  • This is behavior. They really seem to hate the idea of killers having perks. I mean look at this. They actually just made a worse sloppy and a self countered stealth perk that also let's the whole survivor team know to stop the gen regression once it goes dark. If anything they'll probably nerf his legion perk just to make sure there's litterally nothing gained perk wise for so much as a single killer. Nerfing potentially useful killer perks out of existence is what they did for deathslinger. Why wouldn't they just do it again?

  • Stopped being nice to survivors after trying to learn nurse. Survivors never play nice so why should I? Let the NOED flow!

  • Honestly legendary skins sound like they'll primarily be for licensed characters. An easy way to make an extra buck off liscence deals without having to make a full set of perks to go with it. Probably costs then less for a skin liscence than a full character as well if I could hazard a guess.

  • I don't know why they have hemorrhage addons to begin with. Like, useless status effect much? Unless they plan on completely reworking hemorrhage I'm surprised it's not on a forgettable brown addon.

  • Sounds interesting hope we get a werewolfy at some point. Seems like you're version would be pretty fun too. Switching between sneaksy and big wolfy boy sounds like a fun mechanic.

Your perks are actually good, useful, balanced additions by the looks of it as well which I like. The devs giving killer good perks is probably a complete pipe dream at this point but it's a nice set.

Yes, but say the survivors DID all spawn near blocked gens. If you take the risk to go and check then you are no longer patrolling gens that can be worked on and thus allowing the other survivors to take advantage of that. Instead of doing that, continue to patrol the unblocked gens and their immediate area. Best case scenario you get a down within range of the 3-4 gens, meaning you can pressure those gens and make progress on hooks. Worst case scenario, the survivors hide for 2 mins because you don't allow them to work on the center gens. Neither of you accomplished anything. Not a great use of the perk, obviously, but at least neither you or the survivor have made progress.

BONUS: if you are Trapper, Hag or Freddy, you had plenty of time to trap the center of the map. Yay!

Ever run whispers with corrupt? Survivors wandering around the area is litterally standard play. Unprotected gens are too far away from survivor spawns for them to be on them right away before you can find someone on a blocked gen. I've litterally never run into someone early on the unblocked gens. Never.

  • Because survivors 99% of the time all spawned next to blocked gens. It's the same reason a killer always appears on atleast one of the gens someone spawned and worked on. Predictable spawn locations.

    Perk 1

Protect hit activation is unrealistic and infrequent. On this rare occasion a perk will punish this by 30 seconds of not healing...

Tell me honestly when will a killer abandon this person ? Won't they just chase them down for 30 seconds ?

Won't the survivor choose not to heal and just do a gen if left alone so the affect is useless ?

I get that its an anti bodyblock perk but its not going to work with any other perks and I can't think of a killer that this helps.

The problem with these perks is that it isn't effective and doesn't work on other killers much less PH

    Perk 2

Tell me honestly. Whats the point of a stealth perk when on use it reveals you ? Only lasts 15 seconds and takes minutes to come back. Not to mention to activate it you have to have a gen to kick... who's to say you will find one partly done after your cooldown ? Think about how empty and weak the affect is and how often you would need conditions to line up perfectly to even use it more then 2 or 3 times in a match.

    Perk 3

A scream reveal outside of 32m means they have 12 seconds full speed to be gone before a killer gets there.

Paired with nurses calling at best you always know when healing is happening this could be useful but I feel like its got to many drawbacks and counters

I can't think of a reason to use them when as killer I'm ever so desperate for gen slowdown or pressure relief. This also does nothing against these tank build surviors that can take honest 4 hits in a row before going down. BT medkit sryn-DH-DS -and the new perk that gives endurance after heals #########. On a mend killer maybe 5 hits some matches ? #########

The absolute biggest thing against Penance? Sloppy exists already and isn't conditional.

  • Killer perks are def terrible. Alternative versions of perks we already have tgat either counter themselves or are super niche situations you can't control and still do the job worse than perks we already have. Death bound might be a maybe though to be honest hopping on the same gen as someone I healed is indeed pretty common. We don't need knockoff sloppy that would be worse even if it applied on every hit instead of niche hits that only really happen in swf. We certainly don't need to bring a free perkslot for the survivors either.

Survivor perks are all great, I can see all of them being run frequently. The obsession visibility ones probably the worst but even it is still useable enough. Get that STBFL counter perk along with an info perk. Also great vs dying light not that anyone runs it.

  • Ya anyone who doesn't see the potential is crazy. Seriously there are so many times as survivor I've wished I could protect my hard fought center gen from endless pops. I'll probably be running this perk quite frequently as I tend to go for the more risky gens early to get them out of the way. I expect it to be atleast somewhat meta.

  • I love this post, sarcasm at its finest.

  • The broken one is even worse for just being an unreliable niche version of sloppy butcher, a perk that litterally fills it's "niche" already if you can even call it that, already. Honestly penance would only be okay even if it applied to every basic attack, probably still outdone by sloppy. Main reason, broken just means go work on gens while sloppy actively slows survivors and isn't wasted if you hook them. This whole protection hit condition makes the perk litterally pointless. Considering they are essentially the same perk I can only imagine this is what sloppy would look like if it was released today. Conditional to the point of uselessness.

