What can I do if I've done all that and Support have confirmed I'm on the mailing list but still won't give me a code? I've just been told they're investigating and it could take them awhile
if they've said they're investigating then please just bear with them whilst that investigation occurs.
-
Surge isn't related to Terror Radius, it's a flat 32m of the killers location when they down a survivor.
Starstruck is within terror radius but TR has to be vertical as well as horizontal.
-
If you have not received the code, and you are sure you are signed up in time, and have ticked all the right boxes (that's important), then please contact our Player Support who will check eligibility for you and grant a code if you should have received one.
-
Being grabbed from a portal is definitely intended - same as you can get grabbed off a generator for example, with portals its harder though as the specific window for the grab is much smaller.
-
If you've not received it and you are sure you were signed up with all the right boxes ticked prior to the requested date, you will need to contact our support team who will check eligibility and be able to grant the item.
-
we have the game rules here, we expect our players to behave in a mature manner when playing the game by following those rules.
Everyone is responsible for their own chat comments, and if they are not able to control themselves in end game chat, then I do suggest switching that chat off.

We love ❤️ you Mandy! And the team. Thank you for the comment and we are here for you in spirit! Wish we could help 😔
thank you <3

Please remember that many of us have lost colleagues we care about today, people we've worked with, admire and respect. So please lets keep this discussion civil.
I'm not going to discuss the situation, but can assure all of you - DbD is not going anywhere, this does not affect our production pipeline etc.
Thank you to those who have expressed support today <3
-
I'm sorry but all purchases are final

Speaking of patch note, can you confirm whether or not the Scamper change is getting reverted?
its not getting reverted, what's changed is listed on the Dev Update. When the update releases the full patch notes will be released then.
-
The patch notes are not out yet - the Dev Update gives the main points that's changing from the PTB to Live. Vecna passing through Survivors is a bug that was on the PTB and should be fixed when the update goes Live.
-
There should not be a DC Penalty if you are slugged and receive crows, if you do get a penalty for this then please make a bug report and add the game logs to the report, thank you!
-
There hasn't been a Grade Reset since the Anniversary Stream - which was on the 14th May, so after Grade Reset happened.
Grade Rewards were given out on the correct day, those who logged in on that day at a specific time didn't receive their rewards and they were refunded later, this did not affect players who logged in later in the day when the issue was fixed.
-
Did you die still holding the item or did you put the item down, or did the killer have Franklins Demise etc?

Just tried to give every signal I could to a group that brought in a bunch of envolpes and I brought BPS, tried to let one pallet stun, let them do gens in front of me and all, they still all rushed and left with no interaction rude.
not rude at all, Farming is something that's a very grey area, it's definitely frowned upon whilst not fully against the rules of the game, it's definitely against the spirit of the game.
Most players do not want farming matches, they actually want to play the game.

Regardless of map boosting, the non-repeat feature should be stopping the same map appearing twice, and last time I checked there were 4 maps which were boosted. This hadn't happened the previous weeks, so if the non-repeat feature could always be maintained then we'd appreciate it.
When map boosting is in place that overrides the map repeat prevention (intentionally). There's 6 maps per week that are boosted

What? Why?? This is bad however you look at it. Given that RPD is overwhelmingly considered a terribly balanced map that most players dislike.
Either you guys are aware of this, and you’re still forcing everyone to play that map multiple times in a row, which is a terrible experience for everyone imo.
OR you’re unaware of this which could lead a reasonable person to interpret it as case #472947352 of the devs being out of touch with the playerbase. I hope that’s not the case.
But worst of all, afaik nobody announced this map boosting feature which directly contradicts your own reasoning for implementing a map repeat prevention system in the first place.
Could we at least know why certain maps are being boosted weekly?
It was announced, the first week was last week as part of the celebrations of DbD's history.
-
This is to do with the map boostings, some maps each week will be boosted to appear more frequently.

Prevents survivors from holding the game hostage once generators are done.
Endgame Collapse already works to prevent survivors holding a match hostage, as the killer can open the door when all generators are complete and start the timer.

Im a very dumb person, sorry.
not dumb in the slightest!
We all can not notice something like that, I've done it - not looked at how much BP I have and just randomly clicked the button and then clicked it again thinking it wasn't working properly, without realising I didn't have enough BP left.
-
This is not something reportable in game. It falls within the same definition that t-bagging does, whilst not great sportsmanship it's not against the rules either.

I dont think there will be an issue with it not receiving the support it needs.
The community as a whole is really excited about this. Now that we have it, we will support. It’s okay it is starting off small. That’s the smart thing to do. Less mess, less bugs. Add little by littleexactly our thoughts as well!
-
There are no plans to allow for the change of killer after Matchmaking has started, this is because killers have individual matchmaking therefore players could well queue up with their weaker killer to get against a team of weaker survivors and then switch to one of their better known killer. Matchmaking matches players in groups to try to get a more even match.
-
@DBO If you'd like to DM me with your ticket number I will be happy to pull the ticket.
-
This is going to be a first version of 2v8 - we will be making changes to it based on community feedback in future iterations

Countdown starts at 10.30am, Stream goes Live at 11.00am

Can confirm that we are not banning for filters and neither is EAC - they are in fact whitelisted by them, as are the Nvidia filters.
-
Twins do not have a higher kill rate than Skull Merchant (even when the recall timer was incorrect), please don't forget that the stats that you see online are not official and are not fully accurate. And definitely, given their usage percent, not every match is against Twins and / or Skull Merchant.
-
Exit Gate regression is something that we tested out a while ago and scrapped the idea, as it really felt awful to play against.
The point of the EGC is to end the game, so that survivors can't hide and hold the game out for the full hour. Now the killer can open the door to start the timer to end the match. It's not a mechanic that's there to help one side or the other. There's no plans on changing this either.

