You have choices, personally i would go for bill to get unbreakable and borrowed time. Jake would be a good if you want to get iron will for stealth play. If you find yourself getting tunneled offen you could go with laurie to get decisive strike.

yeah i had meg on gamepass, so for sprint burst and adrenaline ? im kinda confused on how to use sprint burst, you cant use DH if you use that right ?

I've walked away from plenty of deaths as survivor with over 20k BP's, maybe you're not as good as you think you are. Just food for thought.
Nah, im good, extremely good for 90 hours of gameplay and only 50% as survivor probably, i can loop plenty of killers already, know how all the basics, know the tiles, know stuns, know how to stealth, and i have escaped MANY times, and with a lot of BP as well, just did 30k while saving at least 2 players, doing 3 gens, opening 1 exit gate, and healing people as well, im just being required too much to actually have a win, good training i guess, but i would like to have teammates that are above the "bot level", people that can at least try, or dont die after 1 second of chase, its pretty simple im not asking much or asking to win everytime, just have people on my level on my MMR, the survivors im playing with, should be on the game tutorial, or at least watching some youtube videos

This game has no real win conditions. It is what you decide a win is. Change your goals and the frustration dissapears
oh yeah, i guess i will change my goals to die every single time and call it a win, and getting barely any bp as well ! that is such a fun goal !! lets die and get 3-4k 20 times in a row and call it a win a be happy ! , please dont say such a crap comment buddy

toatlly a big disaster, 9 out of 10 matches a big failure, no matter how hard or how well i do, i unhooked like 4 + people, healed everyone back, did 1 - 2 gens still lose

If you get this kind of game and then you get 2 or 3 kills because they are too mule headed and trade hooks until you kill them, your subsequent games will only be harder.

exactly, sometimes groups comes with 4 unbreakable, 4 DS, 4 DH etc, flashlights and stuff, not to mention they are coordinating in voice etc, when i see people are real newbies i let them go, sometimes i even lose on purpose to let them escape, since i was able to down 4 survivors at like the first 2 mins of game, because i knew they are newbies, so i just let them go, but when i see people T bagging, clicking flashlight etc, and when i get them, don't expect me to let you go, specially if im using the trapper on the basement lol

yeah i got all killers, i see a lot running corrupt intervention, but what to do after that, rush the blocked gens to try and down a survivor ? what would be the "goal" , like 1 - 2 - 3 hooks while corrupt intervention is active ? because it only procs once right ?

Although I will say chapters like Plague and Clown give you some very good killer perks that you will want if you decide to stick with the role.
Again you could always just grind for them without having to pay, which is totally viable!
i will just buy all then, the money isnt important, i just wanted to make sure i would have all i wanted, or just all of them, i will even buy the licenced items too, specially the Resident evil, new leon survivor newbie incoming hahah

Ultimate doesn't have any of the licenses included, so Silent Hill would have to be bought seperately
i did the math, and if i pick them up seperated i get a better price, because if you pick them one by one, they actually have better discounts now, except that on the ultimate edition you get some sort of "universal amulet", which i have no idea of what it is, even the base game is 50% off, so i think i will stick to this solution, and also by doing this, i can actually skip some chapters i dont want probably, like the clown, or the plague, or the legion, they cost 2 dollars each at the moment, so im not sure, maybe i get them just for the survivors or something, what do you think ?
and the licensed content have different pricing and are not on any special discounts at the moment but i will still get them

Yeah with Ultimate Edition you'll get every Survivor and Killer up until All-kill (Trickster)
There's only 4 killers after him, which would be:
Nemesis, Cenobite, Artist and Onyro
Artist is an original so you can get her with shards, the rest are all licenses that are standalone
There's also 1 standalone original character who's not included which is Mikaela but you can also get her with shards if need be.
but ultimate edition doesnt give me silent hill as well either right ? thats another licensed i need to buy separated

The silent hill edition is the base game + 6 original dlcs (Hag, Doctor, Clown, Spirit and some extra cosmetics for the original characters) as well as the silent hill DLC and a cosmetic for Pyramid head is bundled alongside it
it's worth remembering any original character can be acquired for free with a lot of in-game playtime as they are purchaseable with one of the ingame currencies you earn. It does take a while to get enough for a character, though but it's very possible if you play a lot
Either way you're gonna need to shell out money for licensed content. I'd say if you're just getting started, the ultimate edition might be your best bet as it has so much content bundled into it and you can always pick/choose the licensed characters you're willing to fish out additional money for and get the newer original chapters with in-game currency instead.
The silent hill edition isn't worth the extra money, imo - you get so much more with the ultimate, going by the prices you listed here that is - it's different for me since I'm in EU
hi bones first thank you for answering that helped me a lot, im just starting on the game yes still leveling my first killer and got my survivor to 50 yesterday ( still dont have lvl 3 perks i want), im willing to spend money on the game because i like it, and i will buy the licensed content as well, so if i get the ultimate edition do i get all the survivors and killers that arent licensed ? i just want to buy everything but im trying to find out the best "path" to do it, since they have those 2 bundles but also sell each one of them separetely, so i dont want to buy "doubles", also im currently playing on xbox game pass, if i buy the steam version do i keep my progress ?