  • It's stuff like this that stopped me from giving people hatch anymore. Survivors are never merciful when faced with a baby nurse, huntress, ect so why should I be merciful one sidedly?

I do pretty well with him at r1. The game slows to a halt in that last gen. He needs at least 2 traps at base though for sure. Brown bag should be base

Ya he can function but he has a LOT of things he has to worry about that most killers don't have to deal with. He's absolutely bloated with counter everything's. Any slot a survivor has can hold something to counter him independently and that should really be tweaked. Addon dependant for sure, bags being mandatory so he has only one addon slot.

  • I believe you described trapper in a nutshell pretty well. He's a pretty old killer so he has a very counterable power and multiple perks are anti trapper perks. Perks to find your traps, items to show your traps, perks to get out of your traps. Offerings to get out of your traps even. He's got a lot going against him and he's simply designed for a much slower paced game than we have.

  • @Peanits said:

That's a bug fix. It was not working as intended before and now they are.

No compensation for the clear nerf though? A large nerf too. It's not like the addon description doesn't specify that it's only the first. Bug fix my ass.

  • Pyramids kit looks cool, his perks are hot garbage though. Depending in how long the gen one lasts maxes it could maybe be useful, maybe. Of course the survivor perks are pretty godly because why the hell wouldn't they be. I swear the devs hate killers and want all killer perks to be trash.

  • If it was a killer perk I'd expect massive changes before release. It's a survivor perk though so rolling unbreakable and alternative borrowed time into one perk is probably here to stay. Ugh

  • Never played the games but pyramid head is legendary regardless. Glad he was the one!

  • Amaizing. He might actually be decent now.

  • Oof. I'm going to despise this perk as killer. I swear survivors get stronger perks than killers. More god mode for survivors to be cancer with, ugh.

  • He was definitely the one I was looking forward to the most.

  • Omg is it really? That's amazing news! I had hopes but sure didn't expect it!

I think moonwalking is pretty interesting but I guess I kinda agree here. I mostly disagree that Spine Chill is boring because without it all stealth encounters would be exactly the same.

Sprint burst is still a better counter to stealth than spinechill. If a whole team is running spinechill as a stealth it's not a big deal. Mildly annoying moon walking constantly but it won't counter you. If the entire team is using Sprint burst I may as well afk as a stealth killer.

What's boring about Spine Chill? How can you tell a survivor is running it?

That's easy, if they run away before you get there, especially as a stealth killer and you don't even get to hear repairs. Even as a non stealth it's pretty obvious as they are extra skittish. Usually someone only gets one freebie with it and then I start moon walking to gens. Walking backwards is annoying though so I'll second that.

As for the thread. BBQ on everyone ever.

  • Rank 20 matches take awhile. Once you hit 15 or so lobby waits should decrease dramatically.

I just played a game to check, White Ward is working as intended. I had an item with addons, played White Ward, escaped, and I kept the item and its addons. There was a fix to it in the last release.

Is there something else going wrong with it?

I think it's just people not running white ward so never realized it changed. Can confirm as well it works fine for me.

I never said the opposite its just its really unfun for survivors its like whenever i get a green or purple addons in my bloodweb i don't ever wanna use it because i know i won't get 1 again in maybe 20 bloodwebs , at leats killers know that after maybe 2 bloodwebs they will get their stuff back easily

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1301450#Comment_1301450

BBQ say hi so no survivors can't and even without BBQ KILLERS EASILY GET MORE

90 % of survivors items are crap in general and good ones are crap without decent addons , addons that you cannot found into chest mid match unless you take a perk that isnt even this good and really that doenst guarantee you will even get anything decent , even more those items you get "mid match" are always poop quality i don't even bother looking into chest anymore unless i have a chest build or i have nothing better to do

If you want better items in match there are perks for that. A plunders can get you a lot of purples, pharmacy garenteed green medkits. I've farmed a lot of yellow medkits even without perks. I'm pretty lucky, got 9+ of those on some of my characters. Survivors do have a bbq equivalent, I run it quite often. Worse than bbq but it's a survivor perk so it shouldn't be as good.

  • Good survivors absolutely can get as many blood points and while survivors bloodwebs have more in them a bunch of those they can keep using indefinitely until death and be acquired mid match to save bp by acquiring them without cost.

  • If you know the killer knows where the hatch is camp an exit gate. If you have spinechill you might pull off a clutch escape.

  • Killers still lose addons so I don't see the problem with survivors also losing addons.

  • You can't but it's pretty safe to assume everyone has an exhaustion perk and probably multiple with ds, borrowed time, and unbreakable. But ya boil over is meh though super annoying for the killer. Not like wiggle off good but annoying. You just had bad luck probably going against killers without much else as far as perks go.

  • Ya she's good, having game slowdown baseline is nice helps a lot if you don't have pop. She's sneaky, decent at loops. She's pretty perk reliant on atleast whispers preferably monitor as well. Find it really hard to fit bbq on her for bp farming.

  • Isn't there a window in the room the totem is in? Hard to tell exactly where you are.

