🤔you've not seen everything that's going to be in the PTB yet…
-
Appreciate the feedback on this…there wasn't actually a QA at all, it was not intended, it was purely that we managed to grab some questions from chat that were being asked the most to just clarify things where we saw confusion on what we were presenting. As you likely saw, it was a long stream with a lot of information and it was important to us that the information was clear on what we were showing.
When we do QA's we will likely do dedicated ones, that way we can get to more questions - Twitch / YouTube chat is moving fast and things can very easily get missed.
-
What makes it hard when perks / powers interact, is that it limits both perk and powers in the design process - we'd have to imagine every perk working with every power to ensure it was still at a playable state, and that's a lot of perks that have to work with killer powers - this is also not something new, we've seen it with Bamboozle and Legion for example, where the window block does not work with that part of the perk when Legion is vaulting in power.

This is not meant as a direct criticism but rather a question about how the devs do QA testing. Can the devs not play matches on public servers to check this for themselves? If people on the forum and content creators are seeing maps with way too many pallets, surely the devs can go into public matches to check for themselves, right? I’m just confused why the onus is on the players to submit game logs and video evidence when it seems like the devs could very quickly and easily check themselves in public matches.
I will speak from my personal experience here, I've played many matches the last few days, and not found anything remotely wrong with the pallets (only Midwich spawns) and same on many streams I watch. It's not about Devs being on Live, it's just that none of us have experienced this at all, which is why we've asked for logs if you do experience it in your game.
-
We've not adjusted pallet density this patch (and haven't for some months, since the last documented change) and have not been able to find issues on our side (nor have many other players). I suggest if you do encounter this in YOUR matches, then please grab your game logs and report it to us as a bug on Betahub as from what we're seeing, nothing has changed on the Live maps.

The fact that so many people are all or nothing on 99ing the gates kinda shows a lack of nuance. It can be both the right and the wrong move depending on the situation, make the decision based on the game around it.
This is exactly right - it's not a black and white situation. There's a lot of gameplay factors to consider when opening gates or 99'ing them. If I'm solo queue and there's a team mate hooked, I know I will open that gate as I will be going back for the save and not staying around the gate area - however, if someone is in chase, and you don't know where on the map they are, and therefore you won't be randomly running over the map, it's often best to 99 the gate and wait, and be reactive if the chase does come towards the door that you are at.
So many gameplay options like most things in DbD, there's not always a simple "this is right, this is wrong" scenario. -
We appreciate that players found the previous audio / vo iconic, with the addition voicelines it was no longer possible - we kept the original scare scream audio in the files as an easter egg of sorts but have increased the chance of it playing during the game. We are not going to move away from the latest voice lines however.

I believe it's considered a bug because gens that are blocked stop regressing until they are unblocked and Trail of Torment is supposed to stop when the target gen stops regressing
exactly right - so this is a bug fix. Whilst we can pass the feedback to the design team IF anything is changed it would need to be done as a change - with design intention and reasoning, not a bug fix.
-
Just to clear up something - the character prices are deliberately kept lower that the outfits, characters are an intrinsic part of the game, and players want to use different characters, different killer powers etc. Cosmetics are far more of an option to a new power hence the pricing difference - its more of a choice for players if they wish to purchase cosmetics or not.
-
A few things depend on the type of ticket that it is, they do have an increased amount of reports at the moment so there is some minor delays.
-
If you believe you have found a bug, please report it on Betahub here: which is where we take bug reports from - they are no longer taken from the forums.
-
Please do not share survey links as they are linked to your in-game account and your ID is visible in the link!
-
Unfortunately due to the change in the certification processes on that platform, we're unable to offer bugfix patch 1 due to the turnaround times. Switch will receive bugfix patch 2 approximately a week later than the other platforms, and crossplay will then be re-enabled.

If we just use the ingame report system when we see stuff like this will the devs still be able to tell they were hacking if I dont send a video?
unfortunately without evidence we're unable to act on any report which is why for reports of this nature, a full ticket to support with evidence is mandatory I'm afraid.

