I actually did not see that suggestion. I myself have actually suggested that multiple times in the past. Still, it does nothing to fix SWF with OoO.
I never mentioned SWF with this fix.

There's no guarantee that other players will do it. Do you really trust randoms to give you that information? And even if they do, how do you decide who has to change their build?
I suppose you ignored my suggestion of letting survivors see other survivors' perk. And as to who changes their build, they would decide themselves, it's so simplle I didn't think I would have to say it. If they are too stubborn to change their build, it would be their fault if they can't use it.

Have fun telling that to console players or people who are AFK/tabbed out until they load in.
Then just let console players able to chat, or let survivors see other survivors perk set, or don't tab out/afk when in a lobby. So many potential solutions, and you choose none of them.

This change only nerfs solo survivors. SWF only needs one OoO to know where the killer is at all times. Solos might not know that another survivor is using an OoO and then they have to play with 3 perks unless they also use For The People to rob it from the other player (which is the only way to change the obsession you ACTUALLY have control over).
"Hey guys, I'm running OoO, is anyone else running OoO?" "No" "ok, cool"
-
How could you possibly think that 4 survivors escaping with no gens done, is because of a perk or item? what?
-
Because being slugged on the ground is boring. Being hooked isn't fun either, but at least you get information as to what your teamates are doing (they can to if you have kindred) and you have a chance of unhooking yourself.

Okay But like...so do 4 other killers. What makes hag so great?
4 other killers also being great does not mean The Hag isn't great too.
-
No
-
Doing gens is just as much survivor's objective as killing is to killer. If you think genrushing is ok, then you have to think that tunneling and camping is too. It's a double standard. "i CaN Do MY ObJEcTiVe EFfICIeNtLY, BuT THeY CaN'T!" That's you, that's what you sound like. Stay salty.
-
I feel like they didn't need to change it, it was already good how it was.

No Mither should take up 3 perk slots if anything, you get Iron Will 1, Infinite Lucky Break, AND Infinite Unbreakable uses in one perk.
Also because "hard mode" perk.
No. Just no. It already has the downside of you being injured all the time and the killer knowing you have no mither meaning they don't slug you. No more downsides needed.
-
I wouldn't want him in DBD. I don't like FNAF, I don't like the idea of him being in DBD. Please just let this idea die.
-
"Why should one perk completely counter another?"
They say after they suggest a perk to completely counter another.
-
-
If no one says that they don't want it, they will think that we want it.
-
At the very minimum, it's classified as a perk.
-
Jesus why is there so many comments? The answer is yes it is, there'e no need to go anymore into this.
-
Sounds nice, I'd want it

It's fair

"They know the devs favor survivors more."
In what ######### universe do the devs favor survivors more? Killer mains get any sort of nerf and immediately jump to sobbing about how survivor-sided the devs are, forgetting that survivors get nerfed every other damn patch.
Toolboxes? Nerfed.
Medkits? Nerfed.
Borrowed Time? Nerfed.
Decisive Strike? Nerfed.
Balanced Landing? Nerfed.
Self-Care? Nerfed.
Exhaustion Perks? Nerfed.
Survivors have gotten tons of nerfs, It's much less "The Devs favor X" and much more "The Devs suck at game balance" Anything that is a minor issue is nerfed into the ground without a second thought.
Billy? Nerfed
Nurse? Nerfed
Legion? Nerfed
Legion again? Nerfed
Pig? Nerfed
Hex ruin? Nerfed
Dying Light? Nerfed
Knockout? Nerfed
If entitled survivor mains start an outcry for a killer to be nerfed, more times than not, they will be nerfed.
All of what you mentioned are nerfs that balanced the game more, while three of what I mentioned I agree needed a nerf, but they went too far.
Nurse? Yeah, Omega blink nurse was broken, but they nerfed the base-kit as well as the add-ons
Billy? Yeah, the instasaw was broken, but they nerfed the base-kit unnecessarily.
OG Legion? Yeah he was busted, but they went ham on his nerfs.
Self-care is still a good perk, but there are better perks than it.
DS was op, and deserved the nerf it got.
Balanced Landing nerfed? You mean the nerf that removed the effect of being less staggered during fall, while still exhausted? That just makes sense.
Toolboxes? Genrushing?
Med-kits? You mean the insta heal BS? That was broken and deserved the nerf it got.
Remember when the devs started banning people for using two of legions add-ons that worked well together, instead of fixing it, Like not letting the two work together or putting a cap on the max deep wound? But when it came to Wake up being bugged and working on every action, no punishment for the people abusing it? I remember that.
The devs tend to be more on the survivor's side, and it just makes sense for them. The Survivor mains are a huge chunk of their source of money. It doesn't help that they also suck at balancing their game.

I play both sides and I mained her before I realized how boring it was- she needs to be brought down a few notches
I did say how I agreed she was strong.

Nah, you were the toxic one in the end. What they did was perfectly fine.

Maybe put less of their funding into the cosmetics, and more into the bug fixing/game balancing/coding/literally anything that's way more important than cosmetics

The entitled survivor mains just want killer nerf after killer nerf after killer nerf. They know the devs favor survivors more, as they make up a majority of the community, and will ######### and complain if any killer have the possibility of actually killing. Sure, I agree that spirit doesn't give that much feedback, but they are relentless with the nonstop begging for killer nerfs even when unnecessary.
-
You're not? good to know

Yes

Entitled survivors will complain about anything and everything, if they didn't get a free win.

Its a very underrated perk. Saves you slightly under 18% progress against ruin if you have to go save someone else and protects from a PGTW hit and subsequent regression.
Two of the most common gen defense perks makes repressed alliance a good perk to consider.
Right, I wasn't saying you were wrong. But you were making it sound like you thought op was asking for a nerf, and suggested a counter to it.

