  • Yeah the sweat on both sides can make it unfun and it is a vicious cycle as the more one side sweats, the more the other side sweats to compensate then in the end nobody is having fun.

I wish there was a way we could play against people who want respectful fun matches rather than unfun sweat fests every game.

Many survivors are just playing the game where they try to win. Your choice of playing in a way where you choose to not kill survivors only makes it easier for them to do the gens and leave.

This is the point though... it would be great to be able to communicate that you are not there to sweat and want to actually have chases for either side.

It has nothing to do with winning or losing, its about being able to not have every match be a sweat-fest every time where you can enjoy the fun part of the game on both sides (the chases).

What you're saying is that you want a button that tells survivors "Actushully guys I could have beaten you at any time but I'm just chilling!! No really!" You don't need a button for that. As another poster said you can simply play that way. It doesn't matter whether or not they get the message so long as you got to do the stuff you wanted to do.

Unless, of course, they don't get the message and your ego gets bruised. Can't have some random people thinking you're just bad at killer, right?

You know, if you are going to tell me what I am actually saying then I will just leave you to your podium to make your announcements since they have nothing to do with me.

  • @YOURFRIEND said:

That's the price you pay for playing inefficiently. Sounds to me like you want survivors to know you're not playing seriously for some pride reason. Who cares? I've had many games where I just two hook everybody and spend the remaining time chasing the best survivor. If you do a successful mind game and nod at em instead of hitting they usually get the hint.

You can imply that I am saying something I am not all you want, while ignoring what I am actually saying.

  • @HugTheHag said:

As killer, it's happened before that I've had a couple of survivors who really wanted chases, and who went about it the polite way rather than being taunting. Mostly they just hovered around me, trying to take chase if I was with other people and the rest of the time just waiting for me to turn around to see them.

They weren't the best teammates by any means, they didn't really help the others with the gens, but they were really good at chasing and honestly super fun, going for lots of FOV techs I wasn't used to facing. When I lost them, they would just wait in the open for me to find them again or give a single clic for me to hear them. They would flashlight save the two solos but not each other, so I still had a chance to sacrifice them. It was more of a "you can have the solos but you'll have to go through us first" situation, haha.

Both of them died eventually, and one of the gen jockeys escaped through hatch, but even though I lost quite some time to chasing them, this game was really fun, and it wouldn't have been any less if they'd escaped.

Yes I have had survivors who got the idea too, had a really great match the other day with 2x survivors that were still alive when I was playing Pyramid Head and we had chase after chase after chase where they healed and then we went again.

I just wish there was a way to indicate 'come 1v1 me at the shack bro' lol

  • @tippy2k2 said:

Then why don't you just chase them? I guess I'm super confused by what you want here because it sounds like what you want is to just hook people but let them all go in the end which...you can just do. You're the killer, you're the one in control if you choose not to sacrifice people on Death Hook.

Because if I just chase one person and don't pressure gens all gens are done in under 5 minutes and everyone leaves.

  • Sure in that example I agree but this is not exclusively what I am seeing, not by a long way

Maybe don't fixate so much on your "tunnel at 5gens" scenario.

I as a friendly killer had my fair share of people DCing simply upon getting downed first and faster than they liked. No tunneling, no camping and no slugging but often the instant DC. And don't get me started about times when penalties were off.

And no you arent captives but when you hit ready you say that you are ready to play this game with 4 other people knowing that you can get any of the ~30 killer on any of the however many maps. You KNOW what could come and don't get to cherry pick, neither the opponent nor the map nor how the first minute of the match goes.

IF you have a problem with that and want to leave to the detriment of the 4 other players that now can no longer play in any normal gameplay loop: DONT QUEUE UP IN THE FIRST PLACE.

    That's what responsible people do.

Edit: And i am not.talking about you specifically, matriosity, but in general in any team pvp game without refill.

Don't get me wrong, I do understand the frustration as a solo queue only (these days) veteran I suffer the consequences of DC's a lot myself.

But I also play a lot of killer and I very rarely if ever have DC's and I think it is no coincidence that I never tunnel off hook, I don't camp and I don't run horribly broken and unfun builds. My main killer was Nurse too but I can honestly say I have never even used Starstruck on her and I never slug at 5 gens etc.

