The game should not be balanced around you and your tiny miniscule portion of the player base that take the game so seriously that you play like it's a literal military operation.

Lol im fine with it i hope we get 30sec bt base kit. But it just seems a bit unreal atm how unbeatable survivors get. But if thats the way bhvr what the game to be i take very happy.

  • Bro i play main survivors since 2016. I play only swf and since the patch me and the boys got 100win streaks and stuff. Idk what you are talking about but survivors was and is always op if you play with good mates who know the game. For example the 5sec buff to basekit bt was soooo unnecessary and op now you can escape 100% if you get unhooked in endgame. Killers just cant Camp at least 1 kill in the end game which was already hard to do before this buff.

  • Same for me out of 10 matches i have at least 3 cheater just Pop 5 gen at the start or spaming me with loud Noises and all that #########. Idk why i find them so often my Friends dont have this problem. Maybe its have something to do with sbmm.

DCs already do get an increasing penalty.

It's hard to penalize people dying on hook, because what if they never get rescued? Or they let themselves die as the 2nd to last survivor so the last survivor can get an attempt at hatch? Plus sometimes you need to attempt to unhook yourself, because the other survivors are unable to get to (being slugged, hooked, or chased). There's too many situations you couldn't program to ignore the dc penalty that it would just end up penalizing people for dying on hook or people who want to rage quit will figure out how to avoid the penalty.

They should just change the hooks overall. So thats just not possible to kill you self . I mean it cant be how it is atm at least 3 out of 10 matches are time waste because of some survivor who get mad after first hook.

Decisive Strike was a healthy perk for the game, the only issue with it was the end game scenarios, deactivating in end game is perfect. but please revert the stun duration to 5 seconds, no one was complaining about it, 3 seconds is so short to make it anywhere not to mention some killers have range attacks. off the record was never the solution against tunneling. most killers know how to make OTR useless by hitting survivors off hook and catch up to them in less than 3 seconds because 99% of killers are running STBFL

I was complaining about it. Its just another trade perk which will be abused to safe survivors who are dead on hook.

Do you not think this sounds suspiciously like a cheater and not a, survivors are too powerful, situation.

then most matches i play are against cheater

The issue is, even if a good SWF can get a gen done in 43 seconds, they need to think of solo queue survivors too. Any nerf they do to SWF would be extremely detrimental to Solo q.

This game needs to decide if they want to balance the game around solo q or swf otherwise there will allways be teams doing 300wins a row. Which just should be possible.

  • @RakimSockem said:

Jokes aside, it sounds like he went into this match for the content purposes to record how fast you could do a gen with:

A toolbox, double extra charge add ons, Hyperfoucs, 4 stacks of Stake Out to compensate for any missed Hyperfocus great skill checks, resilience for further speed boost..... you see why this is not something you'll see very often right?

No one is running this build regularly every match

There are Teams doing that but with prove you self on top of it

  • @RakimSockem said:

oh so my MMR is tied to my gen speed? didn't know

Must be a skill issue because my gen time solo is still 90... damn

No you just arent Part of one those try hard swf teams i m talking about

99% of time I play in solo queue. I can't really communicate anything to my teammates. Not to mention that Deadlock and Pain res + DMS combo makes the gen slow.

thats you problem. you will never play as good as you would like to in game with 4 teammates without talking to them. just join any dbd discords and play 4man swf otherwise this will happen over and over again.

  • if a killer is tunneling you just tell you r mates to push gens and if you keep him tunneling you for 2-3min all gens are done. If a killer really is only going for you and you can loop him just for a bit its allways a 3man escape so tunneling is not op you just need counter play it.

  • They really need to put it back up to 40. I played him on ptb and he felt good not op but just like a good killer i would say maybe a bit like pinnhead in the way how good he is. But now you can only use the power if you are right behind a Survivor otherwise they will dodge it 100%. He got nerfed so bad its just sad.

  • The only reason i have in mind why they wouldnt like to show the mmr is because they wont feed the people who are talking about bottelnecks in high mmr. Just sad.

  • I think as hard as it souds to you but the game cant be balanced around people who play the game that little. I would just be unfair for all people who spent way more time.

    @Friction said:

I play both Killer and Surv - casually. What does that mean? With a job and kids I can only play maybe 6 - 8 hours a week.

Am I good at the game? I understand the fundamentals by reading through forums like this one and watching otz but i'm not that great at the game.

