I guess you enjoy a very stagnant set of 10 perks on both sides that are usable while over a hundred sit around completely unused. Perk changes have to be strong to even have a chance at replacing anything meta.

And BHVR not changing things has nothing to do with my or anyone else's suggestions. It's their own laziness. I'm just showing that a random person would be able to at least offer possibilities that don't exist in the game as it is now while BHVR sits with their thumbs up their asses.

If you have nothing constructive to say then go take yourself to another thread, your comment is as worthless as 90% of the perks in this game.

Dude, changing useless perks to overpowered level is bad way to "change meta". xD Also he was more constructive than you. He explained everything to you in one sentence. :)

My gf got me this game for my birthday in May. I honestly thought I would play it once to make her happy and then delete it to free up space on my ps4. I was surprisingly hooked and it has been my object of obsession ever since. I think it is a fun, original game with an interesting set of rules.

I'm making this post because of the ill will and negativity directed at the developers on these forums that i think is way outside the realm of reason. Seems that people will complain about anything the devs do or don't do.

The auras are fine. I understand the argument from colorblind people, but other than that maybe the devs didnt like how auras were performing. Yes, it is difficult to see the aura of a team mate hooked on the other side of the map. Maybe that's the point. Maybe the devs don't like the amount of information you could get from auras. Maybe they want us to use different strats for location. They are the creators, they have the vision and every right to enact that vision for their evolving work of art.

Billy is fine. I played as and against him before and after the update. As killer I felt strong as Billy and like the gen pressure capabilities. As survivor I feel fine facing Billy and he seems very fair, not op. He was balanced and is still a balanced killer. I don't think he needed to be changed but the devs did and I respect that. He is still good, like with the auras, he just requires a slight adjustment and getting used to the change.

Its the devs world, we just play in it.

Well... Bad communication with community, bad PR, bad decisions without any reason and... If i may add, i dont think developers of DBD care about player experience enough. Simple as that... in multiplayer game you cant neglect that.

Seriously, read patch notes from F2P game Minion Masters and how Developers communicate with players. Every (single) change in cards is justified by developers. Month after month - patch with bug fixes, tournaments, free stuff etc. And lot of changes in game are made to give players better experience. I dont play MM anymore, but i respect them for that. Game was more enjoyable when i stopped playing, a lot more...

Also, that was F2P game with 75% (at least!) less grind than DBD. -_-

Here? I dont know what and why is going on. Why Billy nerfs? I dont know. I played against him several times, he was fine, perfectly fine, running around like crazy with chainsaw. Why not Doctor nerf, most annoying thing in whole universe? Who knows? New ranking system, is it already here? I guess so, my experience is miserable now. Im connected with 20 level players, and im on green level. I see only endless grind and begging for my money with DLCs and Season Passes... In game i already bought. :/

The only single killer I would "ban" and like to never go against again would be Deathslinger.

Why him? o.O He is like weaker Hunteress. Also less annoying.

  • @hahadrillgobrrr said:

That doesn't seem fair to killers. And would increase queue times for survivors.

We can also give killers option to ban survivors, i have no problem with that. ^^

  • @HulkHodn said:

Maybe play more before complaining. e.g. you can clearly hear stealth killer like footsteps or breathing... And survivor is more stressful than killer? really?

Maybe you should play more, because if you hear them breathing you are already dead. :/ Also, footsteps, really? Are you joking?

And yes, it is more stressful.

    @HectorBrando said:

Very common complains and most of them understanable, we all have been there when you are new and confused about a lot of things, Survivor is very hard when you are starting, with time it gets better as you start to get a hang of how to play but until then it might be a very miserable experience, I recomend you play Killer a bit more at first as you can learn how to play both roles from an easier point (Killer is way easier for beginers).

The point thing is because while Survivors can start the game without items and perform pretty much the same, Killers are more dependant on add-ons. Also some time ago Survivors didnt lose their add-ons after finishing the game if they survived so they needed less while Killers always lost them so they needed more points to keep buying add-ons.

Dont say, its very common? Maybe because this is the experience of 95% of players? Just look at achievements. ONLY 46% of players have most common achievements (Yeah, this here alone should be starting point for someone responsible to gameplay in this game). So we can safely assume 56% of players are even more confused as me. 3,8% had at least once 1st rank with Killer, and 6,3% as survivor, so 6,3% are pros, like you. I beat at leas half of remaining 40% playerbase have similar experience like me. We are the "noobs" with "only" 50h on clock. So yeah, i beat its very common. This is the experience most of the players have.