Sure I have had people DC literally the second they hear Nurse, or for no apparent reason with another killer. But the problem is only worsened by people who decide to play killer in the most unpleasant way in a game where your opponents cannot retaliate with a headshot or an outplay if you decide to tunnel them out etc

People just remember bad matches more than good matches. I got used to make a screenshot after each match and look at them at the end of the day. To compare the bad matches and good ones. When someone disconnects on first down, i also make a screenshot mid game.

People willing to dc/suicide is a bigger issue for me.

Ignoring WHY they are leaving is not looking at the underlying cause.

There are people who DC for no logical reason but when you combine it with the ones who you can at least understand...

Yes, we absolutely can put all the blame on the people that DC. It is literally exclusively and solely a problem with their maturity. If they can't handle going against certain parts of this game, they should not queue up. In fact, stick to single player games entirely, if they don't care about ruining the game for everyone else the second the game isn't the way they want.

You can say this but when a killer tunnels someone off hook at 5 gens can you really expect that person to want to keep playing the game with them?

We aren't captives here by force, we are all here trying to have fun and enjoy a game and if you cant play nicely or fairly with others then you cant expect them to just be your plaything and they will inevitably choose to just leave.

  • I play both survivor and killer and recently it dawned on me that I never DC as killer but I admit there are games where I do leave as survivor.

As with other examples, I find it hard to blame team mates (not advocating) when we get a sweaty Nurse slugging at 5 gens and they don't want to play against it. The same with the huge increase in unnecessary tunnelling off hook even with 5 gens still up, how can people be expected to just tolerate this without complaint?

I will be honest, I am currently on a 15 minute time out which is not something I like to admit but the games have been that horrible and I think I am just going to stop playing today as the vast majority of matches have not been enjoyable at all.

I don't understand people who play killer and tunnel someone out at 5 gens so they inevitably DC and then the match is pretty much ruined. How can this be fun and can you really consider it a win that you made the match so unpleasant for someone else they decided leaving and taking a penalty is preferable to having to tolerate you?

  • I disagree, the game is currently quite killer sided other than SWF.

Anyone playing solo queue at present can tell you how rough it is and even with map RNG and maps in general often being survivor sided, it isn't enough to counter the current regression meta or the depressing amount of tunnelling and camping even at 5 gens

  • Last time DBD when F2P was on the Epic store and we still are suffering the consequences. I get it though, the grind is still pretty insane for new players and it takes a long time to get all the perks on every character (let alone every character).

But I do not at all support F2P after the cheater apocalypse that resulted from the Epic free giveaway

Yeah, that's what I try to do. I don't want to farm or waste time, but I will let folks heal, I'll try to 2hook everyone before killing them and maybe let them finish a few gens before I end it.

It grinds my gears though that I still get DC's and quitters in almost 1/3 of my matches.

I rarely get DC's, the only one I had in the past few days was when I was playing Bubba and I hooked a survivor in the basement lol

I had zero intention of camping and immediately pursued the survivors far away I saw on BBQ but they still quit as I guess they just expected the usual boring Bubba thing

Yep there's soon to be either a really chill match ,are someone who will just let survivor's go never sure there reason tho 🤔 but they want to farm but it sometimes feels awkward to farm

I don't really want to just sit there and farm, I still want to chase and get hooks etc. I am just more than happy to let two or even all of them go at the end.

I agree with StarLost (though I cant @ them or quote their comment for some reason) that if you realise you are going to stomp then ease back a bit and even if I intend to get Merciless I will chill out a bit and let everyone get saves and 3 hooks each.

Well Christmas and New Year's are the hardest time for some If they are playing the game on Christmas most likely they are lonely and angry, this is not the case for all but for some might try to relieve anger playing like that.Doesnt make it right but might be the cause, so take that into consideration .

I have considered that maybe at least some of them are angry and bitter and want to take in out on others for some reason...

Thankfully there were some 'normal' people and I switched to playing killer myself and I let a lot of survivors go after I two hooked them all. Just to balance out the misery and toxicity that the angry players spread in the community...

  • @shiroo said:

So because it's Xmas killers should go afk and let you do gens? xD

Like yday... I carry someone to a hook and I can CLEARLY HEAR there's someone walking right behind me...So I hook, turn around and bam get a hit and a down. The person DCs...

Like what? What did you expect?

Either way, I always chill. I always try to farm, hook everyone if situation allows it, usually let the last person go. But so many times survs just do bizzare plays and get themselves killed literally for free.