Why I enjoy most about DBD? I guess there is nothing like it out there and the main reason is that this is only game my partner and I play together. I started playing the game because of her 3 years ago, but she's play longer then I have. We play the game since we enjoy a few screams and laugh we get.

Why are we not enjoying ourselves anymore? It's hard to put our finger on it, but the games feels more oppressive and less chill. I mean we never play to win, and we don't mind dying on the hook but this time it just feels like we're not allowed to have much fun as we used to.

Why am I writing this? initially I came to forum to find out why things were different, and there is a lot of focus on SWFs and/or the more dedicated fan base of this game (and more skilled). I just want to let you know from a perspective of a casual player - so people don't forget this affects us.

Should I get better? Sure, i'd love to, but honestly we play the game for fun and can't dedicate the time. We're on comms but rather doing callouts, we spend time laughing and screaming (and having fun). Feels like those moments are less now.

What's next? we'll still give this game a shot still, but I think if things go the way it is we will eventually park it and just chill doing something else together. Maye the game has almost been meant to be for the the non-casuals and never meant for us. That does make me sad though.

Again this isn't a frustrating rant - just saying my honest feelings about the game atm. cheers.

  • I really had enough of this low mmr crying about tunneling. The onyl thing you need to do is play good and loop him a few times. Everyone else should just rushing gens if the guy who get tunneled just make it for 2min 4-5 gens are done. And if he has off the record and dh 2 min shouldnt be that difficult. The killer only get 1 kill then. In high mmr tunneling is bad af because good swf teams will allways get 3 escapes.

  • @Gamedozer7 said:

I've been saying this for a while now but BHVR needs to limit the amount of slowdown perks the killer brings and then balance them accordingly. Right now most perks have to be balanced around the idea that you can bring 4 of them making them not that good which means you have to bring more in to make them effective or if there are really effective by themselves then they become oppressive when combined. So I think it's time that BHVR just limits the amount of slowdown.

Think about this would a 400% ruin be so much if you knew it was the only slowdown a killer had.

I mean there are swf groups who still gen rush good nurses even if the nurse play 4 slowdown perks in 3min. What do you think this game looks like in high mmr. Bhvr rly need to stop listening to that low mmr survivors and there problems you ruin the game because you dont know how the game works if everyone play as good as possible.

Temporary Solutions for Camping, Tunneling, and the Solo Survivor v Survive with Friends Gap

Lengthy discussions are often ignored; as such the purpose, detailed reasoning, and explanations of individual changes will be kept to a minimum for the sake of brevity. Moving on, Camping, tunneling, and the ever growing gap between solo survivor (SS) and survive with friends (SWF) game-play are notable sources of frustration in Dead by Daylight; the following changes are intending to address these annoyances with temporary, but quickly applicable solutions.

Having said that, camping as well as the gap between SS and SWF can be neatly handled together. The first action will be pausing the entity progression of a hooked survivor if a killer is within sixteen meters of the hook (disabled if: the exit gates are powered, the killer enters chase, or another survivor enters the range). Additionally, if a survivor is on hook, all survivors auras become revealed to all survivors. Tunneling can be dealt with by applying a short (perhaps twenty second) grace period where after being unhooked, being picked up by the killer will result in a four second stun (disabled if: the exit gates are powered or performing a Conspicuous Action).

Bro tunneling and camping is a way to win and most of the time the only way if survivors are good. Its like i would say killer should see all survivors for 30 sec if 2 gens are done without a 20sec pause after the first gen. Its just stupid.

  • Ds should not be in the game aswell. I mean why should you be rewarded for getting killed. You played bad so the killer should have the right to hook you. Its just another perk for bronze survivors who try make this game into a survivor playground.

  • @Onyx said:

But every killer is useful when it comes to SBMM? Like, SBMM gives you points and ranks you up or down based on how well you do and each killer has its own SBMM. Which means that you will always reach their desired killrate with SBMM with every killer. I think what people should ask is for individual killers SBMM to have more of an impact than the overall killer SBMM rating.

You dont understand what i mean you cant play most of the killer against rly good swf teams or in competitive. You can only play blight and nurse and then things are not even on killer side its just balanced then and i want to know why they want to have such a gab between the killers.

Uh-huh. :) I understand exactly the point you are trying to make. I merely disagree with it and have refuted it. I'm not interested in your opinion, nor of any particular Streamer (and I am one). We play the hand we are dealt. If we aren't having fun, we move on (the sane do). Killers got a bump out of this update, which isn't opinion but a demonstrable fact. Whether or not the slowed Generators enough is merely opinion, and EVERYONE has one. ;) I could be hitting you with every Fallacy you have thrown out at us. I could be having a cruel, fun time with you but I'm restraining myself. Take your win. Play the game. If the Generators need further slowing down, I'm sure they will get it.