This is really odd my friend. My friend got a survey based on survivor experience towards killers. However, I got the opposite. I got a killer survey, based on balance, changes, adjustments, addons, fun, not fun etc.
I think BHVR sent out 2 surveys but they are based on what you play more as in a role. I don't know…Just speculating.
the survey is dynamic depending on how you answer
(editing to confirm that there is only one survey) -

But didnt you already do that on stuff like the uninstall survey which was very important as it decided the "top reasons people Uninstalled the game"
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/7149XFTKSATB/1000013543.png
and yet only one that you have underlined is survivor specific.
Killer powers being unbalanced goes both ways, unbalance does not equal overpowered, underpowered is also a thing.
-
the reason that it is in-game is that it links to your game account
-
It's important to have the opinion on both sides of the game - the same as if this was a survivor related survey, I am pretty sure if there was a question such as "do you think your surivvor role is too strong" that killers would like to have the same question asking if they feel the survivor role is too strong.
Data that comes from only one side, is not helpful to us in this context.
-
I am so very sorry for your loss.
-
I'm going to lock this as it's really a player support question - nobody can assist here. It's more complicated that it first appears as Unlinking / Unsinking is not doable since cross progression was fully implemented and Support do not bypass that. There can also be issues with the Behaviour Account as you would not have the required email address for it.
I urge everyone to protect your accounts, enable 2FA, use strong passwords etc.
-
Crossplay will be re-enabled when Switch is on the same build as other platforms, which is scheduled with 9.4.2 build which is due in the next few weeks (date to be confirmed). When all platforms are on that build, then crossplay will be enabled. Until then all platforms other than Switch will be on 9.4.1 (as of today) and Switch will remain on 9.4.0 until 9.4.2 is released for Switch.
-
We do not take ban appeals on the forums, if you have been directed to EAC via Support - it means that the ban was applied by them and therefore can only be reversed by them. Everyone is entitled to one appeal, where the information is reviewed. IF that is upheld (which is has been in your case it seems) then the decision stands and no further appeals are allowed. Player Support is unable to assist in the case of EAC bans.
-
You should get the Switch update later today.

That line is not doing what you think it is doing.
Its specifically only preventing it when grabbing a survivor, which was a difficult but possible thing to do that would let you double hit really quickly.
thank you for explaining it! Yes, that is exactly what it was.
-
My fingers are tightly crossed that this sentiment continues! And thanks for your feedback!
-
Bug reports are no longer taken from the forums - you can report directly on the Betahub website, on our Discord (it is directly connected to Betahub), or through a Support Ticket. Thank you.
-
Because it was completely one sided, a blind shouldn't be guaranteed - and with a survivor being able to phase into a killer to drop the flashbang where they couldn't react to it, it was incredibly one sided. If a killer has counted for a flashbang / flashlight save by making sure they're in a safe spot there should not be a mechanic that circumvents that.
Removing the exploitable part has made saving a bit more skilfull and risky again, which is how it is intended.
-
Its definitely a bug! The fix should be implemented in a hotfix patch, I'm hoping the next one.
-
We do not accept appeals for any type of temporary penalty, including things like DC'd or AFK penalties.
If you have received an AFK penalty then there is a point in the match where the system has been flagged that you are not actively participating in the game, either excessive hiding, away from keyboard totally etc. and therefore not contributing to the overall match - not helping to progress the game in anyway.
-
There has been no intended changes made there, if you're having issues or have noticed something problematic, please create a bug report on Betahub or on the DbD Discord directly to Betahub. Thank you
@Junylar said:
It's been like this for ages, and it's intentional, because survivors asked them to make it safe to farm at the killer's face, so they were happy to oblige. It's similar to the basekit BT and came to life about the same time, although for some reason it was never announced.
Please stop spreading misinformation!

There is no current plans to adjust Demo in the short term - this chapter is focusing on new content.