    PS. MAKE SNOW MAN PERMANENT!!!!!

Strawman argument, nobody expects people to not play the game but if you want to make points that I didn't make you can argue that one out with yourself as you sure aren't responding to any point I made.

But seriously - I've found that not giving a f* about the match outcome and only caring about the very moment you're in in a match is the only way to not snap in SoloQ.

Its not that I really care about 'winning' a match with thousands of hours in the game that doesn't really appeal as much as having fun. I just want a normal match where the killer isn't tunnelling at 5 gens or running really unfun builds on S tier killers... I don't even care if I don't survive the match so long as there are lots of fun chases and more interaction than killers kicking gens all game

I didn't even attempt to play a single game as solo survivor (and won't today and tomorrow) so my Christmas won't be ruined, but I'll chill a bit as killer later and do event tome challenges.

Lol yeah I feel you, what the hell is going on today?!

  • @SluggedSurvivor said:

Sounds like a normal day to me, haha.

Lmao... your name is so apt

  • The main reason I see for DC's is tunnelling off hook and imbalanced killers like Nurse or Blight.

Deal with these first and we will at least see a reduction, though I very much believe you cannot force people to play games they don't want to play and replacing them with a bot is a good solution.

I pretty much never get a DC when I play killer as I never camp and I never tunnel off hook and I cant believe that is just a lucky coincidence

  • What I do know is tunnelling off hook in particular (usually after camping that hook) is one thing that is killing the game. People just DC and the matches are ruined for everyone and this is happening more and more.

Of course there are a lot of ridiculous reasons people DC and sometimes it appears there is no logical reason of course. But the most common reason I see is someone is tunnelled off hook and they decide to just leave.

I don't even thing SBMM is really even a thing for the most part, I think it just throws you with anyone close enough to you as quickly as possible. So in the old metric we would be getting rank 1 and rank 10 in the same lobby, I guarantee it.

  • I like Wesker for how easily you can get Distortion/Stake Out stacks off him but other than that I don't have any real favs. I think most of the killers music is pretty decent

  • I think Windows is healthy for the game, it allows newer players to at least have some chance to navigate a map and not get completely destroyed within a couple of seconds. Even then, it isn't really going to help an inexperienced player and the really high level players never run it so it sure isn't meta with the top end of the skill range

  • No. There are plenty of good SP games out there already, DBD should be PVP

  • I pretty much only play solo queue but I used to play SWF fairly often back in my early days.

I prefer the randomness of solo queue and I don't like having to wait for others to queue up, nor do I like to feel obligated to team mates as if I mess up I feel bad for letting down friends. I also feel SWF can be easy mode which takes a lot of the randomness out of DBD, being organised is effective but just doesn't feel as fun for some reason

  • It is still decent though and not completely broken like old DH was... but then I don't really run Exhaustion perks other than maybe Head On just for the lol value I get from it

  • I have no problem at all with COB but Eruption is broken and is carrying killers big time. I don't care if they do literally nothing to COB but Eruption needs to have some counter play and preferably remove the Incapacitated effect entirely as its an incredibly annoying and unfun mechanic all round

  • @Tsulan said:

If it was only filtering profanities, then i wouldn´t have a problem with it. But its censoring all kinds of words that are not profanities and makes some conversations really hard.

As Tsulan says here, if it filtered out naughty words well whatever I guess... but it doesn't. It makes having even a friendly post game chat impossible at times as you can't say the most innocent of things and for absolutely no logical reason. Its just so annoying to deal with I wish it was gone altogether

  • Just had yet another game where the killer was completely carried by Eruption... full slowdown build in Wesker and despite us all being able to loop him well it just wasn't enough as eventually the map became a dead zone (Gas Heaven) where he just proxied the middle of the map and let Eruption do the work.

This situation is infuriating beyond words

  • I wish it was optional, I am a big kid now and I can handle naughty words and don't need an internet nanny to filter them out for me.

Plus as you say, it is unbelievably sensitive and it censors the most absurd things that can make saying the simplest thing absolutely infuriating

  • I don't remember any for killer that have been so completely broken.

Original MOM for survivor is comparable as far as being broken goes, or original DS but other than those I cant think of any single perk that has been so completely and utterly broken.

