It's not a bug, the decision was made to stay with the FNAF lobby.

Hey,
is it possible that the bug is back? I know there are some server issues but I had two Artist matches and both ended in a server crash. Meanwhile, I played a Dredge match and a bunch of survivor matches against different killers (e.g. Ghoul, Wesker, Pyramid Head) and there were no server crashes.
I think so! But it would only be in the Event queue - team is already investigating.
-
This is an unfortunate side effect of the partial outage we're experiencing right now - accepting friend requests / invitations.

are there any basekit changes for springtrap planned?
cameras are useless and he has no viable way to deal with people using doors or even KNOW what is going on around the map because they can just randomly TP and you have no idea where they are.
this is the only killer I genuinely feel lost as because I cant keep track of survivor's positions around the map even generally when there's always a possibility they can just disappear through the door system.
This is not fun.
There's no current plans for any base changes, for right now we're happy with what we're seeing - it will still be monitored and see how that develops.

I don't think so.
It's still not as strong as the PTB version, and they saw the second version was too little, so they landed in the middle.
exactly this, we went for the middle ground between the two of them.

So i take it a double range addon nerf for pyramid head is in order? Because I mean i see those addons used a lot because the others aren't the best so.
used a lot - but do they massively increase the kill rate of the killer? It's not just a simple "it's used a lot" which is what I'm trying to explain.
-
@adam1233467 said:
because bhvr doesn't know how to balance killers addons anymore, they only see quantity, if people use a lot, it means it's op for them, simple as that.
the effect may be mediocre, but if there are a lot of people using it, they'll nerf it.
just to correct some misinformation there - whilst data on addons tells us what is preferred there's a bit more to it than "it's used a lot therefore needs a nerf" you have to take into consideration the kill rate with that addon used, and compare it to other addons used with it. What we're seeing with this particular addon is that it increased kill rates by a pretty high percentage, more than 6% which does show that there's likely some issue with it. So whilst you might feel the effect is mediocre, the reality is that something is more problematic than it appears at first glance.

The free trial is not currently enabled due to a few issues with it I'm afraid.
-
It should be okay now, if you do a game restart, ReShade should no longer be blocked

Sorry, i meant the personal kill and escape rates on the stats website. If it uses the tally screen for recent match history, does it use the tally screen for all other stats on there?
ahh okay, sorry for the misunderstanding. Yes it's looking like the personal data is using the tally screen information - not our internal data…so it won't accurately reflect what happened in that match if the abandon feature is used :(
-
@Coffeecrashing said:
I just want the official stat tracker to be fixed. The escape rate is broken because of the abandon button.
That's not going to be part of this hotfix unfortunately, that's going to take longer as it means changing the in-game tally screen etc as that's where the data is coming from.
-
@OrangeBear said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3955360#Comment_3955360
Does that mean the kill rates and escape rates are affected by abandon?
no they are not, as if the survivor uses the "abandon" feature it is counted as a kill on our data.
-
@OmegaXII said:

Wait.. that means Abandon now is basically treated as DC, but without penalty. So the result of said matches are all invalidated?
Oh man what a bad way to implement the system LOL.
Not on our stats its not - to clarify that the stats we use internally are not affected by the Tally Screen (we track it differently), the website API uses the tally screen to track match data.

thanks for the confirmation Mandy! can we expect the hotfix tomorrow or thursday? or can you not discuss that at the moment?
Its tentatively planned for tomorrow - that could change, but I would expect tomorrow to be the day
-
There's not currently any plans to do a specific upgrade for Switch 2 - the game runs the same as it does on the original Switch. We will of course take the feedback of the interest to the team, but this is not a guarantee that this will be in our plans.
-
There is not going to be a hotfix today, today is Canada Day so whilst we were off yesterday there is still a lot of people off today as well.
-
Whilst you might not like the behaviour - this is not holding the game hostage as survivors are on a bleedout timer and it's NOT reportable - please do not waste the time on our Support staff which is then delaying correct reports.
(edited the title to reflect that none of this is reportable behaviour)

The only thing I can think of off hand is that PS plus is that your online PS+ has run out with Sony. Other than that we do not have the tools to help on this platform, you would need to contact Player Support or Sony PS Support directly.
-
We have temporarily disabled the free character trials, due to a bug that was allowing players to prestige the characters.
-
So whilst the number of cakes throughout any level has dropped slightly from last year - the issue was particularly relevant with Level 50 bloodwebs where often there were none of the offerings available, this is what we addressed.
-
Unfortunately, regardless of the way the system works now or before - you would have received DC penalties for leaving matches.
As harsh as it may sound, you're also ruining the match for the 4 other players so we do expect you to resolve your internet issues before continuing to play the game. We do have empathy, but we have it for all affected players, and there's 4 other players in that match who do not have internet problems but are also penalised because one dc'd.
-
Anon mode does not affect the ability to report a player or protect them from accountability in any way. As long as you've made an in-game report and sent video evidence to Support, the person you are reporting is handled exactly the same way whether they are on Anon or not.

ummm March 2025 in fact
so please refer to that data, as that's the current up to date information :)

