Dude you don't even know what you posted you were so mad lol.
Like on one hand yeah our community looks bad because of the rage posts, but at a point the devs gotta ask themselves if maybe they could be handling the game a little better
I know exactly what i posted, and so do 99% of the people commenting here. This isn't a rage post. This is a post about rewarding players who get facecamped, because they get no BP or PIP for reasons out of their control. Please use your brain.

Why are you coming at people giving you the correct advice lol.
Like what do you want, people to tell you a secret countering method? Alright fine. DS, BT, DH and a 4 man swf with some toolboxes. You'll never lose again, congrats
which advice did i ask? Is me saying I shouldn’t depip and get no bp for being facecamped me asking for advice?
is someone assuming the meaning of my thread the same as giving me advice? No.

But your problems is camping. You want them to not camp you, so therefore they would play your way. Didn't mean to start an argue, I just think its silly to complain so much about it👍
Read the whole thread and stop being ignorant.

You basically want the killer to play how you want. Doesn't matter how you formulate it.
I play this game too much, camping isn't anywhere near that big of a problem. Is it boring, yes.. I agree. But you want the killers to change their playstyle into something more convenient for you, that's all I'm stating, and that's all😁
you don’t get to dictate what I’m saying or not on my thread. You’re the only one that made that conclusion. I have 4k hours and face camping is not that rare, not even at red ranks.
-
@finitethrills said:
Yep, it sucks. The only advantage you get is simple though... You get to go find a new game in 2 minutes, and you know it won't be against THAT killer... assuming your queue times are decent.
They're crap at night. Waiting 10+ minutes to sit on the hook for 2.

@Zylance said:
I might have skipped a few things. But all of is saying is that HE wants to have fun, and other should play the way he wants them to play..🙌
Me wanting to play the game I put hundreds of dollars into (which i am unable to if I'm sitting on a hook) isn't me telling others to stop camping. Nowhere in my post i said "stop camping". I want to get more BP and not depip tho. I know its easy to regurgitate hot phrases from the forums but at least make sure to read the whole thing before commenting.

As someone who has been the victim of countless blank Bubba stares, it's really the only thing your team CAN do unless they have flashlights and good coordination. I take solace in the fact that they have to employ such a dirty 'tactic' to secure one measly kill and laugh at them for it. Why should the other three Survivors feed these people more points attempting to save me? Most likely the Killer will safety pip if they just ignore the situation and seize the opportunity to gtfo. It sucks for the one on the hook, but it's really the only way to punish these scumbags.
It punishes the person on the hook more than it punishes the killer. That is the issue.

@Momentosis said:
Do good for the team.
You might lose but the team wins and Killer loses. It's okay. Take the loss/win for the team and move on
Why should I care if my team wins or loses when I'm not even able to play myself? Their win is not my win, I get nothing for it.

@Crazewtboy said:
There is a easy solution to this issue. Don't get caught. Improve your running skills so it isn't you sitting on the hook.
I hope this is your way of being ironic and you don't actually believe survivors wont ever go down. "Just don't die 4head".
-
@F60_31 said:
Yes it sucks if you are the hooked one but a killer is heavily punished if the others do gens. He will not do it again soon.
People who face camp don't care about BP/PIPS. Only person punished by being facecamped is me who is unable to play the game.

Its funny...the people that tell you to just stay on thee hook and "waste the killers time" are probably the more selfish people. They claim you to be a selfish survivor if you want to ######### on hook and move to the next match. But yet no matter even if you decide to struggle all the way or not. You're still rewarded with next to no points and depip. Are we just supposed to be rewarded with a feel good feeling cuz our teammates possibly got away or what? Cuz as far as I'm concerned the people who expect you to stick around and still earn nothing are pretty selfish.
I don't mind struggling, but is it even worth it for what 300 bp? i can't do anything with 300 bp. "But the others can escape" ok, but that still doesn't do anything for me.
-
If a killer helps a team mate against you it is also to blame them imo. Some killers cannot win without the help of crappy team mates.

So, if killers are OP, how come, that killers have instant lobbies while survivors have to wait 10 minutes in a queue?
Wouldn´t people prefer to play the OP role?
I wait 10 mins for a killer lobby in the morning and survivor is instant. Opposite at night.

