Usually when I see Russian names.
-
Because I don't like rolling the dice on whether I get grouped with competent survivors that do the objectives or survivors that crouch and hide while the killer is actively chasing someone else.
-
Pinhead - Engineer's Fang
His possessed chain is quite garbage, it's essentially a Nurse blink except that it doesn't teleport you to it and (without the add on) doesn't even injure survivors. In the best case scenario it barely wins you any distance over the survivor, with the only saving grace is that it prevents Dead Hard and fast/medium vaults if doesn't already break by the time you get there. But at times it's not even worth the risk to gain that marginal distance since it can make you lose distance more than you would otherwise gain.

That is true, night shroud is a cool ability, however the cd got nerf. And I personally do not prefer stalking. I like jump-scaring survivors with night shroud. And as you said, his core gameplay is night shroud which should remain if it ever got reworked.
I mean if you like to just hit people out of stealth then Wraith is a better choice, he's essentially stronger than Ghostface right now in almost every respect. Stalking should be a a defining gameplay element for Ghostface, but he needs better 1v4 to offset the time it needs to sneak up and stalk someone. Like downing a marked survivor should make every generator being worked on explode and regress for some amount.

I totally agree with you. There lies the problem of GhostFace's core game play. Stalking is distressing and needs to be deleted.
Honestly I like his play style a lot, I like sneaking up on survivors and stalking them. The problem is his base cooldown on Night Shroud is still too high and his add-ons are garbage, they don't need a numbers tweak but a complete rework.
-
When the game mechanics involve god pallets/windows and incredibly safe loops with little mindgame potential, I'm pretty glad Nurse gets to ignore all of that.
-
They could make Night Shroud a 15s cooldown as base kit and he'd still be a mediocre killer.
-
I see absolutely no reason to run this over Unbreakable, even with the ability to do it more than once, how often do you come across a medkit on the ground as a slug?
-
I still am, but I'm almost exclusively playing Nurse.

I mean tbf Nurse complaints are valid. At least Spirit plays the game, Nurse doesn’t.
When the game is littered with incredibly safe loops and god pallets. I'm glad she doesn't.

Nurse
It’s the only killer that has control over the chase, where it’s about your skill and not the survivor making mistakes. Where you get to ignore all the safe bullshit loops and god pallets.

Nurse is the only killer in the game that needs to be nerfed in my opinion.
She takes considerably more skill to play than any other killer and survivor for that matter, don’t see she needs a nerf when (after the spirit nerf) she’s the only killer that can effectively go against the highest tier of survivors, possibly including Blight.
-
Just learn to play Nurse, it'll make you happier in the long run.
-
Unless the survivor is still a few yards away from the exit boundary and you manage to close the distance before they get to it, don't expect much from this.
-
Killers already have to invest a lot of time chasing you down if you know what to do, including time invested to pick you up and get you to a hook. Making this worse will only encourage slugging.
-
Remove everything except the add-ons that give bonus blood points in exchange for handicapping your power. Everything else is too much for casual survivors.
-
Deadlock should at least prevent gens from popping in quick succession.
-
It’s a pretty therapeutic killer, knowing that a survivor that t-bags and spams flashlight clicks can just be face camped to death.

@Maliken I hope so as well! Yeah, I suggested a few add-ons for downing marked survivors. Though, it's hard because the kind of sensation add-ons like that is very in the realm of what perks do, much like how the Outdoor Security Camera you mentioned is similar to Barbecue and Chili. However, I would debate the Security Camera should stay the way it is, as it is a perfectly good add-on that gives a strong effect, while simultaneously rewarding the player for excellent gameplay.
Do you or anyone else have suggestions for potential effects for downing a marked survivor?
There's the obvious choice of refreshing the cooldown on Night Shroud, but something that would help his 1v4 would be nice as well. Like giving a tremendously difficult skillcheck to every generator being worked on, if not a straight up explosion (small regression).
-
Dead Hard
Borrowed Time
Unbreakable
Decisive Strike
Have fun winning.
-
I would hope BHVR would do a pass on his add-ons like this, and the base cooldown of Night Shroud certainly needs to be lowered.
Other than what was suggested, add-ons that reward downing marked survivors would be nice. Like Outdoor Security Camera should last longer and also include survivors within terror radius.
-
On maps like Midwich, sure. Often enough hex totems are right next to generators or in some instances within 8 meters of where I spawn in as survivor.

How is franklins meta on cenobite? I think it's kinda bad, theoretically. If you grab the box after injuring the carrier. The box instantly respawns whilst you are chasing that person. That's bad, you wanna down that person so you can capitalise on the chain hunt more.
It depends on the situation. If you’re going against a fully healthy survivor that’s good at prolonging chases, or you happen to be in Gideon’s with a half dozen god pallets then you’re going to wish you had Franklin’s.
On top of that it’s generally nice to have when you go against teams fully decked with medkits or they have a key.
-
It wouldn’t be a tremendous issue if killers could see the aura of the boon totem, but it’s kind of much to ask for one player to roam around the map to do this on top of doing their objective on time as opposed to when four players can do it.

Nothing forces you to play Nurse. You will be matched with the survivors that are adequate to skill level that gets you 2 kills on average.
Your argument is basically “lol the game has a system of ELO ratings now so its perfectly balanced”

If you think nurse is the only killer that can compete against good survivors, then you probably need to actually get better with your killers. And I'm not buying your statement of 2000+ hours.
Do you see any other killers than Nurse and (pre-nerf) Spirit?