There is nothing you can do to stop people from being dicks. I had to learn that lesson the hard way too. When it happens, try to stay calm, report them and don't go out of your way to be a jerk. That's really the best advice I can give you.
Most people in this community really aren't that bad though. Many of us are quite friendly. The amount of positive interactions I've had in this game exceeds that of any other online game I've played so far.
I think one reason for this community's bad reputation is that we only remember the negative things and not forget all the nice moments.
The last sentence here, is something very true. We do remember the negative moments more than the positive ones, it seems to be human nature and that's pretty sad, we have a tremendous amount of lovely people in the community and I am sure they far outweigh the bad actors, just that our minds automatically focus on the negative ones.
Unfortunately, the internet allows people to behave in a specific way without repercussions and those that are inclined, take advantage of that fact.
I'd love if we can remove toxicity from gaming in general, they are supposed to be fun after all. Am welcome to hearing all ideas that people have for making this happen or at least improving how things feel.
-
There's no correlation between characters ownership or use with the rubberbanding issue, it's a nice theory but unfortunately not that simple. Not everyone has the rubberbanding, this is true - internet connection might play a part in it as well. It's not an easy issue I'm afraid :(

For me it's still there but it's happened like twice in an hour. Playing as chucky. It could get worse though, but i guess it's not fixed unfortunately. But i feel like it has improved slightly at least.
Was there any particular times it happened when playing Killer - ie was it when hooking, general, carrying survivors, using a lunge attack or using your power?

FYI - Switch players are still being matched with players from other platforms. Usually just 1 Survivor with a Globe indicating they are on another platform.
up until a couple of hours ago Windows Store was on 7.7.0 as well so they would have got matched with them also, until they fully update to 7.7.1.
-
What are your PC specifications, do they meet the minimum requirements as listed on the Steam Store?
-
Switch are on a separate version right now (7.7.0) until they receive the update later this week. Windows Store the update will appear shortly (sorry no exact time frame that I can give), until then players are on 7.7.0 and will not be able to crossplay with players on the 7.7.1 version.

Will Switch get it's Stranger Things and Ghostface DLC back this week?
It will be with the 7.7.1 update yes.
-
Do you have any video showing it happening, it would be super helpful?
Thank you

Quite a decent patch too, they've fixed alot of stuff. I'm guessing some of the devs were putting in the overtime hours on the weekend.
I think the BHVR policy on things like Crunch Time is pretty well known, so no.
Updates also have to go to the Platforms for Certifications, that's why it does take a bit longer.
-
There are no plans for voice communications within the game at all.
-
Right now our main focus has been the Strobing / Flashing light issue as well as the rubberbanding issue, the first one is completely resolved, and we're continuing to work on the latter. We will share more information as it becomes available.
-
The update is now live across all platforms to fix this issue with Strobing / flashing lights - thank you all for your patience and assistance.

Intense strobes of light and flashing. Not gonna lie - I had to take some migraine medicine. I’m very sensitive to light. I was so thankful this wasn’t happening to me and it started to sadly. My luck.
I'm so sorry you got sick from it, it's been the same for me with watching the videos, triggers migraines
Good news though is that an update should have gone out to PS players in the last 30 mins that should resolve the issue
-
We confirm Friday's tentative fix for the Strobing / Flashing Lights issue did indeed resolve the problem. We'll now submit this update (7.7.0A) for certification to all platforms. Most players can expect this within the next 48hrs (Switch might be slightly further out). Thank you so much for your patience.
We are also continuing to investigate the rubberbanding issue and will update with more information as soon as it becomes available.

I understand that. I was not expecting the game developers to be the ones providing solutions. I looked at the minimum processing core in the DBD stea page. I know Jack about processors, but I plugged them into a comparison tool and I got this:
https://www.cpu-monkey.com/es/compare_cpu-intel_core_i3_4170-vs-intel_core_i7_4790
My CPU seems to be about 6 months older, but otherwise has more cores, more threads, .05 more Gh in the GPU, more L3 cache, and take more power. I honestly don't see what makes mine worse than the minimums. If anyone else has an idea I'd love to hear it.I'm not sure why you thought your CPU was under the minimum specs, it's exceeds them CPU wise, so that's definitely not the issue you are having - I suggest checking your other hardware then troubleshoot for the issues you're having.
(whilst you may have had a similar crash to others, yours is definitely not due to your CPU being under the minimum specs!)

Oh snap, I didn't see that there was a new update! It would've been before today's update, at around 2 or 3am.
Thank you so much for confirming, hopefully with the update today you will no longer experience the issue.

- Steam/PC player. This happened to me once. I got a video of it as well (flashing lights warning, obviously: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6JrcaKIOYs). As I was dying, I alt tabbed out of my game to play music on Spotify (which is when my game audio briefly goes silent) and I unplugged my PS5 controller right before the strobing happen. Unsure if that's related!
Specs:
- Legion 5 15ARH05H laptop
- AMD Ryzen 7 4800H
- DDR4 32.0 GB
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
- Windows 10 Home
- DirectX version: 12https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/EX674P8U3RXN/deadbydaylight.log
- Also attaching my log file.
Did this happen after todays update or before?

Just to confirm something, the minimum requirements to run the game on PC have not changed - it's likely that some older PC's CPU's could still run the game, even though they didn't meet the minimum required system specifications.
with the exception of the Operating System I don't believe anything has changed on the minimum system requirements since 2016 when the game first launched. And whilst I appreciate your frustration and annoyance, I'm afraid that there's nothing we can assist with if your hardware doesn't meet the minimum required specifications.