Played killer right after that match, instant q times and got a 4k. Was definitely more relaxing and fair than the solo q experience

The game has set such an incredibly high bar for new players. Given the state of matchmaking it's all too common to have someone with hundreds if not thousands of hours competing against someone who just started, which is why it boggles my mind that there is still not a proper training mode. Obviously bots will not be as efficient as an actual human being, but they can still help provide a decent challenge and let newcomers get their bearings straight while they practice the basics.
It's the reason why DBD has a dwindling player base of killers. BHVR can throw as many login bonuses our way as they want, but it's not going to get newcomers to stick around.
well if those newcomers keep on dcing yea i doubt theyll improve anyway

To be fair I have had red ranks diconnect on their first down too...
it's way more rare though, and at least those usually don't go down in 2 seconds.

@DemonDaddy said:
Have to disagree solo survivor is probably the best way to enjoy the game apart from a properly matched killer.
Maybe at rank 20 as a rank 20 survivor, not when you're red ranks and keep getting rank 10+ as team mates who go down in 2 seconds and then dc

It would have been nice to get this kind of info earlier.A lot of people,including me,thought that it would just be a simple thing to do like disabling bloodlust,starting bloodhunt events etc.
But wouldn't you agree that giving us somekind of bloodhunt (double or 1.5 bp) would be a very easy change to make this feel more like an event?
It would be easy but "muh bloodpoint economy". They don't care how grindy this game is. It's insane for new players.

Survivor is braindead to play. It's no secret survivors only die because they're either fooling around or just don't like the killer. Threat changes would give survivors the true challenge they need.
SWF is brainded to play* FIFY
You clearly haven't played solo to think it is easy.

Infinite insta heal claudettes. I've had 2 of those. And a claudette that "escaped" when she was hooked.

10,000 is a large number though. 10,000 of anything is a lot right?
Large numbers don't matter in this game when it comes to BP since evrything in the bloodweb is expensive.
-
Both sides are equality toxic. Just the other day I had a billy telling me to kill myself because I told him he was being an idiot for assuming we were in swf just because he lost. (we were not, all solo).

Lost me at hag being able to teleport to any trap on the map.
+ Lost me even further by saying iri head/hatchets is fine. No, it isn't. Specially with her hatchets having the size of a bus.

I have this experience but with bills and janes... Davids are fine with me
-
Glad I'm not the only one having this experience as a EU player. They're always laggy as hell, and like someone else said, a lot of them play huntress which makes it even worse.
-
It's not an event when you only get 10k bp a day (which honestly is insulting when you can get way more by just playing a single match or doing a daily challenge) and giving us the "frosty eyes" cosmetics by redeeming codes when they have always been just given directly when they come out.

Even if I choose to tunnel you, there's nothing that says I'm breaking any rules. If I hooked you, someone without BT saved you right in front of me, your tasting the dirt again. I usually go for the rescuer because I suspect BT and DS. If I know the saver doesn't have BT then yes I will down you because I know your not going anywhere. Then I will chase the person who saved you. That way you have to waste UB if you have it or someone else has to drop what they are doing to save you. When I hook the saver, if your still on the ground, I'm putting you back on the hook. It's not cheating, it's not toxic, it's playing killer efficiently. Stop blaming the killer for your bad team mates.
Well camping isn't breaking any rules and you still get punished for it. I never mentioned rules anywhere in post. And where did I blame the killer? I talked about ME being punished because of a team mate.
Yea it's easy to say just do gens when a killer camps, but what if it's you on the hook? depip with almost no points. It's like you people only look in your own direction and don't consider the experience of the ones who actually get affected by it, which is mostly solo q survivors.
-
My Jeff is p3 with all perks, but I do not main him... He lacks cosmetics imo
-
@dezzmont said:
Nope. If you unhook right in front of the killer, and the killer hits the person who was unhooked, it doesn't mean the killer was toxic.
It means you are bad, and farmed your teammate. The pip system punishes YOU and REWARDS the killer right now, and that is a good design. The killer should be rewarded for high skill plays, and punishing survivor mistakes is a high skill play.
The devs experimented with a few more anti-camp/tunnel penalties before, and found that it just results in the game breaking, which makes sense: Any further punishment to killers defending the hook other than what they already got would mean making hooking actively bad for killer, and removing any skill from survivor rescue plays.
If you wanna unhook in the killer's face, run borrowed time and eat the hit for your buddy so that all together the killer needs to land 3 attacks to down the hooked victim. If you don't want to do that, count to 30 and rescue then so the killer isn't right next to the hook. Insta-rescues, aka hook farming, is a very low skill survivor play that FORCES the killer to tunnel to maintain pressure.
Hard disagree. It punishes the farmed team mate more than anyone, and it was not a bad play on their part since they have no say if they get farmed from the hook or not.
When were those experiments for anti camp/tunnel penalties? Can you give an example on that?
Also a survivor unhooking me in your face without BT, doesn't force you to tunnel me. You still make that decision on your own alone.

