ESO morrowind overhaul era patches this reminds me of. "You will consider this change a buff if (such and such) and you will consider this change a nerf if (yada yada)." This game is more fun reading about it every patch than actually playing it lol.

What the hell is the matter with you? This happens to everyone who plays Solo Q at one time or another. Grow up.
Thank you kevin smith, it is indeed time to grow up now.

You don't earn alot of bp that game. LITERALLY,

I sure as hell wouldn't want this kind of matchmaking in this game,
Instead. just make Rank and Unranked playlist, Make it hard to reach rank one so the rank reset actually means something,
Took less than five minutes to even think of this idea. literally.
there will be a lot more low rank killers and a fair amount of midrank killers, there will mainly be long waits at high elo probably like it was in diamond and sometimes plat on league if I remember those tier names correctly. You will also likely run into the same players more often. And once high mmr killers continue running into the same players that have figured out how to play around them and begin to recognize so many of the premades they'll probably get bored and quit or get bored with how tedious and long a time it will take to tank their rank just for another night or two's of fun before they're right back there again. But the rest of the game will probably be fine, still full of toxicity though, just like league with every bronze thinking they're trick2g and the rest of us watching it on saltyteemo.
Only the high mmr killers being frustrated will actually make the game healthier for 80-90% of the playerbase though. And fewer of Those killers quitting will bump up the queue times quality and match quality for lower tier survivors even lower tier swf. And the money comes from the scrubs mostly. So they won't los emuch money on it, and in fact, might even gain a little if more scrub killers or newbie killers started buying skins for their killers too. only high mmr will be a mess between half hour to hour long queue length and boring predictable gameplay. They'll just be playing it out of habit, like they already do now probably, having played it for so long they're too afraid or unmotivated to get into another game and have to learn it all over again.

But I never got around to watching it since I was never an anime person. I just remember a little guyver and 3x3 eye in the 90s along with liking cowboy bebop a lot. I have no understanding of dragonball references as a result lol.

Evil Dead won't be competition. It does look incredible though. The reason why it won't be competition is because of the style of game it is. Its like Left 4 Dead. 4 people vs waves of zombies/deadites. Can't really compete when the games aren't alike.
There sounds like, from the game's webpage, that there will be the co-op focus but that there will be a mode or option to play kandarian demon which will be the asym mode. I'm pretty sure that like in friday the 13th it'll be a lot more fun playing the 'killer' role in that game than this one if up against discord (friday the 13th had voice chat built in, and the killer player could even use it to mess with or trick people or just join in the fun on the comms which lightens things up and eases tension and sense of 'us against them' mentality). They made a big mistake when they made this game not considering the groups on voice comms. Plus if the game has enough campy moments it'll just be plain more fun win or lose. Hell even left 4 dead was too in versus, especially in fun lobbies.

As someone who ALWAYS play Spine Chill.. I agree. But only because it instantly can tell you when the killer is coming which is extremly annoying, especially for Stealth killers. They should reduce the activation distance and or make it so it wont work against undetectable and it shouldnt work while you are oblivious.
give it a short cd like small game, maybe 15 seconds, might give stealth killers like ghost face enough time to get close before it would go off again although it would need to be tested and more than for just abrief week on pts.

Before the update it'd be spicy but nothing drastic. Since the update my CPU decided that vibing in the 70s was no longer okay and maybe it should try out a solid 83°
(ive managed to get it back down to ~78 since thankfully).
jesus thats alot , although the ryzens can handle operating through most of the rnge on heavy load and it's fine for them. not sure on the more recent intels, but I assume modern cpus in general are fine in the 70s on high load. unless they're in a laptop/notebook but they'd get throttled to hell on those anyways.

