He's not saying that they are OP, he's saying...if I'm understanding right (my guess is that he's an ESL speaker) that clicky macros are insanely annoying and should have been removed years ago.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2982567#Comment_2982567
Is it?
Survivors...are the exclusive users of flashlights. And spamming that obnoxious strobe/clicking is definitely trolling.
Using an item isnt trolling, as annoying as one might be. You can make the point of it being bad for people with disabilities, which I agree if it's a macro and that could def be toned down to so it is more friendly for disabled people.
And when you start a comment with "you survivors" implying that I am a survivor only player, and that I'm the one using macros because I disagreed with them, yes it is a "you vs us" thread.

"you survivors", just another US vs Them thread, move along, nothing original or constructive to read here.

TIL that hacking is a survivor only problem.

You can go home and take off your lil makeup and costume and just live with your privilege, transgender people and gay/bi/etc can't afford that.
many LGBTQ+ people can do the same. Especially bi people that are in a heterosexual relationship - which doesn’t make them any less bi.
"AND SAYING A CROSSDRESSER IS A CISGENDER IS ALSO NOT REALLY THAT ACCURATE", so yes you did say they are trans.
only true if you deliberately ignore everything else I said. I said I don’t believe that there is only cis- or transgender but it’s more like a spectrum from my pov. And I directly stated I don’t think crossdressers are transgender.
so the fact you are still trying to twist my words to accuse me of transphobia speaks volumes.
Bi people who are in a straight relationship can't just delete their mind and suddenly only be attracted to the opposite gender, so no, it is not the same as taking your clothes and makeup off.
Your POV isnt the same as scientific POV. You either are cisgender, or you are transgender. Transgender also including people on the "spectrum" which are nonbinary people. Nonbinary people aren't considered crossdressers either.
I'm not twisting your words though, I literally quoted you, you're just backtracking now. What speaks volumes is again other LGB people thinking it is ok to talk over trans people and compare us to crossdressers. I wish I could say I'm surprised but at this point I am not.

I am saying that crossdressers and drag queens/kings are part of the LGBTQ+ community with focus on Q and +. I never said they are LGBT people (which you still only talk about). The Q stands for queer. Not only gender-queer. And the + says it’s more than just LGBTQ people.
i don’t say crossdressers are transgenders or transsexual. They are not the same but are part of the LGBTQ+ community.
please stop trying to put words into my mouth. I never said or implied tomboys or femboys are transgender???
Just because I only say LGBT doesnt mean I dont include queer and whatever else. A lot of the letters added after LGBT are terms that were already included in LGBT.
No crossdressers are not part of the LGBTQ+ community. Being a crossdresser doesn't mean you're queer. Being a straight cisgender drag queen doesn't mean you should be included in a marginalized group either.
You can go home and take off your lil makeup and costume and just live with your privilege, transgender people and gay/bi/etc can't afford that.
"AND SAYING A CROSSDRESSER IS A CISGENDER IS ALSO NOT REALLY THAT ACCURATE", so yes you did say they are trans. If they aren't cisgender it means they are trasngender. You are lying and being transphobic by implying being transgender is equal to putting on a costume.

That’s not what I said at all.
i still think of it more as a spectrum, I don’t see gender as something completely binary. But I definitely did not say a man putting on a dress is a trans person and I think you trying to put these words into my mouth is disgusting and offensive.
Someone who is not cisgender is transgender.
Wearing clothes that are associated with the opposite gender in society isnt the same as being transgender.
Again, this has been a problem for a long time with people confusing transGENDER with transVESTITE/crossdressers. We're just not the same. They are not under the transgender umbrella either. A tomboy is still a woman, a femboy is still a man, they're not transgender, they're crossdressers.

*for you
thats the thing. It’s not you who defines it or decides who is part of the LGBTQ+ community and who is not. There are obviously many people disagreeing with you on this.
A cisgender straight man has no place in the LGBT community just because he likes to wear women's clothes, and saying they do is just opening a door for all kinds of fetishes. No thanks, we already get labeled with enough ######### by conservatives.

Point is there's no clear qualifier of what gets lumped into the acronym.
If it's oppression then asexuality and aromantic don't belong.
If it's based on gender ideology then L G and B are all completely unrelated.
If it's based on sexuality then T doesn't fit.
And to be honest, 2S is pretty much none of the above.
It's just denial to pretend things aren't just added for being seen as 'outside the norm,' and lines of what can and can't be added are completely arbitrary, hence why there's so many different versions of the acronym.
For me it is based on sexuality and gender identity. so LGB + A and T, which also includes nonbinary people. That's it.