While playing now i see quotes from "Game Director", "Gameplay Tester" etc. They all should be fired. My god, so many people allowed this? "New" player experience in this game is miserable. Truly miserable. I seen more fluid gameplay even in F2P games, and those games are designed to make my experience miserable.

And BTW im not new with my 50h, at this point im advanced. 50h is a LOT of my freaking time.

Dude, if you're getting crows, you haven't moved in awhile.

At least if the killer camps it's a strategy. What is watching the killer camp doing for your team besides adding to your crow collection.

Well, if you are standing in grass and killer (i guess he didnt care about time) is looking for you sometimes 2m away, lurking around you over and over again, you cannot really move because you will die. :)

Hiding is the only strategy survivors have, and yet they are punished for that. Not only with crows, but if you dont interact with killer whole game, also with bloodpoints.

This is gold. Honestly there's so much to reply to it's slightly overbearing but I will do much best by numbering paragraphs.

1# I feel that in retrospect since it is a 1v4 the person playing alone is rewarded for successfully outplaying 4 others.

2# gaining the undetectable status is only for killers as survivors already own this ability naturally since the killer cannot hear a heartbeat when near survivors or see any form of directional red stain.

3# the crows spawn to assist killers in finding people who either intend on holding the game hostage or being afk and not assisting the team. Also since the killer is technically the one in charge of the game they may decide to camp a survivor in attempt to bait an unsafe rescue or race around the map to apply constant pressure, this is their lobby and they have the control of how the game is played.

4# being paired against survivors not your rank is a way of keeping the game spontaneous as facing the same ranks may be impossible at certain hours of the day. Imagine your rank 1 but the only people playing are below rank 10, you will never be loaded into a game for hours unless a red rank killer and red rank survivors all are online and searching for lobby's all at the same time.

5# you actually can counter barbeque and chili as this perk cannot work on you if you hide in a locker, also sneaky players know you can hide directly in the line of sight of a generator and be hidden since the red aura of the generator will hide the crouching red aura of the survivor.

Phew, it was a lot but I hope I helped in some ways.

Yes ghostface is very toxic to play against but an extremely easy counter against ghostface, wraith, any stealth killer is spine chill as it gives you a very large head start since the perk activates when the killer looks towards you within a certain radius of you. Yes it counters every killer ability and any perk or add-on

Gold? Thanks, you are too kind. :)

    1. It dosent matter. First of all even after escape usually Killers have more points. And one more time - do i play less as survivor? NO. I dont. I play the same game, as long as i can, doing my best. I should not be punished just because im playing survivor. Seriously, it dosent make any sense. They dont need to outsmart anything, they have weapons.
    2. Eee... What? If he can block aura reading by skills, survivors also should have this ability. Yes, survivors have no heartbeat, but running, breathing, fixing gen, jumping - everything make a noise. And on top of that killer gets visual indicator. On top top of that, they see running scratches. They dont need hear heartbeats.
    3. This explanation also desent make any sense.
    4. Yeah... And how do you explain lobby where my 15 level basic trapper is connected to 2x<10 and 2x<4? It was impossible to find better killer? Im thaaaat good? :)
    5. Dude, HOW you can hide from BAC perk, when you dont even know killer have it? Thats the point. When i play LF its ok, he will know where im, i can react to that. I have problem with cross-perks, when Legion finds you because BAC you will never know why until game ends. Not only cross-perks make every killer the same, but also the whole perk system is unbalanced because of that, and survivors cant react respectively.

Ps. I dont have any problem with Ghostface, he is fine.

Both of those are intentional to make you buy the premium battlepass. You are supposed to get frustrated with the free version to get you to spend money. Your suggestions are good but they will never be implemented because that would make the system less scummy and the system being scummy is the point.

Yes, but its not F2P game. I paid for my copy of this game, and bunch of DLCs on top of that, ######### more do they want? Im also frustrated by this crappy F2P designe. :/ Endless grind, "Store" with seriusly outrageous prices (some of those skins are more expensive than DLC, and bunch of them are just lazy and effortless colour change), three freaking currencies to spend and begging for more $$$ on every step with crappy battlepass (with nothing in it, seriously, there is nothing in it, nothing worth even 2,5€, not mention they want more. Not only that, after you spend hard earned money, you still have play 20h to unlock this.

