Aren't the great skillchecks kind of a bad idea for the wiggle? I can totally see people setting up macros to get perfectly timed great skillchecks every single time.
-
I seriously hope they'll have more changes lined up for his addons too because there's just so many that only need a little extra something to make them so much better. Like Jill's sandwich, just add on a loud noise notification when people begin to open the vaccine chests. Or make Licker's Tongue last for at least half a second. And for the vines, I dunno, just give them an extra 4 seconds on top of the chest opening or something I guess. Like I want to be clear, I don't like having to rely on Marvin's blood so much but there has to be some kinda compromise here like giving Nemesis just a little extra infection basekit or giving you half the infection points whenever zombies infect/attack someone. Just something like that would make him nicer to play.
-
Honestly the thing I want know most about the new boil over is what exactly constitutes as a large height for killer? It's somewhat easy to tell for survivor since a large height is anything that makes them stagger but killers don't do that when falling so I can only hope to god it's something the same along those lines and not something supper silly like falling off the slightest terrain elevation. The second thing I wanna know is that will there be a cooldown for the 25% wiggle bonus? Because if it doesn't it's gonna get pretty stupid on certain maps like the stairwells on the Crow map. If you accidently fall down both levels then that's an instant 50% progress right there.
-
I'm honestly surprised neither Pyramid Head or Legion were touched on with the addon since they both seriously needed them the most like were people really clammering for clown addon changes that much....? Still that being said as a Nemesis chad myself what the hell was going on there? Now you can't get tier II with marvin's blood on the second anymore which kinda blows, I wish they would've changed his more useless addons like the vines.
-
Honestly franklin's doesn't even bother me. When my items run out of charge I just drop them on the ground because I got so many now.
-
You can play around hoarder, when you pick up the box simply hide for a bit and wait out pinhead searching for you and once he gives up you move to a safe spot on the map to complete the box. Franklin's is mostly just a meme for the most part so you won't see it ran that much on pinhead. You can't really program exceptions for the box either in terms of hoarder's functionality, the box is an item so the only way to remove the synergy is to remove the item pickup notification from hoarder altogether and that's really not a good idea.
-
Considering how dream pallets are a thing and can replace dream snares it'd be pretty cool if they gave Freddy addons that replaced his dream projection with the old one with each addon increasing it's effective range. That way if you want you can give up generator teleports for the ability to manually put people to sleep at the cost of maybe longer micro-sleep or something.

Dead Hard's huge problem is it's server validation. By itself there's nothing wrong with but most of the game isn't server side and that's where things become a problem. When you have this singular thing like DH being server side when the other 80% isn't you're gonna end up with problems like false screams and killer powers being eaten completely by it. I've already said this before but there's only two ways you can go about fixing Dead Hard. You either move the WHOLE game server side which fixes the validation for good but that's extremely costly and time consumiing so the only other option is to just rework the perk completely. If things stay like they are then Dead Hard will continue to have unintended side effects to it that'll bug out the game. My guess is that BHVR are probably just going to sit on Dead Hard until hit validation causes such a huge problem that they'll have no choice but to take action.
-
I wouldn't even mind validation that much if it was just limited to basic attacks but because of how it can nullify killer powers altogether is a huge problem, particularly Nemesis and the Twins. Unfortunately the only way to resolve that issue is if the whole game switches over to server side and that'd require a hell of a lot more money being spent on servers which I really don't think BHVR is willing to spend. As long as Dead Hard remains how it currently is it's going to cause a lot of problems, nothing short of a complete rework is going to fix things.
-
I don't really get the complaints around lightborn either. It's a perk that you see very rarely and something that's mostly ran as a meme. People will say you're just ruining their fun when you're running lightborn but they can still use the bloody things and do their clicky clicky thing to be annoying little gremlins. That being said the perk itself does have some actual niche uses like preventing locker grab blinds (although I think that's something that should just be removed from the game entirely anyway) but the problem with that is you really have no way of knowing if people are going to be trying that against you anyway. Still I wish lightborn would work with killer powers like preventing lightburn for wraith, protects hags traps, stops artist's crows from being destroyed and gives Nemesis's zombies blind immunity. It'd never happen but it'd be hilarious if it did.
-
Can you block the stairway into the basement in the main building of the crow map? If you can then I'd say it's too powerful. But if survivors can still slip by then I think it's fair. The basement is strong but it's offset by the fact that the main building is pretty powerful for survivors too so it's fair in a way.
-
As far as I'm concerned most of these "anti-looping killers" have clear strengths and weaknesses to their powers and have their own way of being countered or strategy involved to get good use out of. So really I don't think there's much problem there and I like more traditional killers like Pig but we gotta be honest with ourselves here, when you're playing pig you're gonna be spending at least 70% of the match just eating pallets anyway which isn't terribly exciting if you ask me. Making pallets something that but survivors and killers can contest over is much better than just running around something twice before dropping on it or praying to god the survivor isn't smart enough to notice your doubleback.