I just dont understand why people want to be part of LGBT so bad like it's just some kinda quirky trend. Why cant they just go crossdress and join crossdress groups instead of trying to invade a space that is for a marginalized group?

Well neither are asexual or aromantic people, but they're lumped in with us. What rights is someone being denied because they don't like sex or relationships? At worst it might be slightly harder to get a loan.
Asexuality is still a sexuality. Crossdressing is not a sexuality or gender identity.

Yeah but the world consists of more than first world countries. And even in those it really wasn’t like this always
I'm aware that the world is more than that, but in those places of the world, people are also not worried about what is included in LGBT or not, they are more worried about not getting brutally assaulted and legally murdered just by existing.

Dressing is part of your identity. So yes, I think they should be included. That's my opinion.
well should we also allow people who dress as animals in the LGBT community? If they do it as a kink, it is linked to sexuality. Should we add an F to LGBT for furries? maybe a P for Pet play?

While I see your point I think People with red hair is a bad comparison. Besides bad jokes (not excusing that) I'm not aware of red headed people being systemically oppressed.
Crossdressers are also not systemically opressed. Getting weird looks in the street is not the same as the government trying to ban basic human rights (marriage, medical care etc).

You are still only talking about LGBT people while I made it obvious I am talking about the LGBTQ+ community.
and no. You literally cant go outside dressing however you like. Not everywhere in the world. And just because a crossdresser doesn’t dress like that in public doesn’t magically change their person.
In first world countries you can go outside dressed as you like, as long as you aren't exposing yourself. Sure some people will give you weird looks, but I also got weird looks when I dressed as a goth in highschool.

I thought it would be obvious that the community moves in the Sexual-Identity circle. So of course it is in that context.
So by that logic only crossdressers who do it as a sexual act should be included?
Dressing as a girl while still identifying as a straight cisgender man is not an identity or sexuality. It's either a kink or a clothing choice, so they shouldn't be in this community.
-
@Mooks said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2981494#Comment_2981494
But that’s exactly my point. Gender non-conforming is part of the LGBTQ+ (mind the + please) community.
and with acting straight I meant acting straight. Like, actually having a public-heterosexual relationship as a cover up.
Because LGBT people cant choose to be LGBT. People have a choice to dress how they want to dress.
You can go outside and dress how society thinks you should dress, but trans people don't go outside and stop being trans, like gay people dont go outside and stop being gay.
-
@Metronix said:

Inclusion of the disrespectet, pitty eyed, the ones who get the "not normal"-treatment by society, the bullied, misunderstood, the ones that desperatly search for others to understand them and a safe place. Inclusion of everyone who needs to be included, because they are not included anywere else. You might think this is an exaggeration, it is not. At least not yet. Drag Queens definetly belong there. Straights - and I mean that respectfully - do not.
By that logic, a lot of groups should be included in LGBT. Gingers have always been discriminated against, do they belong in LGBT?
I think we still should keep LGBT group to categories related to gender and sexuality, because if we're going to include everyone ever who has been discriminated against for this or that it will just lose all meaning.

white people that support BLM are obviously not black. But I don’t see how this is in any way related to this? I am not saying straight people are gay after all..
and for some people, crossdressing is more than just doing it once and it might be part of their gender identity while they don’t identify as trans. I don’t see why you would try to talk that down? Like. Gay people could also act straight in public but that doesn’t change that they are gay…
Dressing as a girl/boy is not gender identity. If a guy decides he likes to wear dresses it doesn't mean he identifies as a woman. That's just being gender non-conforming.
That's why you can still see trans women who like to trans masculine and trans men who like to dress feminine.
I can see how so many words and definitions with the word "gender" in it can be confusing, but they're not the same. Gender identity =/= gender presentation.
What would you consider "acting straight"? Because afaik the only thing that makes someone gay is liking someone of the same gender, not any other acts. Sure there are stereotypes, but that isn't really proof that someone is gay/straight/whatever.

Mari, where have you been? LGBT is nothing, if not political....and lets hope you're right on the gameplay because this game is tired AF
Where have I been? In the real world, and not terminally online like some of you people who spend too much time on twitter and see everything as political propaganda.
And I am right, the lore team which I'm assuming can go from writers to artists, is completely different than gameplay designers and programmers. One thing will not affect the other at all.

