipes out a lot of pressure for the killer. While my worries could be unfounded I think what worries me the most is that if changes continue to head into this direction survivor will eventually be less and less about teamwork and just fall into the binary of being chased/repairing generators since everything else can just be done yourself now. And if it comes down to that then we'll face an inevitable arms race of gen repairing vs gen slowdown.

  • I'm more sad that they completely killed Rancor over these changes, it's lost all of it's identity. What the hell man.

  • As nice as the basekit BT is and it's buff I can't help but to hate the fact that everyone just wants more perks to be basekit for their respective roles because it'll only just turn into an arms race between survivors and killers to see who gets their favourite meta perk to be basekit and then having the actual perks themselves buffed into absurdity. It's a path I'd rather not go down.

  • Wiretap is a pretty cheap perk to activate, it's only 33% of generator progress and 80 seconds of aura reading around it. While 14(?) doesn't sound like a lot it's nothing to scoff at either. But having it work with Open Handed would be extremely silly on maps like Midwich where only two of them would be needed to cover more than half of the map.

  • An autofill would be fantastic honestly, I hate having to sit through 2 million bp's worth of levelling up every month it gets extremely tedious and it's only going to get worse now that everything's cheap so you'll be sitting through even more bloodwebs.

  • Nemesis is an interesting one because the wiki lists hoarder as a perk that will alert zombies just like discordance does although I really wish there was a good way to test it.

  • Huh, if that is the case that is pretty weird. Don't know why it shouldn't work when you're running but that's some weird spaghetti code there. I think it's also worth mentioning that if reactive healing goes off while you're healing yourself it gets counted as a group heal for some reason too.

  • I will give every James Sunderland the hatch and that's that.

  • I wouldn't, in my own experiences at least. I used Blast Mine a lot before the chapter and the opportunities where it'd actually go off were very low. A killer would maybe set off a blast mine during the match but most of the time they either ignored the generator, it ran out before I could reapply it or I just simply didn't have the chance to use it. So in the end I just used it mostly as an information perk but now wiretap does that job even better. Blast Mine still has it's uses and it still stuns and blinds the same, you just have to commit more to it now instead of just passively applying it throughout the match. It's like DS, just a safety measure kinda thing. Sometimes you got to use it, other times you didn't.

  • They changed it to be more in line with wiretap and how it functions. I really wouldn't call it a nerf when it still does the same as it used to, you just have to apply it when you know the killer is coming and hope they'll kick it instead of just reapplying it over and over.

  • If we're making stuff basekit for killer it might as well be bbq. It's not a bad perk but it's pretty redundant on most killers these days since you don't get the bp boost on it anymore so you might as well just give it out to everyone for free.

  • He's pretty damn good but boy does his hitbox and hit registration feel awful. Aside from clipping past survivors I've had issues where I run into them, the game registers the hit and infects them but immediately lets them go without damaging them for no reason. Heck I've had some matches where I'll toss them into the wall, they hit the wall and take no damage. Once these issues get fixed I'd say he's a pretty solid pick.

  • I mean new DH is still pretty good against killers where you can anticipate their attacks and take the speed boost and if that don't suit you fancy there's plenty of other great exhaustion perks out there like Lithe, sprint burst or hell even overcome. Just use those.

  • Gimme them Nemmy-Nems. Probably a really nice blueberry flavour and comes with it's own collectable zombie figurine in every box.

  • To be fair the functionality of it didn't change so that I'm fine with, you just have to use it more reactively. Most people ended up using it for letting survivors know which generator you're on which wiretap can do now but much cheaper.

  • I'm a little more worried what the entity did to his brain because my guy ain't acting too great right now.

  • To be fair I don't notice that much of a difference between blast mine then and now. Most games I'd never get the chance to use it because either the killer wouldn't kick my gen or I was too busy getting chased and doing other things to actually find time for it. I get the nerf was kinda annoying but changes very little for me personally since it was just one of those that you might get use out of once in a match.

  • I think his model looks fine for the most part although they could fix up his hands. They're really big and goofy looking.