Its not a fact most streamer dosent see it that way. So i m not the only one. Its for sure no fact

  • @Wondertainment said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3059244#Comment_3059244

Yes. Everyone can have a bad game. My combined alts add up to almost 15K hours. ;) I'm sure the Streamer, with his other alts, probably has more than that still. But yes... anyone can have a bad game. Even squirrels fall out of trees.

You dont get the point because you dont want to

  • @Wondertainment said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3059201#Comment_3059201

What facts are those, the infallible AI-Bots that don't exist? I'm going to correct you here. I deal primarily in facts. Your view that Generators are still too fast is an "opinion" and not a fact. My view that Killers did well in the Updates is a fact, a demonstrable one.

So someone who has 7k hour or more in that game who played killer since beta get gen rushed in 3min. And the game is over just because he picked a killer that is not good enough for the curent meta. And you say those arent facts. I mean you cant play half of the killer because of this. Its just sad. And btw killer did not well in the update. 20-30 sec more for 5gens is not well. Its just like 3.20min for 5gens its still a joke.

  • @Wondertainment said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3059158#Comment_3059158

Oh? :) I don't play against the big boys and girls you say? Hrm. I guess I'll just have to take your assessment in good humor. Clearly because I disagree with you I must not be ready for the show. :) As to speculating, you just put on your tinfoil hat and went way down into the uncanny valley. By your "logic" if we were playing against five AI Bots who do not make mistakes, the Survivor-Bots would win every time, right? And this is the basis for your arguments? I would like to point out that even if this were true, which we have no way of testing and I consider very fanciful speculation, we aren't playing against five infallible AI-Bots are we? We play against people who make mistakes, bad calls, or are just unlucky. Again, I have to point out the obvious; Killers did very well in the updates. You should be celebrating, not complaining that you didn't have your champagne served to you by beautiful slave-whatever. Get a grip and take a deep breath. We all are playing the same game. We all face the same odds. I have five Alts with which I play DbD. Some are for fun, some are to gather content without the baggage of a TTV suffix, and one is just me being me. My MMR rating is maxed out in all of them. I enjoy the challenge. I am looking forward to seeing how the changes pan out. I'm happy that the DEV are moving toward being more interactive and appear to be listening to the community. I'm sure if Generator speeds, as you insist, are still too fast that it will be addressed in time. If they aren't, they won't.

You still dont talk about the facts...

  • @Wondertainment said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3059101#Comment_3059101

Actually I have managed to hook all four Survivors within the first two minutes. It is quite possible. Lots of things are possible, even if improbable. My point, which you seem unable to grasp, is that Killers did well in the updates. Take the win. Enjoy it. The fact that once in awhile, the stars will align and the Survivors will all get on different Generators, you will fail to find any of them in time and they will get all the Generators done, doesn't mean there is a problem. It just means YOU aren't doing a very good job. Five Generators in three minutes or less means YOU failed to apply any pressure whatsoever.

You clearly dont play killer at high sbmm. Thats the main issue in discussion like this we have made differnt experiences because we are at differnt skill lvls. You wont get my point as long as you dont play the games i have to play. The thing is i know how the bottelneck of this game looks like. And you're just speculating that the things i say just are not that bad. And it is just that 1 guy who dont know how to play. But i can tell you if there was 5 AI's who cant make misstakes playing against each other the survivors would allways win because its just how the game is disinged atm.

  • @Wondertainment said:

For Pete's Sake... they throw you a bone and you complain that you didn't get a steak. They throw you a steak and you complain you didn't get a five course, five star meal. You will be fine. They slowed the Generators down. Great. They gave you more Perks with improved regression. Wonderful. They gave you more speed to keep up pressure. Fantastic. They nerfed DH which will shorten chases, and made those pesky Survivors have to actually TIME IT right. Pretty much everything came up Milhouse. Take your benefits and be happy with them.

Bro i m not a dog. Why cant you talk about facts. I told you that there are games in which all gens are done in under 3mins and it is not even possible to do 12 hooks in that time and you are telling me sonething about appreciate the little things. Are you alright?

  • @SekiSeki said:

Nah man. I get games vary depending on matchups. DH should be gone now and that is going to be a massive change to chase times. Honestly, 80sec is completely fine with DH gone.

But now there is off the record which will cost same time as dh if not maybe more