  • Depends how it's implemented. Aliens have been portrayed in a lot of ways from movies to video games. Not to mention all the varieties of sub breeds. Most likely it's long whip like tail would probably be one of the primary focuses of its power in dbd as I presume wall walking is out. Having a long range melee able to hit past pallets and over some loops could be interesting. Probably give him a speedy crawl for low visibility too.

  • Greens definitely should never be matched with reds let alone all out like that. But ya, expect it every match. It's actually improved slightly lately, I get less reds in purple than the never ending swarm I got in green.

  • It would be nice if rbt gave more points. Especially for a kill it's just 500. Sometimes people try to disconnect to avoid beartrap deaths and that actually rewards me more points than them actually dieing to it.

  • I don't need to imagine it, I went through it. This matchmaking is ######### though it does seem to have improved slightly this week. I've been seeing more purples in my killer games and my red rank survivor games have been mostly against reds for once instead of endless greens and yellow.

  • Ya ran into a speed hacker yesterday. Guy could just run me in deadzones all day on haddonfield. Just waltzed by every pallet and vault. Not making any distance despite being the race of the w key and nothing else as a 115% made it pretty obvious. Ironically ended up getting him when he finally decided to try windows and pallets presumably just for the bp. Facecamped him to death. He shoulda just stuck with his W key.

  • Honestly wish I had played during that time. Needing two perks to make her stealth competitive is a lot of bloody slots. It works but it really reduces her build variety. Shouldn't need perks to make someones power good. It's bad enough when it's mandatory addons on other characters.

  • I think you are taking stealth too far. I'm a stealth player, I drop chases using dance with me, lithe fixated. Steath can be used to disengage as well as prevent engagement. You can also quietly repair generators with technician and trust me, as a killer you know what range you can hear repairs. If you see niether scratch nor hear anything the likelihood you'll get a chase out of going all the way to the gen is pretty low. Killer is unlikely to spend much time searching which both reduces your likelihood of getting caught and gets you back on the gen faster. As long as you know what you are doing you can both do gens and simultaneously convince a killer there's no one currently in the area. You help your team by doing gens while the killer makes no progress from situations that would usually at least give them a pallet or injury. Unfortunately while evader gives a lot of credit for stealth its not a blood point generator which sucks.

  • I think she's the best early killer someone can pick up. She doesn't need any teachables to do well, for the most part generics are amaizing on her and you can work with surveillance. Sloppy, whispers surveillance being solid with a final of choice makes her extremely accessible as her gen slowdown is baseline not trapped endlessly in pop, surge, or ruin. New players should definitely pick her up if they want to have fun decently long games quickly. As for long term players I dunno, I'm still years away from having a decent perk list and am yet to wallet warrior for pop. Mostly because clown was dead on arrival and still is dead so giving money to the devs for him sounds like promoting cancer.

I strongly believe her place in tier lists is HEAVILY determined by how many or how few slowdown perks someone has. The better the slowdown perk, the less relevant her primary benefit is so people rate her lower because they could just play another more lethal killer with pop and still get the game length they want.

  • Myers is a fun boy. Stabby Stabby. Think he's in a solid place. If you play well, you can win, if you don't you lose. Pretty much how it is with most killers. Average killer well worth playing.

  • All I have no idea what the weird boxed X in the title is. By the sounds of it you might be talking about one of the Azarovs that is capital i shaped. Honestly it's my favorite map as both killer and survivor, hope it never changes. Having a map shape creating strategic plays for both sides makes it the most interesting map in the game. Wish more maps were like it instead of box, box and box.

Think it's size is fine. It's needs some length to work as a good choke point and it's also packed full of survivor tiles so both sides can play around it a lot. That passage is what makes the map actually interesting.

Her traps aren't scary, and they're only good for slowing the game down, but it's luck based, survivors can get it off first try. Her power is great for starting chases, but during chases it's awful. She has absolutely no map control and her power is just a worse version of the Wraith.

Her traps not being scary is definitely a shame but that doesn't mean they aren't functional. You should pretty much always be bringing 5 traps and/or 5 boxes so they can really drag the game out. Ironically she actually benefits from larger maps and is extremely weak on small ones so continued changes to map sizes could cripple her if they aren't careful. Hopefully they'll do something to compensate her if they keep shrinking maps. Trying to play her on The Game for example is like not having a power. As for the ambush it depends on the loop, it's an aweful way to initiate a chase but a spectacular way to end it. Still her stealth and slowdown is definitely the best parts of her kit. She's also a little pay to win given how much her cosmetics give an ingame advantage by camouflageing as a survivor. It actually does have an effect in match, especially early. Just another no red stain female survivor urban evading to work on the gen. Nothing to see here. Even funnier when one run up for heals which has happened a few times.

  • How in the blazes is pig F?

  • So I can hook your unhooker, and their unhooker, and so on for a perfect sacrifice game.

  • I'll proxy camp till the end of days in mu nice little three gen with you hooked in the centre :P

  • Fixated and whispers.

  • A very very weird list. Having the easy mode powerhouse of Forever Freddy near the bottom is just weird.