No ghoul nerfs...?
Guys, cmon its been 9 months...hes still the most hated killer since skull-merchant got released.
We really have to bring out the "everyone dc's against this killer",
until bhvr acts, dont we?.
I dont know what else we are supposed to do, feedback doesnt work, even content creators and fog-members said he is not healthy the way he is.
No one likes being injured for free with no effort, through the wall, while having more chase mechanics on top of it.
No one likes going against ghoul when other killers do more effort for less.
whilst there's no actual nerfs to the Ghoul, that issue you mentioned there is fixed under bug fixes. Right now the design team is monitoring to see if Ghoul does require changes, maybe the counterplay is not clear enough for some survivors etc things like the revault. We're not overly concerned with his kill rate right now, nor is his usage rate excessively high either. So it is something we need to be cautious about.
-
The Switch release will likely be towards the end of the week, they're on a slightly different schedule after the certification process was changed, as outlined in the FAQ on this.
-
The fact that a player has prevented a player playing the game enough so that they've been forced to get AFK crows is not an issue for you? It will always be seen as griefing on our side.
-
Nothing has changed on our side with regards to Switch 2, we do not have any plans to make a specific Switch 2 update at the moment.
-
To be very clear here, if the Killer was holding a Survivor (body blocking), so that the Survivor is not able to participate in the game, and EGC had not started - this is against the game rules and if reported with evidence, can and would result in a ban. It is irrespective of whether the other survivors are able to complete the generators, that survivor is being held hostage in the match and unable to do anything to prevent the situation.
-
I'd be interested to know this if anyone has tried it as well - I've given it a quick go and had no problem (but I don't normally play killer on a controller so have very little point of reference), so it would be interesting to see what others have thought.
-
I think this is where some learning experience into the game comes in. As is correctly said in this thread - if you remotely suspect the killer has Pain Res for example, you're not going to be repairing a gen at the time of hooking as you let go a few seconds before if you're working on the most progressed generator at the time - which you can see from the HUD. I think making DMS only work if a survivor manually lets go of a generator could potentially weaken the perk too much.
-
Ban appeals are not done on the Forums. If you have been permanently banned and contacted Player Support and your account remains permanently banned, then I am afraid there is nothing else that can be done.
-
I'm sorry but for security purposes this would not be possible to do.
-
Merry Christmas all <3

Look Outside came out this year and its amazing. Really fun if you are into cosmic/body horror, give it a shot!
also reduced on Steam right now!
-
I'm gonna need to look through the Steam sales as well, see what I can pick up. Otherwise I will spend many more hours in The Forest and / or Sons of the Forest!
Definitely think I'm going to try out STASIS now though!
-
ohhh I'm going to have to check out some of those @jesterkind I'd not actually played Signalis myself so pretty sure I'm going to give that a go over the holiday break
It's interesting to see what other people play!
-
It will just be original characters, no licenced ones unfortunately

No they are using a better way of reporting bugs that some random forum where they can update the status of it way easier. Sorry but this forum bug reporting was always not good way to do it in anyway. There was no point to have some mod adding it to the real bug report system they have in the house. Now it seems this thing can way easier to move to that one or they are using that as the main one so no need to jump through hoops.
Just to note that its also way better way to report them as its way easier to add videos and pictures where you can even edit those pictures after uploading so you can mark what the problem is.
This is step to better visibility to the players of what is happening and what is being fixed than the old I heard someone state in a thread somewhere in the forum or bug reports that this is getting fixed. Old does not mean good or better it just means old.
This is exactly the reason why we have it - and it also integrates into our systems!
Forum bug reporting was never a good tool, we've wanted to move away from it for quite some time, forums are just not designed for that. Having a tool like this is ideal, it not only takes reports and integrates them into our systems, but also acts as a known issues board in a way, also when you are creating a report, it is able to mark as duplicates etc, which is a big time save and allows us to offer a much better service.
-
Hey all!
I understand the frustration and upset here, we will look at our moderation escalation (our rules will not be changing), to allow for a "decay" period. It's not something that's in-built into the forum structure - as you know we use a Hosting service and we are limited to what they provide. But we can certainly ensure it's part of our manual review when there's specific rule breaks.
I will close this thread now so that nobody else gets into the territory of breaking our forum rules however, we will maintain these rules and we stand by them. It's the escalation that we will look into and managing things on a more individual case by case basis.

The only problem i have is that you need to share your cloud ID. Was gonna report a bug a couple days ago but cloud id is a requirement and i couldn't be bothered to open the game for it. And i don't have it written down anywhere because that's not secure apparently.
Yeah the id is so we can pull the logs on our end from the server and an Id is so useful for us to do that with.

While we expect formal announcements in the future, is it possible to submit bug reports for non-English languages on BetaHub? Currently, there are pages available for bug reporting in languages other than English - will these remain accessible?
For now its English only (same as the forums bug reporting section).