Or they could finish a gen you kicked before u down someone. Or they can stop working on a gen after you kick it.
If they wanted it to be meta, it needs to have the kick on a gen requirement removed in some way. Situational perks aren't going to be meta.
if they made it too easy, like removing the kick requirement, the cd on it would go back up most likely.
-
@Ferrari334 said:
They are both really bad perks man. Eruption is only 8% regression and has a good chance of being useless if you don't down someone at the right time.
Lethal pursuit is good against potato survivors, but then so are most other perks.
Yeah BBQ and pop are meta for sure, always have been. But Nemesis perks (and he as a killer) are objectively pretty bad.
With wraith's current speed even without using addons at all you could go around cloaked, kick gens, knock somebody's azz out then blow up all their gens throught he power of speed force lol. This one killers gotta work for though, although wraith at current cloaked default speeds is a bit too potentially strong since he can kick alot of gens in a very short time, but having to work for it I think it's a fine perk since you effectively lengthen the cd on it based on how long you wait to trigger it if you wanna involve more gens with it.

I have been here 4 years. I think its about time for me to stop playing this game.. Thanks behaviour for finally letting me go. I've waited so long for this chapter. I loved this game at one point. I was hoping you would treat RE with as much respect as any other license. It just upset me. I cared so much about DBD and the RE franchise. But you ######### it all up. I just wanted a good Resident Evil chapter.... I couldn't even get a mediocre chapter... Once I P3 "Nemesis" I'm trying my hardest too stay away from this game. It makes me so sad to say that to. Please make the game better. Maybe I'll come back. But you put the final nail in the coffin. Now excuse me while I go cry myself too sleep because I have to let go of something I once cared s deeply about that ruined something I still care so deeply about.
You'll probably have gotten into Evil Dead the game later in the year by the time they promised even to fix whatever it is that you're turned off by lol. Hopefully that game will help keep both games better through providing competition. At least competition for new players even if it doesn't get too many old dbd ones.

I spectated a guy using this in the RPD on the pts and let me tell you there were things all over his screen so keep that in mind as you may get some brief use from this perk if you didn't play the map enough on pts

If the killer takes it that seriously then I have probably done something wrong.
Like what? played the game? escaped? tbag? stun him with too many pallets or escape too many chases and it's "your fault" gens popped off left and right when he should have stopped chasing you? You sat at the exit if you were a ninja and needed a single chase to get toward the emblem before you escaped the match? the list goes on and on and on.

I’m confident I won’t get banned. 1vs4 remember? 1 report won’t do anything.
there's also duos and 3 mans that are gonna spam reports on you if they blame you for their butt buddy walking himself into the killer or you used a pallet they think could have saved him later. Or even just for chets & giggles just because they can and decide to do it every few games or so to the random.

Don’t campers forget they are playing agaisnt a real person? They have every right to be mad. Autoban will finally fix this game.
If having queue times for survivors under 30 minutes is broken then yes that will "finally fix this game" along with the people that find playing as the Kandarian Demon in Evil Dead far more fun than sweating their ass off in this just to deal with the same sort of autoban system that let league present you with a chatbox where the only two lines that were yours were, "pls stfu and play" and "k muted" while those that solicited in /all to get the other team along with their butt buddies to pile reports on top of you were probably still playing scott free able to spew their profanity and vitriol in other matches before doing the same thing to others. It's gonna work so well with no potential for abuse especially from those god-fearing premades that do no evil ever.
As soon as Evil Dead is out, if it's even half as fun and decent as the gameplay footage shown recently looks... I'll never touch dbd again. I went four 4 years not touching it since late 2016 until last summer so I have no problem dropping this on a dime seeing the devs show the same neglect and attitude problems they had in 2016 on top of the game still being a mess 5 laughable years later. It's as if a team of amateur modders got together in the computer lab in junior high and decided to make a whole video game together without one single clue ######### they were doing. Hopefully I will get to actually mess around in the RPD map a little before I move over to Evil Dead and Back 4 Blood, but if not, no sweat off my back.

I would personally say add more Zombies, but instead of damaging Survivors, they grab and hold Survivors for a few seconds, ala Victor holding lockers shut, while also infecting them if they aren't already.
Make them more of a map-wide threat that doesn't negate Nemesis having to make his way over, but can drastically slow Survivors down if they slip up.
Either that, or make them more of an active threat when spotting a Survivor, namely theough a speed buff. Maybe some AI parhfinding tweaks, too.
yeah a few second or so grapple and then they get shoved would fit the RE theme and also avoid using them as a bump and afree sprint burst when uninfected since I know people are gonna catch onto that and I did pretty quickly too lol.