It never worked for YOU...but you arent the only one playing, are ya? And the point that is being made is this: If you continue down the path of "inclusion" vs. game play or creating game play mechanics that might actually be interesting then where does it end? Should I start going on the warpath to get pro-life characters or straight white characters in the game? Do you have any idea how many of us play this game? I'd rather debate about putting in a new mechanic for the game instead of constantly doing gens.....like maybe we find a new way to make the game more authentic and introduce a fear mechanic for Killers, and give survivors a new objective instead of the same mind-numbing 5 gen escape scenario....just a thought my dude.
There's already straight white characters in the game.
Being pro-life is a political position, being LGBT is not.
The gameplay team is different than the team who creates the lore, so something being worked on on category, doesn't mean the other one isn't also being worked on by its respective team.

i do count allies as a matter of fact. Also doing drag or being an actual crossdresser (not just once wearing a dress as man) is already something against the traditional cis-gendered role and kinda goes into this queer-definition. Queer doesn’t mean outright not being straight in my eyes. And there is still the +, which means it’s not only LGBTQIA2S. There is more to this community.
and drag is really associated with gay culture in some ways as well, even if some drag queens are straight.
I don't count allies in the acronym. Like I don't count white people who support BLM as black.
Gender roles isnt the same as gender identity. Like I mentioned, you can dress as a woman while being a man, but you are not a marginalized group for doing that, since that is a choice and you can just stop doing it.

Yes I could tell that keeping your gender and/or sexual orientation to yourself is normal when you talk to stranger on the internet as long as they're not trying to get acquainted with you, wich is the usual way to talk with people on the internet.
I don't know you, and don't want to considering how agressive you are.
No, telling someone to be silence about who they are in an LGBT thread is not normal.
It seems like some of you people only care to support LGBT people when they are "yes ma'am" and agree with everything you say, for you it's about politics and not about people's lived experiences with their sexuality and gender.

Never said being trans is a choice, said some people stopped transitioning and end up not being trans anymore.
I said that because you are trans it doesn't give you the power to decide if someone is a real trans or not
And I don't care if you're trans, I'm not here to get acquainted with you, keep this to yourself as I'm keeping my gender and sexual orientation to myself
If you can "stop being trans" then it is a choice. Please do tell me how to stop being trans, I'd love to have saved thousands of euros in my transition and would have loved to not being disowned.
Someone who stops transitioning doesn't mean they stop being trans. A lot of people just go back in the closet because 1) unsupportive environment, 2) lack of funds, 3) some people cant transition medically for health issues.
Some gay people are in straight relationships, doesn't mean they aren't gay.
Trans definition: someone who doesn't identify with their assigned gender at birth. The definition, that I am aware of what it is, gives me the power to know who is trans or not, yes.
You are telling me to keep my identity to myself, are you gonna tell the gay people in this thread to also keep their gayness to themselves? What a crappy thing to say.

Yes, transgender people also can be straight, so can intersex people. But there are no straight cisgender people on the LGBT community unless you count allies.
Queer just means you aren't straight/cisgender, one or both.

And drag as well as cross dressing are not fetishes on their own.
Being LGBTQ+ is not a choice, being a crossdresser is.
I can wake up tomorrow and decide to put on a dress, I can't wake up tomorrow and decide to not be trans or bi.

drag and cross dressing aren’t directly and solely fetishes.
and I explicitly said Q or + part of the LGBTQ+ community. Being queer isn’t really that strictly defined after all, is it?
They might not be just fetishes, but a lot of it is tied into it. Femboys and tomboys aren't LGBT unless they're Lesbian/Gay/Bi/Trans. Clothes don't make you LGBT.
There has always been a big stigma against transgender people because people used to confuse it with transvestites/crossdressers. Adding those to LGBT too it's just shitting on trans people at this point.

Agreed! That's why when they make future LGBT+ survivors (dragqueendragqueendragqueen) they don't need to make a big deal about it or make a long post about it like they did with David. "We're announcing our first openly gay drag survivor!" Just let the lore of the character and the cosmetics speak for themselves. Or mention a significant other in their lore like they do with Felix.
Another thing I'd like to see is a non-binary survivor. That doesn't need to be made a big deal at all, but it'd be awesome to have.
How is a drag queen an LGBT character exactly? Doing drag doesnt make you LGBT.
People keep asking about gay characters, "drag queens" and nonbinary people like those aren't already shown in media enough.... I'd like to see binary trans people since other people, including LGBT people, forget we exist :)