Sadly I it is unlikely we will see this fixed until next year after the xmas/NY break... but I guarantee they will be dealing with it as clearly it is a big problem. The unexpected Bloodhunt is probably an attempt to mitigate the damage to the queues as survivor matchmaking incentives are currently on most of the time and I know why...

  • "Why is the killer engaging in that behavior? I will always do exactly that if I have lost two generators. It is the only way I can catch up. Again look at the math. Compare 2/5 gens done vs 2/9 hooks. Who is closer to their objective? IF I tunnel one person then I might actually be closer because the game is radically different with only three living players."

You are not understanding the flow of the match... of course the first gens will get done faster than the rest as initially you are only pressuring one survivor. But as you take one out of the match to hook them, you also take another off gens to come and get the save.

If you have information perks and/or good game sense you will know where at least one other survivor will be working on a gen and if you can push them off you now have 3 survivors off gens, if two are on the same gen you have them all occupied for the meantime. If they choose not to heal you can usually punish that... sloppy can be a good tool for that.

This is also why killers slug - you take one person off gens by slugging them and another off gens who has to come and get them up and likely heal them. This is all how you build pressure and the early game is not the same as mid/late game as far as survivor pressure on gens.

  • @Tostapane said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3301390#Comment_3301390

if survivors keep running around the hook trying to save their mate who is almost on 2nd hook state instead of doing gens, how is camping a looser mentality (2/3 people that aren't on gens and you have also the possibility to dispose of a survivor, making the game a lot more manageable)? if a survivor with bt will bodyblock instead of fleeing how it's a looser mentality going for that guy (same example as before: less survivors working on gens=easier to manage the match)? Seems more than you have some butthurt regarding those tactics (which mind you, can be understandable, but it's not a reason to deny the effectiviness of those tactics)... it's like genrushing in a certain sense: both sides will rush their goals in order to win. Is that fun? Not at all, but it's effective, that's the point

    *Loser not "looser".

See this is a strawman argument, as nobody rational is complaining if survivors rush hooks in your face that you should just give a save for free (though if they get it I tend to take the trade). If a survivor insists on tanking a hit instead of making their escape, then if the killer decides to give them the aggro they so desperately seem to want... so be it.

So you can argue with yourself regarding your examples as they are not what the sane majority is frustrated with.

What is killing the game is the increasing number of bad killers who just camp first hook so survivors are forced to attempt a trade, though instead of going after the unhooker they hard tunnel the survivor who just got unhooked therefore preventing them from even being able to play the match. People will not put up with this continuously and what happens is people just stop playing the game and as killer you can impact 4x people by ruining matches like this.

The same applies to toxic survivors who cant just play the game without BMing the killer, nobody is going to keep doing that and ultimately many stop playing. Both are wrong but the killer is unique in that they ruin the match for 4 other people and the survivor role cannot retaliate against this tactic.

    I think that's a great mindset !

I do play the same way. My trophies are not salty comments on my steam page or any number of DCs, but tokens of wolesome endgame chats as a sign that my opponents had as much fun as I did. =)

And as you say, the results are there. Being relaxed about losing a few games from time to time makes most of my games wins or ties, as I let my mmr actually adjust.

Plus I rarely face rude people. They see me playing relaxed and chill as well.

I literally see no downside to playing this way ! =D

    Totally agree

I do agree that a lot of killer players feel entitled to winning every match. I have a personal vendetta against winstreaks as well.

However, I wouldn't go as far as saying they're bad at the game if they need to resort to tunneling.

Survivors at high level do have stupid strong strategies at times, so getting to this point in mmr still requires skill. Remaining there is where tunneling comes in. I have no doubt that OP is an experienced player and probably much better than me at killer. I just so happen to enjoy my games more than they do theirs. =)

That is fair too, I am possibly being harsh I do admit.

I think part of the problem is people want to win and will do ANYTHING to achieve that, with a total disregard for anyone else in that process.

I admit I don't care to 'win' anymore, a win for me is having a lot of fun and wholesome post game chat makes me feel good over knowingly making the game unfun for others and getting a pile of negativity thrown my way.

Yet even with that, I still manage to 'win' the vast majority of my matches as killer

  • I never run Hex perks for this reason, well maybe once in a while I will risk a Devour just for the sheer fun of it. But I still have trauma from OG Ruin days when your Ruin would disappear within the first 30 seconds or if you got lucky the first minute of pretty much every match.

