The only thing that needs a nerf is Alchemist Ring for Blight. I am amazed they nerfed Flask of Bleach and Pinky Finger on Clown but left this Blight addon untouched. Bit of a ######### moment really
-
Honestly it used to bug me but I no longer care as there are a lot of reasons people do it. If I get Twins or Trickster I admit I just take the 5 minute penalty, so I cant be angry if someone else does it too. I will still try to salvage all the points and maybe even a pip out of the match

That top pic is quite hot... not a huge fan of playing her or going against her but I respect the design here, they really did a great job with her

Hex perks are mostly quite strong so they come with some RNG based risk. You have to accept that risk or don't run Hex perks. Experienced survivors know where totems spawn too, so there is that to consider as well.
Personally, I do not like perks that my opponents can deny me of, so I try to avoid running hex perks for the most part. I do sometimes risk Ruin or Devour and Devour can be awesome the rare occasion that it actually works.
-
Not at all, I don't give them any special treatment either way but I actually would prefer to not eliminate them early, as I quite like going back and watching their VOD's of our match from their perspective. I learn a lot from watching to see where I went wrong and what I could have done better or what I did well
-
NOED rewards failure, simple as that.
It is a crutch mostly used by bad killers in public matches to compensate for failure to complete gens.
Survivors have plenty of crutch perks too but by far the cheapest and biggest killer crutch is NOED
-
I earned enough to P3 a survivor (Adam) who was already P1 lvl 1 and finished Kate to P3 50 (she was already P2 50). Probably did a bit more than that but honestly the grind is so much even with 1.5 it is hard to notice too much progress. I still don't have all perks P3 50 on any character and I am around 2500 hours into the game :/

Don't worry, I heard the devs are planning on working on it, but it might take until September of 2027 until it reaches live.
Yeah it may take a while the the key rework did but it needs to happen as the perk has become a real problem. I remember when old Ruin was being used in over 80% of matches by killers so they decided it needed to be nerfed/reworked. When I play killer I am shocked when a survivor doesn't have DH these days.
Not sure how it would be reworked but obviously it needs to be looked at and if it isn't survivor queues are going to be even more horrible than they are now.
-
Well I personally added to the killer player pool since I don't want to wait 10 minutes for games. But even then I can't do it some days and I just put up with the stupidly long survivor queues. The queues are the worst they have been for years for me and the only reason would be not enough killers as matchmaking is all over the place as if MMR doesn't exist
-
Well the biggest problem he always had is that survivors can deny him his power for an extended amount of time by playing ultra safe and not giving him any easy hits. He is still pretty strong though, at least once he gets the ball rolling but boons definitely hurt him (COH in particular of course)
-
Teabagging is literally mocking and disrespecting your opponent, I mean it is to simulate squatting and rubbing your b*** in their face. How is a killer not meant to find this insulting and disrespectful?
If you want to teabag you should be fine with being camped, tunnelled or bled out

Yes, I would confidently say it is cheating. You are dishonestly and unfairly stretching your resolution to gain an advantage.
Exactly.
And anyone who says it looks better is just gaslighting those blessed with the gift of sight - clearly it looks awful and the more stretched the resolution, the worse it looks.
It gives you a FOV advantage your opponents do not have unless they are running stretched too. So of course it is cheating, maybe low level cheating but still cheating

It's not necessarily a loss if a survivor runs to an empty part of the map. For instance if you have a decent 3-4 gen scenario... you would be crazy to give that up as a killer. The minute you run too far you could lose 2 of those gens in a chase, thanks to meta perks. So dropping that chase is immediately a net gain or a stalemate because you wont lose your gen setup. Remember you're playing for kills.
You have added a 3 gen to strawman my argument - if you have a 3 gen you have already forced your opponent into a match losing error in many cases.
However what COH provides in reality is usually a dead zone for killer that you simply cannot afford to continue pursuit into. You lose all pressure either way as your injure is undone and you no longer have a survivor pressured. As I already stated, the only boon worth stomping is one right next to someone you just downed (or hooked) or even if you are just patrolling gens. But going out of your way to get one is usually just a big waste of your time.