@kingbojenbo said:
I've been reading the 50,000 threads on Nemesis and this is what I got from all of them:
So some Nemesis players want to have zombies pursue survivors that are infected, have more zombies depending on map size, Nemesis to have longer reach, have a wider hitbox on tentacle, hit survivors and break pallet while survivors are sliding over pallets, also infect and damage on the same hit. Did I get all of that?
You need survivors in the game to play and no survivor is going to play against all of that. This game needs killers that are balanced for the health of the game which is what we were given and some want an easy 4k machine.
I appreciate those that know Nemesis is balanced. This forum is full of complaints about game balance, killers like Nemesis are part of creating that balance.
I've seen people talk about the entitlement in this community and it's very obvious.
They say the same about needing killers to play, and usually survivors outnumber killers to the point where losing some survivors actually makes the game better if it's during a time of killer shortage like the killer position/movement speed patch led to earlier in the year when my survivor queues went from 15-20 mins down to 7 or 8 lol.
That said, nemesis is fine as is for the most part I think. The one thing I would like to see changed is indoor maps having 2 zeds still, while mid-sized maps need 3 zeds and larger outdoor maps like some of the macmillian and cornfields need 3 or 4 zeds on them. I play survivor and find the zeds the most fun thing they've put into the game in along time. Having to walk one off a gen so somebody can finish it or walk one around something so i can rush back and tap a little more into it is a lot less tedious than just holding M1 the whole time and it helps nemesis too by creating small delays tying a survivor up sometimes.
I've also had some of my funniest moment with the zeds like thinking I was gonna get away and gof or a hatch possibly against a nemesis when out of the blue a zed flanks me and slaps me right int he face mid vault while infected and injured. That was hilarious. I am wondering how adding a sort of 'minion' type of system with something like the zeds for certain other killers including existing ones might help the health of the game for killers that have trouble with the game going too quicklyf or them especially ones it happens even using good perks.
They're gonna need to come up with more things to compete with Evil Dead if it's released as fun as the recent gameplay footage makes it look to play and the kandarian spirit is way more chill and fun than killer in dbd is... since if enough killers would rather play that this game is gonna have a rought ime with survivor queues again if they keep complaining and getting killers nerfed especially if they still have their keys by then lmao. Once Evil Dead and Back 4 Blood are released, if I enjoy even one of them vastly more, I don't plan to play dbd again. I left it in late 2016 and only came back last summer during the cake thing ... I have no problem going another 4 years if Evil Dead is way more fun to play for both sides of the game. The same if Back 4 Blood gets a proper Versus mode for campaigns like L4D has. Hopefully Evil Dead is real good and that forces DBD to get better since the competition could keep both games having to stay good and improve themselves.
-
usually it's been the rare sneaky ghostface, and they'd often say they were trying to be scary and that did make it pretty fun. once or twice a myers did it too, but usually they're just creepy or annoying rather than scary outside the rare instagib build if they got fed by the team. then there was one huntress, who told us at the end of the match in the chat they wanted to make it a scary and fun experience... and thatw as one of the most fun matches I had that I can remember. boy was their across the map aim really frickin good. They made it actually feel like a horror game for a little while lol. it really kept me on my toes for once lmao
Edit: tired and misread the title and can't delete posts. for killer, would have to agree with the 'Unexpected Pallet' especially in the middle of the night. It works better than coffee.