Quick question: Why do the "official" stats leave off the lowest MMR? We don't see any numbers until 500-600, so why don't we see, like… 1 MMR? What's wrong with those numbers? (Why can't we see them?)
nothing is wrong with the numbers, it's just that those are the numbers of the very new players so not super relevant as those players MMR increases relatively quickly.
-
Will say, these stats are nowhere near accurate (yes I checked the stats). I''m guessing they're even more inaccurate than they used to be due to a smaller sample size given that personal stats are now available…so don't all start to panic that kill rates have dropped, they really haven't.
-
Thanks for the support in this thread everyone, it's heartwarming. I will close it here, as I don't want this to devolve into something else entirely! <3
-
You would really need to check the specs of your system, if you do not have a dedicated GPU for example you are relying on the intel built in graphics, which we do not support.
Steam is a great option as you can refund the game if you are unable to run it on your system.
-
Legacy is never coming back, it's something we've said time and time again. Legacy will remain for those that earned it back in the very early days of the game.
-
I'm sorry but there's nothing you can do on your side to prevent the crash - there's should be a a fix in the hotfix planned for tomorrow to address the issue.
Whilst DbD is compatible with Switch 2 and currently runs without this crash issue, as it does on the original Nintendo Switch, at this time there are no plans for platform specific enhancements for the Switch 2 itself.
-
It was actually designed working in conjunction with one of our Consultants who is deaf…so it most definitely was designed for players who are deaf & hard of hearing.
-
As someone who uses Deli in their build, I'm very well aware of how strong the perk is and how much of a risk / reward it is. Having it active on 2nd hook would be extremely overpowered.
There's a specific way you play if you're running perks such as Deliverance and you need to play super carefully until the perk is active, then you can definitely play aggressively if the situation requires it. The killer effectively loses the pressure of having a survivor hooked when hooking someone who has deliverance active, as no other survivor needs to get off a gen so there should be a minimum of two survivors working gens (allowing for one in chase), that's a lot of pressure from the survivor side. It buys the team side a lot of time. -
Usually these types of posts start to turn heated so I'm going to come in straight away to say we have no plans to add voice chat whatsoever, so it's extremely unlikely it will ever come into DbD.

Devs most likely already have idea of how they are going to change it to work better. All new things will have growing pains and there is problems with them but if people don't understand how it supposed to work and then don't even bother reporting the possible bug I don't know what anyone can do about that. I already wrote that this system most likely has some bugs as there is odd crow spawning happening time to time like when working on a gen (seen videos of it). Still we don't have any info about it as it seems to happen to people who don't try to find what caused it. I would have reported any crow bug I would have experienced but so far as I don't get the crows really at all there has not been odd behavior of the system. Also we don't know if the crow spawning is really there or if its some bug that only shows it to the survivor in question and nobody else would even see it. I am not dismissing anyones concerns but just stating my own experience.
I have to admit that I will wait for the devs to do their changes and then see how it works afterwards. Its most likely pointless to speculate before that how it would be made better.
That's not actually a bug, that's due to the points building up over say 55s and then the 5s on a gen is not enough to begin to lower the point build up, so the crow appears - keep working the gen and it will very shortly disappear again.
-
Do not worry - this is a feature that was added previously! (not the part about not saving the loadout but the perk / addon being equipped). If it's the first times you're playing that character, the system automaticlally equips things for you.

Just saying:
Twitch exists.
You could have someone that's being paid go look at some stream recordings instead of expecting free labor from your player base.
Not everyone is on these forums to get this "hey, jump through a hoop for us" message. Even if you just flip through the socials of some of your notable content creators, that should give you enough evidence to work with.
Not trying to sound argumentative, but as yet we've not seen one video where players have received crows through normal gameplay - we've not replicated in our tests, nor on our own games on Live, nor have our Creators. That's why we need this video , we need to see the lead up to when crows were gotten. Without having some hard evidence that there is a problem here, we are very limited in what we can do.

So it says you are considered afk after 10 seconds of not interacting. Interacting with what? Does that mean specifically gens? If I'm going for a save across the map will it start counting me as afk?
I believe there's a confusion with the wording - you won't get crows until after 60s have passed. They do not appear immediately at all, so you need to have not been progressing the game or within range of the killer for some time before you get any AFK crows.

I remember your comment about how killers doing those things will readjust to an mmr where it won't be necessary, and I agree! I want to ask, are there any plans for other toxic or unfun killer strategies, like more 3 gen restrictions or potentially even respawning pallets
no plans for either of those things. We're satisfied that the 3 gen system is doing exactly what it's designed to and stopping the egregious cases of 3 genning. And pallets are not an infinite resource they are designed to be used once in a trial (or more if not broken), but once broken they will stay broken and not respawn.

Hello there, whilst I appreciate the love for the old DbD animations etc, we have moved on from those - it's not that we don't discuss the topic. The game has moved on, there's been many changes made over the years and things have developed a lot and still might develop in the future, but no we won't go back to the way the old animations were, they were far less fitting of the game than the ones we have now.
-
We're having some server issues right now, the team is aware and investigating
-
Can you try restarting the game to see if the option pops up again?
-
This is not a bug. Mettle of Man deactivates when you go into the Dying State, therefore the perk is working as intended.

Hi Mandy! Will keep an eye out for you! Just curious though, are you happy with the current state of the game?
Yes I am, I've played this game since day 1 back in 2016 and I think it's in the healthiest position its ever been in balance wise - and I've played both sides of the game for many many years now. There's always going to be some issues with the game, same as any game, and we're addressing those this year with the slugging / tunneling / "go next" things that we have planned.

Yeah no that was someone using an unlocker tool. Always report on sight.
Also, what does it matter the "Dev" didn't survive that game. Are you saying dev must win at all times?not necessarily, a few of us play on Live very regularly
-
That's not a bug, there should not be an interaction with Merciless Storm and Undone, Undone works off regular skill checks not the special skill checks caused from perks.