What does that have to do with being balanced?
Does being forced to play Nurse after reaching a certain threshold in MMR strike you as ‘perfectly balanced’?

Look at the other asymmetrical multiplayer games competitive scene... look, nothing!
Nobody is arguing that DBD is the exception in that genre, but don’t tell me the game is “perfectly balanced” when it inherently can’t
When (after the Spirit nerf) only Nurse and possibly Blight have a viable chance at high levels of MMR, it should be obvious that a lot more work can be done to balance things.
-
Look at DBDs competitive scene (or lack thereof compared to other major games) to answer that question.
-
I’d love for her to get an add-on that inflicted exhaustion on a successful phantasm attack.
-
Blight, then Nurse. Until there is nothing that can even remotely compete with high MMR survivors.

👀. Specifically, injured survivors still leave scratch marks and blood pools.
Blood isn't visible for Spirit unless she has an add-on and scratch marks have a delay so they can't be relied on for precise tracking.

I started learning Nurse one year ago after being stomped by swfs. No regrets.
Today I just expanded my arsenal and Spirit is my second killer.
Go for it. 😋
After the changes to Spirit, might as well stick to Nurse again.
-
Welp, now high MMR survivors can enjoy going up against just Nurse and Blight.
-
Might as well remove the invisibility from Spirit and let her see survivors during phase.

1) Use your eyes and ears, Myers has loud footsteps and breathes loudly
2) You can't really, 360 is your best option but being in this situation is more the survivor's fault, going to a dead zone against a Blight is a death sentence
3) Sharp turns, tiles such as 4 lanes are your best friend in this situation
4) Run through pallets, most Plagues will respect pallets with Corrupt Purge, if they don't respect, try to pallet stun her as that removes it.
Spirit? Run around like a headless chicken and hope she misses her lunge. Spirit is the outlier here, again, due to the fact that she gives 0 feedback on what she's doing, she goes completely invisible and makes a non directional sound cue, all other killers give visual feedback as to what they are doing at the bare minimum.
There's plenty of guesswork involved for Spirit unless you're facing a survivor that just holds Shift+W and runs across grass. Might as well make Spirit completely visible, and have her be able to see survivors during phase if people are so frustrated by 'coin flips'.
-
Here's a tip for you, the chains spawn in bursts of three before there's a short period where they don't spawn. Wait until after the third one spawned and then start solving the box.

Survivor: None.
BNP is probably the strongest, but in the end, it is not really that strong (like, 25% are not that much, considering that the Killer can reduce this amount multiple times each game by using PGTW) and it is basically the only strong thing left for Survivors when it comes to Toolboxes. Before the Toolbox-Nerf there were almost no complaints about BNPs, now people complain when it is the only thing left for Toolboxes which is somewhat good. But BNP did not become better, the rest just became #########.
Killer:
All-Seeing Blood (Wraith)
Tombstone Piece, Fragrant Tuft of Hair (Myers)
Mint Rag (Hag)
Tampered Timer (Pig)
Pinky Finger (Clown)
Mother-Daughter Ring (Spirit)
Black Incense (Plague)
Scalped Topknot (Oni)
Alchemists Ring (100%), Blighted Crow, Blighted Rat (maybe those two as well) (Blight)
Engineers Fang (Pinhead)
Spotted the survivor main.

I’m not surprised the survivors whose only skill is to hold m1 at gens are crying right now.

The Trickster. Better than anything you'll find in Cyberpunk 2077 at least...
Incorrect.
-
Sure. If they made Deerstalker base kit for killers, every game there’s survivors down on the ground that make no sound because of the bug that’s been there for years now.
-

I like to look at it from the Wolfenstein difficulty perspective.
Most killers land in "Bring 'em on"
Difficult killers like Nurse land in "I am death incarnate"
Then there's Spirit. Spirit is the only killer on the "Can I play, Daddy?" difficulty.
Apart from the standstill mindgame, Spirit is not that easy to play.
-
When combined with Thanotophobia it’s a pretty solid perk.

That doesn’t make her fair. Nurse can literally ignore every defence survivors have and have mobility aswell as amazing perk synergy
Spirit ignores survivor counterplay by not giving info and has a stupidly good set of add ons all for a low skill floor
I never understood 'low skill floor' when all but just a few killers in the entire roster are easier to play than Spirit.

Which other ones would you consider higher tier? I would argue hag just because she focuses on her web and 3 genning if the game goes bad 🤔
Hag is certainly top tier, but one of her strengths is survivors not knowing how to play against her. At high levels you'll see survivors actively harass you from setting up a web and they'll be able to trigger traps right at the edge and immediately 180 out of there.
-
Might as well make Deerstalker basekit too for killers then, with how often survivors don't make any sound when they are slugged. How many years has that bug been in the game now?
-

Less dead hard means more sprint burst. Lesser of two evils.
Sprint Burst means nothing to S tier killers like Nurse, Spirit, Blight and Hag.
-
From my personal experience, I prefer the other add-on (tp range, trap setup, trap duration) over Rusty Shackles since the shackles don’t cause the survivor’s camera to spin, which helps a lot with the instant teleport hits.
I also noticed a lot more instadown value from Agitation+Starstruck compared to MYC.

Then they will switch to Sprint Burst and Killers will complain about Sprint Burst. Which is actually stronger and makes every Deadzone safe, because you will reach a Pallet, since Sprint Burst actually provides Distance.
Sprint Burst is nowhere near as good compared to Dead Hard when you go against S tier killers such as Nurse, Spirit, Blight and Hag.
With SBMM, these are the only killers you’ll see at the top level.