  • As somebody who's played ranked Dota for the better part of their life, voice comms isn't worth it. I'd rather suffer at the hands of a thousand basement bubbas than listen to some of the insanity that people spew. dbd has a pretty bad community, I honestly wouldn't want to embolden these people.

  • I don't know why people had the idea that Reassurance was going to totally stop camping. Even with a suicide option coded in bubbas are still gonna camp on the hook and there would be nothing anyone could do about it. People would just end up killing themselves on the hook or waiting out 10+ minutes against a bubba who very most likely wants you to be on that hook for as long as possible. It still adds an extra 90 seconds which is a hell of a lot and still has it's uses like as insurance when you can rescue the hooked survivor and need to run away from the killer, but everyone's acting like Reassurance would drop an airstrike on top of a bubba or something. The killers that can effectively camp can still do it, that won't ever change.

  • We just need more good, strong perks that reward hooking different survivors like Grim Embrace and No way out. Well I wouldn't say Grim Embrace is super strong but you still get the point, give me more perks that do that sorta thing.

  • You can still get like what, 90 seconds out of it? That's still pretty huge since that's enough time for one whole generator right there. I'm pretty fine with the change because in it's old state people would have to suffer at the potential of being in the basement with bubba for 10 minutes without any interaction whatsoever.

  • Where are all these nurses coming from? At least half of my matches are on survivor and I don't see Nurses that much? I play this game every day and I might come across nurses 2 or 3 times a week and they aren't even that good most of the time. Going on the forums here you'd think there's a nurse lurking behind every goddamn bush or something. I see more ghostface players than nurse ones.

  • I actually like the interaction hyperfocus has with stakeout, it'll make for a fun build but I agree they shouldn't make it work with toolboxes.

  • You need to change the time required for safe unhooks if you wanna change base by. The reason why it's 5 seconds is because for it to be a safe unhook they gotta not go down for 6 seconds so there's *some* risk involved, you don't wanna just give people free safe unhooks. If you want the base bt to be 10 seconds then you'll have to bump up the time required for a safe unhook to 12-15 seconds.

That and the point of baseline bt is to prevent immediate farming off the hook, it's not meant to supplement bt. You're supposed to be using the perk if you want to ensure safe unhooks.

  • A better tutorial will go a long way in helping newer players and teach them the importance of things like time management, situational awareness and objective importance. I'm not particularly fond of making perks basekit because sure, you could give everyone a free kindred but why not give them a free bond, alert, etc? A big aspect about survivor that a lot of people don't get is information. Information is vital to survivor gameplay and just handing free information perks to people kinda cheapens the experience a little. The action icons could be a good compromise but they'd have to be simple because I don't need to know about EVERYTHING that everyone is doing.

Soloq is kind of a hard thing to balance around but teaching new players good fundamentals will go a long way in helping the experience.

  • Honestly I'd rather that they wouldn't rework him. He's a very old killer but he's an interesting one because it makes for a neat little time capsule and as annoying as tombstone add-ons are I honestly don't see them all that often when I do go against him. Plus they're an oddly fitting thing for him his whole deal is that Myer does what he wants. Reworking Myers while making him better is going to end up killing any unique aspect about him and I don't want that.

  • As someone who played a lot of the old Freddy we don't need it back. Having 7 seconds just to be able to have the luxury of interacting with survivors was not fun and having a 50% action speed penalty with the only way to wake up was through failed checks wasn't fun either. All current Freddy needs is a minor add-on rework so there's a little variety with what to use would be nice. It'd also help if they made the dream world a little more threatening too, maybe do a dredge style thing but instead of complete darkness the dream world is incredibly foggy and obscures distant vision by a lot. Freddy doesn't need much but a few things here and there would be nice.

However if you're hellbent on getting the old Freddy back you can rework his old dream demon into add-ons, you can manually pull survivors into the dream world at the cost of no passive sleeping and it replaces your dream projection. That way he's a little more unique that you can mix and match his powers through add-ons.

  • I think it'll generally deter camping for most killers however I don't think it'll do much for something like a basement camping bubba. For people like that if they wanna camp they're gonna camp and reassurance will do very little to stop them, I just hope it doesn't create situations where people are just stuck for 6+ minutes on a hook down in the basement and I don't want games that could potentially drag on forever because of hook swapping + constant reassurance from basement bubbas. Hopefully I'm wrong but don't underestimate just how patient and petty some people are.