Because if it works they won't be able to bully squad their way through trash players and get wins they don't deserve.
yet as a killer at least the gameplay will either become tedious and stale or always 'feel' like sweat tot hem once they hit their personal mmr ceiling... so it isn't gonna help retain them in the LONG run while it probably will in the SHORT game like the first few months or so after mmr is out. something is going to need to be done if killers won't be seeing any more weak links in the teams they face whether they are swf or not imo. Since it'll become difficult to get a foothold in the match probably, and that will lead to losing interest in the gameplay and probably becoming very bored with being killer.
They're playing the killer, so they're probably not seeking the same sort of stimulation or casual level of comfort in a game that the survivors are seeking. They wanna be able to feel like a killer and not like they're writing up a google spreadsheet on every choice they make and that survivors make in most of their matches.
Sure they won't get many bully squads vastly above their skill level often, but there will always be smurfs and the game goes on sale a lot. But perfectly matched matchmaking without the rando potato here and there is gonna lead to pretty stale gameplay and bring a lot of dbd's major flaws and imbalances to the surface once the majority of the playerbase settles into their 'true' elo. I'll be straight up about the fact once I reach that point it'll be pretty unstimulating and I'll either go on one of a couple of alt accounts I hadn't touched yet when I'd wanna try killers again or I just wouldn't play killers any more and as a result wouldn't have a reason to pay for rifts either only being able to get half of it done.

I don't necessarily think it's about fairness, but more along the lines of a ridiculous grind. I think just getting more BP overall would be good for both sides, without HAVING to use perks to help with BP. Every Killer runs with BBQ, just to reduce the grind.
They could just reduce the cost of some crap on the webs, presently, if they're still putting moris especially the pink ones on killers' webs they need more bp for that reason alone to offset sometimes being forced to waste bp on a now useless offering just to get to a perk they want beyond it or to refresh their pages.

The best hope we have imo is a functioning mmr that will only put strong squads against a killer that has much skill and experience, players who have practically mastered their main.
That is not me. I'm a fairly competent surv but by no means a good killer, reaching rank 14 or 13 at best with my Piggy and some Myers. When I got the game 1400hrs ago I attempted Nurse (the first killer i got to 50) for many weeks but finally gave up on her on my Xbox.
I am one of those convinced the vast majority of killers, including me, would dodge the hell outta all known SWF groups, to the point they'd never ever get a game.
So can't separate or advertise SWF before a match, devs won't debuff them in any way, and any buffs directly to killers would squash poor solos even further.
The only sane method imo I can see actually happening is to get solos the info & coordination capabilities to raise them toward SWF level, and then rebalance killers and maps around that new reality.
None of that means shyttt though without a proper mmr keeping players relatively in their lanes.
You don't think that those kilelrs are gonna get tired of it and quit or afk even more than they already do now sometimes? LMAO
All mmr will lead to is eventually solos realizing they need to form swf too or quit and play a better game, while killers will be matched up against swf that from their perspective at their levels feels sweaty for them and the game will become a tedious chore to deal with. Eventually mmr will kill it, it'll start bleeding off players once they realize they'd hit the point where that's as good as it gets and games like evil dead and back 4 blood have been out for a while and are probably much more fun to play. Still 'preferring' dbd at that point will be like voting for inflation and unemployment just to spite the people you don't like or out of blind fealty to a brand. They'll deserve the game they chose to be stuck with and will have no right and be in no place to complain once they have it.
I look forward to mmr for this reason only, since it'll bring me more entertainment than the game ever has before reading about it's decline once mmr's honeymoon phase is over. They need to fix the game before they do mmr lol. But devs, please don't, I'm past the point where I'd feel I'm having as much fun playing it rather than reading about the unavoidable disaster to come that will probably make recovery impossible once it is allowed to go too far lol. And then the playerbase can split off to other games and give them a chance to live for once, better games.