The problem with your logic as a whole is that you're acting like healing as much as you want is fine and it's not, to put the boon up and heal takes the exact same amount of time as self caring and if it stays up and people feel safe resetting you waste more time healing than if you just ran adrenaline and gen rushed, good survivors don't run COH because they're good enough in a chase to not need the reset and they know that healing is a waste of time. I'm not saying circle of healing is weak but it's absolutely overrated and good survivors don't even need it to end the match faster.
You seem to be ignoring the fact that using a COH boon gives your 3 other team mates a free 5th perk of being able to heal themselves infinitely. They can also group heal at lightning speeds so injuring has no pressure at all as they can just undo your work in seconds.
Of course if someone wastes a lot of time re-blessing totems over and over then it is a detriment but there are plenty of other locations that are not convenient for the killer to deal with it (please see post with map example)
-
As someone who plays a fair bit of Clown myself, I do think they could perhaps tone the effect down a bit as it is quite annoying to go against. But there is a fine line between it being annoying and headache inducing, or just plain useless and ineffective

This is Groaning Storehouse, with 3 Gen around the Boon Coh completed.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/1MQQVCW65H80/image.png
The red area shows the zone that Killer patrol around, since 3 Gens on the right are done, the Killer will never set his feet on the whole area around Boon Coh.
Do you see the problem yet?
14sec to exchange 8sec for every single heal. The last time I saw a BoonCoh near a completed Gen, Im alone could self heal 4 times. Alone me, save 28sec. There are other 3 survivors.
This does such a great job at highlighting the issue - sure it only takes a second for the actual stomping out of the boon but how long to get there and how much pressure is lost doing so? Why would any killer follow a survivor to a pointless part of the map, let alone a totem?

5th perk?? Isn't it literally apart of the 4 perk slots if you choose to run it?
You give your team mates a free 5th perk of infinite free and super fast heals that undo killers pressure in seconds

I have a question for you then when you hit a survivor and a boon is up and the survivor is running toward the best loop in the map are you going to leave him be and find someone else or are you going to commit even if you know the survivor may waste 40 second of your time?
Exactly. Some don't seem to get how COH puts you a position as killer where it is a lose/lose scenario. Either take a chase that could lose you the game, or let them get a free heal in seconds and your injure means nothing

I understand what you're saying but the chance of survivor being near they're boons while being chased are 1/5% chance
I do not get your point?
That is the entire point I am making, if they are not near a boon there is literally no point going out of your way to stomp it. So they can just constantly return to that boon for infinite free heals - a 5th perk.
-
I have a problem with COH, it negates injuries as you cant really afford to just drop chase as they can just undo your injure so you lose pressure constantly as killer. You are often forced into a lose/lose scenario where you really need to not drop chase or they will just heal with a boon but they can run you to a strong area of the map or away from gens etc... so either way you lose.
Also it is providing their team mates with a free 5th perk of Self Care and super speedy group heals and it can be done so infinitely.
It doesn't matter if you can stomp them out in a second as every second counts for killer and it can mean the difference between dropping an active chase or stomping a boon. The only time it makes sense is if you down a survivor next to a totem otherwise it just isn't worth going out of your way to stomp a boon, since one will be back up right away anyway and you do so at the expense of pressure.
So yeah, I do have a BIG problem with boons and COH in particular. It is broken and very unfair
(edit: the only time it can work in your favour is if they place a boon you can easily stomp and they keep doing it over and over, or they boon your hexes)
-
Yeah it has been running badly of late, I have a 3080ti but running on low as getting fps drops. My native res is 4k but it used to be a constant 120fps so something went wrong in a recent update

I get a feeling that some people would prefer AFK killer. BP with no effort and they get to "win". Calm sitting on gens. I don't get it, but to each his own. I'm same: would rather have no gens, but fun. And when I'm killer, I'd rather have 0k and fun chases, than 4k and looking for blendettes in bushes or follow another ShiftW.
Amen dude, if only more people cared about actually having fun...

But why? Where is the entertainment value in it? Just to be clear, I'm not saying you are wrong or anything, I'm just trying to understand.
I don't understand it either, I am a survivor main and to me chases are the fun part of the match (unless the killer is Trickster), not pressing M1 for 5 minutes on gens. I would rather die having several awesome chases with no gens done than rush gens as if the killer is AFK.
I don't get how that is entertaining either
-
Sadly the new players have come into a game where they seldom have to use any mind games or play pallets, as maps are so survivor sided there is little consequence to just pre-dropping, since there will be another million safe pallets to follow (Game map is a good example). Getting injured means nothing now either, since with COH survivors can heal themselves infinitely or get super speedy group healed.
-
Trouble is, killers are doing the same as boons and SBMM have made matches very unfun and sweaty. So as killer you have to go all in or you are probably just going to be teabagged at the gates. I am a survivor main but I play a lot of killer too and honestly a lot of my survivor games are very unfun since SBMM and boons (COH in particular) came into the game.
The amount of hard camping and tunnelling killers is higher than I have ever seen it and the sad thing is I cannot blame them. Overall it just means the game has become less fun for both sides, simply because the survivor side has been buffed so much.
-
I don't understand how anyone can have the mentality that treating other people like crap should just be accepted and excused in any situation. You know, it is possible to actually be good at a game and play that game without behaving like a ten year old with attitude
-
That is a great improvement, been on the P3 50 slog for quite a while now and this will help!
-
Yeah Spirit was the problem so if it was changed to not work on Spirit somehow it would be fine to revert. The perk is pretty much useless now but I am glad to not see Stridor Spirit at the same time, as that was NOT fun
-
Unfortunately things have been made so survivor sided with COH in particular, that killers are resorting to playing in ever more unfun and toxic ways to compensate. So ironically giving survivors easier games has actually made the game less fun as killers have adjusted to compensate.
While I still avoid tunnelling off hook or camping if I can avoid it, I now will do so should I need to as the game has forced me into this play style more than I ever wanted to.
I am still a survivor main primarily but I am also finding my matches are often a lot less fun than they were, as I see a lot more killers playing really scummy.