I think Nemesis needs access to a once per trial, single-shot Rocket Launcher. Maybe then I'll tolerate the zombies' inconsistencies.
The discovery that Discordance alerts Zombies was very much welcome, but that's just a band-aid solution.
Discordance I'd say is almost mandatory on Nemesis, it helps herd zombies towards generators of interest while giving you important information (even if it doesn't trigger meaning everyone's spread out). Although I've taken that a little bit further by throwing Pain Resonance into the mix too. Having the generators explode and make survivors scream should give the zombies even more incentive to go towards important generators but unfortunately it's kinda hard to quantify how well it works. It's one of those things that make you wonder if it's just your imagination or not but hey the perk itself is pretty great with ruin so it gives him a little bit of extra pressure during the game.
-
I like the idea behind her but I feel like it's just way too easy to counter her powers. You can scan for survivors at a distance but most attentive survivors will just walk 2 meters away from the generator to let the crows pass before resuming work and even if they do get swarmed they'll just jump into the nearest closet immediately dispelling the crows. So with long range attacks mostly no feasible you're only left with the stuff at the loops....except most of the time when you try to set up crows they'll just leave the loop and go to the next one. Sometimes they'll just leave it and it results in a free hit but you're basically spending 60% of your match doing this against competent survivors.
-
I think what we gotta remember is that the "Just don't play sweaty" advice doesn't help out much when MMR pushes you up whenever you get a kill. The only way to avoid getting into the sweat ranks altogether is if you play for 8 hooks and never kill anyone which is fine if you want to do that but you're a killer and you're supposed to be killing people as the main objective. At some point BHVR are gonna have to go do a sweep through all the killer and survivor perks and start buffing a lot of the lesser used ones to more viablity. At least that way you aren't pigeonholded to be running slowdown perks all the bloody time.
-
I wish I could get a full 5 stack of Pentimento, even going with a full hex build running thrill of the hunt I still get people who are insane enough to actually boon the hex totems. I don't understand.
-
Ironically the killer version of dead hard was the old Pop. A solid, good reliable perk that got 15 seconds shaven off it for some dumb reason.
-
I don't hate the idea behind the perk but a good user of dead hard can make REALLY good use of it. Especially in regards to mistakes, there's times where you'll get a good read on the survivor and outplay them on a loop but before you can even capitalize on that they just dead hard back over to the pallet or something and erase your good play. It's very annoying and made all the more annoying now that basically everyone uses it these days. Not to mention the weird oddities like dead hard eating Nemesis's tentacle attacks preventing him from breaking pallets. The only thing you can do about it is that hope the person using it will use it incorrectly and just waiting it out.

After about 100 games with her. She's actually really not very good. Giant maps remove her. Any map with a decent tile connector (so basically all of them) invalidate her power.
Being able to sprint while removing crows is unacceptable. Her nerf from PTB to live ruined her actual anti loop.
I don't even mind that you can remove crows while sprinting because it prevents from you doing other actions and the moment you stop it resets the progress. It's just the time it take to remove crows just BARELY gives you enough time to fire a second one off if you've used one crow. The most annoying part is that smarter survivors will just jump into lockers to dispell the crows earlier than they should making long range attacks almost impossible.
-
The game is only going to be free for the week on the EGS right? Still considering the hacking problems we've had lately there's gonna be a week long period of seeing more of them, that's for sure. But I don't think it'll be too bad, at least that's what I'm hoping.

The funny thing is that Engineers Fang is still probably his strongest add-on even after the nerf it’s getting. The ability to easily injure at range and through obstacles and walls is pretty impressive, way better than a normal first hook, even if the follow up hooks are a little lackluster. Yeah it’ll be weaker than it is now but if you’re still playing him after the patch it’s still likely the best bet for an add-on slot.
I dunno, I don't think engineer's fang will be worth using after it's nerf to be honest. Get a first hit out of it? Sure sounds nice but the downside to it is pretty massive with one less chain to hook onto someone. We already know how easy it can be for survivors to remove chains and having one less makes it's all the more easier for them to break free from them and a lot less worthwhile trying to use his power to actually slow people down.
-
Mori's are nice and all but they just don't really have any practical use outside of maybe bypassing a decisive. With more and more perks these days actually relying on you to hook people to get their intended effects you're better off just giving them the final hook and make use of that.