I don´t know what you are talking about. What you describe is exactly what is happening without the new mmr.
People afking, suiciding, or playing bad on purpose to depip and stomp new players. This won´t happen with mmr, because we don´t know how the mmr evaluates everyones gameplay.
I'm saying that, while it will take some getting there, initially it will appear to ease up as players begin having funner matches. but in the end it will begin picking up and become more common than it is now once everybody hits their elo ceiling and becomes either bored or constantly frustrated with their matches, knowing that because of the invisible mmr ranking they may as well assume that it'll be stuck that way forever unless they plan to start over and pay for the game again and play on a new account (behavior would love that of course especially with all the dlc they would have to buy all over again too). or they could just play another game. A couple of which will have been out by then, evil dead and back 4 blood.
I'll tell you what man, I'm considering playing killer and streaming it for months just to get to the prove myself right when every match becomes a miserable experience after a few months. And then stream the process of attempting to work my way out of that (since at that point I couldn't care less if it got me banned of course since the game would be no fun anyways any longer) doing things like slugging sometimes and letting them all bleed out to blow off steam if they could be caught easily, dcing as survivor or afking after the annoying new struggle suicide is thwarted, running around aimlessly on killer not even looking at the game etc.
If after weeks of doing that the matches still would be whatever level of swf it would be constantly pairing me up against or with, it would be safe to assume you would be stuck in elohell (and it would turn out to actually exist, at least in this game) and deliberately prevented from tanking the mmr by these devs that must be trying to kill dbd so they can release dbd2 or something. solos will be forced to choose between quitting and playing a different game, pairing up as yet even moar swf, or for some reason torturing themselves remaining solo being the other entertainment besides the killer for any duos and 3 man swf they get chucked into a lobby with as the number of swf naturally increases. It sets off a cascade of reactions to reactions and it ultimately will turn out to be a game full of premades of varying degrees, the ones killers are up against always feeling sweaty from their point of view, and the game just becoming absolutely tedious with no room for experimentation or mistakes.
It's going to suck and that's why I can't wait for it. Because I want to check in after a few months and then do it regularly from there so that I won't miss the point where the threads about queue times start coming back and ones about all the banhammers and deliberate bming or afking start becoming increasingly common. I find all of that delightfully entertaining. It is gonna real fun reading about this game as it goes downhill eventually. That's why I can't wait for this mmr to become permanent. It'll make the game itself either boring or miserable, but reading About the game more entertaining than it's ever been before and they probably will shoot themselves in the foot with autobans to boot eventually rofllmfao. It's gonna be like looking up at a roller coaster at just the right moment to see it suddenly fly off of the tracks with everybody screaming on it as it takes them all screaching to their doom when they thought it was gonna give them the time of their lives. Man it is gonna be awesome. This game will be so dead next year and never be able to recover lol.

Why play killer if you could wind up getting the same amount of bloodpoints finding 2 or 3 others to have funs crewing with the killer rather than being the one screwed around with?

They DC like it's their effing job.
Has several DCs tonight, both as survivor and killer. All of them were red ranks.
Spirit tricked a survivor at a pallet and grabbed her. She DC'd instantly. We were less than 2 minutes into the match.
Had two survivors DC less than TEN SECONDS into a survivor match. Apparently they didn't like the killer we got. Or the map. Or both.
It's like if the stars don't align to be a perfect game for them, they just quit.
Get over it.
they're just worn out, and probably have a good understanding of the situations they can't handle well or won't have a good time in. this is what it will be like on a larger scale once everybody settles into elohell after permammr lol. unless they let everybody ban each other, in which case within ayear the game would become a ghost town and potential new players would be driven off both by word of mouth and bad reviews from all those autobanned in droves lul. I can't wait to see the threads a few months into mmr. They are all so predictable if they haven't dealt with swf and then made the game more fun for solos by then. Since solos will either quit, get banned, or form even moar swf themselves which will impact botht he way killers remaining play and will drive some into quitting or frequently idling lmfao. This is gonna be good. So good I can taste it already. The past two days were nothing.

IIRC, they said we will have enough shards to buy one character. But I don't remember if they said how to get the shards.
iirc they said even if you didn't play alot they would make sure that everybody would be able to log in at some point and have enough of them to buy one character. So I assume if you can at least log on a few times a week briefly that should be enough, just not sure when they would be doing that whether early or late into it. I can't recall if they gave a timeframe on that. But it would be in game news probably anyways.
-
wait until you hit the Elo Deadzone 3 or 4 months into mmr if you haven't been idling in between actually playing to offset any decent matches lmfao. it will be nothing but swf that you can almost catch but just can't quite and not any harder to catch nor easy enough to make it fun once in a while if the mmr works as it's supposed to and they haven't offered a final solution to handle swf advantages by then. Frustrated solo will eventually leave or form moar swf, and moar killers will either leave, or frequently idle or just move the killer around to still get rift xp while attempting to reach playable elo lol.