  • I like the zombies, they're a cool little thing that gives survivors to watch out for and interact with. They just need to fix their AI so they aren't getting stuck on things all the time. That's all they need.

  • The 5 seconds make sense, it isn't good but it makes sense. A safe unhook is 6 seconds so making a baseline BT any longer than that is just basically a free safe unhook and there should be some risk involved.

  • Might be fun to use in a full on end game build. It's the perfect perk to mix in without using NOED because I feel bad using it.

  • Whenever I go against nemesis or pinhead I will make it a point to escape the trial with the box and a vaccine and when Wesker comes out I'll escape with the sprays too. I just like stealing the killers stuff.

  • I think it's just fine. Is the bonus 2 seconds on aura reading really good? Sure is but at the end of the day you need to run perks that combo with it to get more use outta it which means less space for regression perks. It's just a good all round perk now.

  • I'd really like an autofill option for the bloodweb, just have it prioritise certain things like tier 3 perks and iris. I kinda hate rank reset every month because manually going through 2 million blood points is such an annoying slog.

  • Old BT was pretty good and now it's even better. 15 seconds of endurance and haste? That's some good stuff, you can take it even farther with guardian and NOLB so now your teammates are 14% faster after unhook and 21% faster at the end game. Run perks like these and I guarantee you your teammates will be lining up to give you kisses and hugs in the end game chat.

  • Zombies have a smaller collision box when they attack you to allow you to slip past tight spots. Unless you're wedging yourself into a tiny corner there's no reason for you to get body blocked by one.

  • People were doomposting about overcharge/call of brine so they much they forgot that buffed thana/gift of pain exists now. a 16% action speed penalty on top of your teammates being injured is pretty brutal stuff so we're kinda back to the old days of forever freddy again so enjoy it while it lasts fellas.

play clown and see how bad and inefficient his snare is

To be fair Clown has some pretty bloody great addons to help him out, aside from the obvious like the pinky finger flash of bleach makes his slow stronger and cigar box is still pretty hilarious when survivors don't realize you're running it since you can effectively weed out people hiding nearby you. Also Clown's bottle are way easier to use, don't slow you down and cover a huge area if thrown up high. Freddy's snares tend to have this really annoying thing where they'll snap onto terrain and if you're around on some loops it'll snap onto spots that you don't want them to be and you're stuck fumbling around for a few seconds to get it right which is really, really annoying.

  • The original reason why the cage relocation mechanic was implemented was because on release Pyramid Head could literally block the front end of the cage and prevent anyone from being able to rescue that person. Since cages are made different you can only rescue people from the front and not the sides like regular hooks. The relocation mechanic was NOT made to stop camping.

  • I think you're just overthinking it, BT still exists and it'll give you 15 whole seconds of protection. I think that's enough time for you and your teammates to formulate some kinda plan to protect your buddies. The point of DS and new OTR is that they're supposed to help discourage tunnelling, not give you a graunteed escape at the end game. If they do change OTR to deactivate in the late game I honestly don't think it'll be a problem since end game rescue builds are basically a really good thing now if you wish to run it.

  • When you soloQ as survivor you're up against the killer and three other survivors, they are all your enemies. I don't want to communicate with my enemies.

  • Generally I liked what they did with the chapter, RPD was great, liked Jill, Leon and Nemesis all round. I think it just really sucks that after a year later only Nemesis got one new skin and that's the blight one. I wish everyone could've gotten some more skins because Cheryl has three legendaries, three normal outfits, a bunch of shirts while Pyramid Head who's got three skins himself. And this is coming from Konami, a company who hates doing anything with Silent Hill. Really sucks that Capcom didn't sign off on more skins but hey I guess we'll see how the next chapter is.

  • I wouldn't say the new sole survivor is totally useless, it's got its niche but I guess it all depends on what you pair it with. Maybe you can put it with Arenaline and Poised for some sneaky late game shenanigans when you're the only one left and if you really wanna go all in, bring wake up too for that 75% gate opening speed for even bigger memes.