If a killer is AFK you can pip very easily. you just have to do more then fix gens.
If other people have done totems, the killer has no terror radius, what are you supposed to do? you wont pip. A lot of afk killers are wraiths.

I would be mad at the teammates instead of the killer. The killer's objective is killing you.
Your objective is doing gens to escape. No one forces your entire team to get slugged near a hooked survivor.
That's not griefing/holding the game hostage either as you bleed out on the floor. It merely takes twice as long as dying on the hook as killing by slugging would be more time-efficient if it only took 2 minutes just like a hook.
How is it not griefing looking at 2 downed survivors nodding for 4 minutes?

Or maybe he didn't want you to pick them up? It doesn't matter if he could have done it differently jesus not everyone plays the same, were not all robots, and passive aggressive reply? If I'm aggressive trust me u gonna know it.. your question has been answered multiple times but u keep asking the same thing... Also u said
"The issue isn't slugging. The issue is slugging for 4 minutes when he could have easily hooked"
Again who cares if someone thinks he should be hooked, he obviously didn't think so, he did it because he wanted to plain and simple...
You're not adding anything constructive to this thread besides "i do what i want hurr durr" please leave.

It's a dumb move but is also not just on console. I play on PC and my fellow PC users sometimes do the same thing.
-
@Klakky said:
Ok let's just close the subject on this and only answer your topic, why do killers slug..
They slug because:
a) they want to
b) they can
c) they feel like they have to
If anyone has any other answers feel free to fill in d) e) etc...
The issue isn't slugging. The issue is slugging for 4 minutes when he could have easily hooked (there was no risk of DS because they hadnt been hooked yet). As far as I know waiting for someone to bleedout for 4 minutes while nodding is not a strategy or normal gameplay.
Make sure if you want to reply again to actually use an argument and not a passive aggressive reply.
-
How is he risking picking up someone over hooking when he hadnt hooked anyone yet?
-
@megswifey said:
It's obnoxious, but it's a "strategy" no matter how lame it is. I once had a survivor spam unhook me in the struggle phase before teabagging me and leaving with her swf buddies and I reported her for griefing but I guess survivors can choose not to save me. People can be crummy, all we can do is move on and hope for the best. Good luck in your next matches and I hope they're more fun than this one :)!
I'm pretty sure that would be considered griefing though, since it's sandbagging on purpose isnt it?

I stopped reading when u missread I said survivors r bad if they're bleeding out... But to make it clear, survivors are worse not bad I miswrite that part due to autocorrect, it's up to them and the killer if they bleed out, they could go in separate directions honestly but this isn't about how they played now is it? It's not ban able read the rest of my other comment and u will see an explanation
You just said, again, that if people bleedout it means they're bad. And I point to you the same reply I gave you above.
-
@Mandy said:
No, this is not griefing, this is also not reportable - camping, tunneling, slugging etc are not things that should be reported, it wastes the time of the ACM's who go through the reports and takes away the time from genuine reportable game offences.
So what does it mean in the reports when it says "refusing to play the game". Is nodding for 4 minutes part of the gameplay?
-
I wouldn't nerf her. She is fine imo.

@Klakky said:

Yes it is he's a killer he can play however he wants, he can even let you all go it's not ban able he decides how he wants to play, survivors can either escape or if they that bad they can bleed out, only thing I can think of is blocking 1 person while 3 survivors r dead so he's stuck until killer hits him,moves or one of them dc that's taking the game hostage
edit:obviously has to be a longer video if it isn't u can record him for a minute and say this been going on for 2hours
I stopped reading on the first sentence because saying someone bleeding out means they're bad it's just really low effort argument with lack of intelligent reasoning. Could as well just say "just don't die 4head" and it would sound the same.