(I'm also aware that this was just a test & it takes time to place you where you should be.. but jeeez)
Edit: Oh yeah.. this is my 1000th post🤗
I wonder how many of them are hiding like that just because of their own teammates and expecting the same sort of behavior from them or even having them trying to drop off the killer on other survivors if they've been having a lot of super sweatshop killers lol.

ELO isnt a one way street. Once people start to perform bad, they will get matched with more appropiate ranks.
would you really wanna play a game where the 'meta game' is deliberately half assing and maybe ins ome cases still being able to benefit from at least partly afking it in ordert o get down to where you could have alittle fun again? I imagine that is too tedious to be worth doing it over just playing a different game myself, if as I assume I would have to do it for at least one if not two matches for every decent match I had to attempt to offset it. If you've ever thought you'd seen a fair amount of afk killers toward the end of the ranking periods or rifts before you haven't seen anything yet compared to what this busted mmr system is gonna bring if they haven't made the game more killer friendly or come up with a final solution for swf voip advantages by then.
solo survivors are gonna be doing the same thing too making it a nightmare being outside of a full 4 man swf, which doing so itself only exacerbates the problems that will drive more killers off of the game or into spending more time botting it or afking or half assing it (changing channels or screens and just blindly moving the killer around taking potshot swings once a minute or two not even looking at the game lol). This is gonna be more entertaining than the shitstorm that surrounded cyberpunk the only catch is I will need to wait about 3 or 4 months after perma mmr for it to catch up to itself. It'll be well worth the wait though. It will not disappoint me in the threads which will become infinitely more fun than the game lmao.

Wrong
First of all, ranks will be removed. So there is no point in deranking for easier matched.
The mmr will match players with an equal skill level. So no noob stomping for players that try to derank on purpose.
Just 30 minute queue lengths if not longer once people realize the game isn't game isn't fun any longer. Once the matches become sweaty 99.9% of the time (outside of others attempting to throw and figure out how to game the system themselves providing some moment of relief here and there from the solos if lucky enough as killers to not see too many 3 and 4 man lobbies all super sweaty for your ELO level) they are going to need bots to replace killers and also the solos survivors that are gonna be rage quitting at levels unprecedented if they haven't figured out how to effectively and within reasonable lengths of time game the mmr system by then to make the game a little fun again for themselves.
Within two to three months for most regular players they will begin hitting their ELO Deadzones which will showcase just how broken the game is in all of it's miserable glory with the promise of no hope from ever having any relief from it even briefly without paying for the game all over again on new accounts and starting the grind all over again hoping to play more horribly the next time around deliberately. The true skill in Dead by Lobby will become deliberately playing badly in precisely the right ways in order to keep the game from becoming a permanent sweat factory once an account has been ruined by moving too high in ELO. True ELOHELL.
Oh... the symphony of their agony. And the amount of posters that are gonna be banned off the steam discussions is gonna be so entertaining, as well as watching the concurrent player numbers drop over the months once the Evil Dead game and Back 4 Blood are out LUL. I feel like the one guy peeking out of the car in Superman 2 car who said, "Man, this is gonna be good!" just before all hell broke loose in Metropolis. This is gonna be good.

Just 30 minute queue times instead once people realize they aren't having fun any more when 99.9% of the matches are sweaty and super stressful while real life is stressful enough already before playing killer in dbd a couple months into sweaty mmr after it's settled down into the deadzone. If I haven't figured out how to game the system by then and still see apotato once in a while, and if survivor queue times are unbearable again, I'll never touch the game again since the Evil Dead game AND Back 4 Blood will both be out long before then giving me what I need or crave at any given moment between the two. DBD will become Dead by Lobby if killer bots aren't out byt hen or hell even survivor bots to replace the DC increases I expect by then too from a lot of solo survivors LUL.