Use repressed alliance
They weren't asking for a nerf.
-
God, I hope not.
-
This is some low quality bait
-
The fact that so many people say this shouldn't happen because it would increase q times because of lobby dodging, only proves that SWF has inherently broken aspects to it.
-
It's honestly just how people are. There's no changing it
-
Survivor: 37
Killer: 61
Someone had told me it ended on the 15th, and I was gonna farm all day for them, but they were wrong
-
If you don't do bones before the gens are done, that's on you. NOED punishes survivors for not doing the bones, you can literally counter it before it even comes into play. You could also bring a map, then you would be able to find bone more easily. You have so many different ways to find the bones, and you stick with the complain until you no longer have to do it route.
-
Yes, Billy did need a nerf/ slight rework this is where you and I agree. But that's where our agreement ends. If they wanted to remove insta chainsaws, they could've made the add-ons that did that not stackable, they didn't need to touch his base kit in that instance. If they wanted to nerf his basekit, they didn't need to also nerf all his add-ons, that's not how you balance things. They nerfed both basekit and add-ons, and they did it too hard.
-
Yes, this is also upsetting to me

Freddy? I agree he has green antiloop potential and great map pressure. He's also got some stealth in his kit because he's invisible when he's not up close. He can use Pop more effectively than any other killer in the game with his teleports. He can passively slow down action speed with add-ons which is something that no other killer can do. He counters Borrowed Time too because he applies Oblivious to anyone that's asleep. Most other killers that can counter BT like that have some sort of punishment or counterplay potential. Wraith has to slow to uncloak and has really loud footsteps to announce his presence. Ghost Face can be revealed. Pig's movement speed is reduced. Freddy can be getting looped around the hook and a save still wouldn't trigger BT if you're asleep. "But you can wake up!" Okay, sure, blow up a gen and lose 10% progress or go across the map and grab your clock every time you want to get an unhook just in case you need BT. Better hope he doesn't hit you on the way to the hook, though.
He needs a change to his dream snares to be balanced, though. He can currently spam them without having to slow down, which means he can even set them mid-chase while running a loop with zero penalty. Hag and Trapper need to stop to set traps, Clown (even after the buff) needs to slow down for a few seconds to reload his bottles, and Freddy can just zoom around at 115% speed while slowing down survivors as much as he'd like.
Yes, I agree 100%.
-
F. I thought people were Exaggerating how nerfed he got, then I saw how fast his overheat is and is add-ons. I thought they were trying to nerf his insta chainsaws, not his everything.
-
I agree. At this point, it's just punishing a survivor for doing a good job you know, surviving? Sure they could predict a dead hard, or a DS and slug, but not all killers will account for these things. In this way, if a survivor is able to outplay the killer, they deserve the chance to escape. How is this a waste of time, exactly? If you don't want to waste time, you could eat the DS, killer waiting a minute is on them. If they aren't near the gate, you just down them and kill them, The Struggle phase doesn't need to happen just because you can use deliverance. If they are near an open gate, than you've been outplayed, and they are rewarded for not being hooked almost the entire match. If you want to get a confirmed kill, then you shouldn't complain that you have to counter the survivor to actually get it.

Thanks

Never said nailing 15 shots was impossible, just the idea of hacking in the other 11 survivors to hit with hatchets, lol. What they MEANT vs what they typed are 2 very different things.
If they meant 15 DIFFERENT survivors, they would say so. Although something like "hit survivors a total of 15 times in a match" would be better, the phrasing in this one works too.

I just dont feel it's necessary, we shouldn't be avoiding strong killers..quite the opposite especially with an mmr system coming ? Mediocre wont cut it anymore
I'm not trying to avoid strong killers, I'm trying to see what would make him feel better to play against without actually taking away from his strengths. As i have said, I'm new to making suggestions so I'm lowkey just spitballing to see what would be a good change.

Whether to wake up and be safe from freddys powers..or prioritize gens..cuz you know, survivor should require SOME decision making man
Thanks for clarifying, this makes sense. What if instead of it being something he activates, it's something that slows down during chase. Rather than completely stop going as I believe someone suggested. this would reward being in a chase, and also wouldn't be too bad a nerd for Freddy because of the fact that he could hit the survivor to put them into dream state.
-
@HollowsGrief said:
Freddy is fine. The killers should feel hard to vs. It should feel difficult to escape and as a result, feel more rewarding.
I know that freddy is fine, but a for a lot of survivors he doesn't seem fine. They think that He's op because of getting fake pallets/snares, as well as teleportation as well as the fact that placing snares doesn't slow Freddy down. They say that he was given too much. I was trying to think of ways to make him feel better, without actually taking away from his powers.
-
@immortalls96 said:
Ah..no..that would just make him like he was before...the sleep timer is there to force survivors to prioritize
It would only make him like before if he couldn't hit people not in dream state. What exactly is the sleep timer forcing them to prioritize?

@Dead_by_Gadfly said:
Theres nothing wrong with him as he is now, just miss a skill check if youre that concerned with it
I'm mostly just trying to see what survivor's would think, seeing as in the forums a lot of people think he is OP. Just trying to think of ways to make him feel less op to people without making the nerf that bad. But also missing a skill check wouldn't really be worth it when the killer can teleport to generators as well as just go up to the gen and target you in general.

You must have gone against potatoes. And were lucky to get a 4k since the game gives the last survivor a free escape, unless you find the hatch before they do.
So when the 3 gen works the killer got lucky and "must have played against potatos", but when your 3 gen fails it's that 3 genning is overrated rather than you being unlucky? You felt like you played perfectly, but the survivor's can too. Just because a plan isn't 100% full proof, doesn't mean it's overrated.