do u even play nurse? or are u just saying shes op cuz u went against one. she is the hardest killer to use, if you master her, you deserve your 4k
Yeah I agree, I am biased as I am a Nurse main but I did my hard slog of being bullied and humiliated over and over to get decent with her. Most people give up as survivors love to humiliate killers when they are learning and losing constantly can be very disheartening. Then you reach a point where you start to land a lot of your blinks and win matches and you get some hope... at which point you start to face survivors who are actually good and you start to feel like a noob again as good survivors can give you a real rough time.
I respect a good Nurse as I know they had to go through a lot of crap and humiliation to push through and get decent with her
-
Great suggestion!
-
People really hate Hag but I don't mind her as she requires a totally different approach which is a refreshing change. Rarely see her these days so it means a lot of the newer players seem absolutely clueless as to how to counter her. So solo matches can get quite ugly as my team mates often get destroyed.
Chase Hag is the best Hag though and a basement camping Hag who sets every trap in a 10 meter radius (like a pleb) is the worst and I understand why people don't like that.
-
Honestly, I am just so sick to death of the whole face camping/Insidious/NOED Bubba routine. It was absolutely hilarious the first 1000 times but for me it just means I sit holding M1 and leave. No fun chases, no good interaction, just a boring killer standing in front of a hook trying to be funny/edgy.
Bubba can be a really fun killer to play against too, a good Bubba can do some really great mind gaming that can see you slugged in an instant, I don't care if they have NOED either. NOED Bubba isn't the boring Bubba, it is the camping thing I am beyond over, it is just boring

You’re assuming that new players can’t also build up muscle memory using the targeting icon which isn’t true. Different people are going to have different preferences for learning and a lot of people would find the character easier to learn and understand with the icon included.
Well everyone learns differently but my opinion is this addon should not be used. I can only say that as someone with hundreds of hours in Nurse alone and as someone who pretty much only plays Nurse. I would never recommend this addon in any context.

Someone else had a good suggestion - make Plaid Flannel part of base kit but allow Nurse to toggle it on or off using the Activate Ability button.
Thing is, it is a terrible addon and I would never recommend it to anyone, not even someone trying Nurse for their first time. You are better to just play her without it from the start and instantly be working on getting a feel for blink ranges and charge times.
Adding a terrible addon to her base kit is an awful idea no matter how it is implemented imo

When survivor-mains want to further nerf a killer who has already been heavily nerfed (and suffered severe game-losing bugs for years that Nurse players had to play in spite of), and these survivors consider fixing those bugs as "buffs" (like they were reliant on Nurse being buggy to play against her), it really makes you wonder where the entitled survivor-main narrative comes from.
I'd suggest spending a few hundred hours playing Nurse first and witness first-hand how difficult she is to use, and how effective just simply holding 'w' is against her. Then you can tell us whether she needs a nerf because she's too easy... or whether you find yourself winning because you've developed the skill that survivors (generally) refuse to learn to counter.
I say generally, because I've gone against many survivors that know how to juke my nurse too easily - random pathing, breaking line of sight, and straight-up baiting. If you're getting your backside kicked by a nurse, it's because the killer is more skilled than you are, so you just need to up your game instead of calling for more shackles for killer.
Thank you. I have put probably 500 hours into Nurse alone and while I do win easily against the average brainless survivor, I still get juiced every so often by survivors that actually have skill and can run me for a long time. In fact it is because most survivors are not very good that I get caught out when I face good players who don't just think that all they need to do is double back to counter me.
If anyone is struggling against Nurse the best thing I can recommend is they learn to play her themselves. Then you will understand her counters and learn a lot from other good survivors who will show you how to make life tough for Nursey
-
Nurse doesn't need any more nerfs, she has been nerfed already. Oh and fixing long standing bugs is not a buff, for those implying this is a buff
-
There should be ping limits on matchmaking, nobody should be able to connect to a lobby with 300 ping. I had a survivor with 1000ms the other day and I literally could not hook them