I guess the idea is Hex perks are meant to be strong but come with a big trade off of risk... a trade off I am not willing to make.

  • @Tostapane said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3300949#Comment_3300949

this is pure bs and every expert player will tell you otherwise... in order to win YOU HAVE TO TUNNEL AND CAMP, otherwise you'll struggle even with mediocre survivors that are still able to press m1 on gens. It's pure and simple logic: you can't be in 4 places at once as killer, and while you are chasing/searching for a survivor, the others have all the time needed to work on generators, meaning that 1simple chase can cost you easily 3 gen without even doing mistakes (add also perks, maps like garden of joy with the infinite present in the central building or the huge quantity of safe pallets present in the game for example and you'll have the general picture of dbd right now)

You don't have to in public matches, this is just making excuses for playing badly/being outplayed and sometimes just getting plain rotten RNG that puts the match in survivors favour.

Unless you catch a survivor out-positioned, get lucky or play Nurse or Blight well, you will lose 2 gens pretty quickly and I don't panic if I have only 3 gens left before I get my first hook. Once you get the first hook you now have pressure and momentum and how you use that determines whether you win or lose. Also know when to drop chase, if your first chase does not result in a down after 30 seconds, change targets immediately.

Camping is just plain stupid and tunnelling off hook is just plain scummy and I guarantee we will see more heavy punishments baked into the core game in the new year as its really hurting the game at this point.

If you feel you need to camp and tunnel off hook (in public matches) you have a losers mentality, it is the same as running NOED - you only run NOED if you are expecting you will lose all gens otherwise why would you run it? That is not a personal insult to anyone either but expecting failure and playing your match as if you expect to fail is a losing attitude

  • Meanwhile I am just here trying to have fun and am more than willing to die/let everyone go if I can have fun in a match

Edit: Love how mods changed title to "Rant" lol

Its okay though dude, let it out, we have all been there

  • @HugTheHag said:

I might be wrong, but I think if you need to tunnel and have 3/4 unenjoyable games to have one that is fun to you, you might just want to stick to playing without tunneling for a little while to lower your mmr a bit. That way you'll be back in a bracket where you see variety in gameplay and the games are naturally close without either side sweating too much.

To me, needing to tunnel to win games is a symptom that you're past your ideal niche and it might be time to relax a bit. Doubling down on tunneling will only make you need to resort to it more, leading to more unenjoyable game.

    100% this.

If you need to tunnel and camp otherwise you don't win the vast majority of your games as killer in public matches, you are just plain bad at the game - period.

I never tunnel, never camp and I never run unfun things like full regression builds or Eruption at all. I have 3k hours on both killer and survivor (though admittedly more survivor) so I think I have a pretty good game sense at this stage and I am a decent if not amazing killer.

So if I win most of my games playing 'nice' then I don't buy the excuses people make for just being plain unpleasant to others. I think as Scott Jund (who I am no fan of tbh) rightly pointed out in a recent vid, some people seem to feel entitled to win 100% of matches as killer and if they lose a match they cry about how the game is imbalanced (which it is) and survivor sided etc.

Hopefully we will see more done to address tunnelling in the new year as this combined with oppressive gen builds/Eruption are killing the game rapidly.

  • You can actually still buy the DLC from CD Key sites (not sure if BHVR like this so wont be specific) and from what I understand they are legit keys that were bought when they still had the licence so they still honour them.

But you will pay 10x the original price if you want it

  • @Canas said:

Eurption offers me little value since I can't even get downs quickly enough, I couldn't care less about the perk itself. Either reduce the average chase length or increase gentimes, those are the only things which would make the perk a viable pick to me.

If you are not getting downs then nothing but experience and learning from mistakes can help you.

I have had several matches today, as usual, where the killer just grinds us down with Eruption/COB/Overcharge and just camps middle gens so we cant break a potential 3 gen. They don't even have to be good, they just push us off the gen and get a pallet out of us then return to kick the gen. That causes the area around the gens they are protecting to become one big dead zone and then they can get downs as we have to keep coming back to try to get rid of one of the gens to prevent a 3 gen.

This just goes on indefinitely until we finally get so bored we give up and go next... last match I got hit 3 times with Eruption and my team mates all did as well... So that is 300 seconds at least that we are all unable to play the game because of one perk.

I just wanted to see if they could come up with anything at all for a response.

I've been having horrible games in DbD and was seeking some entertainment.