-
I wouldn't say the game is unplayable with NOED. Is it annoying? Sure but I got my own strategies when playing against it. If I'm the first to get down with it? I'll sacrifice myself on the hook so nobody gets the stupid idea of coming to save me and have that snowball. If somebody elses get downed first? I'm just yeeting on out of the match because unless I know where it is straight away I'm not even going to bother sticking around lmao
-
Eh. People will feel how they feel and there's nothing much you can do to change minds no matter how condescending the posts are, there are valid things to complain about and there aren't but the reason why it feels so unbearable here it's just the nature of the game. The four against the one and that just breeds resentment no matter what, you can't do anything about it. Be nice, be fair, be mean I don't think it matters too much in the end since as the killer you are the antagonist and people will hate you regardless of what you do and to do that I just say indulge in the fact that you're bad guy every now and then. You don't need to be a total jerk but just do stuff that you know will get under the skin of people every now and then and let off the steam.
-
The engineer's fang nerf I get but that removal of the chain makes it pretty goddamn hard especially when three chains are already so inconsistant. iri Lament configuration I don't really understand why it had to be nerfed but okay. Box solving time addons I kinda get too although I think it's more of an issue of people getting harassed by chains while trying to solve the box that's annoying. Torture pillar being nerfed down the level of a brown addon makes no sense to me and nobody complained about it either. So yeah, they're definitely nerfing his cube and keeping it's power more in the ball park of the survivors which is kinda lame. On the bright side with these changes you can run engineer's fang and bent nail and only spawn ONE chain for the entire games, great build to run if you just hate yourself I guess.
-
I like him, super interesting kit with cool synergies on various perks like franklin's/hoarder/lethal, etc etc but he takes a lot of effort for not that much reward and it doesn't help all his good addons are getting nerfed. Also this might just be a "me" thing but I find it a bit painful to play him sometimes as using posessed chains will make me instinctively flinch whenever I smack into a wall or survivor. It's really annoying and I think it just mostly has to do with how close the camera is to the chain and the low FOV killers normally get.
-
I don't know why they didn't just use the pip system as a baseline for MMR.
1 pip gets you 15 MMR, 2 pips get you 30 MMR, -1 pips loses 15 MMR and 0 pips is 0 MMR.
At least that way MMR is somewhat based on the personal skill of each player and not just totally random conditions like escaping and getting 1k's.
-
As someone who used to play a lot of pre reworked freddy he was a lot of fun, especially with red paintbrush and how you could have 0 TR in the dream world but I don't despise him for his rework, both are pretty fine renditions of him but they just need to do more with the addons. I think a good compromise is to scrap the sound based addons altogether. They're garbage and instead give him new addons that replace his gen teleport with the old dream demon power with varying ranges 8/16/24 meters. That way you're trading out the gen teleport for the ability to manually put survivors under sleep with maybe an extra downside of a slower passive sleep?
-
Outside of his box Pinhead is kinda mediocre. I like the idea behind him but his "anti-loop" ability is pretty meh at most. It's incredibly hard to hit around tight corners and with how easily breakable the chains are there's a huge amount of rng in whether or not you'll actually be able to take advantage of it. I really think they should make the hitbox on his possessed chain larger and a little more forgiving.
-
I'm definitely excited for it although I'm probably going to be cruel with it and run pop/eruption on freddy alongside it.
-
Somewhat annoying at the least, somewhat crippling at most. All I know is that it's going to make playing Nemesis all the more painful since you already give them free speed boosts on the first hit.
-
He just needs better addons really. Aside from Paintbrush and cooldown reduction everything else ranges from garbage to situational at best. At least give him some more things he can do in the dream world like dream chests or dream totems or something that can affect everyone in the dreamworld in a meaningful way because the only reason why the dreamworld even exists right now is so they can run over your snares.
-
Didn't they remove a chain from Engineers fang? That's pretty detrimental considering how easy it can be to break chains and having one less makes it all the more easier to break them and a lot harder to keep them locked down the second time. I get the box solving time addons nerfs but the iri lament nerf was kinda dumb.
-
At this point I feel like the Twins are in dire need of a complete rework, the slugging aspect has to go but it's replacement should be powerful in it's own right. I don't have the greatest of ideas but instead of Victor being able to down people he works like how the Jocket from Left 4 Dead 2 does. Whenever Victor is on somebody's back he'll attempt to wressle control away from the survivor by forcing them to wiggle around like how a survivor struggles when being carried by the killer. The longer he stays on the more severe the wiggling will be and at a certain point if Victor crashes survivors into walls they get hindered for a second or two. But they need something to make them more like a hunter and scouter sorta deal I guess.
-
Honestly all he needs is a nerf on engineer's fang and a buff to chatterers tooth and I think he's in a good spot really. To those saying Pinhead isn't solo queue friendly, eh. It's really not that bad, basement bubba is far more detrimental to solo queue than pinhead ever could be.
-
The only two major issues that RPD has are it's lighting and boon totems. Lighting because the map is stupidly dark on medium graphics settings or below and I'm not sure why that's the case, it really needs to be fix because it's pretty easy for people to be in spots you can't even see them. The second is boon totems, not because of totem placements itself but because of the unintended nature of the map having a lot of twisting and winding corridors makes Shadowstep a genuine to pain to play against on that map. But other than that great map, I always like getting it.