Jesus, devs those days. I mean seriusly, cant they just make game anymore? And DLC to support gameplay? They need to fuk people, who give them money on start?

So... now that the killes have proven they are NOT going to play fair during this event, I Think We should agree That during the next event there is no reason to make things easy on the killers. I swear to God this is the worst event ever. Killers bringing in Their worst builds, Moris, tunneling and camping. You do realise They made it easy for you to get the crown so there was a chance you would play fair?

i Think during next event you should make it so all 4 survivors need to be hooked for the killer to get the event-item. i really Think it’s a ######### behavior and it kind of shows who the real toxic people here are.. Think about that next time you sit and whine about how toxic survivors are.

And i think everyone should get items for log in to game, like in Hearthstone or any other better designed game. You know, because we all should be able to have fun and celebrate without any disturbance in gameplay. How about that?

Devs are to blame here, because they will not give us even crappy looking turd crown for free.

  • @Buttercake said:

Remember that event. I think with those flowers. Where you had to fill up vials to unlock an outfit? There was a maximum to how much both survivours and killers could get. So once the survivors maxed out there side, they moved over to Killer. 80% of the players. So no matches could start. So then the devs changed it to one side(survivours or killers) could get enough vials on their own without switching? (I think I'm remembering all this correctly.)

I was thinking that maybe the devs were worried this would happen again. So, they made it easy for survivour-main players to go in and get some crown without cloging up the system trying to play the same Killers over and over trying to get some impossible acheivement(like kill all players). So all they have to do it FIND the crown and can easily do that the 1st time they try.

I dont know. What do you guys think?

Dude, its crappy looking halo over a head, i have it over one survivor, i dont care, i will never use it, it is usless and bad looking... i cant even call it a skin. Damn, even T-Short with "4th Anniversary And All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt" would be better. :/ You are overthinking it.

An entitled player who wants everything without doing anything.

Yes, the interactive tutorial should be highlighted for those who have less than 50 hours in the game - I can agree with you on that.

The HUD is bigger than before. It's pretty easy to tell when you're oblivious or cursed, you just haven't put the time into figuring it out.

The bloodweb is grindy and sucks at times, but you get some great stuff out of it.

Everything should be unlocked from the start? What? There's no progression and people will stop playing faster than you can say oops.

Sorry that the game doesn't spoon feed you everything right off the bat, you'll find that out in more things than just DBD.

Dude, i BOUGHT this game, its not my secound work. And it sure feels like it, i need to grind endlessly to make any hero playable, and on top of that every hero is the same, so what is the point of that anyway? Killer are slightly different, and that would be great, but with shared skills even they feel the same. Almost every killer now have skill from guy with chainsaw and i learn that after games end, of course. So basically you dont know WHY while playing. Thats dumb.

Let me ask you - do you have to grind in fighting game to unlock every move with every fighter? No, because that is bad design. Or - every fighter in fighting game have shared moves? Also - no. Usually devs want diversity. Not here, i guess...

11 years after release of L4D2, there is absolutely nothing to unlock in this game, and i still dont have any problem with finding a game. People are still playing. And nobody will remember about DBD after 11 years... Think about that. Good game will be played no matter what. Good gameplay is everything, no endless grind to unlock usless skills, bonuses and items.

Main point, i dont need grind to have fun with game. And this one here would be better without grind. Not only that, there is basically nothing to grind for here... Its not MMO or RPG, just multiplayer stealth game. Why do i need to grind to play? Tell me that.

So you want everything from the start or you don't want teachables ? Everyone will play Laurie and about the "I don't know the killers' perks" part, that's the point. If you know all of his/her perks then you have really important knowledge.

...but if every killer can share skills, what is the point? I should know - ok, im fighting Legion - no hiding in closets, right? That would be fine, but with shared skills you dont know why you are exposed to killer, not until the game ends, and thats a litttle bit too late, dont you think?

Kiddo, i was a gamer before you were born. And yes, you are younger if you dont understand why i despise grinding in this game. Play some Ishar without instruction or guide and then we will talk about imaginary plates of yours.

    Also...

"Its a grind. Without the grind, the game would be dead by now. And is it really "so much"? To get a decent perk setup you need to spend maybe 3 million bloodpoints. That could be done in a few days."

Yes, few days to unlock dumb perks (to make game playable) is too much, are you kidding me?

But anyway... Yeah, DOTA2, CS:GO, Minecraft, Left 4 Dead 2, and a lot of other multiplayer games without any grinding disagree with you.