Lol I feel you there, solo queue has been horrible for me today too. Tunnelling off hook, obnoxious killer builds and typical amazing solo team mates...

  • Yeah I think I will hold onto my money instead...

Explain exactly how the survivors could have prevented the 3gen in that video. Please be specific.

Best to ignore as anyone with a functional brain can see there was nothing they could do here

The thing is, OTR is the best tool against tunneling, but it is not really good. All Anti-Tunnel measures which are somewhat meaningful (this does not include DS, this is a joke at this point) resolve around Endurance. And one Hit after the Unhook and ALL of them are gone - the Basekit-Endurance, potential BT, potential DH, potential OTR. So there need more measures which are Anti-Tunnel, but dont use Endurance.

Reverting the DS-Stun to 5 seconds should be a minimum that should happen. And in fact, it should have increased its Anti-Tunnel capacity once they nerfed it that it cannot be used in Endgame (which was totally fine). Because a DS which deactivates on anything AND is deactivated in Endgame AND is at 5 seconds was nothing anyone complained about. But, as we know, to "change" the Meta, some Perks just got nerfed into Oblivion to make them unattractive to use. DS is one of them.

In the end, current DS grants the Survivor around 7 meters of distance. The Stun is 3 seconds, 1,3 seconds are used for the animation, so 1,7 seconds can be used for distance, which results in around 7 meters. This is barely anything. If I see DS used in games (by other Survivors or against me), the Killer really catches up way too quickly.

IMO DS can be changed to let the Stun Time be depending on the number of Gens left. Number of Gens x 2 seconds = Stun Time. So:

    • 5 Gens left --> 10 Second Stun
    • 4 Gens left --> 8 Second Stun
    • 3 Gens left --> 6 Second Stun
    • 2 Gens left --> 4 Second Stun
    • 1 Gen left --> 2 second Stun
    • 0 Gens left --> deactivated

This would punish a Killer very heavily who wants to tunnel right at the start to turn the game into an easy 3v1 which the Survivor cannot win anymore. But once the Killer needs a Survivor out of the game, because they lost some Gens, DS is not that useful anymore. E.g. at 4 seconds it would be barely stronger than now and with 2 seconds, it would basically be useless.

This would also be in line with what Killers say when they say they HAVE to tunnel. They will be able to do so, when the game gets close for them. But if they try it earlier, there is a harsh penalty for it. (And no Killer HAS to tunnel at 5 Gens and if they get a 10 second Stun because of this, this is completely their own fault)

But yeah, the bare minimum would be to buff DS back to 5 seconds. But, this will not happen, because then people would play DS and the Devs did not "change" the Meta.

This was my suggestion with one small edit added that is lost in the early part of the thread.

A much more fair and balanced way to try and reduce tunnelling is to simply add more defensiveness to the basekit borrowed time.

First off double the haste to 20% that gives you 0.2 m/s faster than a 4.6 killer that can be used to loop/get away. (Edit: After some further thought on this, the haste effect should scale with the number of gens left in the match.)

    5 gens 20% 4.8 m/s

    4 gens 18% 4.72 m/s

    3 gens 16% 4.67 m/s

    2 gens 14% 4.57 m/s

    1 gen 12% 4.48 m/s

    0 gens 10% 4.4 m/s

This change gears it more towards tunneling in the early game.

Second for those 10 seconds, block aura reading of unhooked survivor, no blood or scratch marks, quick and quiet with no cooldown, 100% reduction in pain sounds and breathing. This litany of defensive boosts eliminates all but visual tracking of the unhooked survivors giving tons of options for breaking line of sight and losing the killer.

Third and finally the killer gains killer instinct on the unhooking survivor and have all but the unhooked survivors aura shown for 5 seconds, incentivizing the unhooker and any other survivor as a target especially with the difficulty of tracking the unhooked survivor.

I think this fits both the carrot and stick idea and wouldnt really be abuseable offensively in any real way like DS was.

I definitely like the idea of scaling the disincentive based on the amount of gens left as with both of these great suggestions (as per Aven_Fallen's quoted suggestion).

Then it doesn't punish killers harshly all match long and it allows survivors to at least have some kind of match before they are eliminated. Progressively lessening penalties is an idea I really like and one would definitely like BHVR to consider.

There is no reason to tunnel someone out at 5 gens and the game should penalise this imo