hi, this happened to me at first as well, but as you play you start getting used to it, theres one thing that helps a lot to keep track of them, its a perk called sloppy butcher, or the addon "hemorrage" that will make the survivors bleed a lot and its way easier to track them that way, im very sucessful when using this, other than that, try to not "hug" them too closely, always give them a bit of space, because if you hug them and they move aside, they will "disappear" in front of you because you are playing in 1st person, so give them what i call a "1 body of space" between you and them, and then do the heavy attack "Lunge" on them, its also good to keep a bit of distance so you can counter the 360 move by them

i would still say Steam version is the best version, availability, PTB is only on Steam, Steam supports controllers naturally and it is part of cross progression (along with Stadia and Epic and other platforms might join in the future)
i feel bad i waited to much, the ultimate edition was being sold for 20 bucks (USD) for me on xbox game pass, but i waited too much now its back to its original price of about 30 bucks

The packs don't have them all.
To make it simple, there are "licensed dlcs" that contains characters you can not purchase with in-game currency, and "original dlcs" that contains characters you can buy with in-game currency.
However, unlocking 1 character with in-game currency requires a lot of play time, expect to unlock a character per 50 hours of play time (rough estimation).
Also, you may not need to unlock all characters: killers are all unique, but survivors are "skins" if you don't take into account their perks. it's possible to unlock characters' perk without unlocking them, but it requires a lot of time and luck (I won't go in details here). However, if you plan to do all the archives (it's like season pass) and/or achievements, it's better to possess all characters.
In total, there are 23 dlcs to unlock characters.
10 of these dlcs are "licensed dlcs":
- Silent hill Chapter (contains Pyramid head and Cheryl Mason);
- Ghost Face (only contains Ghost Face);
- Leather Face (only contains Leather Face, aka Bubba);
- The saw Chapter (contains Detective Tapp, and Amanda Taylor);
- Ash vs Evil Dead (only contains Ash);
- A nightmare in Elm Street (only contains The nightmare aka Freddy);
- The halloween Chapter (contains the Shape aka Mickeal Myers and Laurie Strode);
- Resident Evil Chapter (contains the Nemesis, Jill Valentine and Leon);
- Hellraiser Chapter (only contains the Cenobite aka Pin Head);
- Sadako Rising Chapter (contains the Onryo aka Sadako and Yoichi Asakawa).
The other 13 dlcs are "original dlcs":
- Of flesh and mud Chapter (1 killer and 1 survivor);

The sillent hill pack contains 5 dlcs (4 original, 1 licensed), the ultimate edition contains 11 "original dlcs".
If you take the ultimate edition, you will be missing:
- Hour of the Witch Chapter (1 survivor);
- Portrait of a Murder Chapter (1 killer and 1 survivor);
- Silent hill Chapter (contains Pyramid head and Cheryl Mason);
- Ghost Face (only contains Ghostface);
- Leather Face (only contains Leather Face, aka Bubba);

hey guys, thanks everyone for the tips, i'm playing mostly the huntress and the trapper, i enjoy both, trapper is a bit weak on the offensive but strong on defense, heres one of my first wins with it, totally hilarious, i managed to win the game because they kept trying to save their friends lol

Hahaha that "small ball with 2 arms" means you played huntress so well that that guy ragequit. Glad you found a killer that works for you! If you're an experienced FPS veteran, I also recommend deathslinger, trickster, executioner, or nemesis.
wow, you guys wont believe, i won the second one again, with the huntress again, i went from rank IV to III i guess ? level 3 huntress now, i love the play style, so much easier and with a ranged weapon, all i needed, specially when those pesky survivors keep trying to hide behind the pallets or windows, i love it so much, im sorry my initial post was a little bit precipitate, can't wait to level up this killer, i was getting destroyed with the wraith

i would like to update this, after trying the wraith, the nurse, i tested the huntress and it was easier for me, i was finally able to hit more people and won my first round, with a level 1 huntress lol, i dont know what happened to one of the players, but after i killed him his symbol changed to a small ball with some sort of two arms, one on each side of the ball, never saw him again, finally !