-
I feel like a lot of people use built to last incorrectly. You're not supposed to use it all up on a single generator, you spread it out. Use your green toolbox on one gen, once that's done you hop into a closet and you basically got an almost full green toolbox ready to go on the next generator. If you spread the charges out that you can save a hell of a lot of time.
-
Honestly all he needs is an addon pass. All he has are two good addons (Yellow and green range addons) some okay-ish ones (trail duration) and some straight up garbage ones (hemorrhage on torment as a PURPLE addon, what the hell?) and highly situational iri addons. As he stands Pyramid Head has a solid kit with some god awful addons, I'd love to see some that really change up his playstyle and put in some more interesting effects.
-
Nah I'd argue that Nemesis is a pretty solid B tier. His tentacle hitbox is pretty deceptive and once you learn how it works you can do really tricky shots with it, tier II makes him the best pallet eater in the game, tier III gives him free zoning capabilities. His only real downside is the speed boost on contamination and the zombie AI. The zombies really need fixing but you can live with the free speed boost once you get really good at landing tentacle whips.
-
Deathslinger ain't dead but they sure did suck the fun outta him like they did with the Twins, although not that bad. His worst issue right now is that he's a 110% 32m killer which makes M&A all the more important on him because god forbid you go without it and smart survivors will just bolt as soon as they hear you wasting an obscene amount of your time just trying to catch up. Deathslinger just doesn't have much going for him right now compared to other ranged killers, hell even old Trickster has got more going for him since he can pressure the hell outta hook rescues.
-
The problem with the twins is that they're the most punishing killer to play as in the game. Can they win the game through slugging everyone? Absolutely but getting there is the hardest part because a single mistake or a misjudge in the situation can cause you to lose ALL of your momentum in the match. You either play them perfectly or you're liable to lose the match, there's extremely little wiggle room for recovery which is why you don't see a lot of people playing them.
-
Shhh. Don't go saying anything about his tier III because you're gonna get the "Deathslinger/demogorgon has free zoning" crowd to come here and scream for nerfs. That being said for all the strengths he has they're all pretty balanced out by the fact that contamination is a free speed boost.
-
Sloppy seems to be pretty servicable against the healing boon since you can only heal yourself at normal speed (without medkits). So as long as I keep smacking them with the sloppy and they keep running back to the totem to heal themselves then they're just wasting their own time.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if this is an issue because of how fat the killer hitboxes are, makes it harder for them to squeeze into these tight nooks to snuff the totems out because they were just never designed for that.
-
That's a fair point to bring up, making the initial infection itself be able to interrupt would be nice, although I do kinda wish the infection itself would do something other than just being the prerequisite to getting hit again. Like zombies will shamble faster towards infection survivors or target them.
-
The only thing he's really got going for him these days is the generator teleport, his snares are servicable, the pallets are a meme and the dreamworld is really just more of an aesthetic than anything else. His addons are just really, really bad now and all the good ones can be counted on a single hand which is pretty awful. I'm not asking for anything OP but maybe a few good transformative addons to shake up the gameplay would be nice? But instead all we got are addons that make you louder (in the dreamworld) and one that blocks the gates for 10 seconds (if you're in the dreamworld)
So really, all I got to say on his addons are ??????
-
The box will spawn with certain conditions. It'll spawn at the farthest tile from both the survivors and the killer so if you're running lethal pursuer then you can make a pretty reasonable deduction where the box will be at the start of the match and pick it up first and get a free chain hunt. It's only really a problem on maps like swamp where sometimes it'll spawn in the grass making it extremely hard to find even if you know where it's supposed to spawn.
-
Please. PLEASE rework Pyramid Head's addons into something better. He needs an addon pass so goddamn bad. Look at this thing. You look at it and tell me this is acceptable in any way, shape or form.
-
I'm glad it's back because I got to try out Pinhead on it and he's surprisingly not bad on it? If you run impaling wire on the map he becomes pretty goddamn silly because chains will constantly assault survivors due to all the tight corners on the map. Although I wish they'd put a hook in the library, I'm noticing more and more people are running up to the top corner of the library because you can't hook them since everything else is so far away from that point, it's getting pretty scummy.
-
The hoarder/franklin's interaction should be kept because it's a nice, fun interaction with the killer's power. Is it annoying? At times it can be but is it busted? Not at all. I'd rather they keep this because we need killers that can run other stuff than just 4 gen slowdown perks. I mean, isn't that what we all want at the end of the day, a bit more perk variety in killers? So let's just keep this interaction, even if you find it annoying. They fixed Franklin's with Nemmy's vaccines so it won't be destroying items anymore which is fine now.
